Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader Part 6 (Epilouge)
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing: Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters
[Y/N] relaxed against his shoulder as Katsuki ran a hand through her hair, the two sitting on his bed- empty bowls on the nightstand beside them that had held some food that Katsuki made earlier that night. It had been a week since they had ‘confessed’ in their own confusing and chaotic way and things seemed to be going pretty smoothly.
[Y/N] fiddled absently, her thoughts running rampant in her head. Katsuki was ranting about something or other that had happened earlier that day- probably something to do with Deku or Todoroki, but [Y/N] was only half listening, trying to organize her thoughts as best she could before speaking to him about them.
Didn't mean she wasn't fully capable of keeping up the conversation, adding small comments or occasional laughs- but still a little bit occupied. Katsuki continued on his rant for a few more minutes before finally seeming to pick up on the fact that she wasn’t fully there.
“Hey. Whatcha thinking about?” he asked, flicking her forehead softly.[Y/N] blinked in surprise, jerking her head back a short ways as she was pulled back out of her brain. “O-oh- my bad.. Sorry..” she mumbled, turning her eyes back up to him. “What were you saying?”
Katsuki’s eyes narrowed, “Nothing important- just school stuff.” he said honestly, “Now what’re you thinking so hard about?” [Y/N] paused a second before she shrugged with a quiet smile. “Not sure, honestly.. Just thinking I guess.”
Katsuki raised a brow doubtingly, “Come on … what are you actually thinking about?” he asked, [Y/N] biting her lip and glancing between her hands and his crimson eyes. “I … I uhm …” she said softly before gathering her confidence. “I want to go on an actual date.” she said honestly. “I mean I want to take you on a date- … if you’re okay with that.” she said, biting her lip gently.
Katsuki blinked in surprise, his brows twitching upwards. [Y/N] flushed, ducking her head and rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. “It's um.. nevermind- um… I'm happy with how things are.. I just.. wanted to do something for you..”
Katsuki stayed frozen for a moment, “No- don’t apologize.” he said quickly, “I mean … I appreciate it but uhm …” his eyebrows creased, looking around them. “Doesn’t this count as a date? We ate food- we talked- …” he said with a shrug.
[Y/N] smiled quietly after a minute of thought, nodding with a nonchalant shrug. “I guess you’re right, just, you made dinner- so I just wanted to do something for you too..” she admitted in slightly flustered embarrassment, smiling sheepishly as she looked away with a blush.
Katsuki smirked, pausing for a moment before leaning down and pressing a kiss to her cheek, [Y/N]’s eyes widening in surprise- “Do whatever you want … but I’m happy.” Her lips thinned while her cheeks darkened, [Y/N] taking a moment but nodding softly.
Katsuki pulled away, his crimson eyes widening … “that okay?” he asked. She smiled widely, her eyes warm and her expression soft as she nodded quickly. “Yeah.” she agreed happily.
Katsukis shoulders relaxed, “Good.” he said with a nod, pressing another kiss to her temple before leaning back against the wall again. [Y/N] swallowed the quiet hum that threatened to jump out of her throat, curling her legs neatly beside her as she followed him back with a smile.
A small smile tried to sneak onto Katsuki’s face but he quickly straightened his face back into its usual glare as he opened his laptop to start a movie. [Y/N] leaned closer in order to see, propping her chin up on his shoulder while he scrolled through to find a film.
[This is the end! I know it took so long to upload and I apologize, but I hope you liked the story, and thank you for being patient and for reading!]

Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader Part Five
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing: Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters
[Y/N] rolled over in bed at the sound of her phone buzzing, reaching for the device on her nightstand. Her throat burned and her chest ached, [Y/N] gritting her teeth in pain as she fumbled for her phone.
She yelped slightly as it nearly fell, barely catching it and turning the screen towards her. Her heart nearly stopped at the contact- and her flowers flared as she realized when she picked the phone up, she'd accidentally accepted the call.
“Hey-” Katsukis gruff voice came from the other line, [Y/N] panicking as she quickly sat up, “h-hey-!” She squeaked in surprise.
She rubbed her eyes, holding the phone away from her a moment as she cleared her throat. “Wh-what’s uh.. up?” She mumbled sleepily. Katsuki grunted, “I didn't mean to wake you up… Sorry” he grumbled apologetically.
[Y/N] stifled a yawn, taking a shuddered breath as she reset- her lungs struggling silently. “That's ok.. you alright?”
Katsuki was silent for a bit at that question before speaking quickly. “Would it be alright if I came over?” he questioned, even if it sounded a bit more like a demand, “I feel like we should talk.” he managed quickly.
[Y/N] blinked quickly, trying to quell her panic. “U-uhm- what about?” She stumbled, trying to shake the remnants of sleep. Katsuki cleared his throat slightly before speaking, “Just uhm … I’ve been- thinking about some stuff.” he said pensively “And I’d like your opinion or whatever.
She paused for a moment in confused thought. “O-okay, um- me too actually.” She murmured quietly. Katsuki paused for a second. “Good. Cuz I'm outside.” [Y/N] made a startled yelp before answering quickly, “Oh! O-Okay- give me just a second!” she exclaimed, leaping out of bed and throwing on a shirt over her tank top, trying not to cough loudly enough for him to hear.
[Y/N] gripped her chest as she stood, the room spinning at her lack of air combined with the sudden movement. She coughed violently, reaching out for anything to grab so she wouldn't fall.
Her knees buckled from under her, [Y/N] not sure what she grabbed but knowing whatever it was, she took down with her in a crash- but coughing too hard to care.
“Shoot! [Y/N]?” She heard Katsuki swear from outside the hall, “I’m coming in, okay?” he grunted, opening the door as [Y/N] curled her knees to her chest in embarrassment.
Her eyes watered as she panted, grasping her throat as it felt like the thorns stuck in it were trying to push their way through her skin from the inside. She felt her quirk materialize out of instinct, flailing miserably and crashing into more miscellaneous items.
“[Y/N]! [Y/N]!” Katsuki spoke to get her attention, quickly kneeling in front of her, “Hey- look at me, calm down.” he said, placing one hand on his shoulder and the other hand reaching for the water bottle she had knocked over. “Deep breaths through your nose.” he demanded, forcing her attention onto his crimson red eyes.
The flowers erupted under his stare, [Y/N] curling inward with a soft squeak of agony, scrabbling at her neck. Katsuki quickly backed off, looking at her in alarm. “[Y/N] what’s going on?” he questioned, his eyes searching her in confusion before his vision snagged on something. Tears streamed down her face, [Y/N] coughing violently to try and get the flowers out of her throat so she could breathe again- Katsuki losing her attention as she tried and failed to pull herself up.
“[Y/N] …” Katsuki said quietly, holding something in his hands that she couldn’t see. [Y/N] only shook her head, trying to pull herself up to sit properly as her lungs tried to hack up another flower, [Y/N] mortified that it was happening while Katsuki was literally right there.
She silently cried harder, her arms arching to shield her as petals and full fledged flower heads finally cascaded from her lips- the betraying, cheerful, peachy petals spattered red.
The explosive blonde fell silent, still kneeling on the floor as rose petals fell to the ground at [Y/N]’s feet- a strangled sob making it’s way to her throat before suddenly Katsuki was moving quickly in the corner of her blurry vision. “[Y/N]-” he said again, [Y/N] recognizing the sound of a bottle of pills hitting the ground as Katsuki dropped it to kneel in front of her, lifting a hand up to her face to cup one of her cheeks and tilting her head up the few inches to meet his eyes.
“Are you in love with me?”
She shook violently, tears still streaming down her face as she tried to make herself as small as possible. “I- I'm so sorry- b-but… Yes..” she hiccuped.
Katsuki shook his head as a shuddered gasp left his lips, heaving a deep breath as the hand holding her face warmed. “D-don’t apologize.” he muttered quickly, his cheeks tinted pink. “I love you too…. Gosh [Y/N] I love you so much …” he whispered passionately.
She drew back as her mind reeled, that not being the reaction she expected at all. “Wh-what..?” She whispered tearfully in shock. Katsuki’s crimson eyes met hers, his face still it’s usual glare- but it wasn’t angry, it was determined and passionate and genuine. “I love you.” he repeated again, “I love you and good gosh I don’t want to see you hurting.” he cursed in a whisper.
[Y/N] blinked her wide eyes back up at him in silence, biting her lip so it wouldn't tremble. Her eyes screwed shut and she slowly ducked her head, silently setting her forehead against his chest as she hugged herself.
Katsuki wrapped both of his arms around her protectively, tucking her tight to her chest as [Y/N] let her brain comprehend the last chaotic three minutes of her life … Katsuki loved her?
The pain that had resided in her throat for so long and caused her so much pain was gone immediately, as if it had never been there as [Y/N] felt her lungs be released from the crushing grip of the roses vines- the sickening scent of flowers leaving her airways as she took in a shuddering gasp as the sudden sensation.
She panted quickly, her eyes shut tight and her brows furrowed as she hugged her arms to her chest, holding her neck. “I'm sorry..” she whispered- the cuts left in her throat still making it raw. Katsuki shook his head, “I’m sorry.” he said in retaliation. “If I would’ve known you were going through this s*** too, I would’ve told you the second I found out.” he swore, tucking her close as if doing so would help relieve the pain.
[Y/N] tucked her legs next to her, allowing herself to be immersed in his safe grasp as she tried to grasp his last sentence. She turned her head so her cheek was against his chest instead, still shivering. “I'm just.. I'm sure this isn't… The way you wanted to hear it. I don't want to.. to make you feel obligated…” She mumbled.
Katsuki scoffed, shaking his head, “[Y/N]- after puking up flowers for the past 48 hours I couldn’t care less how it happened … I’m just relieved to be able to breathe again …” he said softly, [Y/N]’s eyes widened in realization as she hadn’t even considered until this moment that he could’ve been going through the same thing.
She pulled her head back to examine him, her exhausted mind still trying it's best to function as quickly as her adrenaline wanted. “Y-you..?”
Katsuki scoffed, nodding quietly before pressing his forehead to the top of her head. “Just breathe for a bit- we can talk about it in the morning …” he said quietly, taking a deep breath himself.
[Y/N] paused, her mind screeching at her to keep talking, but her tired, aching body got the best of her, nodding and slumping against him. Katsuki nodded quietly, squeezing her close for a minute before speaking. “Is uhm … is it okay if I just … hold you for a bit?” he grunted embarrassedly.
[Y/N] smiled at the sentence, her face warming comfortably and for some reason the question making her rather happy. She nodded, closing her eyes and settling against him. Katsuki squeezed her close, tucking his head on top of hers and [Y/N] feeling content to realize that they just kind of fit well together.
She nestled into him, finding how naturally warm he was comforting- as her arms tentatively looped themselves around his waist in return. Katsuki tensed slightly, but only for a minute before he tucked himself closer with a small huff, [Y/N] taking a deep breath and relishing in not feeling dizzy for a moment.
A deep inhale slid down her throat and into her lungs- [Y/N] not knowing if she would ever be able to relish the feeling of air actually moving freely down her airways as much as in this moment. And finally, after a torturing few days, her body began to relax.
…
Katsuki’s eyes fluttered open as he registered a crick in his neck- and also the fact that he was apparently sitting on the floor rather than sleeping in his bed?
He grunted in displeasure, lifting his head against what it was leaning on and his sleep-fogged mind extremely confused. Katsuki turned his attention down, brows arching as he found [Y/N]- the two having fallen asleep leaning against each other and the wall.
His eyes widened as he remembered the phiasco that had been both of their attempted and mildly forced confessions- Katsuki taking a deep, flower free breath as his mind woke up.
