Summary:

Franziska’s apartment has become the central hub for the three of them by default - Kurain Village is too far away (and Franziska refuses to spend time dallying around Maya's other haunt of Phoenix Wright’s office, or worse, his home), and Kay has been a terminal couch surfer for longer than both Franziska or Maya have known her. Plus, neither option allows easy access for Franziska’s horse daemon. He is not a large horse by any means - as far as horses go, arabians are a compact breed, and he is perfectly capable of arcing his neck out of unsavory spaces. But even a small horse is still a horse, and with he is incapable of curling into a ball when space gets tight.

Not that he would ever do that, of course. It’s a matter of principle.

Summary:

She once asked why Miles-Mercy never teamed up to play together. Miles told her that this was a crutch he was willing to lend her, as the younger of the two, because he knew it would make Franziska angry and because it was easier to say than the truth.

“Talking with your daemon is never cheating, Miles Edgeworth,” Franziska tutted, finger wagging. “If you want to handicap yourself in such a ridiculous manner, then be my guest.”

Miles had won that round, and Franziska-Epona had thrown a tantrum so fierce the nanny had to take her away. Miles worried about what Manfred-Iovis would say, but his lioness had only swiped her tongue across the side of Mercy's head, and von Karma had said, “Good boy.”

For weeks after, thinking about it made Miles-Mercy's heart flutter.

Five times someone touched Miles's daemon, and one time he touched somebody else. On the different forms love can take, as told through the lens of an asexual Miles Edgeworth.

Needling

Summary:

The first time Apollo walks in on Trucy doing her injections, he freezes in his tracks. The sight of the teen sitting on the toilet lid, craning her neck as she mumbles out the instructions written in size five font on the paper that came with the prescription, is more familiar than he’d like to admit. But the addition of Mr. Wright, kneeling on the floor, pouring over the supplies with trembling fingers? That's less so. 

He’s about to duck out of the bathroom with a mumbled apology, but there’s something about the tension in Mr. Wright’s shoulders, and Trucy’s expression when she catches his eye, and, and, and.

Something inside him clenches, and he hears someone saying, in a voice that couldn’t possibly be his own, “I could help. I mean, if you want.”

kicking things off with some art I did for @owlart18's Following The Sun MAP! Stonefur x Lionheart, which is a pairing that quite literally came to me in a dream one night. Given that they're both wise, respected senior warriors who die at the claws of Tigerstar's cronies, I'm surprised this isn't a more common ship.
