My copy of Carmilla is like this, too. Just pink triangles with the title and author. If you didn't know what it was, it wouldn't be the first choice to pick up.

Why is it so hard to find a hardcover version of Varney the Vampire with a cover that doesn't suck absolute ass. The only ones that match what im looking for are from like 1970 and i can only find volumes 1 and 3. Never 2. You would think a black and red printing of a FUCKING VAMPIRE STORY would be more common but nah instead we get shit like this:

I know the mint edition is like a cheap and easily accessible version of it and that's legitimately wonderful, i love making classic literature more affordable. but WHY does it have to look like that.
