shirataki noodles.
the posts you see about them tasting “delicious” are lying. it tastes like literal rubber. you can slurp it up like slime. the truth is, it’s not appetizing at all.
or you just don’t know how to hack them. when i first tried shirataki noodles i straight up threw them into a pan, straight from their package, and added a few condiments in and called it a day. it was repulsive. not tasteful at all.
the next time i tried it, i took my time with it. i rinsed out the noodles with some cold water and then some warm water. the noodles have this very fishy smell, so i washed them out thoroughly until i couldn’t smell it.
the hack for these noodles is to mask their taste. once the taste is good, it will even mask the texture of the noodles. they suddenly taste really good! i “masked” the taste of the noodles with a homemade white sauce/alfredo sauce. i’m not sure on the exact measurements but i did something like the following:
1. make a rue with butter and baking flour, mix until it’s almost doughy.
2. add milk slowly to the doughy rue, and whisk out any clumps of flour. keep adding milk until the rue becomes a paste of some sort. continue adding milk and whisking the mixture until it becomes a sauce suitable to your liking (thickness, etc.,)
3. add seasonings now. i like black pepper, salt, garlic powder, a little bit of oregano, and dried parsley.
4. tricky part. add cheese if you like. it makes the difference but if you’re restricting either skip this step or use a low cal alternative. i really like the babybel cheese triangles!
5. you’re done!
add this sauce to “mask” the disgusting taste of the noodles. ugh, it makes it so delicious. i bet you can do this with any other sauce, but the main thing is that you NEED a sauce. you need to heavily coat these noodles with sauce. otherwise they’re going to make you gag.
pro: they’re so filling too, and super low calorie!
con: just need to find YOUR recipe and tweak it to your liking. noodles initially taste smelly, don’t let that discourage you. remember to “mask” the taste. your senses are often deceiving so if you make the sauce taste good, the noodles automatically are appetizing. slurp up!

hey guys,
another day.
but — lost a whole pound from yesterday! i went from 187.2lbs to 186.2lbs. i didn’t feel any difference within me, usually when i lose weight i start to feel “lighter” in the stomach. but the scale told me otherwise.
i guess i could’ve done better, yesterday was my first day coming back from literally *weeks* of bingeing. i was still snacking throughout the day, but i had controlled how many larger meals i was having.
today will be better. once i see the numbers go down on the scale, suddenly — i don’t need food like i did before. it’s funny how with just one pound lighter, i didn’t even feel hungry for breakfast. makes me think that hunger is all within the head.
regardless, i think i’ll have a proper “calorie-intake” post with the supplements i’m taking today. yesterday i didn’t control my caloric intake so maybe that’s why i only lost one pound. i’ll be more strict today. i’ll let you guys know what i ate, how i’m feeling, etc.,

tw: laxative use.
kayam churna tablets are my friend right now. they’re these organic indian “detox” laxatives that help with constipation. you can find them at your local indian and pakistani bazaar/grocery store. you can get them on amazon too. they come in powder form as well. the powder is honestly repulsive, smells like shit. the tablets are easier to swallow, they don’t have a smell.
they’ve helped me a lot with losing weight, they usually flush out my stomach within seconds of eating the tablets. they use ancient ayurderic medicine to “cure” constipation, so they’re organic and the ingredients aren’t worrisome. i’ve been using them for over 1yr now, no problems thus far. use with caution, though.
p.s: don’t overuse these. if you excessively use them everyday your shit is literally going to solidify in your asshole if you forget to take them one day. from experience, i doubt you wanna quite literally use your fingers to scoop out your shit. use them occasionally. i use them after a binge session. they cleanse and detoxify my body. make me feel better and lighter.

i’m doing better. transitioning from a long period of bingeing/purging is always a struggle. it’s even worse when all the things i usually used to stuff my face with is right in front of me. i hate having junk food so easily accessible to me. i’m just one impulsive decision away from inhaling my fridge and pantry.

just some thoughts:
i’ve been bingeing for over a month and looking back at old photos of me made me so sad. i don’t want to revisit the past. i don’t want to hate what i see when i look at myself. i can control ONE fucking thing in my life and it’s how i look. today i decided i would stop bingeing and focus on my weight a little more.
i had lost 51 pounds in total, going from 230lbs to 179lbs. i had to fucking mess it up and gain 8lbs. now im at 187.2lbs.
i have to fix this.
