John Winchester Meets Castiel
Set in Season 14 when John comes back…
3rd P.O.V:
“Dean…Dean get up.” Castiel whispered to his boyfriend that was lying on top of him. “Dean, you can’t stop me from going like this.” Dean groaned and moved his head into Castiel’s neck. “Why do you have to leave? We finally have no cases and now you want to go out.”
Castiel smiled softly kissing his forehead, “It’ll be quick, I just need to go check up on one of the hunters. I’ll be back before you know it.” Dean finally rolled off of him and looked up at Cas, “I already know it. You better make it up to me.”
Castiel nods and gives dean a quick kiss. When he pulled away Dean groaned again and rolled back over going to sleep mumbling a “Bye baby.” as Cas left.
……………………………………….
After solving a case earlier in the day, which resulted in some teenagers stealing the impala and realeasing some ghosts upon a party, Sam and Dean were now back at the bunker with a pearl that they’re hoping will fix their Micheal problems.
Sam was standing holding the Baozhu in his hands while Dean sat at the table, with a beer. “John Wayne Gacy’s ghost. Well, that’s one of the record books.” Dean said. “Dean, I think this is it.” Sam told him going over to him.
“The pearl?” Dean asked skeptically. Sam confirmed it so Dean trusted him, “Let’s do it.” Sam stopped Dean as reaching out, “Are you—are you sure you don’t want to call Mom or - or wait for Cas?”
Dean shook his head pearl, “No. No, ‘ceause, you know, if this mojo works like you say, great. If not…why get their hopes up? Besides Cas will be back in a few anyway.” He answered standing next to Sam.
“Yeah.” Sam agreed handing the pearl to his brother. Dean looked at it, “So, what do I…” Sam shrugeed, “I don’t know I-I guess you - you hold the pearl and - and concentrate on what your heart desires.”
“Micheal outta my head. Got it.” Dean picked up the pearl and held it in his hand. He looked at Sam before closing his fist around it, closing his eyes. The lights in the bunker start to flicker, the red emergency lights coming on. Dean opened his eyes as he and Sam look around the room.
A man appeared from behind them and swung at Sam, making Sam move, but the man hits him with his gun, pushing Sam to the floor. Dean swings at the man, but the man hits him several times, sending Dean to the ground, near Sam and they hear a gun cock.
“Don’t you move.” A deep voice said as the emergency light turned off and the regular lights come back on. Dean and Sam looked up at the man in shock, “Dad?”
John looked at the boys in shock, “Dean? Sam? What in the hell?” He asked looking around the room as he boys stood up from the floor. Sam and Dean keped their eyes on him shocked.
“Sammy. Aren’t you supposed to be in Palo Alto?” John asked confused, “Palo Alto?” Dean looked at his father breating heavily. “What happened to you?” John asked.
“What year is it?” Dean said, more like whispered out. “It’s 2003.” John said and Sam’s eyes widened. “It’s 2019.” Sam told him.
“No. How?” Sam looked to Dean but he stayed silent still proccessing, “We, uh…I - I think we summoned you.” He told his father.
“You buys better tell me what the hell is giong on right now.”
……………………………………….
After moving to the kitchen and pouring out a few drinks they explained what their father had missed. “So, you saved the world?” John asked making Dean respond with, “More than once.” as John followed along.
“Then it’s all true. God, the devil, you boys smack in the middle. Now you live in a secret bunker with an angel and Lucifer’s kid.” The boys nodded confirming his understandings. Sam looked at their dad, “Well actually Castiel’s not only an angel he’s D-”
Dean cut him off, “A hunter. He-uh, he’s been hunting for a while helping us out.” Sam gave him a confused look and Dean avoided his eyes. “And you’ve done this whole time-travel thing before?”
Dean nodded, “A few times. Actually, uh, our grandfather, your dad - he’s the one who helped us find this place. I think he’d be really happy to know you’re finally here.” John looked around, “Right. Man of Letters.”
“Yeah. W-We’re legacies…because of you.” Sam said. John smiled at Sam, then chuckled to himself, “So, you’ve um - you’ve been busy.” Sam said, “A little bit.”
John smiled sadly, “I-I don’t…I-I just…I just wish that I had been there to see it.” Dean looked at his dad, “Dad, none of this would have happened without you.” But John shook his head, “It’s good. It’s fine. I-I went out takin’ out Yellow Eyes. I mean, that was the point, right? I mean, get the thing that killed mom.”
Sam and Dean looked at eachtother, “Yeah, yeah, uh, DAd. About Mom…” Sam started until they hear Mary’s voice from the hallway. “Sam? Dean?”
John turned around shocked, “Mary?” Mary walked into the kitchen, and John turned around smiling at her. She walked over to him in shock, as he stood up from the table. Mary smiled at him as John leaned down to kiss her. They embraced eachother as Sam and Dean looked up. Sam gestured for Dean to leave the kitchen, and they boys stood up from the table to leave.
Dean smiled as they walked down the hallway, “It’s Dad. This is amazing, man. I’m - I’m - I’m freaking out.” He said then jumped as Sam hit his head, “Ow! What the h-”
“Why did you lie about Cas?!” Sam asked and Dean paused sighing, “Look, we haven’t seen dad in what, 14 years?! How do you think he’s going to respond to me dating, well, Cas.” Dean leaned against the wall and his eyes closed. “Look just, give me some time. He just got back give it a minute.”
Sam sighed and nodded, “Okay, but you gotta figure it out before Cas comes back. But, how did this even happen?” Dean and Sam continued walking and Dean answered, “I-I-I don’t know . You said that the - pearl gives you what your heart desires, right? So, my heart desired - I - I’ve wanted this, man. I’ve - I’va wanted this since I was 4 years old.”
“Okay, I know, and I-I love this, too, Dean. I do, honestly, but - but messing with time-” Dean cut Sam off, “No, no, no Sam.” Sam sighed, “You know how this ends. Things change.” Dean nodded, “Yeah, great - we got our family back together. I’ll take that change.”
“That’s not waht I mean.” Sam said. Dean groaned and turned towards him, “Stop. Just stop, okay? Look, can - can we just have one family dinner? Just one? Us - all of us together. That’s all I want. Can you just give me that?” Dean asked rhetorically and walked away.
……………………………………….
