Just finished my Veilguard poster to match the Inquisition one I made a while ago!! I love it!!

Wanted the swirls to be sort of akin to Blight Stuff™ and man, were they weirdly cathartic to paint. Love playing with the negative space with these, idk it's just fun. Highly recommend just like makin' stuff in these trying times.

Been very obsessed for a long time with the idea of Batman having a teeny, tiny baby Robin that's like, the size of a 2 liter bottle of soda. Also like, of course Bats would make a tiny batmobile for his tiny baby, he's a very loving father okay.

Outfit sketches for my Rook, Vasari Laidir, plus a short lil comic. I headcanon that she got her big eye scar after a confrontation with Ghil at the end of the Hossberg double dragon quest, Harding is trying to figure out how to be honest about it still.

Had fun making her wound look gross 👍

Happy Dragon age Day, I have a new DA Piece up today! Made for a new interview/piece with Jepler and Corinne about end game decisions, lore, the future, etc.

The writer/interviewer and I brainstormed three tarot cards to inspire each section of this piece as well as the past, present, and future like you would see in a tarot reading. The death of the titans is 9 of Swords and represents the past. Solas is the Hierophant and represents the present. And the Executors are The Tower and represents the future.

Overall im really pleased with how this turned out despite the fact that I had like 2 days to do this one again b/c I was going to work on it over thanksgiving and then... just did not lol. Tried my best to match the style of Solas' murals in DATV and had a great time with all the little details.

Also huge shoutout to the folks who made the Elven font, I had a great time using it!!

Still reeling after finding the Josie romance letter in Veilguard. Like damn, it’s crazy y’all waited so long to get married but honestly I think it’s so sweet and Josie proposing has my little dead heart all aflutter ;__;

And you KNOW that the wedding between the Inquisitor and the first born of a wealthy Antivan household after a 10 year engagement would be THE social event of the season. Like the Divine will be there… (and maybe some other prominent figures in society, it’s a spoiler so I won’t say more).

Happy Dragon Age release day!!

Here’s a lil piece of my Rook, Vasari Laidir, and her big beautiful significant other Taash. I love Taash SO much, truly one of a kind, and I’ve loved their story so far.

Fully feel like they would be the best at braiding hair considering they do their own everyday and I think Vasa would like to use that time to just hang out and gripe about Stuff™️

Some more art of my Rook, Vasari Laidir!

Made this for my Spotify playlist that I really haven’t even made yet cause I only got an inkling of my character rn, but hey, why not, what a time to be alive.

This wasn’t originally supposed to have a super detailed background, but after I started sketching sea creatures, I immediately decided it HAD to look like those ancient Roman mosaics and I’m fairly happy with the result, even if I had so color all of these tiles individually.

Emmrich WIP

a little WIP to keep me motivated to finish this one 💀

i wanted to explore more what a young, inexperienced, but still extremely passionate Emmrich would be like so the context is that it's one of his first days in the Grand Necropolis and in his scholarly ardor gets separated from his companion. in searching for a way back to the surface he stumbles upon a mystery suited for just such a Mourn Watcher as committed and romantic as himself.

Very inspired by Sylvia Feketekuty's short story The Flame Eternal! (i've read it at least 20 times thus far, it's so good 😭)

The lid once belonging to the sarcophagus lay discarded on the side of it, not seemingly placed there, but thrown. This was not the work of grave robbers. 

Maker. 

Emmrich spun around, looking carefully at everything in the cavernous room. If the corpse had just awoken, it had to be here somewhere, and it was his job to see it back safely where it was meant to go. Wasn’t it? 

At the same time he began to hear a shivering whimper, he saw out of the corner of his eye a shape cowering behind a statue of a mummified body in the corner.  He clenched his hands and then unclenched them, wishing to the Maker that Johanna would burst through the doors. 

No such luck. He was still lost. But he was no longer alone. 

Emmrich took a deep breath, stood tall. 

“Ah, hello there,” he started. “My name is Emmrich Volkarin, and I... I mean to be of service to you—” he glanced back at the name plate— “Mila, is it?” 

The soft whimper quieted and the shape stilled. He thought he could make out a head, turned towards the sound of his voice, glowing pinpoints peering through desiccated fingers.

“It’s quite alright, Mila, you can—”

At the sound of her name again, the shape peaked out, mouth agape, pinpricks staring through him. Emmrich stood stock-still. His hands grabbed onto the edges of his open coat, if only for something to do.

Mila mouthed something, but only strained, breathy sounds coming out, as hearing a storm through a cracked window. Did that sound like ‘where’?

Forgot to post these the other day, but here's the two other illustrations I did for the IGN article on DA Lore and Choices in Veilguard. We wanted to capture the idea of different world states you could have in your game, so we have 3 different Inquisitors and a stained glass inspired piece that represents disbanding the Inquisition or joining the Divine's forces.

I wanted to carry thru the same broken mirror effect to match the banner (which you can see here) and I had a lot of fun figuring out how to mix that in to all the illustrations.

Also if you've been here a while, you make recognize Sybil on the left and Freya on the right in the top image, cause of COURSE I'm gonna include my special little Inquisitors when given literally any opportunity.

Clio de Riva’s magic is practical, utilitarian, and always in concert with destructive objectives, for the Crows, and now for the Veilguard. Emmrich’s magic is... well, magical. When he lights up his tower with starlight one night, Clio is wants to know how it’s done. Emmrich indulges her.

*pre-Veilguard release, so maybe OOC, but honestly at this point I don't care; the bone daddy has me by the throat

“I can teach you, if you like.” This time Emmrich’s voice hung in the air, but not like a fog, like a hand outstretched. “It’s a spell of my own creation—quite simple, I’m positive you’ll get it in a cinch.”

Clio took the hand. “Yes. Teach me.”    

“Very well. Sit up, please, my dear,” Emmrich tapped her hip gently and readjusted himself on the pillows. He motioned to his lap. “Just here.” 

She sat up on an elbow and looked up at him through amused, narrow eyes. “This isn’t a romantic ploy to get in a second round before sun-up, is it?”

“Darling, you of all people should know, a gentleman needn’t resort to ploys,” Emmrich whispered softly in a pointed ear.

Clio waited a beat before choosing to ignore the rare note of cockiness in his words and acquiesced, throwing a leg over him, settling. Her curiosity champed at the bit.

Its finally the day I get to post this!!

I made this illustrated banner for IGN's new piece on lore and choices in Dragon Age and I'm beyond happy with how it turned out. We had a part of a quote from Epler about how Solas was a mirror to Rook and so we took that idea and ran with it for all the illustrations in this article.

Never thought I'd be out here making cunty little Solas art, but I'm once again proven a fool... and it rips too.

Finally posting this unfinished painting study I've been picking away at for like literal years of my Cadash and Josie based off of The Happy Lovers by Jean Fragonard. I really need to get back into this one, cause the amount I learned while working on it was WILD. I draped fabric and took photos for my own reference, played with colors, sketched and re-sketched and re-re-sketched and man did it really make my brain think. RIP having enough time in my day to just sit and study classic paintings... maybe I'll get back there one day.

Pls enjoy some close ups b/c this file is gi-fuckin-gantic and I might as well show off all those pixels im suffering for.
