Hey genuine question, a lot of your discrediting of plurals who don’t use the DID/OSDD label because of spiritual/cultural impact is that a lot of them are “white children”, but what about plurals who aren’t white? Asking this as a Black + physically disabled plural whos working towards functional multiplicity.
Also very curious as to what you deem “legitimate” research and how you decide what to trust. This isn’t to change your mind or start shit bc clearly you’re not gonna change your mind but I am genuinely curious. Have a day!
If its not a form of spirituality from your culture, it is appropriation. Cultural Appropriation was a big no no on Tumblr 10 years ago. I dont know what changed. From my understanding, the way possession works in spirituality is unrelated from that of DID.
As for trusting research, I tend to avoid research that involves self reported symptoms or self report based screenings. Learning what good research is is something that takes time and educational training that the general population doesn't have. You need to know how to critique specific methodologies, statistical analysis, etc as is related to the question at hand. For example, I do not trust research papers on Plurality (not DID, but this plurality subculture), and only use self reported questionnaires or interviews. There is no way to validate their claims. Those papers assume the endogenic community to be valid and real without proving it. Show me the PET scans of endogenics switching compared to the pre-existing data we have that shows the neurobiology of DID. Show me hard data that can't be manipulated by the participants. The papers that are based on self reports are not bad in of themselves, but they dont prove endogenics are a real phenomena and not a result of social contagion.
Knowing what research is and isn't good is a skill that comes with time and working in research. This is why I dislike laypersons who read research articles and believe that they're an expert when in reality they are unable to properly interpret the article.

abolish the dsm5🩷 disorder labels were made for convenience back when doctors wanted to "cure" us all, they still subtly try to do this, no one is doing any harm to you literally just by existing, you are actively trying to tell people they don't exist.
Look, I found the anti-vaxxer.

"science debunked non-traumagenic DID" yea no shit because without the trauma it's not a disorder, it's still plurality, maybe actually do some research (ironically) instead of being a pathetic troll on the internet.
Asks like this have me deeply worried for our future as a society. If you think any research exists that validates plurality outside of DID, then you need to work on your scientific literacy. You need to learn how to read, understand, and think critically about scientific literature. I have never seen a study that validates plurality outside of DID, the only studies I have seen are observational studies on people who claim to be plural, but I have yet to see a single study validate plurality or do any in depth neurological research into the matter.
Here are some resources to help you expand your scientific literacy. Everyone, including scientists and field experts, should review these resources every so often:
Below is a link to a free 167pg PDF:
https://nap.nationalacademies.org/catalog/23595/science-literacy-concepts-contexts-and-consequences
This is a free course from Coursera called "Understanding Medical Research: Your Facebook Friend is Wrong"
https://www.coursera.org/learn/medical-research
This is a more simplistic guide by an anthropology professor at the university of Kansas on how to read scientific research.

Hope these resources help!

hey I don’t know who you are but I understand if you’re going through a rough time.
One day I hope you’re able to leave this behind and focus on things that actually bring you joy, I don’t care if you’re anti-endo, but I do know that living a life of constant hate isn’t good for you.
I used to be like that, I used to hate one people I didn’t like cause I was angry at the world and needed someone to take it out on.
I’m a lot better now, and yes, there are things I don’t agree with and people I don’t agree with, but I no longer go out of my way to bother them, and I’m feeling much better. Trust me, interacting with things you actually enjoy instead of wasting your energy hating on things you don’t makes your life much better.
I hope you have a good day, and a good life, there are people whole care for you, don’t forget that 🫂
Hi friend,
I want you to know that I don't live a life of constant hate. I have observed the way DID has blown up since COVID, and while this has definitely died down, it's still here and still a problem. It's one I have observed because it's a complex phenomenon and could be considered as a new subtype of imitative DID.
The concept of endogenic systems is complex in that they appropriate a variety of marginalized groups to ultimately fulfill the same need as classical presentations of imitative DID. However, endogenic systems formed a sort of shield around being accused of appropriating a disability - they claim it as an identity, akin to queer identities - rather than a disorder. This allows them to continue imitating DID.
The problem, of course, is that endogenic plurality isn't real. And endogenic systems often fall back on religious/spiritual appropriation of people of color to "prove" that endogenic systems are real - again utilizing another marginalized group to justify imitating DID.
So I truly am not filled with hate, but I view this community from a sociological angle. They are not only focused on "plurality" as an identity but also on forming an identity around marginalization as a whole despite not being that marginalized. The fact that these people can not handle seeing word art that says "endogenic systems are ableist" or "endogenic systems are oppressive" demonstrated what little marginialization this subculture has experienced. You should see some of the messages in my ask: a lot of them calling me names or cussing me out, etc. They seem to be the angry ones filled with hate, not me.
I am glad things are better for you now, anon. I do interact with things that I enjoy. I am hope that you are surrounded with people that love you as well, and i hope that you have a good day🫂 (also I had no idea this emoji existed so thanks for pointing it out!)

YOURE A RESEARCH SCIENTIST ?? fun fact! Nondisordered spiritual plurality was documented before systemhood was medically documented at all! Why don't you study that you piece of shit
Because I do not study spirituality. Another cultures spiritual beliefs do not suddenly justify white children cosplaying DID and rebranding it as "endogenic systems." You can't use cultural appropriation to justify endogenics. Sorry.
I would be happy to review any neuroanatomical studies on spiritual plurality or other medical studies if you can provide them.