He rolled his neck to stretch, smiling subtly. He turned his eyes back down to her after a moment, his hand absently playing with her hair while his mind ran. He had expected his thoughts to be anxiety ridden, and maybe they would be once he was fully awake, but right now he was more than content to just hold her close.
Katsuki shifted to lean more comfortably against the wall, pulling [Y/N] with him and tucking her back close. [Y/N] shifted in his arms, offering a small yawn and tucking herself close.
Katsuki blinked quickly in silent startlement, flushing quietly but squeezing her as close as she could possibly be. [Y/N] hummed contentedly, Katsuki reaching a hand up to pet through her hair and closing his eyes again. A quiet sound reached his ear, what was close to a cat purring- almost silently, and slightly raspy as though it hurt a little bit… [Y/N] nestling closer.
His eyes fluttered open in surprise as he realized the contented sound was coming from [Y/N]- the thoughts making his cheeks redden. Katsuki looked her up and down for a moment, a tiny smile crossing his lips while he set his head atop hers.
[Y/N] continued to purr softly as she slept, Katsuki wondering if he should move her to her bed but also really not wanting to stop holding her.
He settled with staying where he was, hugging her tight and petting her hair while he rubbed her arm.
The sun would be coming up soon anyway and they would have to go to class, no sense in waking her up now. He sighed softly, leaning back against the wall and exhaling a deep, contented breath. Of everything, this was not the outcome he predicted.. but knowing he was beyond grateful.
…
[Y/N] rubbed her eyes blurrily with a quiet yawn as she stretched, her head nestling against … Something? Her brows furrowed as she realized she was sitting up, leaning against something rather than actually in bed.
She blinked open an eye, brows furrowed in confusion as she tried to figure out where she was.
The sight of strong arms wrapped tightly around her waist brought her back to her surroundings with a jolt as she remembered the events of last night.
[Y/N] blinked quickly in surprise, sitting straighter and jumping as she looked up to her eyes meeting crimson red.
“Finally woke up.” Bakugo grunted with a small smirk, [Y/N] blushing. She quickly turned her gaze back down, flushing as she rubbed an eye. “S-sorry..” Katsuki grunted again, “don't worry about it.” He muttered, setting his head back on top of hers.
She made a soft sound of surprise, a quiet, contented smile drawing over her lips as she settled back against him, nodding.
The two sat in silence for a bit. She exhaled a shuddered breath, nuzzling closer to him with a flushed face and a happy smile.
Katsuki grunted, ducking his head- “... Were you puking up roses?” He asked quietly. [Y/N] bit the corner of her lip, but nodded, the sentence bringing her to realize her throat still ached.
Katsuki nodded, tapping his forehead to the top of her head. “Do you … I mean should we talk about it or- … Whatever?” He grunted embarrassedly. [Y/N] bit her cheek, shifting softly. “Do you… Want to?”
Katsuki was silent for a bit before answering, “not really … But we probably should.” He said briefly, turning away with a blush. [Y/N] nodded, hugging him gently.
“K… What.. what should we talk about then?”
Katsuki shook his head, “heck if I know … I just … Are we- are we dating now, do you want to? How long has this ish been going on? What were you thinking falling in love with me?”
[Y/N] sat back, thinning her lips. “Because you're a good person. Because you genuinely try, at everything, and you genuinely care. You've made me a better person in just a year than I ever thought I could have been- and you're determined to keep going even when everything's against it.”
Katsukis crimson eyes stared at her in surprise, his cheeks darkening. She paused as she realized what she said, flushing as she looked away. “A-among.. other things… That's.. what I was thinking..”
Katsuki blinked a few times before clearing his throat quietly, looking to the ground. “H-how long have … Uhm- …” He spoke gruffly through his admittedly kind of cute blush. [Y/N] smiled quietly, aware of how hot her cheeks were herself as she wrung her hands together. “U-uhm- I don't really.. know?”
Katsuki grunted in agreement, his grip around her tightening slightly before he spoke… “I think I've liked you for a while.” He admitted. [Y/N] felt her face continue to warm, a smile yanking its way into her face against her will. “I… Think, me too..”
Katsuki nodded, “are we … Do you-?” He tried before growling and dropping his head, his eyes in a glare as he undoubtedly tried to process his emotions. [Y/N] paused, encouragingly waiting for him to continue.
“Are we like … A couple now?” He growled the tips of his ears turning red. [Y/N]’s face followed the same manner, ducking her head. “Um.. do you… want to be?”
Katsuki cursed quietly, “How should I know- I don't know how to do any of this crap I just want … I just want to …” his voice faded as he squeezed her, tucking her close. [Y/N] looked up at him in timid curiosity, waiting for the end of the sentence as she bit her lip.
“Whatever…” He finally muttered, “I don't know- shoot-” he swore. [Y/N] squeezed him gently, tucking herself close. “It’s ok to want something, even if it’s different from mine.. And I don’t even know what I want.” she murmured in faint amusement.
Katsuki growled, “whatever.” He muttered “I just … I don't really care about all that crappy romance and dating and stupid stuff like that. I just wanna …” He faded off before growling, “I just wanna be your freaking boyfriend or whatever! Take care of you and love you and s***! Whatever that means for … This.” He said, gesturing between them.
[Y/N] paused for a second in surprise, her eyes wide while she went silent. It took a second, but she felt her face shift to a wide smile, giggling softly as she blushed with a quiet nod.
Katsuki cursed, looking down at the ground again with a raging blush. “Don't laugh! I'm bad at this!” He shouted, only making [Y/N] smile wider.
She cupped his cheeks tenderly, shaking her head with a giggle. “No, no, I don't think it possible for you to be bad at anything honestly… But I uh.. I think that's a good.. idea.” Katsuki looked up to her with a softened glare.
“So do you wanna be my girlfriend or not?” He growled, [Y/N] laughing softly. She smiled as she tilted her head, her face softening. “I-if… that’s what you want.. I’d love to.”
Katsukis crimson eyes widened as of even after all that he still hasn't been expecting that answer, “I'm gonna be a crappy boyfriend.” He warned, “but I can learn to be the best dang boyfriend in the entire world.” He said confidently.
[Y/N] giggled, gently tapping their foreheads together. “And that’s how I know you already are. Or at least to me.”
Katsuki gave a firm nod, squeezing her into a hug. [Y/N] giggled happily, hugging him in return, tucking herself closer. Katsuki rubbed his hands over her back for a moment before speaking again. “We should go to recovery girl. Just to make sure the flowers are all cleared up.”
[Y/N] chewed her bottom lip with a sigh, nodding quietly as she sat back. Katsuki nodded as well, glancing to her for a moment before blushing and looking away, shifting to pull himself to his feet and cracking his back.
She folded her legs beside her, reaching her arms up to stretch with a yawn. Katsuki glanced around her room, “ you're gonna need a new bed table.” He said, [Y/N] noting she had broken the shelf in her fall. She face palmed with a sigh, laughing ruefully.
Katsuki smirked, shaking his head. “We’ll worry about it later” he grunted. She nodded softly, holding one of her arms with the opposite hand and smiling sheepishly.
Katsuki glanced toward her like he wanted to say something but ultimately decided against it, walking towards the door and holding it for her. “C'mon.” She paused curiously, studying him for a moment or two longer before she nodded.

Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader Part Four
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing: Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters “So how are you going to confess?” Shoto asked quietly as [Y/N] wiped her eyes, a few frustrated tears having made their way to the surface.
[Y/N] shook her head helplessly with a shrug. “I don't know… I didn't know what I was feeling for him until a day ago..” Shoto nodded, “I can get that.” he said honestly, “Emotions are complicated- and distinguishing and giving them names is even harder.”
She nodded, rubbing her temples as her brain began to give her a headache from overworking itself. Shoto lifted his hand to rub her back gently, looking at her in quiet concern. “I don’t want to see you going through this- roses are dangerous, and organs are fragile. If there's any way I can help I want to.” he told her.
[Y/N] nodded in exhaustion, giving him a quiet smile. “Thank you..” she mumbled, leaning against him. Shoto nodded, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. “Of course…” he said quietly. “Do you want to head back to the dorms? You’re clearly exhausted- there's no way you’re going to train like that.” he said honestly.
[Y/N] bit her lip but shook her head. “I want to at least try.. If I don’t at least attempt to keep up my physical achievements I’m not going to improve. Shoto nodded, “I get that, but putting your body through more stress than is needed when you’re sick isn’t achieving anything- if anything it just makes it worse and will make it harder to heal faster.” he reasoned.
She sighed, closing her eyes and feeling the petals ruffle in her chest with the exhale, causing another soft cough. “...alright..”
Shoto nodded, “I’ll tell Aizawa you weren’t feeling good. You go back to the dorms and get some sleep and … maybe try to think about confessing.” he expressed. [Y/N] nodded slowly, giving him a quiet smile. “Thanks…”
He nodded, [Y/N] bending down to grab her backpack, catching sight of the door to the roof opening, Katsuki and Kirishima stepping out into the lunchroom, the sight of him making her stomach twist anxiously.
She looked quickly away as she felt a thorn give her insides a warning poke, clearing her throat and hurrying after Shoto.
The two made their way quickly out of the lunch room, Shoto wrapping an arm protectively around her. “Is there anything I can do?” he asked as they reached the exit. [Y/N] gave him a tired smile. “I’ll.. be alright, but thank you.” she murmured genuinely.
Shoto nodded, giving her a sad smile. “Alright- text me.” he said with a small nod, [Y/N] nodded as well, already feeling the tiredness washing over her again. “Right.” she agreed. He gave her a soft squeeze before letting go, [Y/N] waving tiredly.
“Ten ways to tell if he’s in love with you.” [Y/N] read out loud, feeling herself gag from disgust rather than the flowers as she rolled her eyes and kept scrolling. How to tell if a boy likes you. What if your crush doesn’t know you exist. Easiest ways to read a guy's mind. Each one was just as stupid as the next.
After a few minutes of scrolling [Y/N] finally rolled her eyes, sticking out her tongue in a fake gag and closing the tab in defeat. None of these were even remotely helpful. She rolled over in bed, setting her phone down on the pillow next to her as she curled her knees to her chest and tucked the blankets around her shoulders. Millions of people on the internet and not a single one of them could talk about love in a way that sounded realistic and didn’t make her cringe.
She combed a hand through her hair. Maybe it was just because she was such an ignorant dunce about it… maybe it was because Katsuki was… different...from your average guy- but nothing seemed to click. The way Katsuki made her feel was just … the way Katsuki always made her feel. Safe and protected and cared about. Nothing had really changed between being friends with him and being in love with him. Maybe that's why it was so hard to imagine herself confessing- because she didn’t know what she would even tell him that he didn’t already know!
[Y/N] rubbed between her eyes in frustration, slowly dragging herself to a sitting position and holding her head as the action made the blood rush to it.
Still- it seemed that the flowers had different ideas in mind, [Y/N] groaning as she had to take a second to gasp for breath. She screwed her eyes shut a moment, only cracking them open a second later to look around frantically. What time was it?
The red numbers on the clock glowed softly in the darkness. 7:53pm
Sh*t [Y/N] thought quietly, trying to heave herself to her feet to find her meds.
Her head felt dizzy as she pulled herself to her feet, making her way to the bathroom. [Y/N] stumbled, gritting her teeth as another cough shook her body, the distraction causing her to trip and crash to the floor.
“Shoot! Not again-” she growled, cursing her fragile body and forcing herself upwards. [Y/N] grit her teeth, heaving herself up by the counter.
Her head felt dizzy but she forced herself to power through it, reaching for the pills recovery girl had given her, taking one of the suppressants and one of the painkillers.
She tilted her head down, panting as her hair slid in front of her face. She raised a hand to her face, gritting her teeth.
