— Definitely a huge softie, smiles more around kids (shocking!!!) ;

— If they give him any drawings, he'll put them on his office / and if they live together he'll out it on the fridge. No questions asked ;

— Lets them use his scarf for playing, even if not everytime. Be it using it to skip rope, use it as a swing, yada yada ;

— Reads bedtime stories and tells them about some adventures he's had ;

— Would let them use him as their pretty princess (dress him up, give him a makeover, play with his hair) and even have slumber parties.

"..Is it weird to cry when nobody hears you at all?" Vivi tried to blink away her tears. She really did, but they never seemed to stop. Constantly flowing through her face. It felt dumb to cry over such a thing, but she knew it was important. "I.. It feels unfair."

Nami wiped her tears with her thumb. Delicately, softly.

She's also felt the need to scream and shout so somebody, anybody, could head her cries for help. About how they should be careful, and so much more things she wanted to tell everyone back at Cocoyasi. But that's just not how it went. "Oh.. I don't think it's weird at all." The pirate's hands rested on the princess' cheeks, pulling her a bit closer to herself. She thought about touching foreheads, but maybe it would be too soon — too straightfoward, even.

Vivi hiccuped, tears slowing down. Her lips trembled when looking at the red-head's fond eyes. "I feel like you're the only one that really hears me." She pressed her cheek against Nami's shoulder, a hand in her chest. The pirate's hands dropped down to the princess' arms.

"I could hear you every single day, Vivi, no matter how far you are."

"Really..?"

"Yeah. You should be heard just like everyone else.

Late Hugs

a/n: drabble, not proofread, post-ts, wrote what came in my mind

The night's breeze carefully whispered into the wind, embracing certain pirates in a slumbering ship with a lightly cold wind.

It was late, probably somewhere between midnight to 2 AM. The Strawhat's sniper slumped against the Thousand Sunny's railing, fishing, fingers barely gripping the fishing rod. His eyes glazed with the shine of the moonlight, staring at the gleaming vast sea upon him. No fishes at all. But Usopp didn't want to fish. He just wanted to think. Ponder, even, about that day he tried to bury in the back of his mind.

His fight with Luffy.

Of course, it wasn't a pleasant memory. It's been two whole years, but it still felt like it was yesterday. Luffy's raw, unfiltered words towards him. Towards Merry, saying it needed to be changed, replaced, for a better ship. A stronger, useful ship that the Strawhats—that Luffy—could count on.

Usopp let out a sigh. Deep, trembling.

This wasn't just about The Merry, was it?

HE could be changed. Replaced. For someone better, someone stronger, someone useful everyone could count on. Usopp could, just like Merry, it was basically a part of him. Usopp? Usopp was useless. He could've been replaced any time.

"Usopp??.. Why aren't you sleeping?" That firm, yet comfortingly familiar voice hit the sniper's ears so suddenly he jumped, almost falling off the railing.

"GgAH– Lu-Luffy?!" Usopp gave him a light bonk on the head. The captain rubbed his head, but didn't try to hit back. Simply raised an eyebrow. The sniper's heart began picking up a pace."..Uh. I was just fishing. Yeah."

The same black eyes that once stared so angrily at Usopp back then softened, never leaving as Luffy sat right next to him. The captain's legs crossed, a calloused hand on his precious strawhat. A silence settled within the both of them — uncomfortable for Usopp, unknown for Luffy.

"What're ya thinking about?" The Strawhat boy blurted out, leaning in for a moment.

The sniper didn't want to answer.

"Nothing, Luffy! Don't worry about it," he tried to fake a smile, but clearly failed.

Luffy's eyes glared so deeply Usopp felt like he was trying to eat him just by staring. Slowly, the former's hands gently—surprisingly, grabbed the latter's, intertwining their fingers, getting close.

Usopp didn't know, but Luffy would always stare at him like he was the only wandering soul wherever they went. Eyes that could only be for his dear nakama.

"Usopp. I will worry about it. I worry about you! You're my friend, you're my crew!!" The tight grip of Luffy's embrace frightened the sniper.. His arms were firm, encircling around Usopp's waist in a overwhelmingly warm manner. His nose buried deep in the crook of his neck, hands gripping his clothes oh-so-tightly. Were those tears forming in the sharpshooter's gaze?? No! Definitely not.

Small tears fell like a river, wetting Luffy' shoulders. "I don't know what's on your mind, but hey, remember that I care about you soo much!" The captain grinned so brightly, like the sun itself.