"mental health isn't the trauma Olympics" and "every disorder has its nondisordered counterpart" and "it's not fucking okay to purposefully try to trigger a delusional episode by telling people they aren't real, that is very obvious ableism" until endos Exist I guess. Fuck right off and get the hell out of our tags, hypocrite.
Also wtfdym just because their plurality didn't form from trauma they can't Possibly Ever be traumatized? Literally makes no sense.
I don't recall saying that people cosplaying DID and then justifying it by claiming to be "endogenic systems" can't have trauma?

"I am research scientist and was just working on developing a desktop app for some new experimental data"
and you're wasting your time being a research scientist by trolling randoms online? okay man. it's obvious you need some form of relaxant. go take a walk. go smoke a fat doobie. you're doing nothing with your time except wasting it away.
i promise you there's better things to do with your life than /this/.
I work like 60 hours a week, this acct doesnt waste my time at work. I have a life outside of the internet. Things I do outside the internet. But, since Tumblr won't take a stand against these people like they did back in the pro-ana days, and scientists or doctors specializing in DID or anything adjacent are too afraid to speak out after the online backlash directed at McLean Hospital. Someone has to stand up. I've tried educating people, providing actual sources, debunking false information - this community is not receptive to it. Any study they don't like is "gatekeeping" or "ableist"
Have you seen Apple Cider Viniger on Netflix? Milla isn't a real person but is meant to represent those who are genuinely sick and fall into the trap of misinformation. It wasn't the doctors and their years of education that made this 22 year old realize she fucked up her health by not opting for standard treatment, it was a reddit post.
So maybe, just maybe, it will be possible to get people to stop this nonsense through an account like this. People who are anti-science are simply not receptive to scientific information.

Deliberately baiting people into fighting you by posting in the pro-endo tags is ridiculous. If you want to claim that being endogenic doesn't exist, that's fine. You do so in the correct tags. You don't rope people in for the purpose of antagonizing them. What you're doing is needlessly starting shit. You're not educating anyone. I used to be staunchly anti-endo, until I was given substantial scientific evidence of the possibility of it existing. Even during my anti-endo days, I never went after, insulted, or attacked people who identified as endogenic. Why? It's not ok to treat people this way for any reason whatsoever. You are passing on your trauma to others when you take your shit out on random people like this. Those who truly need to be educated don't learn well from being mocked and demeaned. Do they? -Sincerely a traumagenic DID system
All I have to say is whatever scientific research convinced you of endos demonstrates your inability to process scientific literature. Maybe leave it to actual scientists.

Bro I'm anti Endo and your cross tagging fucking sucks. Stop cross tagging it's shitty no matter who you are
No it's fun lmao. God if this were the pro ana days all of the endogenic systems would have been banned for promoting mental illness. I miss those days.

I heard like 20 shots out my window last night but endogenic systems are soooooo oppressed and traumatized by an account calling out their ableism. Stay mad guys❤️
If you think my blog is oppressive and traumatizing, wait until you hear about what the actual clinical definition of trauma is❤️ I'm sure hearing it alone would be so traumatizing you'd split a fake headmate❤️

hey! Genuine question, why do you tag your posts "pro endo" if you're anti endo? It just makes it harder for fellow antis to find and follow you, as most of them most likely have the pro endo tags blocked. If it's just to be petty, then that's pretty irresponsible and childish? Not to mention, like I said, it makes it harder for fellow anti-endos to find and follow you, as they most likely either have the tags blocked, or will see the "pro-endo" tags and assume you're pro endo without looking through your blog.
It is to be petty. imo i think it's irresponsible to cosplay a disability and then claim that it's a "marginalized identity" when called out. It was petty when they made a petition to try and get a psychologists license revoked (like that would work). These people go to far. so I'll be petty. That's sort of the point here. i don't care about followers.

Can’t wait for your account to be banned for crosstagging <3
It must suck, being so unemployed and friendless that you take to harassing people on the internet, gotta be a really sad person. I’m sure one day thought you’ll either rot away bitterly or realize just how much of a clown you are 😘
I am research scientist and was just working on developing a desktop app for some new experimental data but go off i guess. i dont have many out of work friends but that because of how much i work so. i know I'm being a clown that's the point lmao

Get out of endo safe spaces <3 it’s always “endos invade our spaces!!!” until YOU go out of your way to invade theirs.
Here is a guide to help you stay safe online ❤️
With your complaints, I recommend telling an adult that you trust that you saw something on the internet that you didn't like.

Since you hate endos, rightfully so, I assume you don't believe in self diagnosis. I don't have the funds to go to anyone and I have people in my head. I was curious what it could be. Since it can be DID Since I'm not diagnosed. I show most of the symptoms, including the memory issues but can pass information between ourselves sometimes. Mostly basic information like what a phone is and random things like specific colors and what Australia looks like. But yeah, what else could it be? I genuinely want to look through my options so u can see what it is Since it can't be DID.
I know nothing outside of the US healthcare system, and additionally am not a doctor and even if i was, would not be able to answer this over the internet. I dont support self diagnosis of any capacity. My advice is to completely remove yourself from any DID or related system content or interactions of any kind for at minimum a few months, then re-evaluate your symptoms. From my understanding, Australia has a public healthcare system. Get placed on a wait list for an appointment with a psychologist for clinical testing. Do not interact with any DID or system related content prior to the appointment in order to avoid bias and a false positive diagnosis.
In my personal opinion, any interaction with the DID/Plural/System/Whatever community skews the validity of diagnostic assessments. This also goes for reading about DID (or what people misconstrue as "researching" DID), from academic or educational sources.
If I were you I would remove yourself from DID content of any kind indefinitely, book an appointment/get placed on a wait list for a full psych eval, and ensure the psychologist/psychiatrist is aware of your previous interactions within the DID/Plural communities online.