“Shoot” she muttered again, feeling tears run down her face before placing both pills in her mouth and leaning her head down to scoop water from the sink into her mouth.
She swallowed rather painfully, grimacing and sniffling as she panted. Her hands stabilized her on the counter as she panted softly … This was miserable.
[Y/N] shook her head, she had to do something soon.
She heaved a heavy sigh as she sat down on the cold tile floor of the bathroom, running a hand through her hair with a grimace.
But what that would be was the question. She sniffed as she pulled herself to her feet after a long moment, making her way back to her room and picking up her phone… Hesitating a moment before simply googling the word ‘hanahaki’.
[Y/N] rubbed an eye as she scrolled, sniffling silently as her eyes flitted over words. There wasn't much on the subject, but there were at least a few people who seemed to be in her same position, still in denial about confessing to their loved one.
She chewed her cheek, trying to find any proof that they made it work somehow. It took a long time but she eventually found an Instagram page from a young man who had apparently had the disease and was now actually with his person.
[Y/N] blinked in surprise, sad that it didn't seem to be a common outcome. She scrolled through a bit of his page until she found a thread of question and answer videos.
A small pause of hesitance made her stop, [Y/N] shaking her head and clicking them.
The boy smiled brightly at the camera, waving happily.
“Hey guys!! So I've been getting a ton of questions about my disease and just- what it is and how I dealt with it and how I ended up with Ika and everything like that- so I'm here to answer your questions!!”
[Y/N] tilted her head curiously, sitting back in her chair and tucking her knees to her chest as she watched.
“So the first question I get asked most of the time is what flowers were growing and what did it feel like” he said with a smile, “so I had sunflowers- which- yes. Are just as horrible as they sound.” He giggled, “they felt like they were constantly suffocating me- twisting their way around my lungs or my ribs- and even when I was on the medication I still felt like they were trying to make their way up my throat.” He explained.
[Y/N] blinked, gently holding her throat subconsciously.
“And when I had it I knew right from the start that surgery wasn't gonna be an option- just for me personally, other people think differently.” He shrugged … “Which leads me to the next most asked question … How did you confess?”
[Y/N] sat forward, not being able to help herself as her anxiety and anticipation gently prodded her.
The young man on camera sighed, “this part was hard- I felt like I was suddenly being forced into a relationship that I wasn't ready for, or that Ika wouldn't accept me and I'd be alone, and miserable, and still have to get surgery …” He said sadly.
She blinked, slightly glad to know she wasn’t alone in that opinion- wringing her hands together.
“But ultimately it came down to the fact that Ika was my best friend in the world-and the sicker I got the more I had to avoid her and the more it hurt, both her and me.” he said sadly, “and suddenly it became less about confessing and more about owing her the truth and an explanation.”
[Y/N] bit her lip, her mind recalculating at what was practically the speed of sound as she sat back to process.
The boy bit his lip softly before shrugging. “In the end I guess it wasn't really romantic of me.” He laughed a bit nostalgically, “but I just invited her over and the two of us just sat and talked and I eventually spit it out. And got very very lucky that she felt the same.” He smiled.
[Y/N] blinked, nodding slowly to herself as she tapped her finger to her desk. That seemed to be the easiest option.. Although she wasn’t really expecting to get anywhere near as fortunate. But that would be fine. She would be more than thankful to have him as a friend.. If that was still possible.
The boy smiled at the camera with another shrug, “that's how it worked out for me anyway. If you guys have more questions feel free to ask them and if by the rare rare chance one of you is going through what I went through… Take a chance. Don't assume other people's emotions- and don't so easily write off what could turn into the best thing in your life!” He said enthusiastically. “You got this!”
[Y/N] stared at the screen for a moment, the video continuing and the guy continuing to explain some other, assortment of things. She bit her lip, screwing her eyes shut and furrowing her brows at the dulled feeling in her chest- slightly surprised at how hard it made thinking.
She eventually set her phone to the side, turning it off to sit in silence as she thought about what he said despite the creeping sleepiness at the back of her brain. [Y/N] stumbled to her bed, her eyelids growing heavy and her body taking her down against her will. Her brain was still determined to think though, as it continued to work itself in circles as it grew more groggy.
Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to just invite Bakugo over to talk … Maybe she could even ask to study with him? That was normal enough, she reasoned sleepily. She nodded quietly. She could at least try… [Y/N] sighed, closing her eyes as her mind drifted off.
---
Katsuki cursed as he looked down at the peony petals in his hand, at least they weren't bloody anymore which meant the half dose of medication had done at least some of its job. He grumbled silently to himself as he set the delicate flower head on his desk, leaning against it himself and hunching his shoulders while he stared at it in thought.
The thoughts swirled around in his head like drunk fish, trying to find their way to any conclusion. Bakugo wasn't usually one to be indecisive for so long, but this one had him stumped. He snarled in frustration, softly punching the desk and stomping into a pace.
Yes it would be easiest to just confess and get it over with- but it was the negative possibilities that were making him hesitate… he could picture them all too well.
There was the most likely one, being that [Y/N] saw Katsuki for the absolute piece of crap friend he already was and rejected him on the spot, then the less realistic but equally terrifying thought that she might accept his feelings and have to learn how awful of a person he was slowly over time.
He yelled another soft growl of frustration, moving over to the wall in order to slam his forehead against it. He was walking himself in circles.
He needed to just be a man and do it. He needed to confess his feelings- the flowers weren't giving him any other option. Katsuki nodded quietly to himself, absently leaning against the wall as he glanced towards his clock.
It was almost nine o'clock … And he had until the next morning to plan the most perfect confession to ever exist. Katsuki clenched his jaw, glaring down at the ground at the thought.
He could feel the leaves and flowers inside him filling his lungs, feeling like then were twisting around his ribs. He felt like he was suffocating again, coughing violently.
He forced himself up, grabbing a bottle of water as he coughed, hitting a fist against his chest. Katsuki rolled his eyes in annoyance, forcing air down his throat along with the water.
The sickening stench of wet flowers filled his airway, but he could finally breathe again. Katsuki hissed, pacing quickly as he debated. He hated the idea he was currently thinking of … But right now it seemed like his best option.
His phone buzzed in his pocket as if reading his mind, Katsuki growling as he slung it out to text Kirishima. He paused a minute as he thought of what to say, tapping the side of his phone as he typed.
‘Come over- I need your help with something.’ He ultimately decided on- stuffing his phone back in his pocket and falling back on his bed to wait impatiently. He jogged his knee, Running his hand through his hair until he heard a quiet knock on his wall to tell him that Kiri was on his way.
Katsuki grunted, rolling into his side. He hated asking for help, but he didn't hate it nearly as much as this stupid sickness. He folded his arms grumpily, staying still even as Katsuki heard his door open.
The light from the hallway outside illuminated his room as Kirishima stepped in. “Hey man- aren't you usually asleep by this time?” He asked, closing the door behind him.
Katsuki nodded with a shrug. “ Need you.” He excused. Kirishima fell silent in apparent surprise before nodding, “uhh … K- how can I help?” He asked, sitting down on the end of Katsukis bed.
Katsuki sat up, hunching his shoulders as he set his elbows on his knees, staring at him in thought for a moment.
“How do I confess to [Y/N]?” He growled, feeling the flowers in his chest twist, constricting. Kiri blinked in surprise. “O-oh-”
Katsuki glared, already feeling his face heat up in embarrassment. Kiri jogged his leg as he crossed his arms, smiling. “Well.. you could just walk up to her and do it, or we could think of something more elaborate.” Katsuki growled again “aren't these things supposed to be romantic or crap?” He asked, honestly wondering about the answer.
Kirishima shrugged. “That depends on if you want it to be, you can do it however you like, really.” Katsuki considered this for a moment before grunting, “how would you do it?” He demanded a moment later. Kiri hummed, his foot tapping faster as he thought.
“I think I would find a fine time where we're both at ease and by ourselves, and then just tell them.” Katsuki paused before cursing at how easy he made it sound.
Kiri laughed, nudging him. “ It doesn't need to be as complicated as you're making it. You're overthinking it, man.” Katsuki sighed, “I know…” He finally admitted, “I just want to get it over with.”
“ Then get it over with!” Kiri restated with a laugh, punching his arm softly. Katsuki growled but punched him back lightly with a smirk. Eijiro laughed happily at the small smile, gently pushing him off his bed and to his feet. “If you really wanna get it over with, go do it right now.”
Katsukis eyes widened as he was taken over by coughs in his mild panic. Kirishima stood quickly, helping him breathe again by carefully punching his back… Then darting to grab the trash can so Katsuki had somewhere to put the flowers he was hacking up.
Katsuki cursed loudly. “Frick. How am I supposed to confess when just the thought of seeing her causes that?!” He demanded, gesturing to the nearly full sized peony in his palm.
Eijiro bit his lip, his sharp teeth causing a miniscule cut on his bottom lip. “I think the longer you wait the worse it'll get..” Katsuki sighed, dumping the flower in the trash and knowing he was right.
Eijiro nudged him again. “Just go tell her, and if you can't tonight, figure it out tomorrow. I think either way it'll feel at least a bit better to get clarification.” Katsuki grunted, knowing he was right. “K… Thanks… Or whatever.” He mumbled, punching his friend again.
Kiri laughed, nudging him with his foot. “Course! Now get out of here.” He chuckled. Katsuki scoffed, pushing Kirishima off his bed, “alright! Whatever-” he growled, but not aggressively as Kirishima laughed.
He stared at his best friend a moment as the red head laughed, tilting his head at Katsuki. He managed the faintest smirk in return, shaking his head as he turned away and slid for the door.

Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader Part Three
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing; Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters
[Hey guys! Here’s a longer chapter, sorry for the delays in posting! Also I should have a master list up for this fic sometime today! -Jac]
Katsuki was woken up by the sound of the door opening, immediately jolting himself from sleep as he didn’t recognize this room as his own. Recovery Girl set another glass of water on the nightstand next to him, setting her hands on top of each other on her cane.
“I believe that you should be able to go to class.” she said simply.
Katsuki’s eyes widened in surprise, “Oh shoot-” he muttered as he sat up quickly- “What time is it?” He asked, reaching for the glass. “An hour before Mr. Aizawa should be beginning class. However, the situation’s currently out of my hands as all I can do at this point is provide you with the medication and painkillers if you choose to take them. Since Hanahaki is a rare disease that stems from strange trauma, I cannot force you into a confession; it has to come naturally. So, I believe that you should return to your regular daily life with that kept in mind.”
Katsuki swore quietly, “alright.” he muttered simply, glancing down as Recovery girl put a small bottle of pills on the nightstand that made his heart lurch a bit and the flowers in his lungs flutter as if they knew what was coming.
He thinned his lips, his mind mulling over the different options and opting to grab the bottle of painkillers instead. Recovering girl sighed softly but nodded, “Take two a day until you are hopefully able to confess- and never take more than that dosage alright.” she told him firmly.
Katsuki nodded, hesitating a moment before pocketing the other bottle and heaving himself to his feet to move towards the door.
“Oh- and Bakugo.” she said as she moved with him to the door, “A confession is still the easiest way to relieve the pain weighing you down. The medication is not supposed to be a permanent solution.” he paused a moment before he grunted with a nod, not hesitating any longer as he immediately jogged down the hall to head back to the dorms to get ready for class.
[Y/N] rubbed her eyes as she tied her tie, having gotten very little sleep last night. She could feel the pills recovery girl had given her begin to kick in, frowning at the heavy feeling they added. She had told Recovery girl earlier in the night that she didn’t want the pills or the surgery, but until she confessed to Bakugo Recovery girl had recommended she take the suppressant pills anyway so as to not let the rose thorn cause any further damage. She closed her eyes for a moment with a sigh, slowly picking up her backpack and trying not to allow the medication to affect her too much.
