He'll buy Nagi just like Ray Dark buying Kaiser out of jail because of talent.
This egoistic capitalistic guy will probably use Nagi's popularity and talent with BLTV for monetary gain in the future.

ERMMM DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING?? OR IS IT JUST SOME LITTLE JOKE?? I WANNA KNOW....

Insulting to the REAL writers out there who put their blood, sweat and effort to write out fanfiction and stories.
Write it shitty, write it scared, write it without a clue but don't you be so spineless and have an AI write fanfic for you.
#why can't people these days practice and exert effort in everything and that includes writing?#imagine relying on ai to even write a fanfiction or a story?#writing#fanfiction#ao3

This is an interesting theory. Also, Reo and Rin are the characters who have "abandonment issues" in the past so it would be intriguing to see them interact in the manga. Also, I can imagine Rin's face mimicking Sae or his movement on the pitch 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Post NEL Speculation
I think Chapter 300 leaves Reo in a very interesting place. I see a lot of parallels here with Rin and his own backstory with Sae. In both situations, you have a duo striving to be the best in the world together with person A being seen by person B as being the stronger of the two, that ends with A abandoning the shared goal and leaving the legacy to B to carry on alone. Also, A genuinely believes that B is the more capable one, even if B doesn't initially see it themselves.
Emotionally, they are very different. Rin and Sae are brothers with a 2 year age gap, which means that they've been together for their entire conscious lives. Reo and Nagi met less than a year ago. Both pairs experienced a recent paradigm shift, though for Rin and Sae it was their separation whereas for Reo and Nagi it was coming together. Reo was also present for nearly all of Nagi's downfall whiile Sae's was a complete surprise to Rin. The way Nagi passed the baton on to Reo is expressed a lot better and with more grace than how Sae passed to Rin. However, the most relevant difference is that Reo is far more mature than Rin.
Rin's arc has been in a bit of a holding cycle during NEL. He is still unable to stop chasing after Sae's ghost even though he recognizes the way to surpass his own limits is by trusting in his own instincts. For all of Reo and Nagi's codependent past faults, I don't think Reo is going to have this same problem. His dream of success independent of his father started long before Nagi, even if it wasn't able to fully take shape until he met him.
The next arc has been set up to be another Rin vs Isagi rivalry showdown, but Reo could play a key part. I don't think one goal means he's now committed to being a striker (also if there is one thing Blue Lock absolutely does not need is another character who wants to play in that position). As a midfielder, he's been shown primarily as Nagi-support, which has held him back a lot (something that has also been recently hammered in with Ness' loyalty to Kaiser being his downfall). With Nagi gone, he has the freedom to be a lot more flexible, creative, and make smarter plays. He also doesn't have particularly strong allegiances to either Isagi or Rin. Interestingly, other characters have also been recently highlighted as being free agents, willing to support whoever is in the better goal-scoring position as a way to exhibit their own strength (Hiori, Kiyora). (This is how many of the midfielders have played thus far, but it was never made a specific character point in the past.)
Hiori and Isagi are pretty close at this point, having gone through both 3rd selection and NEL together. They have been shown to talk and strategize together, though I don't consider them to be dependent or loyal partners to each other. Reo could end up filling a similar role for Rin as two people who are essentially discovering independence at the same time. They aren't a replacement for what the other person has lost, but something more like kindred spirits who can act as sounding boards for new ideas. Reo would also be a good role model in general for Rin as someone who is a little older and possesses a higher degree of self-assurance (except when he's crashing out after his boyfriend dumped him), better social skills, and isn't trying to crush him into a fine dust.
Anyways, that's all for this little thought train. Looking forward to the next arc!

Ego's so fucking sick of their drama he just had to turn into Gordon Ramsay on this chapter
Kinda changed my thinking on Ego in chapter 299 following the official release.
It's been 5 months. He's had it with the yearning.
He's DONE with these two and had to make it known 🫡
...there's no underlying sympathy. Only spite. Mfer's been holding his tongue too long and s n a p p e d.
...Nagi's never recovering from Ego calling him a normie 💀💀💀

Reo has been put to several terrible situations in the franchise.
But in this chapter, this is the FIRST TIME THAT NAGI HAD SEEN HIM CRYING.
Nagi seeing Reo crying about him for the first time in front of him.
LET THAT SINK IN.

Nanase looking sincerely "surprise and dumbfounded" that he survived in the end makes me feel happy yet sad at the same time.
Like country boy couldn't really believed it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. But I'm just glad that he made it. He's literally an underdog this arc who has worked his way up from the bottom to the top 23.

He's on the verge of tears 🥹
God, if we don't get a single panel of Rin and Nanase interacting after this then what's the point?
I know Rin didn't give af about his teammates except for his obsession with Isagi and beating him, but I'm really curious to know how will he react that Nanase survived considering he PERSONALLY MENTORED AND TRAINED HIM.

This the second time I've actually seen Ego looking genuinely "angry." The first time I've seen it was with Kira getting locked off in season 1.
I feel genuinely sad for Nagi and Reo.
But it's hard to refute Ego's words because he's been telling them what the philosophy of Blue Lock is all about and their duo and mentality is just the opposite of it.
That's why when Nagi asked for Reo's help once again after the third selection and U20 arc, I know that they were doomed from the start and one of them gets locked off at the end.

This is like Ego being that parent watching his teenage sons demanding freedom and they got it in the best and worst way possible.

Sometimes I'm just so over Isagi's judgmental ass.
Flashback to panels of Reo making it to second selection and not Kunigami....
Isagi: There's no way that Kunigami would let it end like this!
Flashback to panels of Hiori playing instead of Kiyora back in the Ubers game....
Isagi: Kiyora's stats were good than Hiori's but we can't win if Hiori wouldn't play on this match.
Recently in this chapter....
Isagi: if Nanase can make it then why can't Nagi?
LIKE I GET JFC. The only correct time that you made a judgment like this was during the Ubers match.
#if nagi isn't a bum and didn't rely on reo most of the time in this arc he would've made it#god sometimes when Isagi's like this I'm like are you for real#blue lock#bllk#blue lock spoilers#chapter 299#isagi yoichi#kunigami rensuke#nagi seishiro#nanase nijiro#reo mikage

Just imagine Ego yapping about ego this and ego that while Kunigami listens in the background......
Kunigami: mf. You made me go to the Wild Card program to become Noa's carbon copy. But at least I got eliminated earlier and got back so I didn't have to deal with this shit.

Damn.
Ego not holding back on roasting Nagi on live television.
Nagi isn't my favorite but damn Ego is not really holding back with his harsh words.
But it's hard to blame him. Like he was telling him this since the first arc of the manga, Ego just got pissed off and clapback with an "I told you so" aura.

I swear to God Reo might be one of Kaneshiro's favorites because he loves putting him miserable and devastated in live television.
The last time I've seen Reo crying like this was during second selection and we actually got second selection 2.0 in this chapter.
