Marauders' Podcast
Prologue
In the Hogwarts castle there are many secrets: rooms would appear and disappear, stairs would lead to apparently nowhere, monsters were said to be hidden in secret chambers, mysterious tunnels, secret passages and much more.
One of these secret rooms, in a secluded corner up the fourth staircase from the left, in the seventh floor, behind a tapestry, through a narrow tunnel, would host a magical recording station, perfect for four boys who were strongly opinionated, loud, and with too much time on their hands.
That’s the story of how the Marauders’ Podcast was born, a Podcast that would force everyone to listen to it (literally, the boys had charmed all of the magical radios in Hogwarts to syntonize to it).
So, since you literally cannot stop listening to it, go grab a hot chocolate, a nice blanket, and brace yourself for the ride. It’s gonna be messy.
A.N: I'm so excited for this!! This was actually born by a post of @kingstarkingslay, who dropped a series of titles for a hypotetical Marauders Podcast (go read it, it's so funny!), and it gave me the idea to write a series of one shots about our boys making a podcast at Hogwarts. The chapters will be titled after their post. So yeah, I'll try to be consistent in writing, but right now I'm moving from Budapest back to Italy, so I don't really know when I'll manage to publish the chapters. Stay tuned to find out, I guess!

Forest
@moonwater-microfic December 8th -342 words
“You know, I think we should find a different place for our meetings.”
Remus looked at Regulus while blowing warm air on their conjoined hands, trying to warm them.
“Why, Lupin, is the Forbidden Forest not of your liking?”
Regulus said rolling his eyes, but he accepted the contact nonetheless (Remus considered the fact that he was allowed to hold his hands his biggest victory)
“Not that I don’t find it romantic, but darling, it’s freezing out here.”
“Well, since somebody decided to become friends with my estranged brother, I don’t want to take the risk of him seeing us. Therefore, we’re in the forest.”
Remus just looked at him fondly, and Regulus averted his gaze, focusing on their hands instead.
“Regulus, you do know that Sirius is not the monster you think he is, right?”
“Remus, don’t. I don’t want to fight him. I don’t want to confront him, yet. I just… want to enjoy this. You. I want to be free of him, and his shadow, for another bit.”
Remus knew what he was talking about. They actually talked about it a couple of times when they started seeing each other: Sirius was a big deal breaker for Regulus, and it took him a long time to accept to start seeing Remus, because he was afraid of the reaction his brother might have had. Every time they spoke about it, Regulus ended up closing on himself, not wanting to disclose too much of what he really felt, and trying to push Remus away.
Unfortunately for him, five years spent with the Marauders (and a nice motivational speech made by James and Lily), made him into a very stubborn young man, so they were still seeing each other.
“I know, love. I will never push you to tell him before you are ready, I told you: you set the pace. I just want you to think about it, alright?”
And with that, he kissed his hands, which he was still holding, before letting him go before going back to the castle.

C.W: suggestive content, mentions of nudity
Sirius’ day had been awful, to say the least. First: he had woken up late, so he had to skip breakfast to get to the Cursebreaker facility on time. Then, the day’s job had ended with a conspicuous amount of weird green gooish stuff all over him and his colleagues. He had to change clothes back at the facility, but he forgot to bring a spare shirt, so he was still covered in that disgusting thing. Then somebody had decided that competence was something too hard to have, and caused a storm in his office, ruining his report, forcing him to do it again. Finally, to top it all off, he forgot to tell Remus to not put up the anti-apparition wards that afternoon, since he didn’t take his bike to work, and he had to go home using the Miggle public transport, which, if you’ve ever been to London, on a Monday, at 5pm, you’ll understand why it soured Sirius’ mood even more.
So there he was: at 6pm, still covered in green goo (that was now starting to smell too), in front of his door, realising that he forgot his keys.
Luckily the anti-alohomora spell was not on, so Sirius could still get into the apartment, where his mood immediately picked up.
His boyfriend was waiting for him, with a plate of freshly baked brownies on their living room table, a cup of his favourite tea and his beautiful body covered only by a white apron adorned with the sentence “Kiss the cook” on the front.
A shiver passed down Sirius’ spine at the sight.
“Well, good afternoon, beautiful”
Sirius was so incredibly grateful. He thanked Merlin, Morgana and even some Muggle deities, for good measure, for the gift that was Remus Lupin.
Remus Lupin who was now coming towards him, a naughty glint in his eyes, ready to wrap himself around his very awaiting boyfriend.
“DON’T TOUCH ME!” Sirius yelled, flashing his hands in front of him to keep Remus at distance.
“Ouch. I didn’t think I was that hideous, Love”
Remus answered, the clear sarcasm hiding some real concern (Sirius would have never, NEVER turned down a propositioning Remus in his right mind.)
“Remus, Moony, love of my life. I love you, and I really, really want to jump your bones right now, but I am covered in weird, green, smelly goo that I have no idea what it is. So please, for the love of Merlin, stay away from me. Give me like- five minutes and please, PLEASE don’t cover yourself up.”
Remus chuckled, amused by the funny situation.
“Actually, since this is the situation, I guess I could cover myself less, and join you in the shower. How about that?”
Sirius didn’t know who else to thank for this blessing that was his boyfriend, so he just thanked him.
“Yes. Please, thank you. I would like that. Very much.”
“Well, let’s go then.”
With a salacious wink, a Sirius wink you could say, Remus turned his back at his boyfriend, slowly undoing the knot that was keeping up his apron, giving Sirius a perfect view of his bum.
“Well? Are you coming, love?”
Sirius could just scramble to get in the shower as fast as he could.

