Do you want to know why I hate having my pain, and others pain in general, not being taken seriously? Well, I seem to have more vents than normal, so I might as well get this over with. It's a bit of a long one.

I remember having a pretty severe pain in one of my knees during a speech meet. It hurt when I stood, sat, and walked. Nothing helped. I forced myself to limp to see if it would help, but limping wasn't really helpful. The pain went from the knee itself to several inches above and below the knee cap. So many people, including my speech coach (she's the best) were concerned. The pain only stopped during the drive home after I was dropped off back at my school. I was shocked when it just sort of disappeared. I told my parents about it on the next day, and they said "It's probably just growing pains." Growing pains? Mentally, I was screaming like a banshee to try and help me not focus on the pain when it happened! They got me to take a Magnesium and a Potassium supplement too. No clue how that would even help. I've had pain and throbbing sensations in my knees ever since, but they aren't constant. They happen randomly.

Another time, cramps! I was writhing in pain and whining like a hurt animal because it hurt so badly. My mom kept comparing it to child birth and saying that it isn't that bad and that I should be able to handle it/suck it up. She also sort of, ahem, threatened me.

Pain is your body saying that something's not right. You have to listen, and figure out why it's happening.

If the world ends soon, I'd prefer it to be because some fuckass cultists summoned Nyarlathotep, Cthulhu, and any or all of the others. I ain't gonna die because we go into nuclear war.

I don't like Amber because of how she acted when she was in the game for the new potential diagnostics team. She manipulated people into leaving, was pretty rude, and was a bit careless (she let a punk rocker dude who was a smoker into the bathroom by himself, and the guy ended up blowing up the bathroom because he lit a cigarette while he had an oxygen tank). Yes, I agree that mostly all the House MD characters are pretty horrible, but Amber rubbed the wrong way completely. I forget what she said, but she even spoke to Cameron in a bit of a rude (possibly even condescending?) way. Personally, she just makes me feel uncomfortable with her manipulation. Could be the mom part of my parental issues speaking, but either way, this is why I don't like Amber.
