Social Media Madness

Ever wondered how people’s lives are functioning right now without the social media updates through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and etc? Oh, well, I think it is kind of boring and somewhat incomplete in my everyday routine. Although, I know that some people can still live without checking their social accounts and go through their usual days just like no other.
Honestly, I can sometimes be an…

It’s been a while since my last travel in a different country and it feels really good to experience it again. So here’s the story how I planned my trip to Georgia.
Few months ago, I was thinking about the public holiday which was commenced on December 1st to 3rd. It’s the UAE national day which they anually celebrate and practice their famous jet airshows with colourful smokes in it. I personally witnessed the show last year in Corniche where they usually perform and it’s amazing to watch. Then, all of a sudden, I thought of the long holiday and how to spend it.
Georgia, Armenia or Azerbaijan? Those three countries have came up to my mind while thinking about my holiday/winter trip. After few days of rationalization, I decided to check some photos on the internet which might help me to decide which is which😄. I’ve also read some blogs and reviews of the places and hotel and voila! Finally chose GEORGIA.
Georgia is situated at the crossroads of western Asia and eastern Europe (we usually call it EURASIA) with neighbouring countries of Russia, Armenia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Georgia is visa free from people who have UAE residence permit.
Since there are different options of airlines going to Georgia, I booked my flight ticket in Flydubai which is a direct flight-3 hours from Dubai international airport. It costs me around 2000 AED since I booked my ticket a little late before my trip. I also booked my hotel separately from Booking.com and chose hotel Tato. I spent 110 GEL (Georgian Lari) for my 3 days/2 nights stay including breakfast. It is located at Avlabari, near the city centre of Tbilisi. And for my tour guide, I chose Mariam. A local in the country which I found in Instagram. I paid her $180 for private tour plus hotel and airport transfers. All the documents were printed out (passport/UAE visa copy, flight details with travel insurance and the itenerary copy sent by my tour guide) just for immigration purposes.
Day 1
Arrived at Tbilisi Airport – I was fetched by my tour guide (and was pleased to finally meet her☺️). We went out directly and drove going to the city. I was overwhelmed by what I saw. The nature and the old streets, the houses being preserved by its history and the warm welcome of the people despite of the cold and rainy weather. As we were at the city centre, I saw their flea markets which they had a lot to offer 😄. I also tried their traditional food called Khinkali and Kachapuri which are both tasty! We climbed to the mountains and saw the entire city. We also went to old monarchys and churches in Mtskheta where it feels really solemn and respected by the people. I also exprienced riding a cable car though it only lasted for few minutes. As we walk along going to the Bridge of Peace, I saw other tourists with their happy faces while discovering the city and it makes me shiver because I feel the same😄. We also went to the park and saw the sulphur waterfall in Legvtakhevi. And at the end of the day, finally, at the hotel to rest and sleep.
Day 2
Snow experience- I woke up around 8 AM and my breakfast was served right after. Watched a few news at BBC channel (because that’s the only english programme I found on the TV😄). Then took a bath and put my winter clothes on. Levan (a different tour guide), came to fetch me together with other Filipino girls who are also on tour for the snow experience. We went to Gudauri and Kazbegi which is famous because of its beautiful mountains and snow activities. However, I did not tried skiing or paragliding due to heavy snow fall and bad weather but was pleased to have a glimpse of the mountains. I also had a sight of the amazing Zhinvali reservoir, which we passed by while touring. Last, but definitely not the least for the second day trip was going to Gergeti Trinity. It’s a church which was built at the top of the mountain but was unable to reach it because of the slippery road. As I arrived at the city in the evening, I met Mariam (tour guide) and brought me to a local restaurant and bar where they performed a live band and danced the traditional “Georgian” dance. Had a taste of the Shkmeruli (fried chicken in garlic sauce) and the ever sweet red wine. Overall, I felt tired but had the most fantastic memory of Georgia☺️.
Day 3
Last city tour- and so the third day came🙁. It was the first thing that came up in my mind that it’s my last day in Georgia. It felt heavy in my heart and was a little teary as I prepare my things. Then, I realized that I should not be feeling weary and just enjoy the remaining hours in gorgeous Georgia. Mariam came and fetched me at the hotel around 10 in the morning. We went to the market and bought few souvinirs, took the last photos of Freedom square and the streets. Headed after to Gardenia Shevardnadze which is literally a garden with a victorian style cafe☺️. I had their sumptuous coffee and crepes. Finally, our last stop was in the Chronicle of Georgia which is located along the way to airport. It was my favourite place and attraction because of its temples and higher ground while overlooking the entire city and the sea. Then, went to the airport and had my goodbye to Mariam and Tbilisi.
In general, it was an amazing experience to visit Georgia. Though I travelled solo, I still enjoyed it because of the company of my tour guide. Mariam and Levan are very friendly and kind with an outstanding support to walk, climb and take every photos of their client😄. Hotel Tato is also a great place to stay because of the location and the view plus their affectionate staffs. The locals are accommodating and their food are definitely worth the try. History and tradition will surely remain in my memory forever☺️.
GEORGIA ( A hidden treasure that has been discovered) It's been a while since my last travel in a different country and it feels really good to experience it again.

Skin care review: The Body Shop

Hi guys! Today I am going to review and share my thoughts about some of The Body Shop products which I have been recently hauling and using for a couple of weeks now.
My skin care has never been so serious before as long as I have a day moisturizer with SPF and a night cream- it’s enough! But, I realized that as I age through the years, I should be more specific and careful on the products that…

London’s Calling (Backpacker for a week)

Travelling is both a form of pleasure or a business venture, but either ways is a marvelous experience indeed. I am not an experienced traveller, but always dreamt of it. Well, restrictions of travelling are financial, a travel buddy, level of anxiousness and a vacation leave. By any means, if travelling is your passion then no one can stop you from doing it.
It has been 45 days since my…
