Her heart was content

The sand beneath her feet

Left history, erased by the water

Like the tears fallen from the past week

She was anew

Unbroken by her past

Rebirth by her unknown future

The sun shone on her skin

It was the start of a new beginning

It was the first chapter of the untold love story

As she ran

the kids are just fine.

Like Bob Marley said in the 60s “The people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking the day off. Why should I?” We are the daughters and sons of those who made sacrifices to better humanity. We can selfishly turn down our voice and sit in silence while ignoring the issues in front. Until one day it comes knocking on your door until one day you are faced with what others are trying to recover from. It’s not until we are directly affected that we become someone willing to fight for others. When all along the cure was a concern. I need not more...

I've been down there before

saw it all and need not more 

I've seen down there its a place I hold in my memories of back in the day 

I drove those roads and I need not repeat 

I've seen fake love that plays many roles of jewels 

my wasn't real 

to find out diamonds can break 

I've felt hurt so bad it burns the heart till its cold 

I've lost....and I've seen two worlds travelled to heaven on my own stood as two people but different 

I've been younger than I am, too bruised to understand that everything isn't what it seems

I've been happier and sadder too but I don't believe I can ever be you down there driving 

I've lived a younger age life and don't think I can turn back time 

down there are the memories of the people I left behind 

only the close have a home in my heart