Her throat wasn't hurting as badly, but the emotional side effects were weighing on her heavily already and it hasn't even been a day.
She sighed quietly, closing her eyes and holding a hand in her hair for a moment. “Ok…” She mumbled, running through the schedule again in her mind. She would have a period of time from just after classes to around eight p.m where the medication would wear off and she would have to take pain killers- Recovery Girl had warned that taking it any sooner would cause negative effects, but taking it a minute late and her flowers would flare up again.
She sighed as she looked at the ground … She would need to confess to Bakugo soon- she knew that the medication wasn't supposed to be permanent- but she was having trouble thinking of a situation where Katsuki would ever return her feelings.
[Y/N] sighed, rubbing her temples. She didn't want to lose the relationship she currently had with him- she genuinely liked having him as a friend… But it seemed that option had been taken from her. It was either she confessed and he somehow miraculously accepted her- or she got surgery.
She felt tears well up behind her eyes as she stared in the mirror … How could Katsuki Bakugo ever accept feelings from someone like her?
She clenched her teeth, the numbing feeling pounding down on her body preventing any real opinion she could give.
She rubbed her eyes tiredly before finally turning to her door to leave her dorm. [Y/N] moved out of the building in what almost felt like a daze- her thoughts running blankly.
“[Y/N]- [Y/N]!” She finally heard Uraraka's voice calling to her as she stepped into UA, [Y/N]s eyes widening. “Oh! Yes? Sorry?” She asked quickly.
She gave her a slightly sad smile, gently tapping her shoulder. “You ok?” She asked softly, [Y/N] nodding softly with a quiet smile. “Just tired, sorry.. what was it?” She murmured with a quiet smile. Uraraka shrugged, “just wanted to know if you were feeling any better” she said honestly as they walked.
[Y/N] kept her smile on her face, shrugging. “On and off…”
Uraraka nodded, “well I hope you feel better! Recovery girl gave you some stuff to help right” She said off handedly.
[Y/N] nodded weakly, “Yeah- nothing permanent but its supposed to help.” she told her.
Uraraka nodded opening her mouth like she wanted to ask something else but they were quickly interrupted when they walked into the usual commotion of the classroom. She blinked quickly, every sound that reached her ears sounding amplified.
She grimaced painfully as she ducked her head, “sorry- I'm gonna go sit down-” she told Uraraka briefly, making her way to her seat and pulling out her headphones to hopefully block some of the noise.
Her already sensitive ears ached, her lungs following after and causing [Y/N] to screw her eyes shut and set her head on the desk. She set some soft white noise to play on her phone, hoping someone would tap her on the shoulder when Aizawa began teaching.
She kept her head down, her jaw tight and her posture stiff. She closed her eyes as she felt a deep numbness cover her sadness- it was a horrible feeling, and it was only day one.
The medication dampened her despair towards it- but [Y/N] still knew it should be there and could feel it's absence- knowing she wanted to be done with this as soon as she could.
She felt a tap on her shoulder after a few more minutes, [Y/N] pulling her gaze up blurrily. She pulled her headphones from her ears, being able to handle the noise now that it was just Aizawa speaking.
Her eyes scanned the classroom, getting caught on the back of Katsuki’s head, the angry blonde slouched in his chair as usual, [Y/N] feeling a soft tint of blush meet her cheeks as she thought about him. The comfortability of him being there actually being one of the only emotions she could feel a little deeper.
She subtly shook her head, trying again to focus on what she should be. She opened up her notebook to take a few notes on what Aizawa was saying, glancing at the short list she had made the night before of prospective ways to confess to Katsuki- recovery girl has said it might help tame the flowers a bit.
[Y/N] chewed on her lip as she read over them, huffing a small sigh. She was still so new to the idea of love, to the strange feeling in her stomach she now recognized as romantic attraction, even if it was dulled by the medication. But it didn’t change the fact that none of the ideas on the list really felt like … her- or like anything Katsuki would particularly like.
[Y/N] sighed, shaking her head as she folded the list and pocketed it- not finding anything in it that would actually help. Right now she needed to focus on her school work, she would think better about the situation with Katsuki when she wasn’t supposed to be paying attention to something else anyway.
Class seemed to drag on for two times longer than it should have, [Y/N] already tired. By the time the bell finally rang she was already feeling ready to go back to the dorms, forcing herself to sit up a bit straighter as Aizawa left the room to be replaced with Present Mic. She furrowed her brows, closing her eyes a moment and taking a deep breath- as her aching throat has caused her to breathe shallow and therefore have a moment of dizziness.
“Hey- you okay?” Momo asked in concern from behind her, Todoroki looking to her earnestly as well. “You seem really tired- if you want me to take notes for you I can.” She offered, Shoto nodding as well.
[Y/N] forced a smile and shook her head. “I can make it, I don't want to bother you.” She murmured. Shoto seemed to see right through that excuse, giving her a piercing look that had been perfected over a year of the two of them being able to practically silently communicate.
‘what's actually going on?’
She shrank slightly, ducking her head. She sighed, discreetly signing a miniscule response.
‘not right now.. please? I'll tell you later.’
Shoto looked concerned but nodded anyway, Momo looking between the two of them and pulling out her phone to give them at least a bit of privacy, Shoto reaching forward and squeezing her hand.
A soft smile managed to pull it's way across her lips, [Y/N] gently squeezing back and moving her fingers up to sign a silent ‘thank you.’
Shoto nodded, offering a miniscule smile onto his face before leaning back in his chair, [Y/N] happy to be reminded she had a friend to talk to. She sighed as she sat back in her chair, closing her eyes a moment before refocusing her brain. It was going to be a long day.
…
Katsuki growled as he stuffed his things in his backpack quickly, forcing his way past people and towards the bathroom as he felt another freaking peony try to make its way up his throat. He clenched his jaw together, silently cursing.
The day had moved excruciatingly slow as Katsuki did his best to power past his new sickness, steamrolling himself into working even harder to prove to himself he could do it.
He grit his teeth and shook his head violently, trying to shake off the exhaustion as he stomped down the hall.
“Whoa dude- you looking even more murderous than usual.” Eijirou said as he caught up to him. Katsuki simply seethed, hiding the pain and the exhaustion with a scowl. Kirishima raised a brow but ultimately shook it off, probably just assuming Katsuki was in a bad mood.
He managed to swallow back a few of the massive flowers- the petals immediately blocking his airflow and causing Katsuki to choke as he began to run towards the bathroom. Kirishima yelped something in surprise but Katsuki didn't hear it as he ran into the men's bathroom, stabilizing his hands on the sink and coughing violently.
Katsuki hacked up another bout of flowers, his breathing strangled and fast as he tried to catch it again.
He took a few struggling deep breaths as he looked into the mirror, his lips stained red with blood, his face pale and dark circles under his eyes.
He thinned his lips with a growl, ripping paper towels out of their container and ridding himself of the blood- doing his best to clean the sink.
The sight of the flower petals made his stomach hurt, as if his love for [Y/N] was something inherently wrong, destined to slowly torture him from the inside out … How could something so genuine turn into something so vile?
He stared at the flowers miserably as he dumped them in the trash, his lips thinning as he tried not to shiver.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad- to confess his brain tried to argue, you two are already friends, and romance is just friends with … Kissing? I guess? His brain tried to rationalize, but Katsuki shook his head, that didn't feel right- his emotions went deeper than just wanting to kiss her.
He genuinely… cared. Cared about her safety, cared about if she was happy, cared about wanting to make her happy, cared about keeping her safe, cared about keeping her his friend… He cared about a lot of things.
The sound of the bathroom door opening jolted him back to reality, Bakugo scowling and stepping away from the sink. He loved her … Genuinely loved her- … Why was that so freaking scary to come to terms with?
He wiped his hands clean again and combed one through his hair, forcing air down his lungs as his brain tried to make coherent thoughts.
His stomach ached as he realized he hadn't eaten anything since the night before, Katsuki quickly scooping up his backpack from the bathroom floor to head to lunch.
Kirishima was standing outside, leaning against the wall and biting his cheek in concern. He immediately pushed away from the brick as he saw Katsuki, falling into step beside him. The red head didn't say anything about the weird behavior, but the silence was almost more exhausting than listening to his endless jabbering.
“Shut up.” Katsuki grumbled as they walked, Kirishima raising a brow- “I didn't-!” He tried but Katsuki interrupted him. “You're thinking too hard, idiot. Let it go.”
“I… O-ok..” Kiri replied hesitantly with a soft sigh, shuffling his feet for a second.
The two made it to the lunch room in silence, Katsuki glancing to the left as he saw [Y/N] sitting at her usual table beside freaking half and half, a sight that usually made him so upset now just being a minor numbed annoyance.
He allowed Kirishima to guide him towards the line, sulking behind him as he examined the two. [Y/N]s hair was pulled up and away from her face, her beautiful eyes looking tired- or maybe that was just her talking to Todoroki who was almost always emotionless.
He glowered quietly, trying to distinguish what they could be talking about, shaking his head with a snort a moment later. Katsuki made to turn his attention back to the line, yet his eyes found themselves drawn back to [Y/N] as she sat up with a sigh.
She pulled her hair loose, combing it away from her face and holding a palm to her forehead as she fisted her [hair color] locks. A [eye color] eye cracked open, a faint grin touching her full lips as she replied to whatever IcyHot had said.
Why'd she have to be so freaking gorgeous.
His cheeks immediately reddened at the thought as he reprimanded himself, he shouldn't be focusing on things like that- he wasn't one of the freaking pervs like grape head … but it was hard not to when it was her.
It was unfair, really, how beautiful she was without realizing it- both inside and out. He growled at himself, thinning his lips as he tried again to pull his attention away.
The petals in his chest writhed like angry vines twisting around his lungs, wanting him to acknowledge his feelings. She was … Stunning. The way her hair fell, the muscles in her back, the way her figure curved so perfectly like it would fit in Katsukis arms if he could-
He stopped his thoughts there abruptly, huffing angrily and shaking his head. It was ridiculous, really- to think she could… They were just friends…
Him and Kirishima moved forward in the line, Katsuki losing sight of [Y/N] and staring at the floor. He wasn't good with emotions, with expressing himself, being soft-spoken, quiet, kind… None of the things [Y/N] probably wanted in a partner.
A hiss left his lips, under his breath but apparently loud enough for Eijirou to hear. He nudged him again. “Can I know what's going on now?”
Katsuki considered for a long moment, Kirishima was his friend- arguably his best friend besides [Y/N] … And maybe he knew more about this stupid lovey stuff than Katsuki did. “Let's get lunch and go to the roof… Then maybe.” Katsuki finally muttered.
Kiri pouted for a second before he huffed, grinning softly with a nod. “Alright. You ok? It sounds like you're dying.” He joked, nudging him with his shoulder. Katsuki only grunted unpleasantly, punching him lighting in the arm.
Eijiro looked like he wanted to say something more, but Katsuki simply pushed past him to get food.
The pill bottle was in his backpack if he needed it, he had taken one of the pain killer pills a few hours ago- and Recovery girl has said he could take two if needed … but Katsuki shook his head, he didn’t like the way the medication messed with his head.
It made him more confused, if anything. Katsuki shook his head in an attempt to clear it, taking his food and sliding a chip into his mouth. Kirishima nudged him, holding up his own food. “To the roof?” he asked, Katsuki grunting and beginning to walk that direction- hoping that [Y/N] wouldn’t be mad that he didn’t eat lunch with her.
Besides not quite knowing what in the world he would say- he didn't quite think being around her without meds was a smart idea.. he didn't know what the flowers would do. He closed his eyes, sighing softly. Didn't change the fact that he was fully, hyper aware of where she was in the room and how far away he was moving.
