bkdk aging into their fathers' features

katsuki has always looked and acted more like mitsuki than masaru. but when he looks in the mirror at forty, his far-sighted glasses framing the downturn of his weary eyebags, he finds that he quite likes being his father's son.

izuku has always been the splitting image of inko. but as his freckles fade with age and the green in his hair loses its shine, he realizes with the emerging of crows feet that his face is slowly turning into someone that he doesn't recognize or remember.

fem!bkdk hair headcanons

a conversation with @tigums hehe katsuki had short hair throughout her childhood because society taught her that strength is born from masculinity and lack of emotions, but after attending UA for a while she realizes that she can still express her femininity without being perceived as less strong. and that's why she grows out her hair, starts wearing nail polish, and begins wearing jewelry. it's a "girly" side of her that she was never able to explore until Class A gave her a safe space to try. and that's how she becomes best friends with mina, who drags her out for shopping and cafe dates (and let me tell you, katsuki loves thrifting).

for izuku, she kept her hair long for as long as she could because she loves having long hair and wearing it in cute styles. but when she leaves UA to become a vigilante, she cuts it all off because it gets too messy without proper care in the city. and that only adds to her loneliness, because it feels like she's lost yet another part of her. when Class A finds her, katsuki is absolutely devastated about it and demands that she grows it back out after they get back to UA (not that she doesn't love izuku with a pixie cut because UGH she's so cute). so izuku starts wearing her hair in a bun when training. but after the war, it gets cut again because well... half her head has to be shaved. from then on, izuku keeps it short for convenience but buys extensions for whenever she wants to style long hair. sometimes she misses her natural hair, but she's come to love the feeling of wind against her nape just as much.

satoru's take on grieving living people

the first few months after suguru defected and satoru started providing for the fushiguro kids, he was basically incapable of properly caring for them, too caught up in his own sorrow to carry other people's. megumi and tsumiki caught onto this despite the smiling quips and deceptively tasty meals (not that there was much variety--suguru was always the one who cooked for them), and sometimes satoru would drag himself over to see microwaved pork buns or frozen dumplings already sitting at the shoddy table for him. he'd have no choice but to avoid their knowing eyes and mumble his thanks quietly, hoping it wouldn't reveal the croakiness of his disused voice. not much to say anymore with no one to say it to, after all.

who's your favorite character

if we're talking fav characters EVER, i'd have to go with hu tao from genshin because i have a severe attachment to her (she's literally me). but if we're talking current favs, definitely bakugo katsuki or jinx hehe. their characterizations are so well-written and i could rant forever about how their characters are portrayed throughout their respective stories :)

katsuki and his love for izuku's freckles

izuku's moles are the "planets" and his freckles the "stars"

genuinely mourned when izuku's scar erased some of his favorite constellations, and was even more overjoyed when new freckles started appearing on the newly healed skin

he'll never admit it, but katsuki knows exactly how many freckles run across izuku's nose and up his cheeks, even when his hair blocks the sides of his face ("you don't have enough freckles!" he says to iida when he tries to disguise himself as izuku)

he gets so disappointed when they disappear in the winter; thinks the summer sun is a blessing because the dots just get that much more prominent

katsuki himself has his fair share of sunspots, especially on his upper arms and around his neck, and izuku loves them just as much (they don't know it, but those moles have always been kissed by the other, in every lifetime and in every era)

i wrote a little something for my kavethamers :') very self-indulgent and very much a projection of myself, but i think it fits them very well. they make me want to AGRHWGRGEGGh

schizophrenic photographer!satoru x dead lover!suguru

something my roommate and i thought up that i will probably never actually write but am posting as a reminder to myself that the idea is out there whenever i am in a writing slump (haha?)

- move a little to your right, suguru. yup, right there. okay, smile! you look so good :) the colors complement his hair, his eyes, his smile. the shadows are perfect, the moon’s position, the way a flock of birds fly right by

- pictures at the kitchen counter where he sits, of him petting their dog at the park

- he dreams sometimes. of a lifetime where suguru is gone, where satoru had to carry on on his own. he’s so glad that isn’t this universe (but oh, it is, isn’t it?)

- “you were the sweetest apparition, such a pretty vision” - saw you in a dream, the japanese house

- shoko as psychiatrist. when she sees him displaying schizophrenic tendencies, uh oh. i have to get my best friend out of this hole. immediate treatment (that he initially refuses, of course)

- “click” as a motif after beginning treatment. is he really there? why can i no longer sense your presence?

- i can see the smallest of atoms, but i somehow cannot see you

- even with his six eyes, satoru is incapable of reinventing the image of suguru

- megumi and others at his exhibit after satoru's death: his photographs look skewed, as if they were taken with the intention to capture a person, as if someone was meant to fill the gap between mountain and lake. as if the entire subject of the photograph was missing.

- that damn picture of rumpled bedsheets. just bedsheets. sunlight filtering through the curtains, hitting the pillow in incandescent golds.
