probiotics, protein, fiber.
prioritize whole foods.
educate yourself for an hour a day. NO EXCUSES. listen to podcasts/youtube videos/audiobooks. read an article or book. learn how to cook better or take care of your skin type. just learn something! don’t let your brain be wasted away. it CRAVES growth.
HAVE ADMIN DAYS. make your to do lists, set 3 priority tasks and set 15-20 minutes of uninterrupted time to tackle them. boom.
stop aimlessly shopping. you have everything to need to live. save up! your future self will thank you.

Your guide to REAL selfcare

If you go on any social media and type "selfcare", all you recieve is pretty girls doing extravegant skincare, dior makeup and all. But the problem is everyone does the same thing and things just cant work same for everyone. Also, It doesnt feels authentic rather it feels like consumerism. So, I am gonna tell what to do so you feel the best.
Knowing yourself:-
You can only do yourself a favour if you know yourself and the best way to do that is JOURNAL.
If you are new to it, then you can search journal prompt ideas on pinterest and make that a part of your routine. It helps so much.
Do shadow work. Go on pinterest and do the same thing.
Dont be ashamed of yourself, rather accept yourself and change for the better. When you'll journal then you will get to know tons of good and bad things about you but our brain loves to focus on negative things so u might get stuck on that.
Record your likes and dislikes. Which books you loved, which dramas you adore, which food makes you comfy and which movies you wasted your time on. Record these things, this is just so fun and helpful when you feel "bored" or sad.
Being Mindful:-
Most of the time, the problem is not that big but our thoughts just traps us and we feel that problem is bigger than it might so take a step back and try to not overthink about past or future.
I know this is easier said than done but meditating helps a lot with mindfulness.
When you watch a movie or drama or even ytube video then just do that. Dont scroll reddit reading the "discussion" thread of the episode or try to find instrumentals on spotify for reading books. Just do one thing at once.
Dont multitask. Just take a task and then focus on that. (This might not work for neurodivergent people.)
Do 5,4,3,2,1 grounding technique. Identify
5 things you can see 4 things you can feel 3 things you can hear 2 things you can smell 1 thing you can taste.
Cut negative people off
This is so hard because you feel mean for doing this but once you cutoff toxic people who just drags other people down and all they talk is negativity then your life become so much better.
Cut off all the negative content you watch and limit the time you spend on social media.
Do your future self a favour
This is truly the best selfcare.
Study hard cause' your future self will thank you for letting her be the top student
Learn some skills. Read those books. Watch that documentry. Do things that will make your future self proud.
Some selfcare ideas
Organizing and planning
excercise or take a walk.
Reading books.
Cleaning your room
Watching fun movies
Studying about yourself. Knowing what products suits your skin and your hair. What color brighten you and what makes you look dull. What haircut looks good on your face and what clothes flatters on your body.
Get your nails done.
Listen to your fav album while painting, baking, or gardening.
Do your hobby without feeling presurrized. No you dont need to read 50 books a year, chill out and enjoy while doing it.
Dairy writing. Its so fun to read what your day looked like on a random tuesday after 2-3 years.
Explore new things in your hometown. Maybe there is a new cafe that opened 2 weeks ago or there is a hiking trail you are not aware of? its always fun to do that.

look, im not the biggest fan of lana del rey  BUT one thing she said in an interview was basically, find someone with your dream life, then learn how they did it. basically, know what you want and learn how to get there.
have role models- find people who have qualities you admire. now don’t worship people (thats just weird) but have people to look up to.
learn from your role models- don’t worship people, but find traits in your role models that you want to have. find what they did from their success, keep learning and growing. 
who do you want to be?- what habits will you have? what hobbies? what things do you want to get out of your life, and what do you want to enter in?
self growth
when you know what you want, now you need to go for it. put your plan into action.
develop healthy habits- once you have an idea of who you want to be, and what you want to do, start putting the work in. do the things your best self would do.
discover your talents- find passions and work for them. you don’t need to be good to start. just find something and work for it! 
find things you love- know yourself. discover music, discover your style, your favorite things. know more about yourself
find your signature look- trends come and go, so find a style you love and begin to explore your own look.
romanticize your life- do things to make your life more beautiful. be grateful, play the music you love, find the beauty in everything.

How I got 10k in funding for my research trip to Oslo

This year, I have gotten a total of 10.000 € in funding for my research trip to Oslo. I am a PhD student and for my research, I wanted to go abroad for half a year. While I get a salary for my work, doing research in a different country means additional costs - so I applied for a few travel grants, and got three different ones: One from my department and two through external organizations. Here are my tips for scoring funding as a PhD student:
Look into all available options and decide what the best use of your time and energy is
I did a lot of research and looked at what other people from my department in similar positions had applied to. Often, you need to draft recommendation letters, write out a budget, and hand in a bunch of documents so I recommend starting early.
I also decided against applying to one of the suggested grants because it was very competitive and had a time-consuming application process. So invest your time and energy wisely.
Believe you are worthy of getting money
If you're anything like me you might think 'Why would anyone give me money, out of all people?'. Try to see what's at the root of these thoughts and replace them with a more useful mindset.
For example, I felt insecure because I was only at the beginning of my PhD journey and hadn't published anything big yet. When I became aware of these thoughts, I flipped it into 'I have a lot of potential. Since I am just getting started, I have a lot of time to give back and teach what I have learned'. Not only will you feel better, a positive attitude also shines through when you write or talk.
Be energetic and confident
This one is important. I had to give a presentation for one of these grants where we competed for the money. It was an interesting experience. I practiced my slides really well and asked a woman who had previously won that scholarship for advice. The only thing she said was 'Be energetic, most people look like they don't really want to be there'.
I was surprised, but after seeing the other presentations, I knew what she meant. Most people didn't really seem all that excited to present their project - maybe because they were nervous or maybe because it really wasn't that important to them. But I really wanted the grant so I knew I had to play it up a little. In the end, I got the grant because they 'liked my enthusiasm'. On paper, I wasn't even the most suitable candidate but my energy made up for it.
A portion of luck
Sometimes you get lucky, and that can play a large role, too. One of the grants drew names to determine who would move on to the next round and my name got picked. My advice is to have faith that the right opportunities will come to you and try to view rejection as redirection. Every so-called failure can teach you a valuable lesson.

day 11 - money success story
Finally sent the invoice for my last project and received the payment within a day. And now I have 15.9k in my main bank account!
Not getting in your own way is such an important part of manifestation! I often feel I have internal blocks and when I become aware of them I do my best to tackle them proactively. So I wrote that invoice even though I felt so anxious…
I also learned about the FIRE movement this week and am thinking a lot about what I can take from that. The FIRE (=financial independence retire early) movement is a community of people that save and invest money to retire early.
While extreme frugality is not my thing (I’m more of a hedonist), I find it interesting and think I can learn from many people in the movement how to make smarter financial decisions.
Feeling wealthy and inspired 💸