“Dude … what’s going on?” Kirishima asked in genuine concern as they moved into the stairwell. Katsuki grunted again, simply trudging up the stairs.
“I'm sick, g*dd*mnit.” He grumbled. Kirishima’s eyes widened in surprise, “You’re what?” he said in quiet shock. Katsuki curled his lip, shooting him an annoyed look- the ever constant pain making him cranky.
“Sick. What- you deaf?” He growled, shoving his shoulder against the door to take them outside. Kirishima gave some sort of stumbled yelp as he followed after him, “Sick with what?! It’s not serious is it?” he asked nervously.
Katsuki huffed, plopping himself down against the wall roughly. “Well I would say puking out flowers along with every other internal organ I have is at least annoying.” He snapped sarcastically. Kirishima’s crimson eyes widened in confusion. “You’re puking up what?” he asked, clarifying. Katsuki gave him a flat look, shoving a bite of food into his mouth before answering- already feeling somewhat better with the sustenance.
“I have Hanahaki, you dunce.” He mumbled. Kirishima’s eyes widened, “Oh … oh shoot.” he muttered quietly, “I didn’t think that was a real thing people actually got!” he said in shock. “What’re you gonna do about it?” he asked quietly.
Katsuki grunted as he continued eating, silently pondering how large the rock he’d apparently lived under had to be to not know what this was at the start.
“Don't know. But I ain't planning on surgery.” He murmured, uncharacteristically quiet.
Kirishima nodded, “I’ve heard the surgery is living hell …” he said, eating a bite of his food as well. “Do you know who … uhh-” he asked.
Katsuki nodded, ignoring the faintest tint of pink on his cheeks as he shoved more food in his mouth. Kirishima stayed anxiously silent for a bit before Katsuki finally found himself spitting it out, as if a part of him desperately wanted someone to confide in.
“ It’s [Y/N].” he spat after a moment. His friends blinked in startlement, sitting back for a moment before a smile split his face and he slugged his arm “Well no duh.”he joked lightly. Katsuki scoffed, “Don’t act so happy about it- … I don’t know what I’m going to do about it.” he grumbled, coughing slightly and taking a deep drink of water.
Kirishima tilted his head, propping a knee up as he leaned back against the wall. “Well, why not confess?” Katsuki turned to him with an incredulously raised brow, “Are you kidding me? And risk freaking her out and losing her friendship? No way- took way too long to earn that already.” he grumbled angrily.
Kiri shrugged. “Well you don't know that, and it doesn't have to be a big deal, you can still be friends if she says no, right?”
Katsuki shook his head, “Recovery girl doesn’t think so. She said if she doesn’t return my feelings the flowers will just keep growing.” he said, his face an angry grimace.
Eijiro furrowed his brow, biting his lip as he slowly came to the realization as to what that meant. “Oh..” Katsuki nodded, “It’s s***” he muttered, setting down his half eaten food.
He propped his knees up and draped his arms over them, ducking his head as he went silent.
“Well…” Kiri murmured quietly. “I think your best option right now is to tell her.. and we'll figure it out from there..” A growl left Katsuki’s throat as he shook his head, “You don’t get it!” he exclaimed, “It’s not as easy as just telling her-” he yelled before a rough round of coughing interrupted him, Katsuki gasping in pain.
Kirishima immediately moved to help him, Katsuki swatting him off at first until another hacking cough shook his body.
“...Well then.. Could you explain it to me?” Eijiro replied after Katsuki caught his breath.
Katsuki’s shoulders shook as he felt like he was having to break through the wall that his small dose of medication had put up in order to accurately capture his feelings.
“I just-” he coughed again, the flowers seeming to know what was on his mind. Kirishima waited patiently, rubbing his back. Katsuki growled, pushing Kirishima’s hand away. “I don’t have time for this!” he finally managed, “I’m not ready for this. I’m trying to stay on top of school, and training, and hero work. I can’t give her a decent relationship, I don’t have the time or the emotional space to give her what she deserves.” he stuttered, finally feeling like he was scraping the top of the truth.
A gentle laugh from Kirishima surprised him. “I think if you're already in the mindset of making sure she has ‘What she deserves’ proves that you already have the emotional state..” Katsuki growled, “No- you don’t get it.” he argued, the flowers in his chest squirming- “I’m not- … I wouldn’t be- …” he growled, heaving a sigh.
“If she accepts my feelings then she’ll expect us to start dating, spending time together, I’ll have to worry about her emotions and she’ll have to worry about mine. She won’t just want a highschool romance she’ll want a real meaningful relationship- and neither of us are ready to hold up that responsibility with all the other crap we’re dealing with.” heword vomited. “I … I’m not ready for that responsibility.” he finally forced himself to admit.
Kirishima smiled ruefully, tilting his head as he set it on his knee. “But you can’t make that call for her, you don’t know what she’ll decide, not really. And that’s the entire point of talking to her, so you can figure it out between the two of you.”
Katsuki went silent at his friends annoyingly rational thinking … “It still just feels like a bunch of bull crap…” he muttered. Kiri snorted with a roll of his eyes. “Then I don’t know what else to tell you, man.”
The food on his plate had gotten cold by now, Katsuki glowering down at it as he tried to process … he knew Kirishima was right- he had no right to try to read [Y/N]’s mind or what she wanted versus what he thought she deserved … all he could tell her was the truth.
He growled a huffy breath, ducking his head in frustration with a sigh.

Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader Part Two
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing: Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters
“I’m what?” Katsuki demanded with a growl, holding a handful of crumpled peony petals.
“In love dear.” Recovery girl said politely as if it was a very simple thing. He curled his lip at her, wondering if the old woman had finally gone senile. “How does that- what- what does that have to do with anything?!” he demanded, “I’m freaking coughing up plants! No love involved.” he said angrily before being interrupted by another cough.
Recovery girl walked to her desk, and up onto a step ladder, taking down a very old looking book. “It’s called Hanahaki, a bit of an older disease, with only a few recorded cases every year, but it’s a disease born out of unrequited and unexplored emotions.” she said, stepping back down the step ladder and walking to Katsuki.
Katsuki huffed as he crossed his arms, glaring at her and still thinking she was rather crazy... Despite her pointed jab at how his brain usually handled emotions as almost all of his emotions were either unexplored or unrequited. Recovery girl sighed as she opened the book and handed it to him. “Sadly there is very little cure for it.”
The page was open to a diagram of the human body, long paragraphs of explanation on either side of the human form that had flowers twisting from the base of his lungs up through his throat … the image was unpleasant to say the least.
He grunted trying not to show the small amount of fear that had entered him as he realized the magnitude of his apparent sickness.. “Well how do I fix it, then?”
Recovery girl nodded quietly, “Well there is a surgery- a way to get rid of the flowers permanently, but it is very invasive and comes with its own risks.” she said morosely.”It involves open heart and lung surgery and even then the results are not always conclusive, if not done correctly the flowers could come back.” she explained.
“Then there’s medication- a way to slowly poison the flowers and dampen their growth, through small doses. Or there is the easiest way- you can confess your feelings to the one you love and hope they return your admiration.” she suggested. “This dampens the unresolved feelings and the flowers then die on their own.” she told him logically.
Katsuki grunted. “ ‘Hope’? What happens if they don’t?” he demanded, a blush rising to his cheeks, “Don’t return your crappy feelings or whatever, I mean …” he clarified.
Recovery girl frowned, “Then nothing. The flowers keep growing through the painful emotions of rejection.” she explained sadly.
Katsuki felt the flower stems in his chest twist viciously at that thought, Katsuki thinning his lips and snarling quietly, that option didn’t sound worth the risk at all. “Then how soon can I get the d*mned surgery?”
Recovery girl frowned, “Well … if that is what you choose we can get it scheduled as soon as possible, but the flowers won't be the only thing you lose Bakugo.” she told him seriously. Katsuki arched a brow at her vague nature, huffing and choking back another cough. “What?”
“Your emotions for the person you have feelings for would all be gone. Good, bad, indifferent- you wouldn’t feel anything towards them anymore.” she expressed.”It is not a decision to be made lightly- it is something that will greatly affect your relationship with the person forever.”
The words made Katsuki pause, his jaw tightening. “S-so?” he tried. “We develop our own emotions in our freaking brain- that doesn’t have anything to do with the sh*tty flowers...” he tried to defend- so what if the surgery got rid of his emotions? Who needed them anyway- there were more important things to be concerned about, and it wasn’t like they couldn’t still be friends.
“ I wish that was the case Bakugo- …” Recovery girl said sadly “But the medical side of it hasn’t all been figured out yet. There’s so few cases every year and even then even fewer people choose to actually go through with the surgery. Some people even believe it to be the side effect of someone’s quirk that has just gotten passed down long long ago, in which case there wouldn’t even really be a scientific explanation.” she told him, “But either way- past cases show that there is a one-hundred percent rate of people losing their emotions for the person.”
He thinned his lips, his scowl falling as he leaned back against the wall. “Oh..” he said thoughtfully ...
Recovery girl nodded, “Do you have any idea of who the flowers may be for dear? Confessing really is the least painful and easiest of the options in most cases.” Katsuki’s crossed arms tightened, biting his cheek as they flushed a dull pink. “Yeah… I think.”
Recovery girl raised a brow as if asking him to acknowledge it out loud. He narrowed his eyes at her as his lips twisted, huffing and looking away. Recovery girl sighed, tilting her head. “Do I have to start naming off your classmates? At least I assume it is one of them that you have developed feelings for”
Katsuki cursed quietly with a snarl. “No.” He said angrily- “why do I even have to tell you?!” he demanded even though he knew it was illogical. Recovery girl made a sound that could have been a laugh. “Only if you wish to live, deary. Now, let’s see.” she replied, shifting through a drawer and pulling out a small stack of folders, Katsuki’s eyes widened in embarrassment.
She flipped through them. “Not miss Ashido or Kaminari I’m presuming?”
“Stop!” Katsuki exclaimed, already turning a light red- “Like I would ever fall for those two extra’s-!” he exclaimed. She nodded. “Neither Sero I’m going to assume.” she inferred, Katsuki growling out another embarrassed ‘no!’ Recovery girl flipped through to another file, looking back up at him. “Mr. Kirishima is a fair guess, seeing as you two are rather close as well have experienced some considerable trauma together.”
Katsuki bristled at the fact that he and Kirishima would ever be anything more than best friends. “N-no! Okay! It’s a girl! For crying out loud-” he muttered angrily- feeling the flowers in his chest quiver and shake from his embarrassment, making him cough again.
Recovery Girl chuckled quietly with a nod, flipping the folder again and looking back up at him. “So that leaves Miss. [L/N].”
Katsuki blushed red at the sound of her name … he had known that he was falling in love with her for nearly the past year, even if he hadn’t recognized it as love at first- and now it seemed that his body was finally forcing him to admit it, another painful cough reminding him of the physical turmoil that now went along with the emotional one.
Recovery girl nodded, handing him a rag as Katsuki coughed out another peony. “Seems like we’ve found our culprit then.”
Katsuki cursed, staring at the flower in his hands. “Well what the he** am I supposed to do about it!?” he demanded emotionally, “I can’t just confess to her after everything that’s been going on!” he growled without meaning to- hating that his fear of this sickness was making him lose control of his emotions like this.
Recovery Girl tilted her head. “Everything?” she prompted.
