Im watching a video of DID (i just like to watch informative videos) and hes talking about 'cores' and 'only being normal if you have 10-15 alters' and 'it usually only happens to women' wich is upsetting. Hes also saying that theres another case of DID that is just so unreal sounding. Like he basically said imposter syndrome but as if it was DID. And he was kinda just talking about DID as if its fake and not real. Idk i stopped watching bc i like to be happy

can we call introjects that have the same source "source twins" instead of calling them "doubles"

idk i feel like saying "omg we're source twinning!" is so much more respectful to someones individuality than saying "omg youre a double!"

it helps steer away from the idea that introjects are "copies" of each other, and it helps give introjects their own sense of self that isnt 100% tied to their source

id love to hear other peoples thoughts on this term concept ^^

Casual reminder that the following things are considered traumatic to small children

- neglect (physical and/or emotional)

- living in an emotionally unstable environment (for example, having parents that fight often)

- any kind of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse (not just from parents)

- consistent bullying

- etc

Remember that what is traumatic to a child is not the same as what is traumatic to you now. So think again before saying your trauma ‘isn’t bad enough’

Someone fronted in math class today (idk if it was Wyatt,Sima, or Atsumu) and they just started to do the work. Like very well too. I do think it’s kinda funny thought that the first thing they did was look that the worksheet look at my friend and say “so what are we doing?” And she didn’t even question it she just explained what we were doing and acting like I wasn’t just doing it 5mins ago.

"most splits happen in childhood, you couldn't realistically have [x] fictive-" alright. Aside from this not inherently being fully true, you have to understand most of the people this is said about ARE minors and children. Splits happen under stress and trauma. A good chunk of the time (not always), a system's parent's are the cause of their trauma and guess what. Children live with their parents. Until they are 18 in a lot of cases. So these kids with all these fictives from new media? This is their childhood media. I need you to understand that. All of that aside, it is not your business how or why a system splits and who. Mind your own and be respectful. Now that that's been said, I love you all, go be nice, go be normal and have a lovely day.

Watching Inside out 2 and omg how much it reminds me of being a system. Like anxiety would be a persecutor, Anger would be a protector same with fear, Joy is co-host, Nostalgia is dormant, and Riley is host. It’s all just a big system and I really like it. It makes us feel like normal-ish

I never noticed how I over shared before someone in my system told me. Cus like i only overshare trauma or things that Interest me. Like if someone asked me if the book I read was good I’ll go into a summary of the book or I’ll spoil the ending. I really don’t mean to it just kinda happens and today I did that and someone told me “she didn’t ask to hear about it just a one word answer” (they were not being mean btw)

Idk if your writing the character before they discovered their OSDD but if you are make sure to add loads of ‘this isn’t real’ ‘this is normal/it happens to everyone’ bc that’s a huge thing that happens throughout the DID community! (You don’t have to do/add any of this it’s just our opinion btw)

Hey! Question (if you don’t mind)

I’m not a system, I don’t have DID or OSDD, but I was thinking about making an oc with OSDD. I’ve done a LOT of research and am certain to try to accurately represent different roles and heavily avoid stereotypes. Would that be considered harmful to the community? I apologize if this comes off as stupid af 😭

The future should accommodate for those with dissociative disorders.

The future should have further more thorough research in dissociative disorders.

The future should be more accepting of dissociative disorders.

BUT

The future should not be plural.

That means children are getting repeatedly traumatised at an impressionable age.

That means children don't have healthy coping mechanisms.

That means children AREN'T SAFE.

The future should not be plural, but it should be respectful and accepting to those who are.
