Gotta say, when you grow up, red and disgusting flags in anime and manga become a lot more apparent. Didn't realise that was the case since I haven't watched an anime in a few years. I feel very sorry for my younger self that thought these kind of things were romantic/cute. Ugh

I thought this was about Danny Phantom at first and was seriously stumped after the first sentence trying to connect the show to the post.
My poor brain
The Phantom Menace is the best movie ever because the entire premise is essentially âAmazon has obtained its own private army and now two future samurai have to stop it from forcing Natalie Portmanâs planet to use its services by cutting through Jeff Bezosâs army of robots and attempting to convince Congress to do something about it SPOILER WARNING Congress doesnât do jack so Natalie Portman has to take matters into her own hands also the day is saved by a redneck kid the samurai picked up when the car broke downâ.

This is amazing. One of the best ones I've seen so far!!!! I love literally everything about this!!!
I took part in the Demon Twins Who Wrote That game over on the Haunting Heroes DPxDC server and author reveals were today. So now I can finally post the fic I wrote for it!
No Place Left to Hide
Danny is on the run. He wants nothing more than to see his family, but they're out of his reach at the moment. Then he sees a magazine article and accompanying photo of Damian Wayne. His long-lost twin brother. Maybe he does have some family he can check on. Just to spy from a distance, of course. Getting too close would only make his situation worse. But when he gets caught in the halls of Gotham Academy, he might not have a choice in the matter.

Warning: a trans Danny mentions his deadname to Damian
-----
Danny stared down at Gotham Academy. Damian was just inside those walls. All heâd have to do was go intangible and heâd be able to see his twin for the first time in eight years. The thought made his core ache, a throbbing that echoed in his still-healing injuries.
He was descending before ever consciously making the choice to actually see his brother.
It was stupid. What if Damian caught him? Told Talia, or worse, Raâs? Then it wouldnât just be the Fentons and the GIW after him, but also the League of Assassins. And he was already injured.
But he had to see. He hadnât seen Damian in years. Had lived half his life without his twin at this point.
He should leave. He shouldnât be here at all.
A moment later, heâd phased through the roof and floated invisibly in the middle of a locker-lined hallway. He allowed gravity to once more take control of him and his feet settled on the linoleum floor.
Now, to find Damian. Just to see him, make sure he was safe. The rest of his family were out of his reach; the GIW was monitoring them too closely for Danny to risk visiting. Or even just check in from a distance. And Dannyâs core was demanding he check on his loved ones.
Heâd been debating risking a visit to them regardless of the risk when he saw the magazine article: Wayne Boy Volunteers at Animal Shelter. The attached picture brought a smile to Dannyâs face. One of the few genuine smiles heâd worn since being forced on the run. In it, Damian was glaring at the camera, but his arms were gentle as he cradled a puppy. Behind him stood Bruce Wayne, grinning widely. In the article, Bruce talked about how proud he was of his youngest son and his big heart. Back when theyâd been with the League, Danny had been the only one to know of Damianâs gentleness.
Reading the article, seeing the picture had healed something in Danny. Damian had gotten out. Something heâd thought impossible when he left half a lifetime ago.
And now he was here to confirm it. To check on the twin heâd left behind. Make sure he was healthy and safe and happy. Heâd never seen Damian be any of those things before. Not beyond fleeting moments carved out in secret.
Though⊠He looked around the empty hallway and bit his lip. The school was huge and he had no idea what Damianâs schedule looked like. Where should he even start?
Footsteps echoed down the hall and Danny instinctively moved to the side to let whomever it was pass.
Only to feel a hand grip his shoulder.
Danny just barely kept himself from twisting and throwing a punch at the person. He wasnât able stop himself from jumping a foot in the air, though. And if he hung in the air a bit longer than gravity shouldâve allowed, well, Danny could only hope the person gripping his arm didnât notice.
âWayne, why are you in the hallways out of uniform rather than in your class?â
Danny blinked in surprise. âWhat?â he asked. This guy couldnât actually have mistaken him for Damian, could he have? They werenât identical twins. They didnât even have the same skin tone!
Though Danny did suppose heâd gotten more tanned lately. Being on the run meant he was spending much more time outside than normal and he always did tan pretty well, one thing to thank Talia for he supposed.