After finding out that John being there changed the timeline…a little too much, Sam being a talk show hippie, Dean basially a serial killer on the run…and much, much more-they decided to have a last family dinner before they sent John back.
Sam and Dean sat across from John and Mary, everyone quiet, as they ate in silence. John looked up at every one, “Alright. Near as I can tell, we have two choices. Alright, we can think about what’s coming, or we can be grateful for this time that we have together. Now, me…” He laced his hand with Marys and kissed it. “I choose grateful. So, to whatever brought us together, we owe you one. Amen.” The rest of them said Amen as well and started laughing and talking throughout the dinner.
The door to the bunker opened a little later and Castiel walked in Dean’s eyes widening, fogetting to talk to his dad. “Dean, Sam? I saw Mary’s car here is everything alri-” He paused seeing John and looked around. Mary smiled loving Castiel, especially since he makes Dean happy.
“John Winchester…” Castiel said confused. Mary looked at John, “John this is Castiel he’s Dean’s-” Dean cut her off, “He’s the angel. The one we told you about.” Mary looked at him half confused half disappointed. Castiel on the other hand…
“Is that right Dean?” Dean cursed to himself, “He’s right I am the angel I just came to let Sam and Dean know that Katy and Shawn’s hunt is going well. I should get going-” Mary stood up, “Castiel sit.”
Castiel sat in the chair next to Dean’s but moved it further still slightly upset with his boyfriend. Although he could understand why he didn’t say anything yet, it still hurt the angel. “Cmon Cas don’t do that.” Dean said quietly, “So how did you meet the boys Castiel?” John asked curious.
Sam laughed, “He’s the one who gripped Dean tight and raised him from perdition.” Dean glared at his brother, but nodded. “I uh, went to hell for something a while back, and Castiel pulled me out, said my time on Earth wasn’t done.” Dean said smiling at him.
“You were in hell?” John asked and Dean nodded, “Yeah. Met Cas in a shed with Bobby when I got back.” Castiel looked over at John, “He stabbed me.” Mary and Sam laughed, then looked at each other and John looked around, “I feel like I’m missing something.”
Mary looked at Dean, “Dean.” Dean slid up in his seat, “I - Cas is - when -” Castiel looked at Dean and shook his head. “You don’t have to.” He said softly so only they could hear and Dean looked at him and without breaking eye contact said, “Castiel’s my boyfriend.”
He didn’t want to look at John but forced himself to and when John proccessed he nodded and said, “Okay.” Everybody looked straight to him and Dean looked at him as though his head was on fire. “Okay? Okay?!” John laughed.
“Dean, he raised you from hell. He raised you from Damn Hell- and I’m sure he has made sure you haven’t died a hundred times since then-” Castiel said quickly “246 times.” Mary laughed and looked back at John.
“Dean, I see this life you have now and I see in this only 5 minutes that Castiel makes you happy.” Dean smiled and nodded, “Yeah, he does.” Everyone continued eating and talking as Dean grabbed the leg of Castiel’s stool and pulled him closer to his. “Dean I know how hard that was-”
Dean shook his head, “No, I-I’m glad I told him. He’s right, you do make me happy.” Castiel smiled and they went back to the conversation holding hands under the table. “So Castiel 245 times seems like a lot.” John said. “Yes he often disregaurds his safety. Like when he charged in to kill Ruby-” Sam choked on his drink and John looked over.
“Who’s Ruby?” Dean smiled smugly and looked at Sam who shook his head as to say ‘nobody’ but Dean answered, “Ruby is the demon that Sam was…dating?” Sam glared at him, “We were not-it wasn’t-” Mary’s eyes widened, “You dated a demon?!” Sam shook his head, and before he could answer Castiel stepped in, “No, they were simply sleeping together while she used him to resurect Lucifer from a cage in hell.”
Dean, Mary, and John laughed while Sam tried to defend himself to no luck. “Okay, well Dean technically had a daughter.” Dean’s eyes went wide, “No-okay, she was not my-you’re the one who killed her and-”
The rest of the night went on like this until they had to destroy the pearl and send John back, and in doing so put everything back.
Dean and Cas were back in Dean’s bed that night, both in a t-shirt and one of Dean’s sweatpants, this outfit chioce taking a while for Castiel to get used to over the past few years of them dating.
“I have to leave again tomorrow, Rowena said she might have a trail on-” Dean kissed him successfully quieting the angel. “No. You are staying here tomorrow and we are not going to leave this room…okay maybe for breakfast, and lunch…but that is it.”
Castiel smiled and nodded kissing Dean again before Dean lied his head on Cas’s chest falling asleep.

“Dean, No.” - Destiel
set in season 12
summary: Sam, Dean, and Castiel meet up with one of Castiel’s old Angel friends, but Dean get’s a bit jealous and annoyed of him.
Castiel and Dean had been in an official relationship for 3 months. They told Sam about it 1 month ago and were the happiest they had ever been. Even their mom had grown fond of their relationship-seeing Dean this happy for as long as she had been back.
Sam, Dean, and Castiel were waiting in the back corner of a diner close to midnight waiting for one of Casitel’s old Angel contacts from his time up in Heaven. Dean sat next to Castiel their hands locked beneath the table. “Dean, I already know how you’re going to be tonight, but please, please be nice. Just don’t say anything…Dean-ish.”
Dean pulled his head back, “And what is Dean-ish supposed to mean.” Sam laughed and answered for Cas, “You know when you get all grumpy and start saying the thoughts in your head out loud.” Dean just sat back and glared at him.
“So Cas, how do you know this guy-Daiel?” Sam asked leaning forward on the table. “We fought together in Heaven, I’ve known him the longest out of anyone there or here.” “Well that’s not all.” A voice said from behind them.
Team Free Will turned around and stood up when the saw a man standing to the side of the booth. “Hey Cassy.” He said as he hugged Castiel tight. Dean’s eyebrows drew together at this. Who was this guy that thought it was okay to touch Dean’s boyfriend.
“Look at you,” Daiel said as he pulled away still keeping his hands on Castiel’s arms, “even more handsome than the last time I saw you.” Dean glared at the angel and an angel sword dropped down from his sleeve.
Sam saw this and elbowed him, “Dean, no.” Rolling his eyes Dean put it away and reached out to grab Castiel’s hand pulling him back to his side. “It’s good to see you too.” Cas told Daiel.