Cold
@wolfstarmicrofic December 16th -775 words
Remus was slowly waking up. The familiar ache in his joints was duller today, but still present. The moon hadn’t been bad at all, he didn’t feel excruciating pain anywhere in his body, he felt like none of his bones broke and didn’t register any open wounds. Overall, a nice moon.
The strange thing about that morning was the warm, plushy and furry cushion his head was on. It was so comfortable, Remus didn’t open his eyes, he just snaked his hand through all that good smelling fur, snuggling his face in it as well.
Around him he could hear some muffled giggles, and he furrowed his brows, but still didn’t feel like opening his eyes: he was too comfortable.
Then, something wet was lapping at his face, and he opened his eyes just to stare into Padfoot’s big black snout.
“Ew, Padfoot, why would you do that? That’s disgusting!”
Finally he registered where he was: the Shrieking Shack was enlightened by the first sunrays, and he was snuggled up on Padfoot’s gigantic form, using him as a pillow on the floor. His body was covered by a heavy blanket, and Prongs and Wormtail were looking at him from the bed.
“Good morning sleeping beauty! How are you feeling?”
James was energetic as always, but Remus noticed that he stifled his enthusiasm for his sake, he mentally thanked him. “I’m fine, nothing broken and no open wounds, so…”
He was still petting Padfoot, who hadn’t transformed back, choosing to accept the cuddles given by his boyfriend.
“Sorry you had to sleep on the floor, mate. We tried to get you on the bed, but… hum…”
Wormtail was trailing off, and decidedly not looking at him in the eyes.
“What? What did I do? Did I hurt any of you?”
Remus was starting to get paranoid, but James calmed him.
“None of that, Moony, calm down. You just didn’t want to leave Padfoot’s side, that’s all. When you transformed back, we put a blanket on you and let you sleep for a bit.” Prongs’ grin never left his face, and Remus felt like there was something they were not telling him.
He looked at his boyfriend, who responded with a friendly bark and a lick on the tip of Remus’ nose, before turning back into Sirius and enveloping him in a hug.
“Good morning, darling. Merlin, it’s bloody cold in here! How did you make it all these past winters without us to keep you warm?”
Remus just shrugged, ignoring the snicker coming from the bed behind him. What the hell were they not telling him?
“I managed.”
“Well, lads, me and Wormy are off. We’ll leave you two lovebirds alone, so that Remus can have some privacy. Speaking of: you might wanna pick that blanket up, mate.”
Remus scrambled to pick his blanket up and cover himself better, he hadn’t noticed it slipping off that much, while James and Peter fled from the shack, still bloody laughing.
“Ok. What happened? Why are they laughing like maniacs?”
Moony asked his boyfriend, who was passing him his clean clothes that he placed in a drawer the night prior.
“Ah, that. It’s nothing, don’t worry. Moony was just a bit… affectionate, last night.”
Remus picked up what Sirius was implying, and felt the urge to bury himself. Instead, he just buried his face in his hands, hiding his embarrassment.
“Oh Merlin, please tell me I didn’t.”
Sirius laughed at his boyfriend, and just hugged him, forgetting the clothes for a moment.
“It’s nothing, Moony. I found ìt quite flattering, actually. Even in wolf shape, you still can’t resist my charm. It’s admirable, truly.”
“Fuck off.”
Sirius barked a laugh and just started leaving kisses all over Remus’ face, trying to cheer him up.
“Oh, come on. Don’t kill yourself over it. Dress up instead, you’re gonna get frostbites in this bloody cold.”
Remus shoved him away, still too embarrassed, and started dressing up (he was actually very cold). Once he was done, he laid down on the bed, and Sirius joined him. Remus would have had to wait for Madame Pomfrey to come fetch him.
“Sirius, you should go, Madame Pomfrey will be here any minute now.”
“I’ll just turn into Padfoot, she’ll figure a big black dog broke inside this morning, don’t worry about it.”
“Mh, if you say so…”
But Remus couldn’t really put two coherent thoughts together: he was already drifting back off to sleep. Sirius looked lovingly at him, kissed him on the tip of his nose, and turned back into a dog, curling up beside him, offering a soft pillow to rest on.