The hall monitor rolled his eyes. âWhere are you supposed to be right now?â
Danny opened his mouth, then shut it again. Should he disappear? But what if the teacher reported it? Would the GIW come to investigate? Would Damian, growing up around Lazarus pits, ping on their sensors?
He stayed put and he stayed silent.
The teacher sniffed and pulled out his phone. After tapping a bit, he announced, âHistory with Mr. Binder. Iâll accompany you back and we will be contacting your father about this behavior.â
He grabbed Dannyâs shoulder again and marched him through the hallways. Danny allowed it, not sure what else to do. And still so desperate to see his brother.
When they reached what must be Damianâs classroom, the man knocked once, then pushed the door open.
âSorry for the interruption, Mr. Binder. But I found one of your students wandering the hallways.â
Danny had barely glanced inside the classroom when his eyes fell on Damian. Everything else fell away. He didnât see the other kids, didnât hear Mr. Binderâs response. All he could see was Damian.
Even sitting, it was clear Damian was taller than Danny. His hair was shorter, his muscles more defined. And he was holding his pencil like it was a dagger he was going to throw through Dannyâs throat.
Danny grinned and, speaking a language heâd barely used in eight years, said, âItâs been a long time, brother.â
Damianâs eyes narrowed further, but he kept his posture relaxed. Except for his grip on his pencil. âYouâre no brother of mine. Who are you?â asked Damian, also in Arabic.
Danny clutched his hands to his chest. âHow could you not remember me?â he wailed. But he couldnât keep up the feigned offense for more than a second and grinned. âThough, I suppose you did used to call me sister. A lotâs changed in eight years, brother. Liat died in the league; I go by Danny now.â
At Dannyâs mention of his deadname, the pencil fell from Damianâs hands. The sound of it hitting the floor was loud in the otherwise silent room. But when Damian spoke, his voice was steady. âProve it.â
Danny inclined his head in a mock bow. âIf you insist,â he said, switching to English. âThe sun did not shine, it was too wet to play. So we sat in the house, all that cold, cold, wet day.â
Damian stood, sending his chair tumbling to the floor. âEnough!â
Danny obediently stopped reciting and grinned at Damian.
Damian hated The Cat in the Hat. Danny had heard it when heâd been sent to a daycare on one of his first missions to slip a child a mild poison thatâd leave her sick for a few days and a letter for her father, a man whoâd been planning to betray the league.
Danny had fallen in love. Heâd smuggled the book out with him when heâd finished his task. The idea of a cat in a hat coming to the league and causing a bit of destruction helped him withstand the endless trainings and trials. Besides, their grandfather and mother deserved it. And Damian just didnât see.
Though now Danny realized that was because Damian had never been allowed to glimpse what life could be outside the League. Danny, on the other hand, had been trained in spying and infiltration. Which meant he had to understand how kids his age worked and thought and acted. So he had to be around them with some regularity.
What heâd learned was that he wanted their lives, not his own. A lesson he tried, and failed, to teach Damian.
Before either Damian or Danny could think of something to say to each other, the History teacher cleared his throat. âDamian, what is going on here?â
Damian immediately stood to attention, just as Talia had taught him. âI apologize for the intrusion. My⊠brother came for an unexpected visit. May we be excused to the office so I can call my father?â
âI wasnât aware you had another sibling your age,â said the teacher with a raised eyebrow.
âHeâs from my motherâs side,â said Damian.
Danny hummed. True enough, he supposed. They did share a biological mother. Even if Danny refused to ever acknowledge her as such ever again.
He really didnât have much luck with mother figures, did he? Maddie had turned out to be just as bad as Talia.
In the end, the teacher really didnât have a choice but to let them go. Though the hall monitor who had caught Danny insisted on accompanying them all the way to the office despite Damianâs protests that he knew the way.
Danny hid a scowl at the situation. Heâd had no intentions of meeting Bruce Wayne and now it looked like heâd either have to reveal his powers and run or meet his biological father. His core ached at the thought of leaving Damian, though. And he couldnât risk letting Raâs or Talia find out about his powers.
He ignored the longing he felt at the potential for a true family, for a father who loved him unconditionally. He was zero for three on parental figures. No way was he going to try for a fourth.
âHow are you here?â asked Damian in Arabic as they walked.