“You must be Sam and Dean. Cassy told me a lot about you guys.” Dean hummed, “Yeah, Cas really hasn’t told us anything about you.” he said smiling smugly. Castiel groaned, “This is my friend Sam and my boyfriend Dean, my boyfriend who doesn’t listen very well.” Dean looked over at him a smiled.
Castiel looked over at Dean and rolled his eyes. It hadn’t been the first time Dean was jealous of somebody he thought was trying to hit on Cas. There had been a waitress a few weeks back that tried to get his number by writing it on his cup, when Dean saw this he had taken the cup and drank some of the coffee inside, then pressed a kiss to Castiel’s lips.
They all sat back down, Sam and Daiel across from Dean and Cas. “So what’s this meeting about. I’m guessing it’s not just because you missed me.” Daiel said winking at Cas. “No,” Cas started, “we need your help. There’s a sickness going around killing angels and we need to figure out how to stop it before anyone else dies.”
Daiel leaned back, “I’ve heard.” Dean looked over to him, “Well if you’ve heard why haven’t you been doing anything to stop it hm? You just hiding away?” Sam kicked Dean under the table and gave him a look of ‘shut up’.
Daiel smirked, “No actually, I’ve been working with a few other angels to figure out what it is. Can’t stop something you don’t know.” Dean simply rolled his eyes and gripped Cas’s hand tighter.
“Although I do have to say Cassy, I’m surprised you’re not on my team. With a strong, smart leader like you we could figure it out a whole lot faster. I have been trying to find you, but it seems you dropped off the map.”
Castiel nodded, “Yes, I’ve been helping Dean and Sam with some cases. I haven’t really been in any angel business lately.” He looked over at Dean and smiled. Daiel smiled and leaned across the table putting a hand on Castiel’s arm, “Still we can always use your help. I could use your help.” He looked Castiel in the eyes.
Dean shot up, “Alright we’re done here. We can figure this out on our own. Let’s go.” Sam grabbed Dean’s arm and pulled him back to the table. “Dean, maybe we should team up with them. It would help us figure out what this is faster and maybe they have a better way to stop it then what we have. Which is nothing.”
Dean groaned, “We can figure this out okay, we’ve been up against bigger things.” Cas stood up and gripped Dean’s jacket pulling him over to the hall leading to the bathrooms. Dean was looking down avoiding Cas’s puppy eyes. “Dean.” Castiel lifted his chin forcing his eyes up. “This it's important, my family is dying. I know that they may not like me at the moment, but they are still my family. You may not like Daiel but there’s nothing to worry about-they can help us.”
Dean sighed and nodded. “Alright, we’ll work with them.” Castiel smiled softly and pulled him in for a kiss. “By the way. It’s kind of hot when you’re jealous.” He whispered then turned and walked back towards the table.
……………………….
Sam, Dean, and Cas walking into a large office area that was filled with Angels. Daiel walked out of a main room with some people and stopped when he saw the 3. “Hey, thanks for coming guys.” Sam smiled, “Yeah, no problem. So what do we know?” Daiel lead them over to a table which had papers spread out across it, “We know that it’s something Biblical, there’s no current sicknesses that could cause such a big issue with Angels.”
“What if it’s not the Angels that are being affected. It could be their host bodies.” Castiel suggested. Daiel looked over at him and smiled, “Like I said, we need someone smart like you Cassy.” He winked and pulled Castiel over to look at some more papers. Dean grabbed the gun that was in the back of his jeans, “Dean, no.” Sam told him groaning, “What? It’s not going to kill him.”
Sam pulled him to the side, “Look I know you don’t like the guy, but right now we need to work with him, Angels are dying and anybody in this room could be next, that includes Castiel.” Dean groaned knowing Sam was right. “Fine. I’ll work with the douchbag.”
……………….
A few days later they had figured out what was killing the angels: a toxin that slowly destroyed the host bodies so that they wouldn’t know and by the time they did it was too late. Daiel walked over to Sam, Dean, and Cas with his hands in his pockets.
“Thanks again, we couldn’t have done it without you guys.” He looked over at Cas, “Especially without you.”
Daiel walked over and pulled Castiel into a hug staying in it for a minute or two. “I missed you Cassy. Don’t be a stranger.” Castiel pulled away and gave a confused look, “How could I be a stranger? We’ve known each other our whole existences.” Daiel laughed, “Never change Cassy.”
Dean and Cas got in the impala while Sam said a few thank you’s to the Angels really quick. Dean grumbled to himself, “Castiel. It’s Castiel.” Cas smiled and leaned forward wrapping his arms around Dean from the back seat, “Relax Dean, he’s called me Cassy for hundreds of years. But whatever you call me is my favorite thing to be called.”
Dean smiled and leaned his head back on Castiel’s shoulder before turning and kissing his jaw, “Thanks baby.” Castiel smiled, “That is definitely my favorite thing to be called by you.”

"I'm Still Upset"-Dean Winchester
Summary: Dean and his girlfriend get into a fight which lasts all day, but they can't sleep without the other by their side.
Yelling could be heard from all over the bunker, keeping everybody on edge. "Are they still on this stupid argument?" Castiel asked as he walked down the stairs towards Sam who was sitting at the table. "Yeah, almost 3 hours now without a break. It's almost impressive."
"You could have died!" They heard Delilah shouting, "How is that different from every other day?!" Dean responded.
"This time you put yourself in the way on purpose. You're lucky that bullet only hit your side." She dropped her head in her hands sitting in the chair behind her, exhausted from this entire situation.
Dean and Delilah had gone out on a hunt and were chasing down 2 suspects. Delilah had gotten one to the ground and was checking to see if he had the object they were looking for on him when she heard Dean shouting her name.
The next thing she knew Dean pushed her to the side and was holding his side where a bullet had just hit. Looking up she saw the other person holding a gun out and she shot them dead center and they fell to the ground.
“Dean. Dean, you okay? What the hell were you thinking jumping over like that” She ran over and grabbed his head. “What the hell were you thinking letting your guard down like that?” He groaned sitting up.
“Seriously. Dean I had it under control, that was stupid.” She took a step back. “No what’s stupid was almost letting yourself get killed on a rookie mistake.”
And that’s how the rest of the day went. The two of them going back and forth saying whatever came to mind. Sam and Castiel had grown tired of it and went to their rooms attempting to block out the yelling and get some sleep.