Beautiful
Prompt: Snow | @moonwater-microfic | Words: 839
As they broke apart from a fleeting hug, Remus felt a warmth inside him that really had nothing to do with the many layers he was wearing. He felt so loved, so enraptured, so- taken aback by the sudden look of disgust on Regulus' face.
"What's wrong?" He asked, brow furrowing as a dozen fears circled through his mind - each more worrisome than the last.
"You've got-" Regulus appeared to pause, and cleared his throat. "Dandruff."
He felt his eyes widen in response. Needless to say, that hadn't made it onto Remus' list of things to worry about. Heck, he'd washed his hair that very morning.
Remus removed a glove from his hand, and ran his fingers through his hair. When he surveyed his palm, his skin was damp and glistening.
"That's just snow," he said with a small laugh, fixing his gaze back on Regulus.
Regulus' expression remained uncertain. "Snow?"
"Yeah…" he replied slowly, "The white stuff that falls from the sky-"
"I know what snow is," he grumbled, frowning petulantly. Regulus hated being made to feel like a fool, but Remus hadn't been able to help himself.
"Are you sure?" Remus asked in return, no longer laughing. The trace of a smile still adorned his face, but it had given way to a look of intrigue. "Have you seen it before?"
Regulus paused, and Remus suspected he was waiting to figure out if Remus was making fun of him again, before he shook his head. "I mean, I've seen it on the ground after waking up. Or when it's turned to ice. But never… nothing like- Hey, what are you doing?" He was distracted by Remus suddenly grasping his hand and pulling him in the direction of the main entrance. "Remus, stop. Get off me, someone's going to see-"
Remus obliged, letting go of his hand once he was sure Regulus was still following him at pace, and the pair stopped only once they were both outside. A fresh layer of snow coated the ground, where students had walked only minutes before - a testament to how fast the snow was falling.
Looking out, Regulus couldn't see too far in front of him for the snow was coming down so suddenly, and yet he couldn't really feel it hitting him though he was sure it must be. Everything around him, except for the whomping willow which stood out in quite a contrast, was sheathed in white.
Remus, who would have been appreciating the snow too on just about any other occasion, watched the wonder and awe on Regulus' face; his heart leapt at the gentle 'O' Regulus' lips made as he looked about him in surprise.
"It's marvellous," he said, quietly, though Remus heard him quite clearly.
"It's-" but whatever else it was, Regulus didn't get to find out. A ball of snow had hit Remus squarely in the face.
"Gotcha!" a familiar voice cheered, followed by Sirius' unmistakable cry of 'nice one, James'.
"I guess I should be going," Regulus said, watching as his brother and James shared a high five before bending over to collect more snow.
"Don't be daft," Remus disputed, once he was done shaking the snow off himself. "Here-" he threw what little snow he'd managed to collect, at Regulus. "You've got to be on my team - you can't leave me now! Come on. Your brother won't know what hit him."
"Well,  I suspect it'll be snow-" Regulus disputed dryly, but he allowed himself to be led away from the main door and into the midst of what appeared to be a very intense snowball fight.
Two hours later, they, along with the other students who'd been involved, were laughing as they made their way back towards the castle. Regulus' hair, soaked, clung to the sides of his face and his hands were pink with cold. His wet gloves sat defeated in one of Remus' pockets.
"So, your first snowfall - and snowball fight - at Hogwarts. Did you have fun?" Remus asked him kindly.
"I did," he agreed, drawing to a stop once the castle doors came into view. "Thank you," he said, leaning towards Remus. Their cold lips met, though not before they'd both shivered as cold noses met flushed cheeks.
As they pulled away, Regulus gaze fell upon something over Remus' shoulder.
"What's-" But he didn't get to ask. A ball of snow hit Remus squarely on the back of the head.
"And that," Sirius' approaching voice proclaimed as he threw an arm over Remus and Regulus' respective shoulders and began walking them forwards, "Is for defiling my brother where I can see."
"I'll be sure to take him into an empty classroom next time," Remus retorted under his breath.
Sirius', who apparently chose now to hear Remus mumbling to himself clearly, looked positively scandalised. It was mirrored by Regulus' look of horror.
Needless to say, Remus could expect to be reprimanded by both brothers before the day was out.
At least they'd had a memorable day.

