my fav bit about rewatching critical role is like before the big things happen and then they don't react how they do in the future like in the c2 live show when they did the uko'toa thing for the first time, and trent's first mention so no one but liam reacted, or when matt brought up gelidon the nightmare in ivory and they didn't react, or the first casual mention of ludinus + hearing 'makes my way' before they started singing it like there's so many examples ...

there's like confusion and then its like oh they don't know yet

after endgame, what... what was the point of this... what is the purpose of him spending LITERALLY THREE ENTIRE MOVIES trying to get bucky back ? why would he have been fighting so hard to get bucky back to abandon him ? how many more ways can you prove the russos don’t understand steve? he should be swearing and breaking laws and fighting against true injustice. and spendng his life with bucky.

it will forever astound me that later seasons spn took Sam Winchester, boy with the demon blood, true vessel of Lucifer, wayward son, killer of Lilith, boy king of hell, former drinker of demon blood, killer of monsters, (former?) psychic, chosen one of the demon Azazel, long-term resident of Lucifers cage, survivor of soulless ness, and survivor of John Winchester…. and made him the boring one.

supernatural as media is so funny. like there's 15 seasons and probably like 300 hours of television and yet... for the majority it can only be appreciated when completely removed from itself.

supernatural discourse is some of the most interesting i have ever seen. supernatural episodes ?? meh.

like... what other show is only great when removed to subtext and the bare essential storylines ? like the later seasons use of lucifer is generally awful, but in-depth analysis of untold sam + lucifer interactions and character studies... divine.

on my life, the level of heart-deep comfort and nostalgia I feel like watching the obi-wan behind the scenes. i am close to crying every second. silhouette turns around and it’s obi-fucking-wan. hayden walks on and my brain stops. old videos of filming the prequels and of carrie <3 the incredulity of every moment. i am forever changed.

i actually struggle to watch any of supernatural s15 knowing the ending because everything is so... pointless. the big bad is so big and the stakes are so much higher, and yet... nothing happens. they spent 15 seasons talking about breaking the narrative, and set up their last season for them to finally break the narrative - and they DIDN'T. everything they try makes it worse, and it constantly reinforces this big picture and the importance of this incredible story and yet... it ends in nothing.

i hate spy’s goodbye because Bobbi is all “I know I love these people. I will never forget them. I hate to leave but I am so glad I’ve known them.” whereas Hunter is “I didn’t realise I loved these people. I just found people I care about. Why do I have to leave a place I finally belong?” and it hurts. a lot.

(when hunter first realises and goes ‘oh, it’s Jemma’ in this soft voice like he never expected these people to care about him and for him to care so much in return)

Obi-wan spending time with Leia and not being able to stop seeing Padme, with her leadership and fearlessness. desperately trying to not think about how much like Anakin she is with her stubbornness, confidence and mocking, despite it being over 10 years since he saw either of them…

david tennant started playing the doctor in 2006 and man is never gonna stop. any chance to return and he comes running and he is a legend for it.

i know literally every episode is the epitome of found family and growing relationships, but I’ve got to say it. the Van Gogh job is the Parker/Hardison job. the long way down job is the Parker/Eliot job. the gone fishin’ is the Hardison/Eliot job. the ✨rundown job✨ is the OT3 job. good for them.

the one thing I’ve learned from listening to the leverage dvd audio commentaries is that probably 50% of the guest cast is just friends with christian kane. oh, where’d you find that actor? oh, they’re friends with christian. like? this dude knows everyone.