“You know what, I’m done with this. I’m going to sleep. In my own room!” Dean told her stomping off. They had usually stayed in one room, switching between Dean and Delilahs, but tonight they went to their separate spaces.
……………………………….
Around 2 in the morning, Dean was lying wide awake in bed staring up at the ceiling unable to sleep. His mind had been racing and every time he closed is eyes, nightmares threatened to come. Usually Delilah helped calm the dreams but she wasn’t with him now.
Delilah had been in her own room with the same issue. Freezing and anxious. Throughout the night she was move closer to Dean and steal his heat, and Dean didn’t mind one bit. She had also gone through experiences in her life that left her with terrifying memories. They had helped each other.
Another 30 minutes later Delilah heard her door open and looked over seeing Dean walking in his face still upset yet tired. He walked over to the bed and climbed in not saying anything and wrapped his arms around Delilah.
Delilah turned over and rested her head in the crook of his neck and tangled their legs together, the cold feeling she had slipping away. Dean let out a breath of relief and closed his eyes starting to fall asleep.
“I’m still upset.” Dean whispered almost asleep. “Me too.” Delilah told him. He pressed a kiss to her head and they both fell asleep, they could continue arguing in the morning.

Unbroken Promises-Derek Hale (p5)
Delilah P.O.V:
I was sitting at the top of the steps watching as Erica and Isaac dragged Jackson into the middle of the room. Usually I’d be against this type of method Derek uses, but this kids a little jackass so I’ll allow it this once.
“What happened to you on the night of the full moon?” Derek asked from his spot in the corner, “What?” Jackson asked slightly agrivated, “Nothing. Nothing happened.”
Dered looked up at him, “You’re lying.” Jackson at this point was breathing heavily. Derek started putting on gloves and Jackson got even more anxious “No, wait! No, wait! I can—I can prove it. I taped myself.”
Isaac and Derek laughed, and I gotta admit I did too, what the hell is he trying to say? “You taped yourself?” Isaac asked him amused.
Jackson looked at him and started getting angry, “Yes, it was the full moon. And maybe, while you were curled in the corner having an existential crisis about turning into a monster, I was preparing for the gift your so-called Alpha promised me. And what did I get? Nothing.”
I leaned forward on my knees. His body’s rejecting the bite if nothing happened. Or he’s the Kanima-either way he’s screwed.
“You want proof? Let me get the video.” Jackson tried to bargain. Derek smiled to himself then shook his head, “No.” He pulled the broken piece of the mirror out from behind his back. “No, I have a better idea.”
Jackson’s eyes filled with panic. “What is that?” He asked as Isaac and Erica got him on his knees. Derek stood up and started walking over to him. Jackson was struggling but Isaac held his mouth open.
“You know, Jackson, you’ve always been kind of a snake, and everyone knows a snake can’t be poisoned by its own venom.”
He then walked closer and tilted the mirror over Jakson’s mouth as some of the Kanima goo dropped inside. Erica and Isaac let him go as Jackson froze up unable to move.
Sooo, not the Kanima. Isaac and Derek looked at each other and Derek sighed, then walked over and crouched next to the frozen boy.
“You’re still a snake Jackson. Just not the one we’re looking for.” Then he walked up the stairs towards me and before we left I heard Isaac downstairs, “You’re still gonna have to do one more thing for us. Well, actually, for me.” Then he walked up the stairs to us and the three of us drove to the loft, Erica got into her own.
…………………..
Derek P.O.V:
We got back to the loft and Isaac immediately went over to the fridge, searching through it like I don’t feed him-well, like Delilah doesn’t feed him. Lilah and the twins have been staying over more often, and it’s perfect. Having the three of them, and I guess Isaac sometimes, is the best part of my life.
Boyd was at the counter on his phone talking to Isaac about what happened with Jackson, and Delilah was outside on the phone. When she walked in she looked stressed and walked over dropping her head on my chest, something she’s done since we were ini highschool. I laughed and wrapped my arms around her. “What’s wrong?”
She looked up at me, “There was a pipe burst at the school so now I gotta go pick up Eli and Liah but my mom really needs my help at the diner. So I called Melissa but she’s working a double tonight and I know you have to find out what’s going on with the lizard—which means I have to find a last minute sitter—”
“We can watch them.” We turned around and saw Isaac and Boyd looking at with a bag of chips between them. “What?” I asked.
“Now that I’m not longer wanted by the sherrif station I can go out again, so me and Boyd can take them to the arcade or something.” Boyd nodded seeming okay with the idea. I looked down at Delilah and she looked like she was thinking about it, “You guys wouldn’t mind?” She asked.
They shook their heads, then Lilah looked up at me, “I’m good with it.” I nodded and she smiled thanking the boys then calling the school letting them know that Isaac and Boyd would be picking up the twins.
I walked over to the two of them and grabbed the back of their necks draggin them over to the window, the two of them wincing. “Listen to me very carefully. If anything-and I mean anything, happens to either of the twins, the bones I have broken so far will be nothing compared to what I will do. Understand.” They both started nodding quickly.
Isaac looked back, “We are however going to need a mode of transportation.” I glared at him and pulled my keys out of my pocket putting them in Boyds hand. Isaac’s jaw dropped, and Boyd smirked at him.
Delilah walked back in and clapped her hands, “Alright everythings ready, thanks again guys.” I walked back over to her, “Are you completely sure about this?” She smiled and kissed me before reaching into my back pocket causing my eyes to go wide. Lilah laughed and pulled back holding up my wallet.
I glared at her, “Seriously.” She shrugged, “For the twins.” I rolled my eyes. She walked over and handed my card again to Boyd. They better be smart about this.
…………………..
Isaac P.O.V:
Boyd and I walked downstairs and made our way to Derek’s car, “Can’t believe he gave you the keys.” I grumbled buckling my seatbelt. He laughed and started the car putting the school into the GPS.
Atleast I was able to pick the music, and we listened to my favorite playlists the whole way there. When we pulled up to the front of the school I got out and walked inside to the check-in counter. “Hi I’m picking up Eli and Thalia Hale.”
The lady at the front desk gave me the bitchiest look I’ve ever seen. Is she really allowed to work with children? “And what is your realtion to them?” I rested my hands on the desk, “I’m their brother.” I told her smiling.
