Okay, so after their finale, I got some things to say about Harriet.

People didn’t really like her because of the way she acted, but let’s see it from her point of view; She lost Clover. Someone who she looked up to and cared about. When she found out Qrow was in the Tundra with Clover, she was angry and thought that Qrow killed him and was too blinded by her own rage. It was like what Robyn said; “ You Just want someone to be mad at.” She was still mourning for Clover. She was in a stage of grief.

She was blinded by her rage to realize she was making stupid decisions, such as destroying Mantle with the bomb. Which led her to try and destroy Mantle.

When Elm said “ Friend.” She instantly changes. She accepts the fact that she screwed up. She might have known deep inside that they were all friends, but no one has the guts to even bring it up or say it because they thought they were the only ones who thought that. She actually cares for them.

When Vine had switched with her place in the ship, and then said the whole friendship thing, Harriet is literally screaming because she doesn’t want to lose anyone else and Elm has to hold her back. Like you can tell how hurt she is by everything. She’s screaming at the top of her lungs and she’s in pain because she just saw her friend get blown up.

She knows she screwed up, and now she will blame herself for Vine’s death and everyone else. Some, her fault, yea, but this could actually be a redemption. ( She did sorta become good but now she has to FULLY become good. Aka apologize to Team a RWBY and JNPR.)

So yea, she knows everything is her fault and now she has two friends that are gone and she couldn’t do anything to save them.  But yea, I mean, she’s been through a lot this volume. People can dislike her in general, but she’s really hurt now. Like she knows everything is her fault. She screwed up.

my SM headcanons:

I so badly want the Summer Maiden to be a Faunus. It’s likely because Vacuo is full of Faunus. 

So, I thought of like the Summer Maiden being this bubbly girl. Amber and Fria seemed like these serious maidens. She could be like Coco and Nora; Bubbly, really talkative, and badass.

If the current Summer Maiden knew Ozpin, imagine she sees Oscar and the cane and she’s like “ Oh fuck, Ozpin?!”