Katsuki growled, “I don’t have to explain anything to you.” he defended even though he knew it was unreasonable- his body telling himself through another aggressive stabbing feeling in his lungs. Recovery Girl frowned quietly in concern. “If you wish not to suffocate, it might be best to.” she soothed. “I am honestly just trying to help.” she reminded
Katsuki growled looking to the ground, his eyes watering from the lack of air- totally not from the wave of emotion crashing over him as he realized again that he was in love. He coughed violently again, Recovery girl mixing some sort of medicine in a glass of water before handing it to him and pressing a healing kiss to his cheek.
Katsuki took the medicine with a growl, downing it in one gulp and finally feeling a bit of relief … pausing for a second before glancing between her and the glass.
“What does the medication do?” he asked hesitantly, avoiding her last question. Recovery Girl set her hands on her knees as she sat back down. “The medication is supposed to slow down the effects by numbing your emotions for the individual. It will allow you to continue on with your normal activities while stunting the flowers' growth.”
Katsuki considered this thoughtfully for a bit … “So I’ll … still have feelings for her- they’ll just be dulled? And the flowers will die.” he recapped. Recovery girl sighed. “Possibly, or at least stave off the effects for a decent enough period until you either tell her or have the surgery. It’s a slim chance of a complete recovery, is what I’m saying.” she explained
Katsuki considered this for a moment, the medication wasn’t a permanent solution- but the idea of getting surgery to have the flowers removed made his heart ache in his chest … he just couldn’t bring himself to risk losing [Y/N]’s friendship like that.
He sighed, ducking his head and rubbing his eyes in frustration as he thought- overworking his brain and only interrupted by a loud commotion drifting into the room from the end of the hallway.
Recovery girl looked in that direction quickly before turning back to Katsuki with a calm smile on her face. “It sounds like someone else may need my help.” she said easily, “I can give you something to help you sleep and you can stay in the other room for tonight until you make your decision.” she offered. “I’ve already healed any of the serious internal bleeding caused by the flowers.” she told him.
Katsuki grunted, not liking to be rushed- but knowing he would need the length of the night at least to sort things out “Whatever.” he grumbled in agreement.
Recovery girl nodded, moving to her desk as Katsuki pulled himself to his feet, his mind swimming in thoughts.
His train of thought was broken by the sound of voices. “Recovery girl?!” he heard who he recognized to be Uraraka call out, the other voice with her coughing violently. The old woman looked outside the door in concern, handing him two small, white pills and shooing him into the other room.
He didn’t give pink cheeks much thought as he stepped into the next room, closing the door behind him and falling down onto the hospital bed with a heavy sigh. He had important things to think about.
The pills tasted bitter as he popped them into his mouth, Katsuki pulling himself up to sit as he downed them with the rest of the medicated water. After a few minutes longer, he heard a quiet tap at his door, Recovery Girl stepping inside.
“I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to move you to a better suited spot, would you come with me?” she asked quietly, something in her tone cooling his annoyance before it had a chance to start.
Katsuki nodded, standing up to follow Recovery girl to another room, already feeling the pain in his throat begin to numb. He rubbed his throat, too lost in thought to notice the peachy-orange petal that stuck to the bottom of his shoe as he walked past.
…
“That should help the pain deary, and as you don’t want surgery or medication I can’t do much else for you.” Recover girl said as she handed [Y/N] a glass of water having just explained the full effects of what she was going through and her options for recovery. [Y/N] gave the old woman a thankful smile as her throat was too raw to actually form more words, wiping the tears from her eyes as she sipped from the cup.
“Do you know who could be causing you the flowers sweetheart? Sometimes the type of flower can help you figure it out.” she said helpfully. [Y/N] shook her head. “I.. I don’t know.” she murmured helplessly, setting down the empty cup to look down at the large flower head sitting innocently in her lap. Recovery girl nodded, “What don’t you know?” she prompted.
“I don’t… I don’t know how to determine- I’ve- … never done this before…”she said weakly. Recovery girl nodded, “Everyone has their first love at some point.” she said, “and nobody knows what they’re doing.” she said with a kind smile. “Did you ever have a crush when you were a child- someone who you just wanted to be around all the time or who you wanted to notice you?”
[Y/N] bit her lip, fumbling her hands together as she thought. “I… I had.. One friend.. Once- but I don’t think it was… love- w-well- maybe? I don’t really..know? ..um..” she stammered, her mind racing. “We were pretty young… and he ended up moving…” she said quietly.
Recovery girl nodded, “See, love wasn’t something you could explain back then. You were children.” she said kindly, “But that didn’t make that feeling of friendship and happiness any less real. And maybe given time you would have developed a relationship that would’ve lead to love. Like you potentially have now with someone.”
[Y/N] furrowed her brow. “B-but… I.. I don’t know how to distinguish romantic love from what’s maybe platonic love..?” she tried, biting her lip in shame at how juvenile that sounded.
Recovery girl nodded again, “Well that’s different for every person. Some people are comfortable spending lots of time and energy with and even being physically affectionate with close friends. While others reserve that right for someone they feel romantic attraction to.`` She tried her best to explain. “Can you think of any of your friends that you may be more likely to feel close to in a physical or emotional way than some of your other friends?” she asked.
[Y/N] chewed the inside of her cheek as she thought. “W-well.. I don’t know- I’m affectionate with Shoto and Kiri and sometimes Momo or Ochako or Deku or-...” [Y/N] paused, biting her tongue as she felt a flush of hot, flustered embarrassment fill her chest as she found she didn’t quite want to admit-
She sat straighter, her brain clicking as she looked wide-eyed at the old woman. “O-oh!” she exclaimed, her cheeks growing hotter. “I-is that what that feels like??!”
Recovery girl let out a small laugh, “Yes- I think so darling …” she said with a kind smile, “It’s different for everyone- no one right way to explain it.” [Y/N] blinked quickly, combing her hair away from her face and taking a shuddered breath. “O-oh..”
Recovery girl nodded softly, “Do you know who might be causing you the flowers now love?” she asked kindly, [Y/N] blushing softly. “I … I think so.” she nodded quietly. Recovery Girl tilted her head. “Do you think you could tell me?” she asked calmingly.
[Y/N] bit her lip, looking down at the flower in her lap, touching the petals quietly. “Um…”
“I- … I think- ... “ she felt tears sting at the back of her eyes- feeling stupid for crying over something so silly. “I think I’m in love with Bakugo.” she whispered, keeping her eyes on the flower in front of her. Recovery Girl was quiet for a moment or two. “You’re sure?”
[Y/N] sniffed softly, “No- but that's the only person I can think of!” she said desperately, coughing again. Recovery Girl nodded. “Well I would hope so.” she murmured, [Y/N] looking up in curious confusion.
Recovery girl only smiled kindly, taking another cup and filling it with water for her again while handing her a tissue. “Well then you know what you have to do to get rid of the flowers.” she said simply. [Y/N] nodded quietly, rubbing her face softly.
Recovery Girl hesitated for a moment. “For right now, however… I’m going to give you some of the medication- roses are… rather hazardous- the thorns have already done double the damage in just a day than one would normally experience in such a short time.. I don’t want it to get worse..”
[Y/N] sniffed, “Okay.” She agreed logically, already wondering how in the world she was supposed to confess to Katsuki freaking Bakugo.

Hanahaki Bakugo X FemReader
Writers: Jac and Zeptikye Warnings: Mentions of blood, sickness, and medication Pairing: Bakugo X Female Character All Chapters
[Y/N] coughed again, trying to get the tickle out of her lungs that had persisted for nearly the past twelve hours annoyingly. She cleared her throat with a grimace, wrinkling her nose as she tried again to refocus. “[Y/N] you okay? You sound sick” Jirou observed from beside her on the couch.
[Y/N] gave a reassuring smile, shaking her head and holding her hands up in a retreating gesture. “No, I'm fine- I guess my throat is just dry.” Jirou raised a brow but nodded anyway, going back to her homework.
[Y/N] cleared her throat again, frowning in annoyance and choosing to take a small break from her work as she couldn't pay attention anyway.
She examined the common room and whoever was in it while she let her mind run in the background, trying to think of anything she'd done to get herself sick. She coughed again violently with a grimace, setting down her books to go to the kitchen for water, wondering if this was worth bothering Recovery girl for.
[Y/N] leaned her hands against the sink as another hacking cough shook her frame, groaning softly as she filled up a cup.
She glanced at the clock as she took a deep breath and a long drink of water- it was almost eight …maybe she should just head to bed. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she rubbed an eye, setting down the glass. She cleared her throat, thinning her lips quietly in pain. This was hurting her already and giving her back unpleasant memories in consequence.
She grimaced with a shake of her head, going back to the living room and scooping up her books. “I'm think I'm gonna head up for tonight guys.” She said quietly.
The others looked up in slight surprise. “Already? It's not even eight yet.” Mina retaliated in puzzlement. [Y/N] nodded with a weak smile, “yeah- I'm just not feeling that great.” She said softly. The other girl frowned. “Ah I'm sorry, do you need anything?”
[Y/N] shook her head quickly, “no it's just a cough” she reassured with a small smile, “thanks though.” Mina frowned, Yaoyorozu cutting in. “If you're sure, but would you at least like some tea or medicine?” She kindly offered.
[Y/N] smiled softly, shaking her head. “I'll be fine, thank you though.” She replied politely.
Yaoyorozu nodded, “alright- well text if you need anything k?” She said with a kind smile, [Y/N] nodding. She waved them goodbye as she moved down the hall to the elevator, biting her cheek to keep from coughing again.
She grimaced as she felt her lungs sting, like they were being poked at from the inside. [Y/N] leaned back against the elevator with her books clutched to her chest, her lips thinning in thought. This didn't feel like anything she'd experienced before…
…
Katsuki rolled over in bed with a growl, completely unable to fall asleep. He growled softly, pressing his palms to his eyes in frustration.his lungs were burning in his chest, like the pain in his palms was suddenly inside his body- small explosions going off from the inside.
“The h*ll?” He grumbled, sitting up and clutching his chest. The motion of sitting up nearly made him vomit, Katsuki choking back a cough, feeling his skin go clammy. He hissed as he held his head, squeezing his palms to his temples and gritting his teeth.
He had to lower his hands again as he realized his quirk might set itself off with the pain, groaning angrily as he ducked his head to his knees.
He heaved a scattered breath, trying to gain a little air before coughing again and reaching for his water bottle. “The frick?” He grumbled. Katsuki downed half the thing in one go, clenching his teeth as he realized he was still fighting for air.
“Shoot shoot shoot-” Katsuki cursed as he forced himself to stand up, moving to his bathroom quickly. He tried to force deep breaths down his throat, but his lungs felt like they were full of cotton, not letting up even as he hacked out a cough.
He felt his head getting dizzy- falling to his knees in front of the toilet, just praying he didn't pass out. He felt his stomach heave, Katsuki yelping in pain as his body tried to rid itself of the discomfort by choosing to empty out his insides.
Katsuki panted, coughing violently and spitting to get rid of his saliva. He rubbed the corner of his mouth clean, bringing his hand down again to see it smeared with blood and… a petal? He glanced down, finding the inside of the toilet the same deep red- the whole flower head of a blood-spattered, white Peony in the center.
Katsukis eyes widened in alarm. “What the actual frick-” he swore in confusion and shock, wondering if he was hallucinating. His brows furrowed as he stared at the innocent looking flower for a moment or two, his breath shallow and quick now that his throat wasn’t blocked.
His hand slowly reached for the flower, shaking from just having puked out the thing and picked it up delicately.
It was completely intact, spattered with his own blood from having just coughed it out of his lung … “what the actual f***?” Katsuki muttered in concern.
He needed to go to Recovery girl- right now, he didn't know alot about being sick but he absolutely knew you weren't supposed to puke flowers. Katsuki groaned painfully as he tried to heave himself to his feet, pausing to make sure he wouldn't spill out any more of his insides.