She looked me up and down the rolled her eyes. Again I say, bitch. “You’ll have to sign them out on that form.” I looked over and pulled the clipboard over to me filling out all the spots. “Isaac!” I turned to my right and saw Eli running towards me.
I smiled big and picked him up placing him on my side. “Hey kid, you’re hanging out with me and Boyd today. That cool with you?” He nodded quickly. Something hit my leg and I looked down seeing Thalia with a slight frown. “Hi Izzy.”
I picked her up and she put her head on my shoulder, I’d have to ask her about that in the car. “Hi hon, do you know this man?” The front desk lady asked not changing her expression for the twins, Eli gave her a sass face, “He’s our brother lady.”
I pursed my lips trying not to laugh and she glared at me before going back to her computer. I walked outside towards the car with them and Eli turned to me, “Mommy doesn’t like her.” I laughed out loud this time, “Yeah me neighter buddy.”
I set them down and Eli ran over to the other side of the car and got in his car seat, buckling himself in-then started talking to Boyd. I helped Thaliah in the car and grabbed her bag, the crouched down next to her level.
“Hey T, what’s wrong?” She looked up at me with sad eyes that broke my heart. “Tyler.” Who is this Tyler and what do I have to do to him?
“Who’s that bubs?” I asked. “He’s the boy that sits next to me and he keeps annoying me. Like he kicks my foot and takes my pen all the time.” I dropped my head, “Lia, I think he has a crush on you.” Boyd answered for me, she furrowed her eyebrows, “Sometimes when a boy likes a girl he teases her, or annoys her.”
She scrunched up her face, “But boys are weird.” I smiled and hugged her, “Always think that Thal, never fall in love please. No ones good enough.” She smiled and hugged me back already her bouncy happy self again.
I got in the car and Boyd drove off towards the arcade. Now back to themselves, Eli and Thalia chattered away in the back seat, so much that I was slightly relieved when we parked.
Making our way inside their eyes got huge and went to run off but Boyd and I caught them, “Not so fast.” He said with Thalia in his arms. “You guys gotta stay by us okay?” They groaned but nodded.
We walked up to the counter and a girl walked over, “Hi, how can I help you?” I handed her Derek’s card which I had swiped from Boyd in the car. “Can we fill a card up please.” She nodded, “Sure how much?” I looked at Boyd and we smiled, “$100 please. We’ll probably be back for more later.” I joked.
She smiled and walked to the back to fill the game card. Boyd pulled out his phone and read me the text he got, “Derek said he saw the charge on his phone.” “And?” “He said he’s going to kill us.”
I laughed and put Thalia down next to Eli and told them to smile, they did and it was clear they were incredibly happy being here and spending all their dad’s money. Boyd laughed and sent a photo to Derek who left him on ‘read’.
The girl came back with the cards and handed back both. “Have fun.”
“Alright guys, where to first?” They looked at eachother and thought for a moment before announcing at the same time, “Claw machine.” The, exact, same, time. That’s never gonna not be creepy.
“Alright claw machine it is.” Boyd grabbed Eli’s hand and I grabbed Thalia’s as we made our way to the back. After trying several times and getting nothing the twins started to give up but I looked at Boyd and tilted my head towards the back of the machine. He nodded and walked around to stand there.
“Alright let’s try again.” I told them swiping the card on each of their machines. This time however they had a little extra help, and as the claw missed a toy, Boyd gave the games a slight push and 3 stuffed animals fell into each slot. Thalia and Eli started jumping up and down beyond excited.
And that’s how most of the day went. Eli and Thalia trying to win certain things, me and Boyd giving them some help. We were now at the racing games and the twins were going against eachother on Mario Kart. Eli won in the end and Thalia groaned tilting her head back in the chair to look at me.
“Can you and Boyd race now?” I looked at him and shrugged, “Sure.” We went to walk over to the bigger car racers, but they pulled out hands, “No you gotta do this one.” Boyd and I looked at eachother and groaned before trying to manuver into the seats.
I looked over and started laughing seeing him in the child size chair. “Shut up.” I calmed down after a little and we started our race, getting surprisingly competetive for a kids game. I won in the end after cheating a little but he doesn’t have to know. “Alright guys where to next?”
I turned around and didn’t see either twin. Shooting up out of the chairs Boyd and I started running around calling their names, but ran into each other again, “Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. Derek’s going to murder us. Like he’s seriously going to—I don’t even know what he’s going to do. He’s going to invent a new way to kill us.”
I ran my hands through my hair pacing back and forth. I had one job, one job and I lost my little brother and sister. “Forget Derek, what about Delilah?” Boyd mentioned, “I mean we lost her kids, she’s going to be a complete mess-” I grabbed the front of his shirt, “You’re, not, helping!”
“Uh oh!” Boyd showed me his phone and I saw Derek’s number flashing across it. “Can we just not answer?” I asked, “No he’s going to think somethings wrong.” he answered. “Something is wrong!”
“I know that stop yelling!” “Well now you’re yelling!” The phone turned off and our eyes went wide as we looked at each other. Then it lit up again with Derek’s number flashing. Boyd pressed answer and put it on speaker.
“Hey Der, what’s up?” he asked trying to calm his voice. “Hey. Everything okay over there? Where’s the twins?” I cleared my throat before speaking up, “Everythings great, they’re playing a game and really into it, so we should—”
Derek cut me off, “Isaac put them on the phone.” I swear at that moment I could’ve started crying. “Listen I would but they’re really into this game. Last time they lost focus I swear I thought they were going to break something. But we’ll call you back when they’re finished.”
There was silence for a second then a sigh, “Alright fine—but what are you guys buying. Seriously what the hell?” I started checking my pockets, Derek’s card was gone…maybe this is why Delilah gave it to Boyd.
“Uh, which purchases are you talking about? Cause I think they’re all pretty normal.” Boyd asked. “Normal? $75 candy store, $50 pet store, what were you even doing at the pet store?”
I looked at Boyd, oh crap. No, no, no, no, please no. “Yeah those sound pretty normal to me—hey listen we gotta go but we’ll call as soon as the twins are done.” Without another word Boyd hung up and we ran out to the pet store.
The twins had asked when we got here if they could get a dog, but we figured they meant like a stuffed animal or something from the prize counter. But there’s no way a store would just sell a dog to two little kids. Right?
