I have gotten a few questions about this jewelry organizer. It is seriously the easiest way I have found to organize your earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. I mainly bought it for the earring part but honestly the bottom hooks are so nice to keep necklaces or bracelets too! I put the short necklaces that have matching earrings so it’s easy to find and get to in the mornings. It was easy assembly and hangs nicely on the wall. Just over here trying to be the best version of me... After becoming a mom to my two beautiful babies, I think I got caught up in the role of a mom and forgetting who I was before then. Nothing is more joyous in the world than being a mom and all the crazy fun it comes with but I’m still me. I’m still a person of individuality. I’m really trying to be the best version of me for my kids, my husband, but mostly, for me. I’ve been taking care of myself mentally and physically. And I’ve really been focusing on my health. Marie Kondo-ing it up in my closest and Mylah’s room today! It was an impromptu cleaning but when I don’t have much to do and the house is quiet, I clean. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plus I went to the mall this morning for some new clothes so I had to make room. @jcpenney is my favorite place to shop. I can find work attire, workout clothes, and casual wear for the perfect prices. My #livingsimply tip: every time you buy a new item, look for one item you don’t wear anymore or doesn’t fit. Or as Marie Kondo says, “if it doesn’t bring you joy.” It has really helped me keep my wardrobe under control and I know exactly what I own. This orange sign is the epitome of simplicity! 🧡Recently I discovered this goodness and I can’t tell you enough how much I love it. It took me a little time initially, but now I can order my entire grocery list in about 5 minutes. I went through and saved my weekly essentials as my favorites so this helps a lot. I don’t have to search for these items every time. I was worried about fresh fruits, veggies, and meats not being as fresh as I would generally pick but nope! The picks are even fresher! Plus I can find all my essential #glutenfree items that I need for my diet. Here’s a few things I learned: 1. If you order something and they are out, they’ll substitute it with a name brand or larger quantity at no charge. 2. They’ll let you know of these substitutions when you arrive for pickup and if you don’t like them, they’ll take them back and refund you. 3. The associates who bring out your order are the friendliest people! 4. You don’t have to get out of your car AT ALL. They open, load, and close your doors and off you go. 5. They won’t accept tips. 6. For your first order, they give you a sample bag of goodies! 7. It’s a total game changer! This is saving me time without sacrificing nutrition. 8. You can order non-food items. I’ve order paper towels, toothbrushes, and vitamins! So if you decide to try it out, you have to have a Walmart account- super simple to set up. Have you tried this? To me, Living Simply doesn’t mean doing things how everyone else does. It simply means to do things how you find is the easiest for you. I think as a mom and wife, this can be hard to learn to do at times. You want everything to be perfect but in reality, it doesn’t always work that way. Not to mention the pressure from everywhere to do things a certain way. So today, I challenge you to think about one thing in your daily routine that is generally difficult. Think about why you find it to be difficult, and see if there is one small change you can make, to make it just a little more simple. And now it’s back to school, too! As much as I’ve loved being back in school, I’m definitely just as glad it’ll be done soon. One of the things I was most worried about going back to school was figuring out how to manage it all. It was a small learning curve, but it’s been so great continuing my education. Never would I have thought I would have the opportunity to go back to school to earn a Master’s in a field I find great passion. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to work through the challenges, the learning opportunities, and experiences! So life currently isn’t the simplest. At least not as much I would love it to be or my Living Simply motto. But it’s my beautiful life with my family and our crazy schedule. The @thepioneerwoman is taking over my shelving! My mom recently lined her shelves in her pantry and cabinets. I couldn’t get over what a difference the appearance! Since today has been kinda gloomy, I decided to take on the task of emptying all the stuff out of the pantry and refrigerator and line the shelves with this ever so lovely shelving paper. As some of you know, I’m greatly obsessed with @thepioneerwoman and all her beautiful things. So, I of course found these colorful liners @walmart to match the rest of my kitchen. Today was back to my real job! It was a great day and despite being off for a couple weeks and needing the break, it’s always so nice to see all the students again. Being in the education world has to be one of the most rewarding jobs. This semester I will be completing my Administrative Internship and onto graduation. Even though I’m a life-long learner, I’ll be glad school is done. I wish all educators, students, and parents a healthy, safe semester! Yesterday I went to my favorite store @hobbylobby! They have the best home decor for every room in the house. I always find greats deals and unique ideas that I wouldn’t have normally thought of (or planned). • In my house I have a cross wall. I love finding unique crosses that have bible verses or have pretty designs. I found these two crosses yesterday! Aren’t they beautiful?! I love the color contrasts and the flowers! • I love all things arrows. It’s even part of my blog logo. But I found this arrow key holder to add a fun look where we hang our keys. • The second picture (swipe to see) is my absolute favorite quote from the Bible. “Love never fails” -1 Corinthians 13:8 This is hung in my laundry room and we’ll add shelves under the sign to give it more function for the space. • These simple home decor pieces add such homeliness to any area. Today I wanted to share with you all my new favorite hair essentials! I picked up this @love_amika hair accessory set from @sephora last weekend. By the way, if you’ve never been in Sephora, it’s not the best place to take small children! I’ve seen this brand a few times from fellow bloggers and beautify influencers so I researched on my own and thought I’d give it a try. • The Perfectly Polished Straightening Brush was so easy to use! I thought it gave my hair a more blow dry look rather than a complete flat iron- straight. As long as your hair is deranged, it glides right through! • I was extra excited about this set than just the straightening brush because I wanted to try the detangling primer and dry shampoo. (Dry shampoo is basically the best this ever) As a bonus, the set included a mask for hair nourishment and a texture spray from volume! Each item hasn’t disappointed. Everything smells so fresh and leaves my hair looking great! • When doing my hair, I keep my routine simple. I don’t have a lot of time in the morning to have a long, drawn out routine so I keep it as simple as possible.
