The damage the Undertale fandom from 2015-2018 did to all the early fans, is astounding. Because, tell me HOW, I tried drawing Sans, and I felt such a psychological horror, a visceral reaction to him that I physically wanted to throw up and had to immediately erase that mf. Never trying that again, the fandom ruined him for me forever.
Peanut Sans was a fun meme though. Still makes me laugh from time to time.

Friendly reminder that Rick started saying his famous catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub”, which quite literally and canonically means “I am in great pain, please help me” (01x11), in the JellyBean episode. You know which one I’m talking about. He knew immediately what happened without Morty needing to say anything.
His grandson took a bit too long in that bathroom, and he comes out beaten, with alien goop all over him, and with an 180 degrees change in his attitude, crying and sobbing his little heart out that he just wants to go back home. Then he sees an adult coming out of that bathroom, covered in that same goop, completely beaten up and almost disfigured, and he just knew. He probably felt guilty. While his grandson got attacked, screaming, he couldn’t hear him over the bars music. And he didn’t check either, too focused on continue winning schmekles. That’s when he started saying it.
Just that little reminder, so you’re all aware.

Re-blog this if:
- you’re gay - can read - support gay people - want to hold a match between your fingers as you wander the halls of an ancient castle because it’s your only source of light amidst the ghosts of people long past - are an antelope - or want a chocolate bar.
No one will know which applies.

The new season of Rick and Morty started with a fucking banger. I genuinely cannot wait to see what will happen with Morty’s character now after the Fear Hole episode. Also there were a shit ton of parallelism between Evil Morty (I like calling him Eve) and our Morty in that single episode alone. Which I will be posting about later, for now enjoy my first drawing of Rick And Morty. Never drew these two goofers before so I’m still working on the style imma use. I do like how Rick ended up lookin’. Morty is…still a work in progress.
Tumblr media
I do have to work on Rick’s hair though. Besides that, I think it went pretty great.

Not me scrolling through the Conclave tag only to see no one talk about the deliberate positioning and framing of the women in this movie.
Pulling up this movie I completely expected to only encounter Sister Agnes as the one woman we see in the trailer, the conclave a space that has been kept from the female members of the church. Now, color me surprised when I started the movie and most of the establishing shots we got were focused on all the women working in the Vatican.
And it is such a deliberate choice, it does the film a disservice not to talk about it.
Because while Cardinal Lawrence is having his fifteenth breakdown during sequestering and Bellini finds the ambitious asshole within himself, Ray does all the leg work, and Bel---- we see the women work.
We see the kitchens, we see them cook, we see them stand aside. Most of the time when the Cardinals are conspiring it is the women who interrupt because they are busy working, walking, running errands.
And there is power in that.
I think it is very deliberate how often (and with such lingering gaze) the camera shows us the lives of the other half - partially to connect to the wider themes of the movie, on how Bellini asks for women to get more power but never thanks them, and how Benitez stumps them all by thanking the women preparing their meals when asked to say the prayer (considering his own probably tumultuous relationship to gender within the church).
But it also stands in direct opposition to a long tradition in story telling: servants don't exist. How often the heroes of a regency romance are "alone" because the two hand maidens and three maids don't really count.
Conclave doesn't do that.
It doesn't let us look away.
Between all the petty drama, the politics, and the real life consequences of the conclave, we never stop looking at the people doing all the work.
Yes, we follow the ups and downs of Lawrence and Co, but in doing so the movie reminds us again and again of the women working the kitchen.
And that was just such a powerful artistic choice in a movie about a famously misogynistic church... I loved it. And I had to talk about it.

I rewatched Inside Job and I had forgotten how much the ending shatters your soul. It’s so painful and I hate that it got cancelled.
[SPOILERS FOR S2 AHEAD]
Reagan deserved to be with Ron, yet she knew he would never be fully happy with her. She was quite literally bred since childhood to be Cognito Inc.’s boss. She quite literally cannot focus on anything, because despite how unhappy she is with her life and her job, she simply cannot let go. And she knew that, and she knew that Ron deserved so much better than her.
And what’s the ultimate act of love if not to set him free from her toxic behavior?

BEWARE, long “EPIC: The Musical” rant ahead, [Spoilers] for the Thunder Saga:
I'm surprised nobody has said this, but in Scylla's song she's not talking about Odysseus, about how she and Ody are the same monsters. She's talking about Eurylochus.
Im surprised by how many people think she's talking about Ody since the beginning, but she doesn't talk about him until the last moment, after he's already offered six of her men as an offering for her to let the rest leave in peace
When Scylla says, "you hide a reason for shame", it's just when Eury says that he has a secret he can't keep any longer, one that's been eating him form the shame and guilt When Eurylochus says "I opened the windbag while you were asleep", the animatic focuses on Ody as Scylla says
"leaving them feeling betrayed", because Ody felt betrayed that his best friend, his second in command would betray him in such a way, would be the reason why he couldn't reach his home sooner
"Breaking the bonds that you've made" again with Ody's silence, how he was mentally preparing and planning to make Eurylochus part of the sacrifices, as that was the final straw for him to become ruthless and "a monster"
"There is no price we won't pay", with Eurylochus begging for forgiveness, not because he actually is sorry, but to try and get into his captain's good side because he knows he fucked up. By that moment, he no longer trusted Ody, and I'm sure he didn't felt any actual remorse But he had to get on the man’s good side because 1. He had almost committed a mutiny (I think) when he tried to make Ody abandon their men in Circe’s island. And 2. Because Odysseus was still his captain and King. Who would want to be on their king’s bad side?
It's not until Odysseus tells Eury to light up six torches (six men to sacrifice) that Scylla is actually talking about him. And it's not till the final verse ("We are the same, you an I") that Ody actually admits he's become like Scylla.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

EPIC: The musical is such a great source of media. The characters are fucking well written, it’s such a genius and creative adaptation. The designs that every artist makes are chef kisses. And the music itself feels like it’s being sung to me by a chorus of angels right from my ears to my heart.
That’s it. That’s all that I wanted to talk about. EPIC is amazing.
Happy New Year.

While having to go into hiding, after having come back to life the first time, Yuji probably cooked apology meals for Gojo.
As he’s had to fetch for himself, since his grandpa was old and sick, Yuji probably learned to cook his own meals. His love language, besides being overly affectionate and attentive, was probably to cook meals for his loved ones.
I can see Yuji bringing homemade meals to his grandpa during the first few months. And I’m sure that he tried to apologize to Gojo for having to be the one taking care of him by cooking him meals too with whatever he had on hand.
Whenever he was running low on ingredients, if Gojo didn’t catch him trying to sneak out to the market, he would probably ask his sensei for some supplies that he was needing, despite how much he hated having to make his sensei run out for errands over and over again.
Yuji definitely cooked for him to the best of his abilities, and Gojo adored his meals every time.