Well I couldn’t have been more wrong. We got to the pet store and I saw Eli and Thalia walking out, and Thalia had a puppy in her arms, the two of them smiling big. “Hi Izzy.” Thalia said as we got to them.
“Where were you guys!” Boyd asked picking Eli up. I picked Lia, and well the dog, up and grabbed the credit card that was in her hand. “Doggy store.” Eli strugged like it was no big deal. “We told you guys to stay by us.” I told them walking back into the pet store.
Hopefully they have a return policy on dogs. “But you guys were racing.” I sighed and Boyd and I placed them on the counter, “You guys can’t run off like that we thought we lost you.”
They looked down, “We’re sorry.” “It’s okay guys but stay by us from now on. Okay?” They nodded and I was reminded of the animal Thalia was holding when it barked and started licking my hand.
“Can we keep him?” I shook my head, “Sorry guys, he’s gotta go back.” A man walked up to the counter, “Actually he can’t. We don’t accept returns of dogs after they’ve been sold.”
I looked over at him, “Who the hell sells a dog to two children!” He shrugged, “A sales a sale.” Before I could get angry Boyd shook his head and pulled us out of the store. “Alright I guess the dogs here to stay.” he told them.
“Does he have a name?” I asked and they started smiling big and nodded. “Isaac.” They shouted. Boyd scoffed and I smiled at him. “Alright, I think we’ve had enough fun today, wanna head home?” He asked clearly jealous.
“Alright, but first things first.” I called Derek who immediately answered, “Hi daddy!” The twins shouted and we could hear him sigh in relief, “Hey guys. You headed home?” They nodded, “Yeah.”
“Alright well I’ll see you soon. Love you guys.” This time even Boyd and I answered, “Aww you’re too sweet.” “We love you Der Bear.” Then I hung up and we walked out to the parking lot.
The whole time Boyd was trying to convince the twins to name the dog after him but they kept shooting the idea down. “No, his names Isaac.”
………………….
We walked in the loft and saw Derek and Delilah sitting at the kitchen counter with a bowl of fruit in front of them. We left other Isaac outside the door with Boyd as a surprise. “Hi mommy, hi daddy.” Eli ran over. I was holding Thalia who claimed she was too tired to walk.
“Hey bubba, how was your day?” Delilah picked him up and kissed him on the head. “It was amazing, Izzy and Boyd took us to the arcade.” “Oh they did, did they?”
Derek walked over to me holding his hand out. I placed his credit card in his hand as well as his keys. “Where’s Boyd?” I nodded my head towards the door and he walked over pulling it open.
As soon as it was completely open dog Isaac ran through is legs towards Eli who was sitting on the floor waiting for him. It started to lick his face and Eli laughed petting him. “What. The. Hell. Is. That?” Derek asked me and Boyd.
Thalia answered in a tired voice, her head still on my shoulder, “That’s Isaac. He’s our new dog. But we can call him Isy.” I smiled at Derek who’s eyes were wide. Delilah walked over to dog Isaac and picked him up. “Hello cutie. Oh Derek he is actually really cute. Hi Isy.” She started petting him.
Derek shook his head, “Nope, no dog.” Eli groaned and walked over dropping his head on Derek’s leg then looked up at him, “Pleaaaaase.” He made his best puppy dog eyes, Derek looked at him and tried not to give in but we all knew that wasn’t possible.
He picked Eli up, “Fine-but you guys are going to have to take care of him.” Eli started nodding quickly, “We will.” Derek set him down and he ran over to Delilah who was now sitting on the floor. Boyd dropped all the stuffed animals, and dog toys, and pretty much everything else that the twins got today on the couch.
“Alright, well I’m out. I gotta head home.” We all waved at him and I looked down, Thalia had fallen asleep, I walked over to the couch finding the one empty spot and sat down on it, feeling the tiredness as well.
These two really take the energy out of me. “Izzy?” I looked down and hummed, “you’re a good big brother.” Thalia whispered before placing her head in the crook of my neck and falling asleep again.
I smiled to myself and hugged her before turning and laying my head down on a giant turtle with my feet resting on the end of the couch—falling asleep too.
Derek P.O.V:
“You’re a good big brother.” I heard Thalia say before she and Isaac fell asleep on the couch. I smiled and walked over sitting next to Delilah. Eli was running around with dog Isaac, I’m surprised he’s still awake, it’s like he has an endless suply of energy.
“She’s right you know,” Delilah said, “he is a good big brother.” I nodded, “Yeah he is.” I’m glad the twins have him. He’s a good kid and didn’t deserve the life he had before this. But he’s with us now.
Isy ran over and jumped in my lap looking up at me. “Hey, you’re not so bad.” I petted him and he crawled over in Delilah’s lap falling asleep. Eli walked over slowly and sat in my lap, “What’s up little man?”
He leaned his head back, “Tired.” is all he said before falling asleep. I laughed and picked him up carrying him to what was now his and Thalia’s room. Walking out I saw Delilah on her phone, Isy asleep as well.
I went to move Thalia to the room but decided against it and just placed a blanket over her and Isaac. “Night kid.”

Day Off-Sam Winchester
Summary: Sam and his girlfriend Avery are left in the motel room on a free day, Dean off doing what Dean does, leaving the couple to decide what to do.
“Alright guys I’m headed out. Call if you need anything, and if you’re going to have sex, just keep it away from my side of the room.” Dean told the couple making a face before heading out the door. Avery and Sam heard the sound of the Impala getting softer and softer knowing he was finally gone.
“So,” Sam looked over at Avery from his spot at the kitchen table, “what do you want to do?” Avery got up stretched then walked over to the bed and dropped down in the middle, “I want to sleep.” Sam laughed, “We have a free day, and you want to sleep?”
Avery hummed a responce and settled into the pillows more. “Mhm, sleeeeeeep.” Sam looked over and saw that she had dozed off and started looking around for things he could do, eventually settling on reading a book. He had ended up on Dean’s bed because Avery had been stretched out in the middle of theirs.
30 minutes later, Avery started to stir and opened her eyes looking over to see Sam, he was lying on his back with a book propped up on his knees, something random he found about greek myth.
She decided to let him have time to read his book and walked over pressing a kiss to his forehead before going to the desk and scrolling on her phone.
