One of my mutuals (not on this app, but I’m not naming any names) is trying to defend an ai animation that she posted that she found even though she’s an artists herself

And let me tell you that her art is really good, but she’s freaking out that people are just telling her that it posting ai isn’t good. They’re not even harassing her but she’s claiming that they are

I feel like my empathy/compassion level is fluctuating between caring too much about others and not caring about anyone like.. at all

Usually I’m capable of putting myself in others shoes and empathise with people, but there’s times where I’m just not able to care about someone no matter how much I try

It’s not like I can’t care about others wellbeing or hate my friends during these periods (because they obviously mean everything to me), but I just can’t get myself to emphasise with anyone when my empathy and compassion is low. I’m usually more selfish during these periods. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m either autistic or just burnt out, I honestly can’t tell

It doesn’t last long, usually less than two weeks, maybe even a few days but not long periods of time. But after it ends guilt hits me like a truck
