Starting my new position has been insanely busy as of late, and admittedly the only studying I've been doing is about the company. Theres so much more I'd like to learn, especially for this new position so I'm adjusting my "study priorities list" to account for the new changes

The "eat the frog" method needs to be its own category on my list, because there are a lot of impactful items that I'm putting off- but that could be done in a weekend. These for me are quick, high priority and high impact things (ie. a tool that could put me ahead at work)

My frogs:

🐸 Advanced power BI

🐸 Selenium (a tool for automated testing)

High priority (2-3 hours every day):

✒ Python + data structures

Medium priority:

✒ My portfolio (1 hour a day)

✒ GMAT prep (10 minutes a day)

Low priority:

January 6th, 2024

Absolutely exhausting day at a new client office today, but I started the day coding at a new coffee shop and did some studying before heading back.

I set out a roadmap for 2 possible careers I want/could go into- software architecture vs. business/data analysis. I made a long term (kinda?) career plan for both, including skills to learn + study resources

Attended several meetings and went through some learning resources for project management

Continued coding Python, continuing with a Python Django project I started

Tomorrow I'd like to proceed with looking at my long-term road map planning for the week's work studying some new topics I'll need at work and continue with a ton of coding practice. I'll probably be too tired to wake up though.

January 3rd, 2024 Spent the afternoon planning and programming with overpriced but admittedly delicious mango milk. This weekend I want to continue programming but focus more on leet code questions that can help me with future interviews. This weekend I also like to finalize a weekly study schedule. I used to absolutely hate these because they never worked with my constantly changing schedule but now I think I'm at a point where I really need it. I'm also going to journal a night routine because I spend more time deciding what to do than actually doing anything.

Going to start 2025 programming, so if you need me, I'll be lost in a sea of coffee, bugs, and late-night breakthroughs.

Todays been a busy day; life is starting to get back to normal so I'm back to developing a schedule and hopefully sticking to it.

What I did today:

❄ finally finished planning out my portfolio so I can start coding right away in 2025 ❄ lots of scrapbooking ❄ found some projects to do on python ❄ reviewed SQL ❄ started adding to my resume so I can keep it up to date

December 29th, 2024

Spent the day at a coffee shop, after a few days of not studying at all. I’ve been upset by some things in my personal life lately; i feel like I’m loosing my closest friend. On top of that, my family visiting for Christmas has made life extremely busy. I was still a bit down while studying- I still am and everything feels like it takes 45x more energy, but being in a familiar coffee shop in a new location really kept me going. I didn’t do too much, but I’m happy with today because 

I did something at least

I created a program I’ve been struggling with

What I got done today:

🧸Current CS50 unit (+ finished 4 remaining assignments for that unit) 🧸Completed an API/requests Python project 🧸Did my December budgeting 🧸Laundry + hanging up my clothes 🧸A little scrapbooking

Day 13/150 days of growth

The playlist for today:

Merry Christmas y'all!! Today ended up being a surprise road trip with the family, which meant that not only did I get to spend time with them but I got to get a lot of studying done in the car.

What I got done today:

🎄 reviewed the past few chapters I did on azure 🎄 started creating a weekly study plan for when Christmas break is over and work starts getting busy again 🎄 went through GMAT reading comprehension pages

My study plans for tomorrow:

❄ one hour or one chapter of azure ❄ finally finalize my portfolio ❄ either start making changes to my old code or start on new files for my portfolio ❄ finish gluing some pictures for my scrapbook ❄ laundry day and fighting with my closet to hang up my clothes

Not much of a study day; picked my cousins up from the airport, tons of cleaning, and about 2 hours of studying

❄ Spent an hour working on QA at work; yes i took the day off but this workplace is actually nice so I don't mind

❄ Spent an hour on Python practice, mostly just reading about different Python libraries

❄ More scrapbooking

❄ Donated a bunch of old books

Day 12/150 days of growth

I accidentally titled this 2022, wow. Anyway, here's to a full day of avoiding the cold and scrapbooking.

What I did today:

☕ deep cleaned and redecorated my room ☕ an everything shower and face masks ☕ my daily 30 minutes of GMAT prep, doing some online practice and having chatGPT give me questions ☕ Studying for the AZ-900 exam ☕ making some notes look neater, and typing up other physical notes ☕ Tons of scrapbooking ☕ reading the book in the picture, which a friend reccomended

Day 11/150 of growth

So proud of myself today, it's been a busy day since the second I woke up; I have some cousins coming over for Christmas so the first half of the day has been sprucing up the house, buying presents, errands, etc. I spent the second half of the day studying at a coffee shop (which I'm still at as I write this).

What I got done today:

🕯️Did all the problems on "The LeetCode Beginner's Guide" (probably should've started with that, it's all so clear now) 🕯️Did a bunch of Linked Lists practice (videos and questions) 🕯️Finished 'SmartCuts' (it was AMAZING- love all the examples) 🕯️Continued in re-structuring my portfolio (on paper at this point; not feeling confident enough in the content yet) 🕯️An hour of Azure prep 🕯️30 minutes of GMAT prep 🕯️Cleaned my whiteboard (y'all I left some writing on it for the last 3 MONTHS- IT TOOK 30 MIN TO CLEAN) 🕯️Went to the mall and bought a bunch of gifts 🕯️Installed and cleaned my shelf

I went to the Christmas Market today and spent the whole day with warm drinks- a peppermint mocha, marshmallow hot chocolate, and finished off with a french vanilla ☕ Regardless, the studying continues so I did bunch of setting on the train and after coming back.

What I got done today:

✒ Did a major presentation at work

✒ Continued with the MS learn challenge, and took some rough notes that I'll write down tomorrow

✒ Made a 2025 to-do list and planned for my soon to be business

✒ Deep cleaned my room and did some budgeting

Day 9/150 Days of Growth

Today was another quiet, gloomy, cold day so I spent the entirety of it in my room with a candle on and a warm peppermint latte 🤎 Been on a study-call with my best friend for the past 6 hours, so I got extra done today.

What I did today:

☕3 units of Azure exam prep ☕A LeetCode problem about dividing strings ☕30 minutes of GMAT math prep using the Princeton review ☕Packed my bags, cleaned my room ☕Did my hair and lots of skincare ☕Created a video and written tutorial at work for a colleague ☕Spent overtime fixing their system :?

☕ Hobbies: scrapbooking, coffee making (with how many things I try, yes, it's a hobby at this point) and baking, skincare, travelling

☕ I'm an indecisive girlie but working on it

☕ Just finished my bachelors in IT/Business Analysis but continuing to study for a couple reasons:

School didn't teach me most of what I need

I'd like to shift towards being a developer but don't feel confident

I LOVE studying

I'm preparing for an MBA in the future, and thus studying for an admissions test (GMAT)