Danny shrugged and answered in the same language. âDidnât have anywhere else to be. Saw you in a magazine and figured Iâd check in.â
âIn aââ Damian cut off with a noise of frustration. âI thought you were dead. Did Mother put you in a pit?â
âAs far as Iâm aware, both Talia and Raâs are also under the impression I am dead-dead. Though now that weâve had contact, I donât suppose that will last much longer.â
âHow did you survive?â demanded Damian.
Danny stared ahead and bit his lip. After a moment, he said, âI did try and take you with me, you know. You were the only thing I regretted leaving behind.â
The resulting silence lasted until they reached the front office. Danny didnât know how to break it.
They were instructed to sit in plush seats facing the office staff where they could be observed as Damian spoke to their his dad.
Damian pulled out his phone, but before he dialed, asked, âHow did you get caught? Have you forgotten all your training?â
Danny didnât bother to try and hide his blush. Heâd been relying on his powers and mustâve let his invisibility drop by mistake. It was justâŠheâd been on the run for almost two months now. He was hungry and tired and in pain. If Jazz knew, sheâd scold him for neglecting himself. He shouldâve expected something like this would happen the moment he got distracted.
But how to explain that without explaining everything? âThe last few months have been hard,â he settled on. âDue to certain circumstances, I am no longer welcome at the place Iâve called home the last few years and had to leave suddenly. Thus, I am not currently at optimal physical health. I grew careless.â
Damian frowned and looked down at his phone. Rather than answer, he opened his contacts and dialed the one labeled âFather.â
Danny probably should be more cautious. He probably shouldnât trust Damian. But this was his brother. The only good thing from his early childhood.
And he was so, so tired.
Danny let himself slump against Damianâs side. Damian tensed for just a moment before he relaxed.
âHello, Father,â said Damian into the phone.
Danny let his eyes drift shut as he listened to Damianâs side of the conversation.
âNo. I am well. But thereâs been a situation.â
Danny snorted at that description, and Damian pinched his thigh.
âIt is not something I can explain over the phone, but I need to be picked up from school. Immediately.â
Bruce Wayneâs voice was just indistinct enough that Danny had a hard time understanding it, though he could hear the worry in it.
âIt is a family matter. You will wish to be here quickly as there is a strong possibility we will not have the chance again.â
âThink Iâm that good, do you?â huffed Danny under his breath. Damian just pinched him again with a tut.
âCould you stop and pick up a smoothie on your way in? With extra protein powder?â
Dannyâs breath caught. Was Damian asking on his behalf? Itâd been so long since heâd been around Jazz or his friends. He hadnât had anyone look out for his wellbeing in months.
He screwed his eyes tight against the burning and focused on keeping his breathing steady.
The rest of Damianâs conversation consisted of stilted goodbyes and promises of explanations once they got home.
Despite his apprehension at meeting Bruce, sitting in a comfortable chair leaning against his brother after months of being on edge was enough for him to slip into a shallow doze. Damian would keep him safe. Whatever disagreements theyâd had as children, that had been a constant. Danny was vaguely aware of the office staff talking and making noises. Damianâs shoulder shifted slightly as he did something on his phone. But Danny was more asleep than awake.
Until Damian tensed and shrugged his shoulder. âFatherâs here,â he whispered in Arabic.
Danny was instantly awake, though he kept his posture relaxed. Bruce Wayne was someone who had attracted the attention of Talia al Ghul. Whatever face he presented to the public had to be a lie, and Danny didnât know what to expect from him.
One thing Danny did know, though, was that he refused to go back to who heâd been with the league. The formality was so exhausting. And his very core rebelled at the thought of going back to a life of violence and suffering. Heâd left to be a regular American kid, and that was what Bruce Wayne would meet.
Maybe his second death made that life impossible, but while he still had breath in his lungs and a heart that beat, he was going to cling to the dream.
So, rather than follow Damianâs lead and sit up straight and formal, Danny stretched his arms up and yawned loudly. âOpe, sorry for falling asleep there on you Dami,â he said in his strongest Midwestern accent.
Damian shot him a look, but didnât respond. Still, when he stood, he offered a hand to Danny to help him up as well.
Danny grinned as he took it. Then he took a fortifying breath and turned to face Bruce Wayne, his biological father.
Bruce stared at him, face blank. His eyes lingered on where Danny still clasped Damianâs hand. To his disappointment, Damian let go at the look.
The stern look only lasted seconds before Bruce smiled broadly and his body language became relaxed and open. âYou must be a friend of Damianâs! I take it this is for you?â He held out the smoothie for Danny.
