Making a game about making people happy for a ‘client’. I needed a picture of a road with two sides on it and this was the only photo that I could find.. Needless to say my amazing photo shopping skills came in handy.

I MAKE GAMES! Currently doing another game jam at uni with a smaller group then usual. The game is basically two players that need to kill these enemies in which are constantly spawning. Who ever kills the most before dying or the end of the round wins. 

We are still working on a title, but I am very happy with how everyone is going. The purple, pink and blue background, just a quick background.

Today I had to make a User story document. This is where I needed to make up back ground stories for people and why they would play our game. So me being a little bit of a creative girl decided too make all 10 of my characters Overwatch characters.

I believe that documentation  can be fun if you allow it to be. Although you should always take it seriously, having that little bit of fun and to make someone smile is all the more worth it. Documentation should never be boring.

When someone reads your portfolio, they want to see that you are capable of doing the paperwork. I like to show my personality within the the documents.

@jessschultz and I are currently working on a app in class in which helps those who may have anxiety. Since there is over 180,000 people that suffer from anxiety we thought it would be a good idea to make a app in which helps those calm down. 

We have gone with pastel colours so that they are easier on the eyes and relaxes them into a calm mind. We will be updating you later, right now we are doing a presentation in which we need to pitch it to the class.

We are currently doing yet another Game Jam. Instead of having the full week to work on it, we only have two days. I have decided to stay back today to do fix things up and make it look a little prettier. 

The top picture was the basics of the UI and then as I stayed back at uni I made some minor changes just so things popped more often. It’s called Choppy. Will updated about it more tomorrow.

Adding assets into Swimmy Bird. Seeings how the game is already outstanding when it comes to art thanks to @creatureframe. I have decided to add more obstacles into the game to make it a little harder for those who play. 

By adding these cans that fall down and having seaweed that vary in sizes on the bottom, it makes the game that little bit harder!

Yet another wall of text. Just finished my 7 page GDD about a match 3 game which I cleverly compared too Huniepop.

Making a Diorama for this beauty, the core things are done. It was good fun getting back into the whole level design thing, I am going to do another one tomorrow and also add more detail into this one.

Blog Post 31

Well today I returned to university and I must say I feel like things are going to be harder to get into then I expected. My old tutor Ben ruled with a iron fist and although it seemed unfair at times, it worked. It gave me motivation to try my hardest and to do something that would make him go ‘wow’. Now that I am with a teacher that is nothing like Ben I don’t exactly know how it is going to turn out.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my new Tutor Wenpo, it is just weird going from having to have things very precise to now it doesn’t really matter. On my way home I was wondering how I could work around this, how I could keep working even harder then I did last year and then I decided that it was simple. I am going to keep working my hardest and keep working as if Ben is teaching me. Keep going to that standard.

Tonight I am taking some feedback that was given towards my website and implementing it some more! Due to my anxiety about how the week is going to turn out, I wont be able to sleep so I will get that done tonight!

I made a website!

So by the name you should know already, but hey I made a website! I told myself that I was going to and now I have. This took a lot of time today, more then I thought it was going too. Please check it out, remember that it is only new and it is precious to me.

I will be doing a blog post on there as well, they wont be as often as my ones will be on here, but still worth reading!

I am back!

Now I took a lot deserved holiday, but! I am back and my blog post will start with Global Game Jam! I am working on a team with Charlie (An amazing artist) and Sean (A amazing programmer). This weekend will consider next to no sleep and a lot of bickering between those who I love!

I'm currently on holiday in New Zealand taking a break after what has seemed like a impossible year, but I can't stop. I just bought my books for next year and I am starting to write down notes for programming because that is what I struggled on. When I get back I'm going to make a small prototype hopefully demonstrating what I studied. Thought I would really enjoy this break. But after relaxing for 3 days I feel I need to do some work. @no-weekend. You've ruined me.