25 more minutes had passsed and Avery was getting bored. She was now spinning in circles in the desk chair, her head back as she stared at the ceiling. Looking over at her boyfriend she let out a not so subtle sigh hoping to get his attention.
“Sam?” She whispered but got no response. “Saaammmy?” Again nothing. Groaning she picked up a book that was at the desk and tried to distract herself. Avery flipped through a few pages not reading any of them then groaned and slid down in the chair onto the floor.
Sam was deep into reading, already halfway through his book, when he felt something resting on his knees but didn’t look up. “Hm?” He asked only half paying attention.
“Saaaaaam.” He looked up and saw his girlfriend staring down at him pouting. Sam started laughing and close the book but stayed in his spot, “Can I help you?” Avery rolled her eyes and groaned, “Can we do something?” Sam laughed again “I thought you were tired.” He teased her.
“I’m not anymore. Can we please do something?” Sam smiled and sat up pressing a kiss to her lips, “Okay, what do you want to do? Anything, it’s up to you.” He told her. Avery sat there for a minute thinking before a soft smile set on her face, “I want…” She moved from her spot resting on her knees to lying beside him and put her head on his chest. “To stay right here with you.” She said closing her eyes.
Sam wrapped his arms around her and started laughing, “You just woke up. Don’t you want to go out? See a movie, get food, something like that.” She shook her head and draped an arm over him, “Nah, just wanna be with you.”
“Can I read my book while we lay here?” He asked softly as he ran his fingers through her hair. Avery laughed and nodded, so he picked up his book and started where he left off.
Sam eventually finished his book and placed it on the bedside table, wrapping his arms tighter around his sleeping girlfriend and dozing off himself. But before he could fully fall asleep the motel room door swung open, “Oh what the hell? I told you to stay off my bed!”
Avery woke up and her and Sam started laughing, “Realx Dean we just fell asleep.” He threw his hands in the air, “You know you guys have a perfectly good bed right there.” The two of them shrugged making Dean groan and give up his argument. Walking over to the fridge he pulled out a beer and went over plopping on the other bed. “Guess we’re switching.”

Unbroken Promises-Derek Hale (p4)
3rd P.O.V:
Delilah walked up to the loft door with Eli and Thalia standing behind her. They were both nervously bouncing, although there was excitement there as well.
Thalia had explained that they were going to meet somebody very important, who they had been waiting to meet their whole lives. Their dad…
“Mommy, who was that guy that you were talking to last night?” Eli asked as the three sat at the table for breakfast. Delilah took a deep breath and folded her hands in her lap to stop them from shaking. “Eli, Thalia-do you remember what mommy told you when you were younger about your Daddy?”
“Well the man I was talking to, his name is Derek, and he’s your dad.” She figured there was no point in dancing around it, “He wants to meet you, is that what you guys want?”
Their eyes were big as they nodded quickly.
Delilah knocked on the giant door and seconds later it flew open revealing Isaac, his eyes went wide at the sight of the twins and quickly moved out of the way to let them inside. Delilah looked over and saw Derek sitting on the couch bouncing his leg nervously.
“I’ll be in my room.” Isaac said before running upstairs. Derek looked up and smiled, but stayed in place. He was scared that if he went closer then he would scare the twins and he couldn’t do that, they were all the family he had left.
Delilah knelt down and pulled Eli and Thalia in front of her as they started at Derek, “This is Derek, this is your dad.” Eli froze and seemed to exhibit the same nerves as Derek.
Thalia on the other hand, she walked over to her father and climbed up in his lap like she’d done it a thousand times. It had looked so natural, Derek’s eyes met hers and he knew in that moment she had complete control over him, just like Delilah did, and he was sure it’d be the same with Eli.
“Mommy said, you had to go away for a while cause you were sad, but that you still loved us, and would find us one day. Are you still sad?” She asked calmly not breaking eye contact with him.
Derek smiled big and wrapped his arms around her in a hug, “No baby, I’m not sad anymore. I-” He paused, “I love you.” She smiled and hugged him tighter, “I love you daddy.”
Eli after seeing this ran over and Derek slid off the couch, now sitting on the ground to wrap his arms around him. “I love both of you so much. I’m not leaving again, I promise.”
Delilah was watching with tears falling down her face. She knew that Derek was going to be good with them but she never imagined how much love he would see in his eyes, it was the same way he looked at her.
The way he still did.
“Daddy, did you know I’m named after your mommy?” Thalia asked as the three pulled away from the hug. He laughed, “Yeah, I did. And Eli is named after your mom’s grandfather.” He said as he ran a hand through Eli’s curls.
Eli laughed and tried to swat his hand away but ended up hitting Thalia to which she gasped and hit him back. “Hey, mine was an accident!” She stuck her tongue out at him and he started chasing her.
Delilah walked over and sat on the ground next to Derek as they watched the two race around the loft. “So as you can see they got you’re energy and impulsiveness.” Derek smiled and looked over at her, “Del, I’m so sorry. I should have answered, I left you all alone and I should have been ther-”
“Derek don’t. I understand why you left. At first I was hurt and angry but over the years I started to let go of that. Especially seeing the way that these two hurricanes acted with each other. They reminded me so much of you and I couldn’t stay mad.”
“So is that why you were throwing things at me in the diner the other day?” He asked with a smirk. Delilah laughed, “Maybe I had some left over anger, but I promise it’s gone now.”
They looked each other in the eye and stared there for a minute, before hearing screams of laughter.
Delilah and Derek looked up seeing Eli hanging upside down from Isaac and Thalia clinging onto his leg. “Mommy! Can we keep him? He’s fun.” Delilah laughed and walked over tickaling Eli then lifting him up, “Well seeing as he’s not a stray dog, no we can’t keep him.”
Eli and Thalia started pouting, “But, you can see him whenever we come to see daddy.” They sated smiling again Eli jumped down running over to Derek, “Daddy, can we come over tomorrow?”
Derek looked at Delilah, “I don’t know buddy, it’s up to your mom. Plus I’m going to be teaching Isaac some stuff it’s going to be really boring.” Eli melted into Derek and started groaning.
Thalia ran over and wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, sitting on the couch. “Pleaseeee? We won’t be bored, and mommy will say yes.” Looking up at her Derek gave in and nodded, “Sure baby you guys can come over.”