Danny hesitated. His stomach ached with hunger, but he couldnât bring himself to move. This was his biological father.
Damian misunderstood his hesitation and grabbed the smoothie himself. He took a deep swallow and in Arabic said, âIt is safe, brother.â
If Danny hadnât been staring so intently at Bruce, he wouldâve missed the small twitch the man made at the word âbrother.â
Danny grabbed the smoothie and took a long drink. He couldnât stop the quiet sigh at the taste. It was the best thing heâd had in weeks. âSo, whatâs the plan?â
âIâm parked right out front! Let me just sign you both out and we can be on our way.â
âOh, you just have to sign out Damian. Iâm not a student.â
âWell, I suppose that explains the lack of a uniform! How do you know my Damian, then?â
âFather,â hissed Damian. In Arabic he said, âI will explain what I can in the car as I promised.â
Danny just took another sip of his smoothie and remained silent.
Bruceâs eyes flicked to Danny, gaze sharp. But he remained relaxed and ruffled Damianâs hair. âOf course, of course.â
Damian glared at him as he smoothed his hair back down.
Bruce laughed with the office staff and signed the requisite paperwork, then the three were making their way outside.
The car out front was a fancy sports car. Danny hesitated a moment before entering. He glanced down in both directions, but knew a school like this would have too many cameras to hide from.
And now that he had Damian in front of him, he was certain his core would protest if he tried to leave.
Damian made a sharp gesture to him, ordering him into the car. Danny slid in. The door shut behind him. He gripped his smoothie with both hands to mask their shaking and took another sip.
âFather,â started Damian. âThis isâŠâ he broke off.
âYes?â prompted Bruce after a moment.
âThis is my twin brother, Danny. Your other biological son.â
Bruce froze. Danny didnât even think he was breathing. One hand rested on the gear stick where heâd been planning to put the car in drive, the other dug into his own leg.
âWhat.â Bruceâs voice was hard and flat, not a hint of the jovial man from the office.
âIn his defense,â said Danny. âHe thought I was his twin sister. And that I was dead.â
Bruceâs eyes closed and he took several deep breaths. âYour name is Danny?â
âYep.â Danny popped the p. âChose it myself six years ago.â
âItâsâŠa good name.â
âThanks! It was my dadâs dadâs name.â
âYour dad?â asked Bruce.
Danny hummed. âYeah. Got myself adopted after I ran away from Talia and Raâs. But that living situation fell through a few months ago.â Which, really, understatement of the century, but Danny wasnât going to go into it. âSo I had to leave. Thought Iâd check up on Damian. Mind if I come over to visit after Damian gets out of school for the next few days? Iâve got a hotel room lined up in the city,â he lied. Squatting was way easier when you were half-ghost.
Damian broke in at that. âYou will be staying with us, not in some hotel,â he spat the last word. âAnd not just for a few days. Live with us.â
âCanât stay more than a few days, Iâm afraid.â The GIW or his parents would definitely find him if he did. âBut if no one minds, I wonât turn down a room if youâve got a spare.â
âFatherâs house is large,â said Damian. âThere are plenty of spare rooms.â
âDamian is right,â said Bruce. âI insist you stay with us. We can discuss more over lunch when weâre comfortable.â
Danny shrugged. âIf you insist.â Heâd disappear, of course. Too risky to stay and lead the GIW to Damian when he still wasnât sure of the connection between ectoplasm and the Lazarus pits.
Bruce let out a long sigh and put the car in gear. âI do,â was all he said.
Danny watched the scenery go by, pretending not to notice the two pairs of eyes glued to him.
After several long minutes of uncomfortable silence, Bruce spoke again. âI am glad to meet you, Danny. Iâm happy you came to Gotham.â
Danny hummed. He supposed time would tell if any of them would come to regret it.

Oh, God. Actually competent people are coming and they know what they are doing.
Danny will be annoyed when he first sees more people in white suits at first, "Great, more clean freaks after my head." But I think he'll start to be a lot more nervous when he sees that they are actually a lot more competent. It could even be shown like this:
Phantom is chasing a ghost, maybe it's the Ectopus or one of his regular rogues, or something, and his target gets captured by the new GIW. It was done swiftly and cleanly. He is now terrified for:
a) The captured Ghost
b) Himself
Cause oh Ancients, that's very bad.