Snow
@wolfstarmicrofic December 15th -319 words
Sirius loved the snow. It was one of those childish things that all of us have. Whenever he saw the smallest snowflake, he would start smiling wide-eyed, laughing like a maniac, giddy to just go out and enjoy the snow.
It didn’t matter if it was a blizzard or one of those rainy snows that you get in central London, those that don’t stick and make the road muddy and slippery. Sirius loved it.
He would wrap himself up in his warmest clothes and run outside to build a snow fort, make snow angels and start throwing snowballs at everyone, laughing like a child every single time.
Remus thought it was because it reminded him of their winters at Hogwarts, when he was finally free to play like a normal kid, far from his family’s rules, but he found it adorable nonetheless.
Although he liked the snow, Remus preferred to watch it from his warm spot in front of the fireplace, while drinking hot cocoa and reading a nice book.
Sadly his boyfriend didn’t really like Moony’s plans, so every single time it snowed, Sirius would start throwing snowballs at their window, until Remus finally opened it, to see a jumping Sirius calling him down to play.
Every time he would say no and go back inside, and every time he would find himself dragged down by Sirius, James, Peter and Lily, to be then forced into a snowball fight.
Every time he would lose (Sirius and James were masters at the snowball spell, and they always teamed up), and get back inside cold, wet and smiley.
Every single time Sirius would draw a bath for the both of them, asking Remus if he had fun, and every time Remus would kiss him and say that “Yes, I had a lot of fun.” Just to watch his boyfriend’s eyes sparkle with joy.
Every single time. He loved nothing more.
A.N: It's me, I'm Sirius.

Flake
@wolfstarmicrofic December 14th -227 words angst
A single flake posed on the tip of Remus’ nose. He was cold, but he didn’t really care. He wasn’t ready to go yet. It was Christmas, and he sat alone.
“Huh, it’s snowing, love.”
But he received no answer. After all, a gravestone could not speak.
“You would have loved to run around as Padfoot, coming home and leaving muddy paw prints all over the floor. And I would have gotten mad, but then you would have looked at me with your stupid dog face, and I would have let that go. Again. I never stood a chance with you, huh?”
A sob broke free from his throat at the memory. The snow was now getting stronger, but Remus didn’t care, he couldn’t go yet. He couldn’t walk away from his husband. He turned his ring on his finger, the matching one three meters underground, right under where he was sitting.
“I would give everything in the world to see those muddy pawprints on our floor, just one more time.”
He started crying, like every time. Time passed, the war ended, but the pain in his chest never dulled.
“I’ll sit here for a while more, love.”
He sat there, back on his lover’s grave, trying to feel his presence as if he was there with him, staring at the sky.
“I’ll let some time pass.”
A.N: I'm sorry for this one guys

Hot Chocolate
@wolfstarmicrofic December 13th -189 words
The recipe was extremely easy:
One spoonful of flour,
One spoonful of cocoa powder,
One spoonful of Sugar,
A pinch of cinnamon (If you infuse the stick it tastes better),
Fill with milk,
Stir until it boils,
Top with whipped cream.
This is the recipe of the Hot Chocolate that Hope Lupin made every year for his son. This is the recipe that always puts a smile on her son’s lips on his gloomiest days. This is the recipe that saw him grow and turn into a young man that Hope was proud of.
But that day the recipe changed, because now she had to make a double dose, because her son had brought home a stunning young man, who looked at Remus like he hung the Moon.
And as she brought two steaming hot cups of hot chocolate over to the two boys, for the first time in her life she didn’t see a change of expression on her son’s face, because he was holding such a love sick expression, while looking at Sirius Black, that not even her best made Hot Chocolate could have made it falter.
A.N: The recipe is my mum's recipe, but she doesn't use cinnamon because she doesn't like it. Try it, I swear it's much better that the store bought ones!

