I finished that mystique drawing early so I had a couple hours left over to have a go at a miles mcmillan Louis, which despite my initial hesitation is a facecast that’s really been growing on me. he wound up looking a little creepier than I intended, and I guess that’s probably appropriate.

Hey, everyone! Sorry for being completely dead the last week or two. My laptop is completely dead, so I’ve been using the old dinaorsour my mom has to do homework and whatnot. It isn’t the best for doing more than that, though. I hope you guys understand! Thank you tons! I’ll try to be more active. Also, thank you so much for all of the notes on my mood boards! It means so much to me. ❤️

“Why would you think such a thing?”

Louis twisted his head to look away from Lestat and move from his hand, sighing quietly. “I feel out of place, out of my own time, if you will. I like my old clothes, my old everything. You know this. I don’t feel handsome in these things, but if you insist,” he muttered, chewing gently on his bottom lip. He made sure his fangs didn’t nick his skin.  “I will grow used to them, Lestat, I am not trying to insult you. It is just very new to me. I was almost getting accustomed to the clothes from the nineties, give me time to enjoy them as I have the years before,” the dark haired vampire promised, giving Lestat’s shoulders a warm squeeze. “What was your plan for tonight, anyway? Going out could mean many things. Don’t get my hopes up and end up taking me somewhere boring. That would be dreadful,” he said with a light laugh.  Pulling away from his lover, Louis rolled his fingers and pressed his fist against his hips to crack the knuckles. It was one of his old habits he had when he was a habit. He enjoyed feeling somewhat human every once in awhile. He didn’t like being a complete creature at all times. “If you clean the bedroom, I will clean the coffin,” he said as he nudged Lestat. “Take me out. Let me feel nice for the night. Make me feel handsome in these strange clothes.” @vcmylife

Lestat woke up early that night, though he always did due to his age and power, and after all maybe just because he was that way. Making sure he would not wake up the male next to him, he went to the living room and grabbed a book hanging there, not even checking the title, letting his supernatural eyes scan the words at an inhuman speed, soon flipping pages as he got into the story. The book was not his, though, it was Louis’, but he was still sleeping, so Lestat had to entertain himself before his partner’s awakening.

Bored with the book after a few minutes, he went to the bedroom where his and his lover’s clothes were. The sides weren’t separated, but you could easily tell which clothes belonged to who. For Louis, there were mostly black pants, black shirts, blacks shoes… Black everything to resume, as well as some old laced white shirts, while Lestat’s side was more extravagant, going from red shirts as well as pink and blue and purple and white and grey and… More colourful to say the least.

But then Lestat thought of something and decided to surprise his sleeping partner. Quickly changing and placing his hair, he went back to the living room and the book he was reading earlier, waiting for Louis to wake up.

Soon enough, he heard him awakening and come to the living room where Lestat was eagerly waiting, foot bouncing and hands nervously turning the pages of his book. Louis didn’t notice right away, but then furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

“Is that my jacket?”

A patron suggested I draw Louis/Lestat and mentioned Anne Rice’s ideas for their wedding and it blew my mind. I’m still not the biggest fan of Rice but man I still love these sad vampires~

Why are characters like Lestat de Lioncourt and Dorian Gray held up as cautionary tales about the personal cost of immortality, anyway? In both stories, it’s an explicit plot point that they were already insufferable wankers before they became immortal.