His team and him could go on the whole extraction mission for that Ghost after and even succeed, all the while the agents are trying to get the young protector to stop for a second and talk. Nope, not listening to you all!
All agents see is that while capturing a Ghost to lure the protector works, the damage to their machines that happens when the protector is trying to save someone is not worth the risk. Some of them now have to go and be decontaminated due to ectoplasm being everywhere.
------
On a separate note, I think they'd help Valerie. Her family suffered from Ghosts a lot and that's why Vlad was able to take advantage of her. They could do something about the financial side or even employment.
Vlad... idk yet. They definitely, at some point, see a very malicious and strong Ghost that keeps bothering the protector and would probably try and help the young one. Maybe they learn that he is still half alive in the process and are floored. Like, what do you do in this situation???
Or! Or!
Vlad could get caught, get detransformed, reveal that he is a halfa (but in a "I'm the victim, help, that Ghost Boy is the mean one blah blah blah" way) and they just don't buy it. Tf you mean? We saw what you do, the Boy is using self defence most of the time, while you, Mr. Vlad, are in some hot water now.
____
Is this after the AGIT? Cause that be hilarious.
Well, almost.
There are 2 Valeries....
The Worst Branch in the Country
The GIW knows Amity Park is a huge fraud. The âmost haunted city in the USâ, really? Theyâve been checking the place out for decades with nary a peep aside from that couple of crazy scientists that moved into town around twenty years prior.
Because of this, the town became a punishment duty. One of their agents causes trouble? They get put in time out and sent to work for a while in Amity Park. Let those idiots chase after pointless rumors while the actually competent agents work with the more important ghosts. The reports back from the town get barely more than a cursory glance before getting tossed in the shredder.
âŠWhich really came back to bite them when ghosts did actually start to show up, and they didnât realize until after the Amity Park branch had royally screwed up the situation.
Fuck, they really hope this doesnât start a war.
Optional DPxDC addition: they call in the Justice League Dark for help with negotiation and taking down their rogue members
#danny phantom#no dc sorry#(i'm not sorry this premise doesn't need it)#<prev tags#this is such a cool idea!#GK or nah?#I think Vlad wouldnât say that Danny is human too#he'd try to say that he is a bad bad ghost and is mean to him like he did a few times#Danny can be a jerk#but it's usually pretty mild#especially when we compare it to what Vlad is/was doing#There's also that whole Dani thing...

I'm in love with this whole thread. The last time I saw it, it was only "Sam/Martha appearance" long. This turned into a masterpiece only few threads ever become
After moving to Gotham and having to deal with a stressful job, Danny has started taking walks around the city as a way to destress.
Since he knows that he could get mugged, he just becomes intangible and invisible while listening to some loud music on his phone.
Unfortunately for him, his control on his Invisibility keeps slipping when he gets lost in his music, and the people of Gotham keep seeing a semi-translucent ghost man walking around at night aimlessly.
Some thugs think itâs just a meta with invisibility and try to mug him, but pass right through and he disappears completely. This convinces them that he is a ghost, since having both invisibility, and intangibility would be too big a coincidence. Not to mention he never reacts to them whatsoever.
The Batâs get word that a Ghost has been stalking the streets of Gotham, and he looks scarily like Bruce Wayne from the little they have been able to see from him. Now Batman thinks his dad may have come back as a ghost.
Danny is oblivious to all of this. He just likes his nightly strolls.
#reblog#Danny and Sam are reincarnations of Thomas and Martha#I think when they were at the gala they thought that it was a bit that went too far but it was actually their past lives kinda taking over#a lil bit#amazing#also#ik Dani/Ellie is a clone but what if she is the unborn sister too?#like#the soul had to come into the body from somewhere

I love all of these so much. May I add them to my HC as well?
Crossover Headcanons: Worldbuilding Edition
A collection of DPxDC headcanons from myself and various posts, in no particular order.
Green stuff
Dionesium is, or is one of the main decay byproduct of, ectoplasm. It is the defining element in Lazarus water.
Lazarus water is a naturally occurring compound that amplifies certain effects of ectoplasm. Concentration of ectoplasm in the waters is surprisingly low despite the appearance.
College trio as the Doctor Three. Who lead the study on dionesium in Gotham University at some point.
Talons created by the Court of Owls are a special type of liminals, and communicates within themselves via a dialect of ghost speak.