He stabilized one of his hands on the counter, taking a deep breath and coughing slightly again before being able to walk back into his room. He combed through his hair in concern, pausing enough to get shoes on before moving down the hall as quick as his dizzy head would allow.
…
[Y/N] choked back another cough as she rolled onto her stomach, grimacing in pain. She pushed her hair away from her face, her jaw tight and her throat feeling like it was on fire. What happened- was she actually getting sick?
She was hardly ever sick- between all the training, healthy eating and just pure stubbornness it had been years since she had gotten as much as a cold.
[Y/N] furrowed her brows, rolling to her side and curling her knees to her aching chest. She felt her chest spasm again as she let out another cough- wondering if she could make it until morning to see recovery girl. She shook her head with a huff, pulling herself up to get some medicine from her bathroom.
The action of standing up made her head pound, the lack of air getting to her chest startling. [Y/N] groaning, holding her breath in her lungs in order to try and expand them, her hands fumbling through her cabinet.
She finally got her hands on a bottle of cough medicine a few moments later, another cough racking her body as she bent over the sink. [Y/N] breathed fast and shallow, swallowing forcibly as she managed to get the medicine in her mouth.
She gasped in pain as she yelped slightly, something making its way up her throat and into the sink. She coughed violently, the hacking heaves shaking her entire body and taking her to the floor.
Her throat felt like they were threading a band through it, superheated and smoldering and stabbing through her from the inside out.
This wasn't okay- something was seriously wrong. She took a few moments on the floor before heaving herself to her feet painfully.
She fell back to her knees as her head spun, [Y/N] hitting the counter painfully on her way down- but not noticing as she was scrabbling desperately at her throat as it suffocated her.
She felt tears streaming down her face as she heard a knock on her bedroom door- “[Y/N]- is everything okay?” Uraraka's voice came from outside it.
[Y/N] tried to reply, her breath stifled and immediately taken over by another cough. “Can't… Breathe…!” She managed to get out through the mess, trying to pull herself up but her hand slipping from the counter as her palm was slick with blood, sending her crashing into the cabinet.
[Y/N] heard Uraraka yelp as she quickly came into her room. “Oh my gosh! What happened?!” She demanded as she quickly moved to the bathroom, kneeling down beside [Y/N].
Tears streamed freely down [Y/N]'s face as she shook her head in confusion, ducking her head as her throat tried to cough up her lungs.
Uraraka quickly scrambled for a rag, using it to wipe off [Y/N]’s face before grabbing a cup on the counter and filling it with water. “We need to get you to recovery girl! Coughing up blood is not a good thing! Your lung could be punctured!” She exclaimed as she knelt down next to her and helped her drink the water.
[Y/N] sniffled, blinking away her tears enough to see she'd splattered crimson red across the floor, hands, counter and sink, furrowing her brow as she caught sight of something other than blood.
“What in the world- …” [Y/N] muttered, barely gaining enough breath back to talk as she reached forward to pick something up.
Uraraka helped her continue to sit up right as her body was shaking violently, [Y/N] holding up a blood drenched, slightly ruffled rose.
Uraraka’s eyes widened in shock, “Is- … is that a flower- …?” she asked in quiet alarm. [Y/N] nodded mutely, her shocked eyes confused. Uraraka stared at it for a moment before biting her lip and turning back to [Y/N]- “Oh my gosh- [Y/N] that’s horrible I’m so sorry!” She said quickly, wrapping her arms around [Y/N] in a tight hug, [Y/N] startling in confusion.
“Wh-what?” She rasped.
Uraraka looked at her in shock, “[Y/N]! You’re coughing up roses- you have hanahaki.” she said as if she had just delivered the news that her friend had cancer or something.
[Y/N] furrowed her brow, pausing to cough up a few more bloodied petals before she rasped again. “Hana...what?”
Uraraka sighed sadly, leaning back from her. “You have flowers growing in your lungs …” She explained, “it- it means you're in love…” She said softly.
[Y/N] furrowed her brows, trying to decipher if she was joking. “That… Doesn't-” [Y/N] stopped abruptly as she began coughing again, nearly screaming as it felt like her throat was being torn to shreds.
Uraraka yelped, quickly trying to help- offering [Y/N] the blood stained rag again. “It’s true! I know it sounds silly but it’s a really rare disease- it can only be cured by surgery or by telling the person you have feelings for the truth.” she said with a frown.
[Y/N] furrowed her brow as she squinted at her, again trying to decipher if she was joking.
Uraraka frowned before quickly pulling out her phone, “here- here- look” she said quickly opening up YouTube. [Y/N] tried to pay attention, keeling over as she hacked up another rose and heaving deep breaths as she was finally able to breathe for a second.
A young man just a little older than her was in front of the camera, he seemed just as tired and exhausted as she was as he held up a crumpled sunflower. She glanced up at Uraraka, wiping a dribble of blood from her lips.
“Just keep watching- he explains it.” She said sadly. [Y/N] thinned her lips, brushing the bloody, yellowy-peach petals off her hands.
The video was a long one, but pretty early on [Y/N] realized that he was explaining every single one of her symptoms. She shook her head in confusion, her face confused and pained as the video finished and she looked back up at Ochako. “But- I don’t- I don’t get it- I- I don’t think I’m in love..”
Ochako frowned, “well … You must be, you're just not admitting your feelings.” [Y/N]’s brow furrowed. “But- who-” she coughed violently again, another circus rose leaving her lips.
Uraraka frowned… “Really..? … You can't think of who?” She asked as if it should be obvious. [Y/N] frowned, shrugging helplessly. “I don’t think of these things-”
Uraraka looked at her morosely, “[Y/N] … hon- If you don’t know I don’t feel like I should tell you. I don’t know what that will do to the flowers.” she said, biting her lip softly. [Y/N] bit her lip but nodded, knowing that was probably smart.
“Just uhm … think about- your friends. Your closest friends. Then think about if there’s anyone who you wish you were a bit closer with.” Uraraka said with a small sad smile, “And maybe … read some stuff on the internet.” she suggested- yelping as [Y/N] coughed again, Uraraka placing a hand on her back.
“For now, let’s get you to Recovery Girl..” she murmured, slinging [Y/N]’s arm over her shoulder to help her up, [Y/N] feeling her already light body lose its weight as Ochako used her quirk.
[Y/N] shook her head, “Not right now … I just want to sleep- plus it’s so late- we might as well wait till morning.” she said softly. Uraraka frowned and shook her head. “I don’t want you to suffocate in your sleep, it’s better this way.” she reassured gently.
[Y/N] wanted to argue but as another few petals came coughing up she finally acquiesced. Uraraka nodded, hefting her out of the dorms and moving as quick as the two girls could manage towards the school nurse.

Just like in UA [BakugoXFem!Reader]
Writing: Jac Pairing: Katsuki X Reader Warnings: none
Katsuki glanced over his shoulder as his lover stood in the doorway of the kitchen with a small smile on her face, clearly excited about something she was waiting to tell him. Katsuki raised a brow slowly as she bounced on the heals of her feet before he moved to turn the stove off. "Alright- what is it?" He asked, putting down the spatula and crossing his arms.
(Y/N) giggled, moving forward to kiss his cheek softly, "why does anything have to be up? Can't I just be happy to see you on a day off?" She asked, Katsuki huffing as he shifted out of her grip.
"Mmhm, sure- now tell me what's actually going on." He teased as (Y/N) glared at him for moving away. "Nooo- come back-" she whined teasingly as she reached for him, Katsuki once again avaiding her grip, "not until you tell me why you're smiling like an idiot!" He laughed as he moved around the table to block her.
"I'm not an idiot!" She teased right back, "just cuz you don't smile doesn't make the rest of us stupid!" She giggled, trying to chase him around the table as Katsuki laughed before twisting quickly to catch her in his arms, (Y/N) squeeling as he pressed a rough kiss to her temple.
(Y/N) laughed, slapping his arms as he spun her around, "come on- why are you being so smiley?" He asked gruffly, squeezing her tight before letting her go as (Y/N) rolled her eyes. "Alright, but you spoiled your own surprise!" She exclaimed, Katsuki smirking teasingly.
"I know we don't get days off alot, and usually we go out on dates ... But I couldn't find a babysitter for tonight and I thought we could just stay in, like we did in UA" She said happily, gesturing back to their bedroom before grabbing his hand and leading them that way.
Katsuki raised a brow in surprise, "we can't be too long, dinners not even done-" he said quickly but (Y/N) only brushed him off. "It won't take long, promise" she said with a smile, "I'm just gonna show you" she said as they stepped into their bedroom, Katsukis eyes quickly catching on their balcony.
The balcony was laid out with blankets and pillows, the TV from their bedroom pulled outside, the baby monitor set up next to it.
Katsuki smirked fondly as a smile slid over his face, wrapping an arm around (Y/N)’s waist happily. "You're an idiot. But a cute idiot." He said fondly, hiding his face in her hair.
(Y/N) smiled, wrapping her arms around him to hug him happily.
Katsuki squeezed back tenderly as he stroked a hand softly through her hair. "Thanks love- this looks great" he whispered fondly, (Y/N) smiling against his chest. "Let's go finish dinner then find something to watch!" She said excitedly, Bakugo scoffing fondly.
"Yeah. Alright" he said with a smile, capturing her lips in a kiss before going to do just that.

I’m lucky to have you [DekuXFem!Reader]
Writing: Jac Pairing: Izuku X Reader Warnings: None- just pure fluff
Izuku giggled as he brushed his hands through (Y/N)'s hair, toying and playing gently with the (H/C) strands as she sat in his lap, occasionally letting his hands skim down to her shoulders, or allowing himself to press soft loving kisses to the back of her neck.
"Deku!" (Y/N) exclaimed as he did just that, making her giggle and attempt to squirm out of his grasp. Izuku laughed easily, tightening his grip around her as he pressed another kiss to her neck.
"Deku we're in public!" (Y/N) giggled, gesturing around them to the common area, but Deku only rolled his eyes teasingly. "Aww- not really- everyone went to bed hours ago." he said honestly, combing through her hair again with one hand.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes but sighed softly at the feeling anyway, sinking back against his warm chest and curling herself close- honestly finding it hard to believe just how lucky she had gotten in gaining his love.
Izuku smiled as he tucked her close, brushing his fingertips up and down her arms and waist and legs.
".... how did I get so lucky as to have you?" he asked softly after a moment with a giggle, leaning his head on top of hers. (Y/N) scoffed slightly, thinking she should be the one to ask that question much rather than him.
"You just came by and dropped love into my heart." she whispered with a smile, "As if it was the easiest thing you had ever done ... and that's all I needed." she said sweetly, tilting her head back to kiss his lips gently.
Izuku accepted the gesture warmly, holding her jaw gently as he returned the kiss before pulling away, brushing their noses together. "That's only because falling in love with you was the easiest decision I ever made." he said sweetly in return before finding her lips again.

Stay with me please [Shoto X Fem!Reader]
Writing: Jac Paring: Shoto Todoroki X Reader Warnings: Mention of blood, Angst
---
Shoto took a shuddering breath in (Y/N)'s arms, the bitter cold air around them putting out any chance he would've had of lighting a fire even if he hadn't just been stabbed through the gut.
"Shoto- Please- you have to stay with me- please-" (Y/N) begged, her voice shaken and scared, a tone it usually didn't take on. Shoto only took another shuddering breath, gripping her tighter- he didn't want to leave her ... he really really didn't.
"I'm trying" he promised softly, coughing up a bit more blood, the color contrasting against the color of his suit. (Y/N) shook her head, very clearly just barely containing her tears. "I know- I know- don't talk-" she stuttered out, "I'm gonna protect you. You're gonna be alright. Recovery girl will heal you." she promised, pressing a shaky kiss to the top of his head.
