When the wicked poster drama was relevant I decided to make my own adaptation of the original poster. The eyes being covered in the original was an intentional and important artistic choice, BUT when you have set actors actually playing these roles it’s important that we can actually see their faces in the promotional images. My solution was to just cover one eye instead, so I decided to try that with the original actresses.

I was really rooting for Cynthia. To see her Harass somebody for making an edit of the wicked poster (that looked better than the official one might I add) and make it about “erasing her” just because they made the hat cover her eyes is pathetic, egotistical, and embarrassing. A fan did it better and she couldn’t handle it due to her self esteem issues that present as pure narcissism. That’s a grown ass woman harassing her supporters over fanart.

I can’t believe Ariana has to work with somebody like that considering how sweet she is known to be with her co workers and fans. Ari truly is Glinda and I know she’ll do great, I hope Cynthia doesn’t bring her toxic energy into the film.

If you’re going to remake anything, you better stay accurate.

these people and this religion is an actual sickness on this world and I genuinely believe most are evil and if not that then abused. They should be excluded from world events and don’t deserve money, food or anything from the developing countries they want to destroy. Do not donate to any Islam dominated countries because they would never do the same for your country.

Ive said this a bit on ig but havent said it much here so even though the olympics have ended please be aware the “hijab ban” never existed. The law is actually that any public display of religion is not allowed, calling it a “hijab ban” caused false information to spread and made it seem like france was targeting islamic athletes specifically.

The issue with the law was because muslim women weren’t wearing their hijabs muslim men took this as permission to r**e them. their hijab was protecting them from their men’s sexual harassment and 🍇 not even 2 days after the olympics opened.

Whenever you see a hijab on a woman from an islam dominated country, know its a symbol of oppression and 🍇 culture. it’s okay to defend the right to wear one but its not okay to support them as a whole unless you are anti LGBT or sexist

The rule was not racist, anti muslim or targeting women or islamics specifically

Literally it’s not possible to get an idea green lit this fast, in fact this reminds me of when people accused Pixar of stealing the book of life for coco, Pixar made coco before book of life and the idea went as far back as 2010, the idea for this is probably already a year or two old

I get not liking Disney (the company not the movie creators or artists) but there are actual living human beings who came up with this and pitched it to PIXAR studios not Disney, and you’re saying that they stole the idea to make up for wish (a movie they didn’t make) is not only disrespectful but just not fucking possible

A 2D FILM JUST KICKED DISNEYS ASS IN THE OSCARS!

I haven’t seen the boy and the heron and I loved elemental the most out of the options but as a 2D animation student it was very important for this film to win. Disney needs to learn that most people like 2D animation more and that they need to make a change and quick before they lose more money, to hire more 2D animators and to fuck off with their disrespectful live action remakes

Also now people can’t accuse Disney of rigging the Oscar’s just because they own ABC so thank god that conspiracy theory is dead

UPDATE 3: in late November about the same time wish was being released bob iger publicly said he wants to slow down with remakes due to all the backlash they’re getting and all the money the company is losing because of them, he said he wants to pull the plug on any remake projects that hasn’t started casting calls.

The little mermaid 2023 marks the beginning of the end of Disney live action remakes and the outcome of this film was everything I wanted and more, I’m really happy its infamy serves as an example and reminder of what not to do for other companies and that the backlash was a big as it was, I’ve been following this controversy since summer of 2019 when they announced Halle on their instagram and now that it’s finally ended and our side has come out the winners I’m absolutely overjoyed, this is a new beginning for creative ideas and proper representation WELCOME BACK TO THE DISNEY REVIVAL ERA 🎉✨

Frozen 3-4 and Moana 2 are a good start but i still think Disney can do better and make more original ideas like wish and Encanto