Realms stuff
Infinite realms, or pockets within it, had been observed and accessed before, by different civilizations under numerous different names.
The Kryptonians used the realms as a means of banishment, which they called the phantom zone.
GIW stuff
GIW is operating under All Purpose Enforcement Squad (APES), headquarters in mount Rushmore.
Anti-ecto Acts is a set of old laws dating back to civil war era, only brought back into practice in recent years.
Liminals have significantly higher chance of activating metagene. May or may not be causing the metagene mutation in the first place.
Anti-ecto Acts might be intentionally exploited as a backdoor to meta protection acts.
Ring stuff
Pariah Dark's ring of rage turned into the phantom ring after Danny officially claimed it. It enhances all emotions of the owner equally.
Danny lost his ring at some point and it became known to the lanterns as the phantom ring.
In the hands of realm ghosts the phantom ring glows green regardless of the emotion it is enhancing, as ghosts are beings of pure will. Otherwise it is black with a faint white glow. (Can't believe this one matches up, I love lore stitching)
Balance stuff
Danny bears both Life Force and Death Force in equal amounts. His only way to accessing them is channelling a mixture of the two to power his ghost wail.
Ghost Wail infused with both acts like a simple sonic attack. But if powdered only by death force it's functionally the same thing as Void Wind, which 'negates the power and immortality of the gods. Enabling it to shut down any form of arcana used against it'.
Dark Danny only process death force as he no longer have a human side for balance. His death infused wail could be how he destroyed the world without much interference from magic users.
Danny's Wail can be infused with only life force instead, which would eviscerate ghosts. Possibly only possible when he is in human form.
Glitchy stuff (not really DC related)
Dark Danny's attack on Clockwork's tower created some pretty severe glitchs in time (ha) across all of the living realms.
As the clocktower take damage some universes collapsed together, and some timelines became contradictory and paradoxical (typical comic reboot am I right?đ
)
After Dan finally calmed down he becomes the ultimate errand boy for clockwork. Showing up an fixing things he broke under the guidance of the ghost of Time.
Stranger stuff
Dan got sentenced to Life (literal) in an alternate ending of glitch in time, which capped his destruction and eventually calmed him off.
Reformed Dan is doing social services as penance, in the DC multiverse he goes by the alias of Phantom Stranger.
#dpxdc#dcxdp#world building#headcanons#reblog#it all makes too much sense and I love it#sosososo much

So, originally, I was thinking of how much the events that happen to him would impact him as Damian. But then I realised something, the events that happen to him don't have to be super traumatic to him specifically.
When he arrived to his Fatherâs house, Danny was, admittedly, a little worried about getting attached and not being able to leave. He didn't have much attachment towards anyone in Ra's cult tho. He wasn't fruitloopy enough to actually buy any of their teachings despite associating with Vlad.
Anyway, he whispered about his worries to Clockwork a day before he left to Bruce and thought long and hard about what to do. And well, he wasn't a Heir to the Demon for nothing. The training did bear fruits. All he had to do, is use the background the adults in his life so far were actively making for him.
He was supposed to be a child assassin that believed that he had to fight for his Father's affection and his rightful place, wasn't he? So that's what he did. He did feel very guilty regarding what he did to Tim in his first few weeks there. Stubbing him in the shoulder and then "attempting" to end him later on was going against everything Danny stood for but he had to do it.
It worked and the family, despite their attempts to connect, couldn't really see past the "Stubby baby ninja". The closest anyone had gotten, was Dick. On numerous occasions, Danny wished that they met as Danny and Dick and not when he was Damian, in fact, he found the whole family quite fun to hang around with. (He may or may not be planning on how to go about meeting them later when he becomes Danny again. Let's just say, he wasn't that successful in coming up with a plan).
He found a way to distance himself from them and stuck to it.
Damian was killed by Heretic and went to hell for a some time.
Welp, in order to actually reconnect with his ghostly side, Danny needed to die and Clockwork arranged for that. His trip to hell, which wasnât revealed to others until he had to talk about it (not in detail mind you), was actually him going back to Infinate Realms where he spent some time catching up with his Rugues and checking the Realms over. The scary part of hell he passed through, when he was with other heroes, was just a small part of the territory he was in (if we take it post AGIT, then he knows he is a Bridge and was doing some much needed maintenance. If he's GK, then his presence there was even more understandable).
