Hii, my name's Maddie and I thought I'd repost my Meet The Artist doodle I did a few weeks ago with a more in-depth description of me to provide more context :)

I'm currently 18 and on a gap year, planning to major in English at uni next year! I'm asexual panromantic and my gender is currently Unspecified and Confusing, so we're sticking to broad terms for the time being loll

My silly fandoms include: The Magnus Archives/Camp Here & There/Good Omens/Pride and Prejudice (2005 movie specifically)/If We Were Villains/Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries/Legendborn/Six of Crows (book + TV series)/The Artful Dodger/Anne With An E/Little Women/Brooklyn 99/Heartstopper/Twilight (ironically I swear I swear)

I love to write stories and poetry as well. One of the largest projects I'm working on is the horror fiction podcast I'm co-writing, @derleth-isle . I love making art (clearly lol) both digital and pencil on paper mostly. I also love embroidery, scrapbooking, and photography.

My favourite music artists at the moment include Hozier, Lord Huron and Cavetown, as well as Florence + The Machine, Ricky Montgomery, Noah Kahan, Mother Mother, Gigi Perez, The Growlers, Pheobe Bridgers, and The Lumineers

I might also post about mental health every now and again probably relating to my OCD tendencies and anxiety disorder so you have been warned about that loll

I enjoy copious amounts of tea and sun, hamsters, funky earings, thrifted jackets previously owned by someone's middle-aged dad, my idiot dog named Wilson, and spending time with the people I love :)

Thought I'd finally do a finished work of one of my fav characters I've sketched in my sketchbook recently :)) I'm yet to write him into a story but trust the day will come.

When I was in the hospital, they gave me a big bracelet that said ALLERGY, but like. I'm allergic to bees. Were they going to prescribe me bees in there.

As someone who has heavy OCD symptoms, it's hard to fully describe just how some thoughts absolutely drill themselves into your brain. Like I consciously know that I'm safe and loved but there's this constant itch of "no that can't be true because believing it is Wrong somehow". Like you have to feel these awful feelings because that's the way It's Always Been and changing that is against the rules.

Okay finally we've reached my most recent work (finished yesterday) and so the artwork spamming is now over yippeee

This started out as a silly little sketch but then five hours later I was still working on the rendering and I actually love how it turned out :)
