synopsis: falling in love with chigiri hyoma is slow. it's quiet. but it's sweet, and it's easier than you could ever imagine.

notes: chigiri is one of my bllk favs and i never talk abt him. HES UNDERRATED JUSTICE FOR HYOMA </3 i feel like fanon chigi always gets mischaracterized so i hope this is canon chigiri core. maybe this'll kickstart my bllk writing again..

it doesn't happen all at once.

it’s not some grand, cinematic moment where the wind and sun catch his hair just right and suddenly you’re in love. (though, you’ll admit, the hair thing is very distracting.)

it happens slowly. quietly.

when you first met him, he seemed simply like a quiet, introverted guy. it wasn't that he didn't talk, but it seemed like he just chose his moments carefully. he seemed polite and well-kept. you thought he had nice hair, but didn't think much of him beyond that.

it started the first time he talked back.

you'd teased him. something about his princess hair routine taking longer than practice. you expect him to offer a polite, awkward smile or a light chuckle, but he instead gave you a deadpan look before saying,

“yeah, sorry i like not smelling like gym socks. can’t relate?”

you blink.

he raises a brow.

you try not to let your jaw drop.

and then he smirks. like he knows he got you.

that’s when it starts.

after that, you start looking for it. the way he leans into sarcasm like it’s second nature. it's subtle. like it just slips out naturally. it surprises you at first. the way he says things that make you pause and go wait. was that flirty..? or mean..? (it’s both)

and it’s addicting.

he’s not just pretty. he's not just quiet. he's not just thoughtful. he’s funny. and competitive. and weirdly good at comebacks that have you reeling in fake anger but also leave you red in the face for hours after.

“is this your idea of flirting?” you ask once.

he shrugs, tossing his water bottle into his bag and tugging out his hair tie in one fluid motion.

“if it was, you’d be obsessed with me by now.”

little does he know that you already are. you probably have been for a while. but he doesn’t know that yet, and neither do you.

the real unraveling happens in the small moments.

how he always takes the time to stretch now after you'd scolded him. not just because he's told to, but because it seems like he really wants to take care of all of him now. you watch him learn to be gentle with himself. (he might be a little too gentle now, though. the princess.)

how he pulls his hair back with care, like it’s armor and comfort all at once, the beautiful cherry hue glistening.

how he doesn’t talk a lot, but when he does, it’s never wasted.

you learn his moods. the difference between "quiet because he’s tired" and "quiet because he’s thinking too much." you learn when to sit next to him and say nothing. you learn when to nudge him until he rolls his eyes and softens.

the more time you spend with him, the prettier you realize he is. his hair is a given, sure, but his eyelashes are also unfairly long. they're thick, too. he looks like he's wearing mascara all the time. his skin is perfectly clear and his eyes are the most gorgeous shade of pink. they resemble two twinkling rubies. you think he looks like someone's muse. like he's painted in watercolor with wind blowing through his hair and cherry blossom petals falling all around him all the time and for no apparent reason.

he lets you in so gradually that you don’t even realize you’re already there. part of his rituals, his routines. you don't notice the shift with the way he starts to tease you more and linger longer.

“you’re always around,” he says once, voice low and lazy. you'd just finished doing face masks together, and were now searching for something to watch. you're both ignoring the nonexistent space between you, opting to wordlessly shift closer.

"does it bother you?" you ask, studying his following facial expression carefully.

"nah," he replies quickly. maybe a little too quick. "just noticed it, i guess."

you shrug, “maybe i just like being around you.”

he tilts his head. studying you. not in a dreamy way. in a real way.

“yeah,” he says eventually, “i think i like it too.”

you fall in love with him one glance, one witty reply, one quiet kindness at a time.

and when he falls back, because he does, he makes sure you know.

he doesn’t say it with flowers and chocolate.

he says it when he sends you skin care recs at midnight.

he doesn't say it with a poster board and a rose petal pathway.

he says it when he sits a little too close and doesn’t move away.

when he says, “you make things feel less heavy.”

and it’s then, only then, that you realize.

you’ve been falling in love with him for who knows how long.

Seiji Neptelis introduction

Seiji is Reika's little brother, and the reason why she's attending Night Raven College.

He is a cheerful and kind boy, who never refuses to help anybody. Not to mention he is also intelligent and skilled at (almost) everything!