Shoto sighed softly, leaning against her heavily, wanting to say so much to her- just in case- but he also knew he needed to preserve his energy.
(Y/N)'s eyes darted around frantically, searching for anything in the swirling snow, any sign of human life that might be coming to rescue them ... but there was nothing. Nothing but white, and cold, and the bitter smell of Shoto's blood all over both of them.
"(Y-Y/N-)" Shoto finally managed after a minute of silence, wanting to see her face again, wanting to calm her down. (Y/N)'s beautiful eyes turned quickly to his, "What?" she said urgently, gripping him a bit tighter.
Shoto lifted his hand up to her face gently, brushing away a strand of hair and leaving a streak of blood across her cheek. "Just hold me?" he requested weakly, "Keep me close ... until the end?" he breathed out through another cough of blood.
Tears poured down (Y/N)'s face as she let out a sob, "No- gosh please no-" she begged quietly, hugging him close to her chest, "Don't talk like that- you're going to be alright. I promise you'll be alright" she plead into his shoulder, Shoto squeezing her tightly and whispering gently in her ear.
"I love you" he managed before blacking out into oblivion

Stay Home Date [EijirouXFemReader]
Writing: Jac Pairing: Kirishima X Reader Warnings: None! Just fluff!
---
"Hey- did you ever decide if you wanted to go to that movie night thing the others are doing tonight?" Eijirou asked with a smile to his girlfriend, the two having just finished dinner at his apartment.
(Y/N) blushed softly with a small shake of her head, "I- I don't know Eiji- I'm not great with people and I ... I'd kinda rather just stay in with ... uhm ... with just you tonight." she mumbled embarrassed as she helped dry the dinner dishes.
Eijiro's eyes widened slightly in surprise "Oh! Well that's okay too- but it's really just our friends, it's not really 'other' people." he said, gently rubbing his hand across her back, playing with her hair. "But if you want to stay in tonight too I won't say no." he admitted with a giggle, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
(Y/N)'s cheeks dusted with a slight pink as she shook her head, putting the dishes away. "Wh-whatever, it's just ...- it's whatever, you can decide if we go." she said briskly, putting the last of the dishes on the drying rack.
Kirishima raised a brow, recognizing the tale tell signs of when (Y/N) wanted to say something sweet or romantic but her self consciousness was stopping her. He gave a small laugh, rubbing his hands up and down her sides, "Come on my love- what do you actually want to do tonight." he prompted gently with a smile.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes with a small scoff, "I told you it's whatever!" she tried to argue, but Eijiro only shook his head. "No- if it's whatever you would have said that from the very beginning. What's on your mind my queen." he prompted with another gentle kiss on her shoulder. (Y/N) growled gently, like an angry, aggressive kitten. "It's just ... you've been so busy lately, with the company and me with training, and both of us with other work and stuff that ... we haven't really had a night to just- sit in and chill out. Just talk or watch a movie or ... or stuff..." she admitted quietly, "I don't know ... it sound's dumb." she muttered quietly
Kirishima blinked a bit in surprise before smiling, “That doesn’t sound dumb at all babe.” he reassured quickly, wrapping her tightly in his arms from behind. “It sounds like a good date.” he teased with a giggle as (Y/N) tried to shove him off. “Not a date stupid!” she growled, “Dates are supposed to be planned and fancy or whatever-” she said with a blush as Eijiro laughed easily. “Not necessarily!” he defended, keeping his arms wrapped tightly around her. “Sometimes the best dates are just sitting at home- eaint popcorn and snacks and falling asleep in each other’s arms.” he said sweetly, (Y/N) rolling her eyes as she finally gave up and twisted around to hug him back.
“Oh whatever- you don’t have to sound so sappy about it moron.” she said fondly, scratching his back softly and lovingly. Kirishima smiled again, melting into her touch. “Well either way- I think it sounds like a great idea of something to do tonight.” he offered, (Y/N) nodding softly, Eijiro not missing the small smile on her warm lips.

It’ll be okay
Writing: Jac and Zeptikye Pairing: Bakugo X Reader Warnings: ANGST Request: [Hello! I saw requests are open and my brain sparked with an idea. I was wondering if you could maybe write something where Bakugou's s/o gets blinded in a fight and his reaction and how he cares for them, please? Like angst with a smidgen of fluff? Thanks~]
---
(Y/N) felt as if her entire body was being crushed under an unknowable amount of weight, she couldn’t open her eyes- or maybe they were open and she just couldn’t see … she could tell.
Her throat felt like it was on fire, every particle of air raking at it with vicious ferocity. Breathing felt like a trap.. consciousness felt like hell.
Her nose was burning from the smell of sterile chemicals searing at her senses, her skin feeling violated and raked across. It was nothing compared to the pure agony emitting from her insides.
(Y/N) opening her mouth in a silent scream, incapable of noise through the pain.
The world around her was dark, and she could hear her heartbeat in her ears, letting the gentle reassuring sound calm her down as she tried to take her mind off the pain she felt throughout her body.
She grit her teeth, her fingers twitching as she tried to pull them into a fist. Her eyelashes fluttered and her breathing shallowed as the feeling of needles stuck all over her body sent her into a panic.
“(Y/N)- (Y/N) you need to calm down, it’s going to be okay” A gruff but soft voice sounded next to her, pulling her out of the seemingly empty void she thought she was trapped in.
She tilted her head towards the voice, fumbling in the dark for any sort of comfort she could find. Her eyes felt like an entire gallon of embers had been cast into them, catching fire again once they'd made contact.
"K-katsuki?" She rasped, her voice barely more than a whisper. "Wh-where… where…"
“Hey- you’re alright. You’re in the hospital okay…” he said quietly under his breath. She creased her brows, shaking hard as she raised up a tentative, lost hand within the dark. The open air was more terrifying than any obstacle she'd ever faced- reaching into the black abyss without knowing if it had direction or end. "Where…Are you?" She whispered under her breath, a hair away from being counted as a thought.
She felt the warm and reassuring grip of her boyfriend in the darkness, “I’m right here- we’re both safe … you’re eyes are just a bit damaged.” he said softly, clearly trying very hard to keep in his usual blunt and forceful personality for her sake.
(Y/N) felt an irrational panic well up in her chest, the pain and the medication making her delirious. "I- I can't see you… I- I can't see anything." She whimpered in a choked, quiet cry. Bakugo’s hand gently squeezed her’s in the darkness, his rough calloused fingertips gently moving up and down hers.
“I know … I know- but I’m right here I promise.” he said softly. Tears welled up in her burning eyes, trying their best to extinguish the blaze.
"What's wrong with me?" She whimpered, her voice cracking as she repeated the words in an endless loop and her eyes leaking hot tears. Katsuki squeezed her hand again, “Recovery girl can tell you later- right now I’m just happy you’re alive…” he whispered seriously, “Just- … you’re gonna be okay alright? I promise. I won't let anything happen to you.”
(Y/N) sniffled, raising her free and trembling hands up to her broken eyes, holding it over her face in a silent attempt to hide. A slow, unsure nod was all she was capable of. Bakugo squeezed her hand again, “I’m gonna climb into bed beside you.” he informed as a warning before his body shifted to be closer to her.
She nodded weakly again, barely forcing herself to move in order to make room for him. Her mind was recoiling within the shock, her entire body feeling numb and limp… And useless.
“Gonna be okay” Bakugo reassured quietly as he wrapped his strong arms around her comfortingly. She curled into his touch, shivering as she gently clutched at his shirt. She bit her lip before she gave a soft whine of pain, burying her face in his chest.
Bakugo held her close, squeezing her comfortably tight and petting through her hair as he whispered reassurances.
She trembled as she clung to him, her teeth clenched and her clouded eyes staring pointlessly into the inky black. “You rushed in to save me … we both blacked out and woke up here- it’s been a few days but my injuries weren’t as bad as yours.” Bakugo explained softly, concise and to the point.
She nodded mutely, trying to think back to anything before the hospital bed. Bakugo continued to pet through her hair gently, trying his best to calm her down. “Don’t strain too hard or the doctors won’t let me see you. Just relax.” he tried to instruct.
(Y/N) forced out a sigh, gently closing her eyes and slumping against his muscular and safe frame. Katsuki pulled her close in the darkness, wrapping himself around her and doing his best to comfort her. “Hey … it’s gonna be okay.” he whispered.
He was only repeating an endless loop of half-hearted hopes… but he was trying. Coming from him that was more than enough. (Y/N) nodded stiffly, tucking herself closer with tears dying in her lifeless eyes. Bakugo rubbed her back, at a loss for what to say, and she didn’t blame him … she didn’t know what to say either- what this was going to mean for her if she never healed … what it was going to mean for them.
"Hey," he grunted, setting his hand behind her head to pull her closer. "We're going to make it okay."

Sacrifice- BakugoXfem!reader
Writing: Zeptikye Pairing: Bakugo X Reader Warning: Blood, Censored swearing,Angst but with a happy ending
Katsuki growled even as he coughed, hunched over on his knees and spattering the pavement with a deep crimson red for every exhale. He snarled a groan, stumbling back onto all fours and he tried to force himself up.
The stupid, insufferable bas*** of a villain cackled at his pain, a maniacally smug smile stuck on his face. Bakugo wanted to slit his throat in that moment.
The young man sneered at him, raising a thieving hand crackling with a fiery energy- his stupid copying quirk having amplified Katsuki's.
"Say goodnight." He hissed with a giggle, Katsuki forcing himself into a crouch and frantically trying to move out of the way.
A dart of movement in the corner of his eye, catching his attention in horror. The sensation washed through his body as he could already piece together every terrible sequence of events playing out in front of him.
Bakugo further forced himself to try and get up. If he could just get up she wouldn't- it wouldn't-
Katsuki cried out in pain as he fell again, risking a glance over at the boy threatening to kill him- who was in the midst of charging up a massive fireball.
He couldn't get up.
A surge of panic coursed through his chest, looking over to where (y/n) was still racing towards him with a frantic determination in her eyes.
"(Y/N) NO!" he screamed, still trying to drag himself forward. She didn't listen. Of course she didn't.
Less than a second later Katsuki felt himself being wrapped in her embrace, her arms curling around him as she used herself as a shield.
A blinding, burning flash of white engulfed them, Katsuki yelping as he felt it wash over them. His own voice was frowned by the scream of absolute agony next to him, and he felt something new stab his chest.
Fear. Pure and genuine terror.
A cry of fury and pain escaped his lips as he felt himself slip- her hold on him vanishing as he was blasted backwards. Katsuki hit the side of a building hard- every nerve in his body screaming at him.
As he slumped the sky finally dimmed; smoke, dust and destruction filling the air as heavily as the dead of night. Katsuki could feel the comforting black creeping up from the backs of his skull to crawl across the corners of his vision.
One of the last sights he took in was when the ash cleared enough to reveal her; a body, limp and collapsed on the ground like a lifeless marionette, her hand extended towards him as though she'd been trying to catch his broken body as he was ripped away.
Katsuki felt blood flowing from his mouth and nose, the back of his head sticky with it as well. "(Y/...n).." he choked out, his lips chalky with dust and his body far too exhausted to move… yet his stubbornness was not a force to be tried.
He flopped forward onto the ground with a strained grunt, heaving himself forward. Katsuki hissed, his body feeling like it was submerged in flames, yet he crawled towards her anyway.
Katsuki stretched out a hand, his entire arm trembling violently with the effort. His fingers fought their way upwards, finally dropping themselves with relief as he reached his goal. He tried to curl his fingertips over hers, clutching her hand as hard as he was able.
The groud sank closer in his vision, the black further draping over him entirely. Bakugo only gave in when he felt her fingers clutch his in return.
