So glad you enjoyed! If you're looking for more dark academia, unhinged pretentious philosophical rambling tomarrymort fic, I can't think of any in particular just now but maybe @aethon-recs has some ideas?

I read a few Harrymort fics that featured a lot of magical theory and science or "genius characters" like Death of Today, Mind Magic, and Methods of Rationality (though I don't recommend MoR bc it is a truly insufferable read lol) and I wanted to do my version of an insufferable, irredeemable genius study on Tom with a corruption arc for Harry.

My style for this story is heavily influenced by Russian literature, the Secret History, lots and lots and lots of pre-19th century philosophy, poetry and a lot of psycho-sexual thrillers like Hellraiser, The Skin I Live In (highly recommend any film by Pedro Almodovar), and Bound. And trying to make Tom sounds as smug and ~~intelligent~~ as possible. He's Not Like Other Prodigies 🫦💅

So this idea has been brewing in the back of my head for a few years and I finally got motivated enough to pull my shit together and actually start writing it. But because I've been thinking about this idea for years, it's developed into an absolute behemoth of a story and the planning is getting out of control. I might start sharing some of the planning I've been doing on here, just because it's interesting but might not all make it into the main story, so watch out for that.

54 days to go before GO season 2 comes out, people! So, for my entry in @gomenseveryday, I’m sharing my already-existing-but-not-yet-complete fanfic, “The Ninth Wave (Of The Apocalypse).” 

A lovely little excerpt under the break!

“Crowley raised his eyebrows. Aziraphale never ceased to surprise him. He always forgot that the angel wasn’t quite so stuffy and holy as he was meant to be. And it was times like this, times when Aziraphale said or did something that made Crowley’s head spin, that he wanted to gather up all the beautiful things on the earth and give them to Aziraphale. If he could, he would weave all seven bloody hills of Rome, the Colosseum and the Forum, the temples and the Subura, and all the people bustling in the streets, artists and writers and musicians and entertainers, and the golden light falling over all of it, into a picnic blanket that he would spread at Aziraphale’s feet, and he would sit there on it with him, and just watch him marvel at it all. There was nothing more beautiful than watching Aziraphale be enchanted by some little thing he’d discovered.

‘So let’s stay, angel,’ Crowley had said, and clinked his cup of wine against Aziraphale’s. Behind their silhouettes, the golden flank of the Colosseum was dipping into purple shadow, and above them the sky glimmered as clear as a crystal, in the colorless time between afternoon and evening. The whole world was balanced between shadow and light, and in that balance Crowley reached minutely towards Aziraphale and asked him that beginning of a question that he’d been asking him quietly since he’d seen him on the wall.”

hey! i’ve been gone for a while!! here’s a Crowley that i did for some practice :] i rather like it actually

i have a LOT of exams coming up (literally starts tuesday) so i’m not that active at the moment, but i promise i will get that Crowley-as-nebulas part 7 done at some point <3

also i’m WELL excited for good omens 2, fully prepared for a brain infestation

Crowley pressed backwards against the angel, back into his softness and warmth and love. This would never get old. This feeling of joy would be as ageless as they were, and he’d never been more grateful for his immortality, because it meant that he could spend every morning with Aziraphale like this. He would more than make up for six thousand years of aching distance. Like the snake he was, he would coil so tightly around the angel that they would stay here, in the sunlight, wrapped around each other, forever.

The angel hummed into his ear, and Crowley understood the appeal of a heavenly chorus.  A shiver of delight trickled down his spine. This was why sirens were so effective. If Aziraphale kept humming into his ear like that, Crowley would certainly jump into the sea for him. Even if it was a freezing, mercilessly wild and endless sea, where the cold black water stretched on for eternity…