Also, he is quite attractive to girls, with his heterochromia, freckles and messy hair! Plus he has a cool scar!

At his 11 years old, him and his family discovered his incredible talent for magic and academics! So he would be able to continue his father business, it's incredible, isn't it?

Yeah, he can't deny it, he liked the attention he got..

Until he didn't anymore.

Until he realized how his parents treated Reika.

This boy loves his sister more than anything. So no one dares to treat her like a servant or a shit, okay? Not even his own parents.

At only 11 years old, he got really protective of his sister.

His parents were completely blinded by his potential, so he wasn't even able to talk them out of their treatment towards Reika. Only thing he could do was to hang out with her, so their link wouldn't be damaged because of their parents.

So he learnt how to play chess so he could play with her, he tried playing video games too but he sucked at it and stopped and just watched her play.

Until the day Reika used her UM for the first time on herself. That day marked Seiji clearly because the only thing he thought about was "It's my fault." And when someone hurts his sister, he'll hurt them back, but what if he's the one who hurt her? The one who provoked all of this?

Does that mean he has to hurt himself? Would it help if his own blood spilled? Would it ease his guilt and hatred?

The longer Reika stayed in her isolation, the darker his thoughts became.

"What if she never get out?"

"If Reika isn't with me, I don't need to live."

"Yeah, I should just.. die."

And even when she got out, he wasn't forgiving himself. If he didn't act so selfish, Reika would still be what she was before, and not someone who lost the understanding and expression of their emotions.

She wasn't the same anymore, and it was all his fault, wasn't it?

He didn't act on his thoughts, mostly because he didn't have the courage to. He still hoped his sister would gain her spark again, too.

One afternoon, not long after the incident with Reika, Seiji walked with his father through a crowded Maquillaville, not paying much attention to people.

But people, they were paying attention to him and his father, the Neptelis family was well known, after all. His father was talking about some of his business, Seiji didn't really listen. He was just looking at the path, not at his father, not in front of him.

That's why he didn't see the threat coming right at him. A tall man, with his face hidden by a hood and a mask, was walking towards them. But neither of them paid mind to him, why would they?

Getting closer and closer, the man shifted his hand around his sweater's pocket, before getting out a knife and reaching to stab Seiji.

And when Seiji's father noticed, he quickly pulled him aside, but it was slighty late. The knife had cut his son's throat. Seiji's eyes widened, his eyes darted to his father, confused.

"Huh..? What is—" and he didn't get to think before he coughed. It was a matter of seconds before he felt it, the sharp and violent pain in his throat. And something spilling out of it, he brought his hand to his neck, blood was spilling. A lot of it.

"What the— Argh!" he blurted, before his body stopped him, he couldn't talk anymore. And soon enough, breathing was difficult, he couldn't swallow, his head felt dizzy, causing him to stumbled against his father.

The man, feeling satisfied, quickly ran away. Seiji's father would have chased him.. if his son's life wasn't threatened.

"Seiji! Cover the cut, fast!" he yelled before himself tried to stop the blood with his sleeve.

Seiji felt his heart quicken, but as it did, blood just spilled more, and for a second, he realized he could die right now.

Honestly, it didn't bother him.

His legs felt numb, his head light. He didn't stood for long as he collapsed on the ground, consciousness leaving.

"That.. was my life? Will.. Reika be okay? " he lastly thought before passing out, blood spilling on the ground.

He stayed asleep for 2 weeks, before waking up in a hospital room. A month later, on his throat was left a scar.

After this story, Seiji quickly came back to normal and acted as if none of this happened. He was back to his normal self.

Then at his 15 years old, the black carriage came for him and he attented Night Raven College as a first year in class D (with Sebek)

The Dark Mirror assigned him to Octavinelle. No surprises, the boy is so benevolent and helpful!

As you know, Night Raven College is a school twisted of villains, yet Seiji looks so kind!

And even when she got out, he wasn't forgiving himself. If he didn't act so selfish, Reika would still be what she was before, and not someone who lost the understanding and expression of their emotions.

She wasn't the same anymore, and it was all his fault, wasn't it?

He didn't act on his thoughts, mostly because he didn't have the courage to. He still hoped his sister would gain her spark again, too.

