It's 6:30 and I'm back from work. I quickly freshen up and prepare dinner for us, ur favorite daal, chawal with kheema. You are not yet home and i decide to get dolled up for you. I wear my navy blue gown which you like the most, while I braid my hair with beads sideways as you love to play with them, I smile foolishly picturing all possible reactions I'd get. I'm dressed up, all the eyes on the tickling clock. It's 8:30 p.m. the door bell rings, I open it, it's you! you are awestruck, smiling with your eyebrows up. I say salam! And you carry me in ur arms responding walaikum assalam! All excited. We chat for sometime in our living room and then you get freshen up, while I set the table for dinner.

As I serve food, you ask when did SIDRA sleep? "an hour ago". Then you look at me for straight 10 seconds, I ask you with shyness to take your eyes off and you respond, it's been 3 years Ray and you still can't hold an eye contact with me.

Yes, we do exist! In a parallel universe.