So, He was there and got revived but because it was done using Chaos Shard and not Lazarus Pits like he thought he'd be, he was back to being almost fully human with just some ghostly trates picking through (a little bit better at blending into thr shadows, some occasional intangiblity or invisibility, not much). It was... a bit disappointing.
When Bruce was lost in time, he helped Tim with finding him because he knew how to. Originally, he was going to just let Tim do his thing but then he saw just how much it took out of the teen, he couldn't do it. He just couldn't let him destroy himself over this, especially when his family wasn't believing him at all.
Damian helped Tim much to the latter's surprise.
The whole Lizard Cult Death Match debacle is also a lot less about him proving to himself that he wasn't a monster and more about the fact that he needed a sure way of becoming a Halfa again. It worked. After his first death during the Death Matches, he absorbed the ambient Ecto and was once again a freshly 14 Half Ghost.
Getting to know his crazy Grandma was an expected thing but oh well.
Learning that Pariah Dark was actively trying to escape through the Pits and wasn't just asleep was also a shock.
So since the Matches, under the pretence of finding himself like Bruce did, Damian traveled all over the world locating and closing the Pits.
He learned that Respawn was his brother and allowed himself a moment of weakness. He saved him when he was about to die and hid him with Frostbite (please, help me work this point out. I don't know enough about Respawn yet but the happiness on Damian's face when he learned that he had a Biological brother was too much not to include.)
Anyway, 16th Bday rolls around and... he leaves.
He didn't even wait for the cake or anything. (If we take it that Alfred is dead, then off. If Damian saved him because he was more skilled, then nice. You choose).
Damian left nearly everything but a few momentos behind and left. He suppressed the longing for the life he built, as dysfunctional as it was, and disappeared, fully intending not to see anyone again.
A few days later Danny was back in Amity Park and was telling his friends how he was on one heck of an adventure from Clockwork just now. Oh, and meet my new Brother.
_____
Unbeknownst to him, he was a very loved part of the Batfamily. He tried to be snobbish and rude and they bought it for the first year or so, but then he helped Tim and it started the trend of other members noticing his awkward kindness.
They loved their little Stubby brother.
They were distraught when he disappeared again. Completely disappeared. No trackers, no chips, no camera ever saw him leave (he used his Halfa powers to leave and Amity is so enveloped in Ecto, it'salmost on the line between the Realms and mortal world. Normal people arents even aware it exists).
Needless to say, they are frantic and are searching for him
Danny is reborn as Damian Wayne except he has zero plans of staying as Damien
There was an incident when Danny was 16 that caused him major injuries. in a deal with Clockwork as a way to technically rejuvenate him with no repercussions and as a way to still watch over Amity with full power. he needed to be reborn.
He is reborn back in time as Damian Wayne. Danny has to do certain things as canon events but by the time he reaches 16, he can leave and go back to Amity. which will not have even realized he has been gone.
Danny goes through all the normal plot points like being raised by the League of Assassins and going to train with his father as Robin but instead of treating it as his entire life's purpose he is treating it like a Clockwork mission. Danny has done a lot of missions where no time has changed at all between his leaving and coming back to the present so he is not very concerned.
Unfortunately for Danny he did not think of the loose ends he would leave. The bat family wakes up one morning expecting for Damien to be at breakfast only for him to not show up. They check rooms, Friends and trackers but they cannot find him.Â
While Danny is reuniting with his friends and about to start his senior year, the entire hero community is trying to figure out where Damian has gone.
#dpxdc#dc x dp#dp x dc#dcxdp#danny fenton#Look#i can't control plot bunnies#they took over#sorry for the long post I got carried away x.x#but yeah#Damian's adventures always had a different undertone to what we had in canon but others just werenât aware of that#he tried to be his canon self and failed#sure he was behaving way differently to how he behaved as Danny but some Danny did peak through#*gasp*#what if his behavior and habits did change actuality and he just wasnt aware of that since it was very gradual?#no person can live 16 years in a new environment and not change#Danny wouldnt realise that until he returns#Sam and Tucker are trying to look past the fact that he changed but its VERY obvious#and they dont accept change nearly as easily as they thought they would#it's hard to see your friend as the same person when he acts and looks so differently#anyway#Bats are sad and Danny is more Damian than he thought he was#is this good parents au?#idk#your choice since both variations open up a lot of possibilities#sorry for the typos#no time to proof read
