I need someone to do a video essay-length deep dive into how 75% of the BG3 fandom fell so hard for Astarion's manipulative seductor act that they believe that's his actual personality. This man has to practice his lines and still fumbles them constantly. He flat-out says it's all a front because he believes his sex appeal is the only reason anyone would keep him around, which is tragic. When he drops the act, he becomes this kind of silly man rediscovering what it means to be himself, and what it means to both love and be loved. He says "I'm all pointy ears, love." while turning his head to show off those pointy ears. Let him be silly, let him be awkward! It's so much more authentic then him being a walking innuendo.

He has a mid charisma stat with a bonus for deception and rolled a nat 20 on all y'all.

Do people know about Vocational Rehab? If you're USAmerican they have this in every state.

It's a program that helps disabled folks access education, training, and employment. For FREE.

You only have to be disabled to qualify (autism, ADHD, mental illness, physical illness, etc) and they cover very broad categories of disability. You do NOT have to be officially diagnosed yet when you walk in - they will even help pay for your diagnosis if you are struggling w disability.

I applied with my suspected autism and fibromyalgia, and they paid for 100% of my formal autism assessment.

Once your disability is established they will give you career counseling to learn about your interests and skills, and depending on the plan you create with your caseworker they will then help with school or finding employment. They paid for 100% of my college tuition and books, and even provided a laptop for me to use.

You do not have to pay anything for this program. If you make above a certain income, you will have to contribute to educational costs but will still receive assistance.

They will also help with the cost of things like mental health counseling while you work towards your goals, clothing for interviews, etc.

They cannot discriminate based on your race, gender, or sexual orientation.

They won't make you do excessive meetings.

They will allow you to do meetings with your caseworker remotely.

They will not drug test you.

They want you to succeed.

I'm sure that individual experiences vary but my caseworker was exceptionally easy to work with and very kind.

Im gonna be sappy in main over a vidoe game but like... i really, really want yall to understand how Important Oblivion is to me.

It was the first Elder Scroll's game that i was there for day one (we owned Morrowind but i was literally 2-3 when it came out, even though i grew up playing it).

I remember thinking the graphics back then were so amazing and cool. There wasn't a render fog. you didnt have to go to a specific person in a specific town to teleport. there were horses you could ride (very badly, mind you. i was only 6 at the time).

I have so many fond memories of it. and now they dropped the Remastered version.

It's buggy as hell. its cheesy. its got updates to graphics and mechanics.

Its like im playing my favorite game for the first time all over again and it makes me so, so happy.

genuine question for fanfic authors; how do yall motivate yourselves?

because i have a handful of fics that i haven't touched in months due to lack of motivation. and part of it is just overall but then i also remember getting a deluge of spam comments from those crappy AI content farms 'asking' to use my stories and the thought of uploading another chapter to open the doors to that gives such anxiety

cause i LOVE writing.
