something i feel like queer ppl have been steadily forgetting over the last ten years or so is that “genderqueer” isn’t a specific nonbinary term, or even a synonym for nonbinary - it’s an umbrella term that encompasses nonbinariness and more. 

any flavour of trans (yes including “binary trans”)? you can call yourself genderqueer. fem, butch, androgynous, drag artist, crossdresser, or in any other way gnc? you can also use genderqueer. detrans but not in a radfem death cult kind of way? you too can be genderqueer. “i guess i’m basically cis but my other queer identity impacts my gender in a way that’s hard to put into words-” genderqueer!

it’s entirely acceptable and normal to be genderqueer but not nonbinary or genderqueer but not trans. it means literally nothing but “i’ve got a gender that’s queer” and it fucking rules we should use it so much more

Help Me Move/Pay Off Hospital Debt! (URGENT)

Hello! My name is Haven and I’m a disabled college student in Indiana currently needing to move into my own place. The owners of the house I live in now are suddenly moving in mid-July this year (2021) and I have nowhere else to go that is healthy and safe for me. My credit is holding me back as I have hospital debt that I never knew about. I was 18 at the time and my mom’s insurance only covered 95% of my bills. Currently, I owe a little under $2,600. The money I have to my name is LESS than my debt (and only comes from student loans). I have POTS, a condition that causes fainting or near-fainting after standing or being active for more than 40 minutes (for my particular case) which makes me unable to work. Anything you can donate to my ko-fi to help me could absolutely change my life, and any extra money beyond the goal will be used for moving and monthly payments after moving until I can get approved for disability. Thank you!

The amab nonbinary experience is as varied as the afab one. Amab nonbinary people can be any gender, any orientation, any race. They might be transfem, or they might not. They can use he, she, they, or any other pronouns. They can be anything. Make them feel at home in nonbinary spaces because nonbinary spaces are their homes! They are our community, our family. Respect and accept them like you would anyone else.
