I enjoy colouring portraits. The process here is guided along with good light and a clear capture. Adding detail, I think helped to balance out overall image. I liked painting the characters giving a illustration feel to their natural arrangement. With watercolour pencils and acrylic paint. I’m glad to have seen their joy and appreciation as a couple.

Hear Your Love

I began this creative piece as a result of restorative power of worship.

With the words your love, a shofar is a letter "Y" releasing a music note. Some blood vessels sprout from the the letter "L"

Above the phrase, the human ear adorned with a crescent of diamonds linking around.

@olamidesigna, the original artist of this portrait shared this as a gift and credited it to a friend of some 7 years, more specifically her Sunday school teacher, Nana. The dynamics between the artist and her muse helped to establish a strong basis for their friendship. She also a creative, has a passion for portrait photography. 

When looking at this photo, I do feel encouraged and blessed. This depicts the joy and happiness of a mother and her young son.

An original concept using polyblock engraving and ink, this is a print on paper.

"Tree in Light" is a mixed media piece with details of texture on premium A4 100gsm paper.

Shading was an enjoyable process, I liked blending the watercolours for the tree bush and branch details. Special feature is the Gold acrylic and ink pen application.

“Naomi’s Child” (2013)

Restoring the broken life of a child. Olamide's piece was inspired by a young child who depicted a situation of need.

Naomi's Child was made at Muse Gallery, Portobello Road part of Artisan Collective exhibition - Emotion & Ethnocentrism.

Bread Of Life

There has been a return to natural form of baking as observed by the Egyptians when leaving flour and eater outside and finding that the form rose over days. Pierre Storti is a Head Baker and Chef of Bread and Pastry at the prominent Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair.

He knew God had called him to use his hands.

Pierre took a trip to brazil as he was searching for his artistic inspiration. Getting started he met with a French baker and remained in the company of great encouragement.

Returning home came with challenges. Yet a passionate attitude meant he could work through early starts. He recalled working in France, living near a community of toughened young people, some of whom struggled with drug addiction.

Pierre was aware that God called him to use his hands, which is quite the reason he took teaching the lads as his duty. He has since been working with apprentices each year. A young man appreciated the good heart Pierre offered him, even when misbehaviour pushed him beyond his boundaries.

He uses his platform to serve, and to give an insight into his faith.