"..It's. It's about our- ..fight. Back in Water Seven.." Luffy's grip on his clothes loosened as he backed up to try and see Usopp's face. His expression wasn't so happy, I can say that.

"Usopp." His voice was firm, almost serious, if it wasn't for the softness he'd always carry. "I.. never really blamed you, y'know. I would've let you rejoin either way–"

The sniper's breath hitched.

He took a slow step back, trying to wipe his tears, mouth opening and closing for a second.

"No.. Luffy! I- i was wrong! I shouldn't have gone against you, I mean, I was opposing captain's orders and..!" Luffy placed a hand on his shoulder.

Caring, so so caring.

"I only did it because Zoro said so, Usopp. I forgived you a long time ago." A small smile reached the captain's lips, face softening. He would forgive Usopp over and over and over again, really.

Usopp glanced away, shoulders slumping lightly. Luffy, in response, could only hug him again.

-> She's pretty good with kids, but it's because she sees herself in them, and treats them with care, in hopes that no other kid will ever need to feel lonely or feel like a burden in such a vast sea ;

-> Has reading sessions with Chopper and Brook casually - her go-tos are history and horror, but is beginning to be fond of children's books. Something about them remind her of a warm feeling she can't describe, supposedly a curiosity of how would it be to hear her mother's sweet voice reading them for her ;

-> Has sunglasses on.. All. The. Time. It's not rare to see her using reading glasses and have a pair of sunglasses by her forehead.

— FRANKY

• [Hc belongs to @sampaisleyriot ^^] Franky has a part metal/ part bone skull because he would constantly hit his head when he was growing and the joint between metal and bone lets him relieve concussion pressure (it was his first cyber) ;

-> Is always making some type of craft with Usopp for the rest of the crew — be it a small gadget or a whole ass room ;

-> Unfortunately for everybody, Franky sleep-talks.. Mostly yells 'SUUUUPEEER' ;

-> Another sunglasses truther. He doesn’t remove them at night. He doesn’t remove them when sleeping, not even bathing. The sunglasses stay on.

— BROOK

-> Likes to write poems about the mundane and enjoys watching Usopp paint ;

Sees all form of art as the greatest telling of the experience of life and perspectives even if music is his true form of expression.

-> Brook has separation anxiety and the timeskip made him a bit more crazy. Constantly played himself lullabies to distract his mind, otherwise too many thoughts would pop up on his head because of the silence - in the deepest cracks of his skull, Brook was sure he'd need to die for another 50 years ;

-> Loves having tea parties, be it with the girls, Chopper or all of them. It's relaxing and always makes him smile (even if he doesn’t have lips. Yohoho!) ;

-> has heard of certain individuals called Sans and Papyrus before..

-> Collects bugs with Luffy! Has an sketchbook dedicated to all of the bugs they've collected so far (Nami and Sanji hate it) ;

-> Crippling anxiety.. Usopp is always tired, because he just can't stop thinking and fearing of the unknown. Of what's to come.. When he is tamer, only really has energy to hang out with Luffy and Chopper ;

-> Bffs with Nami!! You can't see Usopp and not see her. Together all the time, be it gossipying or just taking care of their business close to eachother ;

-> Has a pet tarantula he keeps on his workshop. It has tried to befriend the crew several times and failed (Luffy almost stole it, Sanji and Nami cried way too loudly).

— NAMI

-> Speaks a bit of french because Bell'mére taught her and Nojiko ;

Has used that to make Sanji go haywire and obey her—every single order—without complaints (even if he already does that)

-> Kids' number one warrior. Comforts and fights for almost any child that crosses her path without remorse. Loves kids but wouldn't really have one, if you asked her ;

-> Biggest fashionista you'll ever see: Nami always walks around with clothes that look way too expensive but it suits her well. Loves wearing bandanas, fill herself with cute accessories like rings, earrings, bracelets, collars... ;

-> Makes Sanji do her nails. Would do it herself, but help is always welcome! He's surprisingly good at it, too.

— CHOPPER

-> Has no formal medical school education, but has more skill AND medical experience than renowed top students in prestigious medical instituitions ;

-> Has argued with Sanji several times over his smoking habits but understands why he does it — the smell is also oddly comforting since it reminds Chopper of Doctor Hiriluk ;

-> Loves holidays in general, but his favorite is Halloween. It's all for the candy.. (Ironic since he's pretty christmas themed lol) ;

-> Has reading sessions with Robin and ocasionally Brook. Usually Chopper just studies, but has read some of Robin's books.

