I'm sorry if this comes off as rude at all, it's not intended that way. Do you practice witchcraft and/or work with the fae?? I'm curious cause personally my family has a history of contact with both the fair folk and little people and I'll admit the first time I saw your page I wasn't sure if you were genuinely treating the fae as an aesthetic or if you genuinely believe in and respect them.
I’ve decided to prioritize this ask because I want to clear some things up. I can completely understand how you would see that- as aesthetics is literally in my name. To be quite honest I started this blog a couple of years ago (two? three? I cant keep track of time haha) and over the course of it I have done further research and tried to make this blog a place where people can both find some aesthetics that center around fantasy and the fair folk and learn about the fae while they’re here
I have considered changing my name or at least taking aesthetics out- because it’s become more of a place of knowledge rather than the vibes of this side of tumblr I suppose? (not to mention I’ve gotten older and matured a bunch since the start of this blog pfff) Anyway, to actually answer your question:
No. I do not practice witchcraft, nor do I actually work with the fair folk. Nor do I plan on working with them. I respect them and the beliefs and the knowledge surrounding them, and I love learning more and sharing what I have learned! I was highly into researching this subject around the time of the blog- recently it’s more or less just been whenever I can get to it (cuz let’s be real, the pandemic has been pretty draining).
I continue to want to improve what I’m learning, and it’s why I try to leave it open ended for anyone to give their own input whenever I post things here!!^^
Thanks for clarifying btw!! I have trouble reading tone n i’m glad ur not like- mad or anything, thanks for sending in this ask for clarification, i hope this 2 am ramble made sense!!!

Thank you so much for adding onto this! Much appreciated!!! ❤️❤️❤️
So I'm writing a story about a fae boy and a human and I want to know more about the fae world. So is the faerie court divided into the Seelie and Unseelie only? Can fae communities exist outside of them? Do faeries even have special powers? Also, are books such as Acotar good representations?
Hey! Seelie and Unseelie are generally terms used by humans to divide the fae between good intended and ill intended. I have answered a few asks on this already so I’ll provide the link to one in particular:
Here’s the link
The fae do not have special powers in the sense you may be thinking, they aren’t like superheroes really. They deal with nature and the world around them, and have abilities beyond our understanding. They can curse, compel, glamour, travel through dreams, etc. It’s a little hard to pinpoint what they can do specifically especially when different fae have their own preferences and specialties.
I’ll go ahead and be honest, I don’t know much about the acotar series, but if anyone else has read it they can reply in the comments! :]

Hello there, love your blog! Recently, a faerie I’ve been in contact with managed to get a hold of part of my True Name (even though I never actually gave it to him). Would he still have power over me if he somehow figured out the rest of my name without me telling him? If so, is there anything you recommend I do? Not entirely sure which court he’s from but he gives off Unseelie vibes 😅😬
Hello! Thank you very much!
Once again I’m really sorry for the delay in answering, and I’m curious how this is going now. But I’ll still answer anyways
First, I surely hope you’re being careful and I trust you know what you’re doing! But also please be careful!! Here’s my advice:
One, try to cut off communication with him in a respectful way if you think he has ANY ill intent towards you, meaning don’t go out of your way to talk to him, keep conversations short, and whatnot.
Two, names all have power. Any sort of name whether it’s your first, your last, or a nickname, if the fae have it they’ll know how to use it. However, what gives it less power, is the fact that you didn’t personally give him your name. So he doesn’t *own* it. He may just be able to compel you in certain ways, but I can’t guarantee anything.
If you’re getting Unseelie vibes I’m thinking he’s definitely more mischievous and even partially malicious, but I don’t know. If you think so, seriously try to stop all contact because this is dangerous.

Hello! New follower here. ☺️ Not sure if you’re still open to answer questions but I was wondering what you knew about the overall persona of the Autumn Court and whether or not it would be dangerous to interact with the Fair Folk of the Autumn Court. Thank you for reading this 💖 hope you are well~
Hello and welcome ^^! Thank you for your patience. Let me quote something I wrote when answering an anon from awhile ago on the courts!
“This [Autumn] court is mysterious, strange, yet beautiful. They don’t understand why death is hated or feared, and view it as the natural course of life. They are not hot headed, but hold grudges. When disrespected, their cruel side shows. Most likely to curse and torture out of amusement. However, while they have this cruel side, they also can give the best gifts out of all the courts. When respected, they will show it back if not more. Those who gain gifts of Autumn are most fortunate.”
Yes they can definitely be dangerous, but they can also be extremely kind, depending on who you’re interacting with and for what reason!
Sorry for the wait, thank you for sending this in!
