John release Bob
Tumblr media
Unleash Sentry
Tumblr media
Called by the Void
1. Accidental Catalyst, Emotional Trigger
John accidentally opening the container that freed Bob puts him directly at the center of the Sentry/Void dynamic. And the way he snapped at Bob—harsh, emotional, raw—wasn’t just a plot beat. It mirrored the kind of intense psychological friction that often stirs the Sentry/Void within Bob. That kind of volatility woke something up. It wasn’t just external—it was psychic.
2. He Made Contact with the Void
Whether it was mental, emotional, or metaphysical, contact with the Void tends to consume. The fact that John emerged (even injured or shaken) hints that he has some kind of resistance—or worse, a tether. That could go either way: he could stabilize Bob… or get pulled deeper.
3. Thematic Resonance
John is someone who buries his trauma, who dissociates under pressure, who plays the role of the blunt weapon until he shatters. That mirrors Bob’s duality in a haunting way: Sentry vs. Void, golden light vs. total collapse. Their arcs reflect each other. So if anyone can reach Bob and remind him of who he is—and still be standing afterward—it’s John.
4. Potential Future Role
He doesn’t have to be a traditional mentor or handler. But he could become the only person who can get through to Bob when the lines blur. Like:
Bob loses control. The team panics. John walks into the chaos, and Sentry listens.
Or even scarier: when Void rises again, it’s John who sees it coming first.
John could absolutely be the one who ends up able to wake—or stabilize—Sentry in the future.

Text snippets of a Voidwalker fic that's in the works:

Blue's Walker.
Seriously, I think the best way to come up with some plots is to have the characters just text each other; see how they're like when they feel somewhat safer with a phone between them (before their emotionally constipated selves finally have the guts to do something face-to-face).

Okay, but... Now I need more of these.
Vampire Beginnings 🦇Daniel and Louis
I know Daniel probably knows a lot about being a vampire already, but I love the idea of him asking Louis questions over the mind phone. Like Louis will just be reading and all of a sudden:
Daniel: Louis?? Louis du Lac? Louis: You don't have to same my name Daniel I know your voice. Daniel: Great.. so, I have a question hypothetically if a vampire were to accidently drink or eat something what would happen exactly... Louis:....Did you eat something Daniel? Daniel: It was a force of habit I had a whole cup of coffee before I remembered that I don't fucking need it. Louis: You'll probably be nauseous for a while at worst you'll throw it up.
Daniel: Great, great, wonderful. You're a life saver Louis, later.

Dean as A Writer: A Beloved Concept
Though it was in some ways agreed upon that Dean was to be our favorite grunt of sorts, I clung onto the tidbits of his person that permeated a hidden intelligence. For instance, he had a wonderful taste in books, spanning from the classics, horror to pulp existentialism like Kurt Vonnegut. Even more so would he surprise those around him (his brother included) of being well read in the occult; be it in times of crisis or just casually.
Sure, it has been hinted at that intellectually, perhaps he is not as "advanced" as his brother. He's not as specifically trained in certain subjects, nor was he as academically nurtured. But that does not suggest lack of knowledge, or ability.
Hence, one of my favorite, and most obscure tropes, is that Dean is a fantastic writer.
Not "good", or "great". I mean BRILLIANT; so unlike his external visage that his inner voice might even have a different tone.
It's still our Dean's voice... but different. His natural gruffness is a calm timber, his usual audible rage a tempered but eery steadiness that's reminiscent of the eye of a storm - quiet but ominous. And his words. Oh, his words. They are what he's afraid to say aloud, for they are so unlike what everyone is used to hearing from him.
For some reason, I imagine his internal dialogue, and I can see myself being floored by how it could sound like someone as flourishing and articulate as Anne Rice.
IMAGINE.
Ugh. The beauty.
Please, for the love of all things unholy and hidden, give me more Writer!Dean tropes. I beg of you.

A Dabbler’s Week
Of course this entire project has a specific thing I want to examine.
What is the ideal week for a dabbler to see if witchcraft (or spellwork, or paganism) is right for them, in your opinion?

An Excerpt from something I might publish:
NOTE: The following very much pertains - or will - to the Supernatural Fandom, since I am indeed a fan; however begrudging.
Supernatural was on...
Loud and growling with its usual 'Monster of The Week', and beautifully saturated in the darkness of its second season, inspired by its first. All I could think of in that moment was, how dare I feel this sense of nostalgia, at this show that I once considered a great love in the beginning, then one of my greatest sorrows when it ended in the forest fire that was its series finale. All of which came rushing to the forefront of my head when I double-taked at the familiar smolder of Dean Winchester on screen.
One of our quietest patients, Jim, was sitting at what was usually seen to be his favorite table, flanked by two cushioned but heavy chairs. For a moment, my gaze was just stuck on the scene playing out in the episode - Dean trapping a demon, and reciting the quintessential of an exorcism. Then, just as quietly as he floated about between his room and the dining area for meal time, he gestured to the seat beside him. After ruminating on it for a few seconds, I obliged, and sat down.
And there we watched, in a companionable silence that I realized then and there that I have never had in my life. Perhaps it was always due to the company I kept, of whom I am always trying to keep smiling, laughing, or even impressing with what I have to offer. Be it with my knowledge of fuck-all, or something beyond it. Here, in this moment with a somewhat familiar stranger, I do not feel the need to make him smile, laugh or be impressed. In fact, I don't need to do anything with him. I just want to watch 'Supernatural' with him. He is lonely, as I am currently, and he offered an out to that. And as mentioned, I took it.
Worst of all, and as irony would have it, I sort of joked with myself that if the show were to ever appear on one of the two TVs that we found ourselves relying on, I wouldn't force anyone to endure it. I, I suggested, might even change the channel myself. And yet here I am, indulging in what yhe ward and its plethora of doctors heavily encourage during recovery: presently enjoying in this adult life a childhood pastime. I forget time and time again that I was indeed a child when I stumbled upon the show. Just as I forgot the joy it brought, week after week; season after season. Perhaps one day, I will admit such a confession aloud, as well as admitting what it truly was - and is - to me: a pillar of simpler, and better, times. Not a distraction from horrid external things to make life liveable, but indeed something from it when it was liveable. And innocently so.