-> He's not dumb, just misinformed. That being said, you'll feel like you have some of the lowest IQs if you simply ask him about bugs;

would talk about the slightest differences between species, colors, sizes, how many has he seen of that particular species, basically his hyperfixation he won't ever shut up about. .

-> I know he already has his stretchy powers but I think it'd be neat if he had a hypermobility of some sorts. Never ask him to crack his fingers, you WILL be traumatized.

-> (just like in fanarts) Luffy has accessories, tattoos and clothing that honors someone/from islands the crew has been to, or just the timeskip in general. Like earrings Hancock gave him, Ace's beads, Kuja and Alabasta (canon) tattoos, etc etc.

-> Uses a whiny voice to make other attend to his desires (usually uses this on Zoro).

— ZORO

-> He's not actually lost, and is just instinctively walking towards the One Piece (this is satirical..) but the crew unknowingly never lets him go ;

-> Has a softer side for small animals, tries to not show in front of others but everyone knows already ;

-> Began dressing better after the timeskip because of both Mihawk and Perona (they forced him to do so, his clothes were dirty and musty). Also has better wine knowlodge than Sanji himself ;

-> Somehow afraid of needles despite being a literal swordsman. It hits different.

— SANJI

-> Spitting image of Sora (basically canon but who cares), got the goofy expressions and more lovestruck side from her ;

-> Knows how to cook & prepare human meat ;

-> Best cook in the East Blue but has a hard time to cook SH's native food (i.e. Feijoada..)

-> Doesn’t show it but is extremely jealous of Jinbe since not only did he lose his 'best swimmer in the Strawhats' title, the girls chat and drink tea with Jinbe all the time. Upset Nami doesn’t jump on him when spiders appear anymore.

Yet it felt like a sealed fate that, even if the stars unalligned, wouldn't stop. Like an endless cycle, hurting over and over and over again.

Scott believed that he would be the different one — be able to rub it in anybody else's face that HE was the one Ramona chose. But in the end they were right, and he was left behind like all the other seven. Lost, full of rollerblade marks that stomped repeatedly his now conflicted heart. Damaged and wrenching, yet somewhat.. numb. Abandoned, with feelings and problems to solve all by himself.

No, he was just so lovestruck he'd do anything for her, the girl of his dreams. A leaver.

Ironically enough, Gideon requested he joined the League of Evil Exes. The same league Scott had to fight so they could be together. And sometimes that's how life goes ; to turn into what you swore you wouldn't. Scott accepted. It was the only logical option, wasn't it?—even if it left a sour savor in the tongue?—his breath narrowed at the thought.

But oh, how low had he fallen, he wondered. Ramona avoided eye-contact.

A small, lonely alleyway barely sheltered them. Hid them from another ex so in need to fight for someone they knew wouldn't want them back.

It wasn't the best time, rather, it was the worse in everything. An uncomfortable feeling seemed to grow and manifestate from both sides, but Scott felt like he was being eaten alive by.. Whatever he had. A confusing mixture of bittersweet feelings, a crippling anxiety and the way these walls felt as if each blink of an eye made them smaller, to the point it was slowly crushing him from both inside and outside. But at the same time, a dangerous yearning reached from within.

Ramona's voice came out quietly, sudden even.

"..Thanks. For everything you've been doing, I mean." Scott cocked his head slightly, almost afraid of looking at her.

She hugged her arm, trying to stay with an aloof expression. It felt hard to do so.

He tilted his neck back to the other side, lips twitching as he tried fixating his eyes on the road. Scott's fists clenched and unclenched inside his jacket's pockets. He desperately drew in breath, chest rigidly rising up and down. "I promised I'd help."

And he did. Over and over and over again. Because, even with the growing sense that something was out of place..

He'd do it all over again, because Scott knows that in the end, Ramona is.. scared. Scared of who couldn't stop gripping onto the past — follow them ever since they left, in hopes of fulfilling the dreams that everything will be good if they insist on it, doesn’t matter the outcome. Doesn’t matter if she's hurt or not even breathing. Who wouldn't be scared, terrified? Ramona was just twenty-four, barely starting her life.

So, he promised he'd help her. Protect her to the best of his ability, to the bitter end.
