House would be a good father. Why? Well, I'll tell you below.

House is a massive asshole, yes, but you can tell that he cares for kids and teens. Several moments in lots of episodes within the show actually show that. Specifically, the episode with the autistic kid (Lines in the Sand, I think?)

He also can regulate his emotions well. Lots of parents just let go of their emotions and let them get too far. For example, a parent might get too angry for stupid things. House? He might get disappointed or a bit mad, not ruthless. He'll try his best to understand too. (He's done so with countless patients that were young).

Okay, so, let me get tell you all something. I've realized how easy people trust what they. What should people begin to do? Well, let me begin to explain.

Research! People need to research when they hear something.

I do extemporaneous speaking in my speech club at school, so I have decent practice with research, bias, and figuring out things. Even if I'm a minor, I may have a valid point.

For example, one of my friends was shocked and sent me a video about something called "Soylent Green" that was explaining about it. The video didn't explain anything besides the process of how it was made. She thought that it was being put into our food. I dug deeper and began to search further. Turns out, it was fictional and came from a movie with the same name.

Do you now see how important research can be?

Research needs to be used more often, especially in this day and age with politics and countries going haywire as if they're a malfunctioning, virus-filled iMac that needs its software updated.

Ever heard the name Harlan Ellison before? Yeah, I never learned about him until the summer of last year. Anyways, let me explain why he's one of my favorite people and how he inspired me despite me never seeing him with my own eyes.

So, Harlan Ellison. He's known by us Tumblr people as a grumpy old man who made great books. Yeah, that's true, but he just believed that it's best to be yourself. Someone could tell him that he did something wrong by just being himself, and he'd brush it off. This man had confidence and mental strength.

His books are unique too. They make people think, they sometimes bring up issues in a way that you could only call his, and they're pure literature. For example, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. It's wonderful. You can easily imagine every event, even if it's miniscule.

I see him as a good role model, despite how careless he sometimes seemed. He had a good head on his shoulders, he said what he truly believed, he didn't take anyone's bullshit, yet he could be polite and sweet. Basically, an asshole when somewhat needed, and a friend when most unexpected. I would love to see more people like him, and I wish he was still around so I could meet him for myself.
