"mogai inclusionists" when I tell them while it is a bit odd to identify with an identity dedicated to a person and it's OK to not understand, but we still shouldn't preach about all genders being valid since gender is made up and then exclude dreamgender/sexuals. is it a bit odd? yes. but we don't need to understand. it's not harming anyone, and I'm sure they have s reason as to why they identify as such. same with fictosexuals and romantics. I am romantically and sexually attracted to fictional characters only. to me, as an aroace person, that's normal but if someone wants to identify as fictosexual then it's not my business. I actually encourage it. label yourself as whatever describes you, not what people consider correct.

even tho I'm a transmasc (& transneutral) genderfluid dude who does have dysphoria but it's not very bad (it's mostly abt how people view me, but my chest is ehh not much and my bottom isn't at all bc I know im still valid) I still HATEEE height dysphoria. I hate my height with all my heart. for reference, I'm tall for my age (3teen) and country (America's average height for an adult female is around 5'4) because I'm 5'6 and still growing, but I've had so many people assure me I'm not growing past 5'9 and it makes me so pissed. Not sad, but irrationally passed. and when I tell my mom I wanna be tall she just tells me it'll be hard to get a boy and shit like that. I don't care! I've seen people wondering why some use aroace and lesbian as a label, and to that I only only say that anyone can identify with this label, but also that being a lesbian has been a crucial part of my identity my entire life, even before knowing I was aroace. I've been both my entire life. I just can't leave behind one label for the other, when both are what makes me, me. (Ik being me makes me me but my identity is important to me).

Okay! Sorry for saying you have no proof, I saw your replies to people after! Also, my point about anarchism wasn't that you have to support things that make you uncomfortable, but that being anti-proship is being anti-anti-harassment (because proship just means you're anti-harassment).

I do think it's true that a lot of minors are subjected to sexually explicit things in the community, which gives pedophiles an opening, but this doesn't mean the community or ships shouldn't exist. You can apply that logic to almost any fandom. Problematic things will always happen, whether these communities exist or not. It's not the communities fault, its the predators who actively prey on children.

Still, saying you're "allowing" kids around sexually explicit content is also false because the people who do this specifically tell minors not to interact and make their content for adults (unless a minor is making it.) You can make the argument that minors will view it anyway, but at this point if you say that, then no one will be making posts like that at all in fear of a child interacting with a post that isn't even made for them.

The issue here is that people claim that darkshipping is inherently wrong BECAUSE the community has predators or gives leverage to predators. It's not. The shipping itself is not wrong. I'd also like to say no one is really normalizing it, because it's fiction. I feel like normalizing is more of when you encourage it and try to make something problematic seem normal or okay in real life, not in ships. Even if it was, the average person can definitely tell it's not actually okay in real life. The people who cannot shouldn't be viewing it in the first place, and it's not our job to baby proof our content.

I can also add many minors do actually consume sexual content and that's when people usually start developing sexuality-wise. If you do interact with this content where adults reside, it's definitely unsafe, but it's not inherently bad for them unless its doing psychological damage. When we see victims that were in the proship community, we can't just assume it's the community or ships itself that caused it. It's the people. These predators know that people interact with this typically benign content, post it, get interactions, and sneak in. In no way is that the community being inherently harmful.

Anyway, hope you feel better! I was gonna say more, but out of fear of being potentially redundant, I'll leave it at that.

Well its not for a fact only 12 year old who agree its an unhealthy coping mechanism as many certified therapist and psychologist agree its generally harmful and unsafe.

While it usually depends on the person most therapist have an agreement it is often an unsafe situation. While yes there are a few therapist that say its perfectly fine, there are also theres also therapist who tell patients with insomnia to give themselves a sugar rush to crash. There will be crappy spots in all fields a few therapist saying its alright while a majority of the rest agree it isn't doesn't make it safe and non harmful.

Just because there are a few therapist who were wrongfully qualified agree its safe and not harmful doesn't make it not a majority of therapist have a common agreement it is generally harmful and unsafe.

And now we are in the midst of this giant purity culture backlash, this giant push for rigid conformity all over the internet. Anything that deviates from the norm even remotely is ridiculed.

And this cultural shift is perfectly encapsulated in this singular linguistic shift, this verb becoming a noun.
