Take ONE Photograph.
Low Mo lately. So many ideas but so little time to execute. Learning to sift through ideas, organize thoughts, prioritize, and then execute.

Write ONE Paragraph.
I have been neglecting my writing exercises. I wanted to take this opportunity to note some things that have come up in my recent experience in photographing people again. I have shot with a handful of acquaintances and found that in this selfie age, people have a very warped and unrealistic image of themselves. Society is definitely experiencing some filter dysmorphia. Definitely guilty of this. BUT out of the five people I have had the pleasure to photograph, 4 of them where not happy with the way they looked in the images. Posting a selfie has become a hefty process of altering  and filtering a picture of ones self in to the perfect image that person wants portrayed to the world. I need to understand that their dislike of their natural image is not a reflection of my ability to take a picture but their warped image of themselves.
NEW CHALLENGE: I want to be more comfortable in my skin and accept my image as it is. I will challenge myself to not alter my image with any filters or image altering apps.

Thanks for dealing with my perpetual awkwardness. You were so down for the whole experience. It was a challenge in itself to work up the courage to ask if you wanted to do this. Thanks for the enthusiasm and the encouragement to help me. I know you are not a professional model but I'm not a professional photographer either 😅

Well....here's TWO!
Much thanks to my Beautiful coworker for being my muse. Getting outside and being creative again has brought me so much joy these past few weeks . I wonder what brought me to this point. Why did I stop creating and doing the things I love?

How ironic is it that the moment I choose to open myself up socially and creatively Corona Virus happens. Grateful to this pretty lady for showing up on such short notice so that I could express myself, specially during these uncertain times. 🙏🏾

Take ONE Photograph of my new friend.
He has such longing bright eyes. So I hide from his gaze...except to steal glances of his light.

Quote
The mass of men serve the state thus, not as men mainly, but as machines, with their bodies. They are the standing army, and the militia, jailors, constables, posse comitatus, ect. In most cases there is no free exercise whatever of the judgment or of the moral sense; but they themselves put on a level with wood and earth and stones; and wooden men can perhaps be manufactured that will serve the purpose as well. Such command no more respect than men of straw or a lump of dirt. They have the same sort of worth only as horses and dogs. Yet such as these even are commonly esteemed good citizens. Others-- as most legislators, politicians, lawyers, ministers, and office holders-- serve the state chiefly and with their heads; and, as they rarely make any moral distinctions, they are as likely to serve the Devil, without intending it, as God. A very few; as  heroes, patriots, martyrs, reformers in the great sense, and men, serve the state with their consciences also, and so necessarily resist it for the most part; and they are commonly treated as enemies by it.

Write ONE Paragraph.
He did not witness you rise, nor did he feel your heat, but at his shores your tiny lamp quivers. You are a castaway. Tormented and poorly articulated, you wave goodbye selflessly as his paddles chase more distant constellations with no specific desires. He is full. Your words and your charms were far too close and sadly too plain to keep . Not worth his passions and even his discontents for he is full.

Write ONE Paragraph.
Sometimes the finest words won't yield understanding if ever courageously uttered to a man whose needs are plenty. He is full. The most exquisite, nor the most flowery or stirring language will ever suffice. What need does this man have for your need of his fill. He is full. You prepared this void for him. A fresh clearing exposed and dressed to the most welcoming specification. A warm nest encapsulated by an endless sea of milk and charms. He will not enter for he is full.
( to be cont...)