One afternoon, not long after the incident with Reika, Seiji walked with his father through a crowded Maquillaville, not paying much attention to people.

But people, they were paying attention to him and his father, the Neptelis family was well known, after all. His father was talking about some of his business, Seiji didn't really listen. He was just looking at the path, not at his father, not in front of him.

That's why he didn't see the threat coming right at him. A tall man, with his face hidden by a hood and a mask, was walking towards them. But neither of them paid mind to him, why would they?

Getting closer and closer, the man shifted his hand around his sweater's pocket, before getting out a knife and reaching to stab Seiji.

And when Seiji's father noticed, he quickly pulled him aside, but it was slighty late. The knife had cut his son's throat. Seiji's eyes widened, his eyes darted to his father, confused.

"Huh..? What is—" and he didn't get to think before he coughed. It was a matter of seconds before he felt it, the sharp and violent pain in his throat. And something spilling out of it, he brought his hand to his neck, blood was spilling. A lot of it.

"What the— Argh!" he blurted, before his body stopped him, he couldn't talk anymore. And soon enough, breathing was difficult, he couldn't swallow, his head felt dizzy, causing him to stumbled against his father.

The man, feeling satisfied, quickly ran away. Seiji's father would have chased him.. if his son's life wasn't threatened.

"Seiji! Cover the cut, fast!" he yelled before himself tried to stop the blood with his sleeve.

Seiji felt his heart quicken, but as it did, blood just spilled more, and for a second, he realized he could die right now.

Honestly, it didn't bother him.

His legs felt numb, his head light. He didn't stood for long as he collapsed on the ground, consciousness leaving.

"That.. was my life? Will.. Reika be okay? " he lastly thought before passing out, blood spilling on the ground.

He stayed asleep for 2 weeks, before waking up in a hospital room. A month later, on his throat was left a scar.

After this story, Seiji quickly came back to normal and acted as if none of this happened. He was back to his normal self.

Then at his 15 years old, the black carriage came for him and he attented Night Raven College as a first year in class D (with Sebek)

The Dark Mirror assigned him to Octavinelle. No surprises, the boy is so benevolent and helpful!

As you know, Night Raven College is a school twisted of villains, yet Seiji looks so kind!

They also had a long friendship acceptance!!🛐 Shuu is actually a traumatized child because of bullying at school and was very afraid of Chmoki bc she didn't trust anyone, but she sincerely wanted to be friends with her😭😭😭😭 Once Chmoki stood up for her, but Shuu didn't appreciate it💔 On the contrary, it made her doubt more (she's too anxious)

Hagi (Shuu's sister) always protected her and helped her, supported her, and Shuu usually just ran away and cried, not knowing what to do☹️💔 Once, at 13-14, she got into a fight with the girls who bullied her, they broke her glasses and after that she had a nervous breakdown💔💔💔 Chmoki found out about the fight and came running to help when it was too late. Shuu behaved very impulsively and yelled at her😭😭😭😭😭 BUT AFTER THAT, CHMOKI STILL DIDN'T GIVE UP ON SHUU❤️❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔💔

After that, they really became friends, Shuu gradually got closer to her and became more confident in herself🛐🛐🛐 Chmoki had a great influence on her and really helped her. If it wasn't for her at that moment, Shuu would have broken down and probably only thought about revenge💔

he's 18! and a second year.. mf got held back a year what a loser haha lmaoo 😂🫵 (he truly has no idea what he's doing someone help him 💔)

he has literally zero spice tolerance. it's non existent. give him something covered in pepper and he'd immediately die.

loves anything sweet though! but his favourite food is caramel custard! i fear he'd love pompompurin alot.

speaking of eating stuff! (awesome segway) Azul hates him because he's practically a health hazard in the kitchen. he can cook really well!! he loves cooking!! but he always takes a portion of the food to eat.. like a spoonful of it from the plate before sending it out. never ever get him a job as a delivery guy..

the reason he has that emo one eye covered hairstyle is because he thinks it makes him look mysterious, or whatever he thinks of himself. also his left eye is of no use anyway, he's literally blind in that eye.🧍

he also wears the bandage on his right hand for literally no reason. once again, he just wants to seem cool.

his hair is also just naturally messy and shit like that, it's impossible to straighten.
