I've realised recently that I used to read tons of fanfictions (and romance stories in general) because it gave me Strong Happy feelings, which were the only one stronger than the constant anxiety and fears I had. I was trying unconsciously to avoid those.

The more I understand the anxiety, the fear, the more I face them, the less I need to avoid them. I'm not reading as much fanfiction, I'm not eating as much, it's easier to fall asleep at night.

In the future I can't wait to read fanfiction, not as a mean to avoid, but simply to enjoy it.

Thank you writers, you're so cool. And thanks to myself and my therapist: we're doing a very good job.

Hey! Hmm I'm trying this new thing called "showing that I'm a human with an actual life to the people who follow my work on here" so here I go with the info!

I'm 24. I do fanart because that's just something that I adore and I also have an art job that's my full time job. Currently I'm under contract with a company to develop a webcomic (it's not Webtoon, I'm not willing to be underpaid or exploited in anyway), and hopefully it'll be out this year or the next.

Before that I was a student in animation school. Loved a lot of it. Hated some of it; then all of it. Got burned out (with a depressed bonus).

Continued therapy. Got a hundred times better (after years of work). Am able to work again.

Surprisingly I actually managed to get my master degree despite this hell (really, thanks therapy and fuck overwork culture) and here I am having the job of my dreams ✨

(it still gets difficult sometimes, but I keep taking care of myself and I manage to not plunge into the sadness even I get triggered into it)

Now about fanarts, it makes me so happy, it's thanks to those that I found the spark to love doing art again; so when people find joy in them too it just warms my heart to blue fire temperatures ┌⁠|⁠o⁠^⁠▽⁠^⁠o⁠|⁠┘⁠♪

For those of you who want to lock all of your works with all the silly AI scraping of AO3 (which AO3 is recommending you lock your works, as stated in this post)

Here is a quick and easy guide of how to edit ALL of your works at once.

From your Dashboard click on “edit works” on the far right. This will bring up all of your works that you can select.

Select all the works you want to edit, then hit “Edit” at the bottom right.

Scroll to nearly the bottom of the page where you find “Visibility” and select “only show to registered users” and then update at the bottom.

That’s it, all of your works have now been locked without having to go in and edit each fic individually.

The reunion between Simon and his grandma has brought me so much joy. I drew this immediately after finishing awtwb last summer. Unfortunately I wasn’t satisfied with it and didn’t post it until today (still not satisfied at all, but who cares? The feelings are here) (they warm up my heart) (I’ve been waiting for this since book 1)