Giving
@wolfstarmicrofic December 12th -631 words
“Sirius, don’t you think this is a little… too much?”
Remus was looking at the gigantic pile of presents placed under their Christmas tree.
“What do you mean, Moony?”
“Love, there’s at least 32 presents under that tree, it’s only the 12th of December. We don’t even hang with 32 people.”
“Oh, I know. Those are for you actually. The other’s presents are in the garage. I don’t want James to snoop.”
Remus choked on his hot cocoa.
“For- For me?”
“Yeah, something wrong?”
“Sirius, it’s- it’s so many! I- I can’t accept all of this!”
“Remus, it is the time of giving after all.”
“Yeah, of giving! Not “spending all your inheritance on your chronically ill boyfriend”!”
“Remus… We’ve been living together for almost a year, known each other for two. I think you should have come to know me pretty well by now.”
Remus still couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It was too much for him, he did not deserve all of this, and he could not afford to give Sirius anything that got remotely close to the amount of money he spent on those presents.
“Sirius, I can’t accept all of these. I can’t give you something of the same value, and I am definitely not worth all the money that you spent.” “Remus.” Sirius interrupted his boyfriend.
“I know how much you are worth, I know how much you mean to me. Even if you cannot see it yourself. My family has earned this money in illicit ways, and it is now mine to do as I please. The amount I spent is not even a dent in what I have to my name, and if I want to spend this money doting on my amazing boyfriend, I can. I know you’re not used to being taken care of, but please, Remus, I just want to take care of you. I want to dote on you and see you happy and satisfied, full of things you don’t even need, but that you like. Let me spoil you, let me give you all the things that you deserve in life. I have the power to make you live comfortably for the rest of your life without even having a big impact on my bank account. I am begging you, Remus, let me do this for you, you deserve it.”
Remus didn’t really know how to respond. He had never considered that one day his life could have just been easy, that he would have had someone taking care of him just because he wanted to. He could feel tears collecting at the corner of his eyes.
“I just… I-”
“Remus Lupin. Dare to say that you don’t want to be a wight, and that you feel like you're taking advantage of me and I swear to God I will take you clothes shopping at Harrods.”
“Ok, ok, I’m sorry! Jeez, you really know how to shut me up, huh?”
“That’s my job as your boyfriend. I spoil you, kiss you, and shut you up when you are about to say stuping things.”
“Mhh, and what is my job then?”
Remus had an amused glint in his eyes, and he got closer to Sirius, who was standing with his arms crossed.
“Easy: you look pretty, say smart things, and make my family turn in their graves.”
Sirius said matter of factly, counting on his fingers.
“Oh, so I’m just a means to disturb your family’s eternal rest, then?”
“Nah, you’re also a nice bum.”
With a wink and a light spank on Remus’s arse, Sirius turned away and wore his coat.
“Oh, and by the way, the rest of the presents should arrive in the next two weeks, so we should make some space under the tree.”
“Sirius!”

Hot Toddy
@wolfstarmicrofic December 11th -319 words
“Sirius… What are you drinking?”
Remus asked, staring at the paper cup that Sirius was holding in his gloved hand.
“It’s a Hot Toddy!”
Sirius looked positively giddy while saying that. To be fair, it was his first time at the Muggle Christmas markets, he had never seen them, and he decided that he had to try every overpriced Christmas thing that they offered. Remus was used to them, he saw them every year with his ma, so the magic was subdued, but he loved seeing the sheer joy in Sirius’ eyes at something so simple like wooden houses filled with fairy lights.
“Love, do you know what a Hot Toddy is?”
“Absolutely not Moony, the mystery is half the fun!”
Remus shot him an unamused look, but then kissed his cheek nonetheless. He was a weak weak man.
“Ok, you try it, darling.”
“Don’t you want anything?”
“Nah, I’m ok.”
Remus was actually waiting for the second that Sirius tasted his drink. He was sure that the beverage was much too sweet for Sirius’ liking, while perfect for Remus, who was actually in the mood for a nice sweet drink.
“Marlin! This is so sweet that I could become a gingerbread man if I drink it all.”
“I know.”
With a swift move, Remus pulled the drink out of Sirius’ hand,
“I’ll take this, thank you. Why don’t you try the mulled wine? I think it’s more your liking.”
“Ohhh, I see what you did there, smarty pants.”
Sirius was not pointing his finger at his face, while Remus held his innocent facade.
“Care to enlighten me?”
“You didn’t stop from taking the drink, so you could steal it from my hands. You knew I wouldn’t have liked it!”
“I have no idea of what you’re talking about.”
Remus took a sip of the drink and closed his eyes, shrugging.
“You’re so lucky I love you, Remus Lupin.”