Delilah’s jaw dropped, “Derek Hale, when did you become so weak?” Derek gave her a playful glare. “When my daughter asked. She’s my little girl she gets what she wants.”
“Hey why don’t you guys go play with Isaac for a little bit I gotta talk to your mom.” Derek said, the two running over clinging to Isaac again, already laughing.
“Del, you should know something. There’s a new creature in Beacon it attacked a kid named Stiles at the auto shop, and I’m going to talk to him about it tonight at the game.”
“Talk to him about it or scare him into telling him what he knows?” Derek stayed silent, “Derek.”
“Does it matter?” Delilah threw her hands up in the air, “Yes, it matters Derek this is the reason I said I’d be helping you, because you clearly don’t think before you go off and do crazy stuff like this. Tonight when you talk to Stiles, I’m going to be there.”
......................
Delilah P.O.V:
“Well if it isn’t Derek Hale?” I heard behind me. I turned around and saw Derek hugging my mom. “Hi Ms. D.” He said smiling. “I heard you were back in town, and about your sister. I’m so sorry.”
She then hit his head, “Why didn’t you come sooner? You were here for a year probably living in some run down shack.” I smiled and laughed, “Actually a burnt run down shack.” I told her refering to the old Hale house.
Mom gasped and hit him again, “Derek Hale!” He rubbed his arm, “Is this where you get it from?” He asked me. I went to respond but sumbled when Thalia and Eli ran past me and jumped for Derek.
He caught both of them and was holding them as they gave him hugs and immediately started asking him questions, “Daddy, where’s Issac?” Lia asked. “He’s at the loft right now. Maybe you can go see him later.” Derek told her pressing a kiss to her cheek and Eli’s forehead.
Thalia nodded before telling Derek all about her day. All, about, it. I was surprised Derek was able to keep up with her, must be some werewolf superability he has. I walked over and picked up Eli out of his arms and placed him at the counter on a stool.
“You, young man need to finish your math homework.” He groaned and leaned back in the chiar, “But I want to talk to dad.” Derek walked over to him, “Sorry little man work comes first.”
I smiled and walked around the counter leaning on it in front of Eli, “How about you finish your work now and then we can head over to dad’s loft,” I looked up at Derek, “If that’s okay with you?”
Derek smiled big and nodded sitting next to Eli who started working eagerly on his assignment.
“So, when are you planning on talking to Stiles?” I asked Derek. “Tonight, at the game. Scott will be playing so that will give me a minute to get to him.” Thalia looked up at him, “You know uncle Scotty?”
Derek tilted his head back and forth, “In a way.” Thalia nodded and started playing with his fingers. “I can leave the twins with Isaac if that’s alright wiht him and come with you.” “You don’t need to do—”
I cut him off, “I’m coming with you Derek Hale. You’re not going to intimidate Stiles into talking.” I gave him a look to finish the conversation. “I’m done!” Eli declared getting our attention.
I pulled his paper to me and started reading over the equations. “Eli, 12+15 is not 32.” He sighed, “You just said I had to be done. You didn’t say it had to be right.”
Derek looked at me, “He’s right, you did say that.” I glared at him and groaned, “Alright fine, let’s go.” The twins cheered and we made our way out of the diner towards the loft.
…………………..
We got to the loft and Derek swung open the door before the twins barreled into it due to their race. “I won.” Eli said smiling big, “No, I did. Daddy, who won?” Thalia asked. “How about you both win.” They pouted before hearing footsteps coming down the staris.
“Isaac!” Eli and Thalia ran over and jumped at him, Isaac barely having time to catch them both. “Hey guys, whatcha doing here?” He asked placing them on the stools so they were at his height. Well, almost.
“Mommy and Daddy said we could come over here so that we could see you, and play.”
“Hey Isaac, I was wonderinf if you could watch the twins tonight while I handled somethig with Derek. You know with you being a fugitive and not being able to go out.” He laughed and nodded, “Sure I can watch them.”
“Mommy what’s a fudge-a-tive?” Thalia asked her face scrunched up confused. “Isaac is on time out from the police hon.” I answered, no point in softening the truth. Thalia nodded, satisfied with the answer.
“Can you play with us please?” Eli said wrapping his arms around Isaac’s neck and hanging off him. Isaac laughed, “Sure, what are we gonna play?”
Thalia and Eli looked at each other, “Hide and Seek, start coutning.” Then they jumped off the stools giving me a near heart attack and ran off to hide.
Derek sat on the couch and I took off my jacket and threw it over the coffee table before I plopped down next to him. “You know there just so much like you. Down to the annoying food habits.” Derek looked at me a raised an eyebrow. “And what are these habits?”
I laughed, “You know stealing food off my plate. They do it all the time to each other, although they did also get my irritation of it and it usually ends in me having to end an argument.”
“Oh, come on, you love when I do that.” He smiled cheekily. “No, no I distinctly remember hitting you multiple times because you couldn’t keep your hands off my plate.”
“Not the only time you hit me cause I couldn’t keep my hands off something.” I gasped and my eyes widened. He did not just— I hit him on the shoulder, “Derek Hale!” He threw his head back laughing.
“Our children are in the other room.” “So they can’t hear us.” I groaned and slid down in the seat. “So,” He started the mood shifting to, something. I couldn’t tell what it was, “have you gone on any dates since they were born?”
I took a deep breath. “Um, no. No I haven’t.” I turned my head sideways and looked into his eyes. “And even though I’d love to say that it’s because I had no time, I just could never seem to get over this guy I dated in highschool.”
Derek smiled a bit, “Well he sounds like a hell of a guy.” I nodded slowly, “Yeah he was. Smart, good at basketball, hot…good kisser too.” We both leaned in, “Wonder if that’s still the case.”
We leaned in further our lips about to touch, “Derek. Is this a good idea?” I whispered. “I have no idea,” his hand reached up cupping my face, “let’s find out.” He then smashed his lips to mine and I responded, quickly kissing him back.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours, it was just like highschool again, fireworks going off and butterflies in my stomach. I pulled back, “The twins—” He pulled me back into the kiss before whispering, “Are with Isaac.”
We continued to kiss until we heard giggles and looked up seeing Eli, Thalia, and Isaac all sitting on the staircase watching us. Well more like Eli and Thalia trying to move Isaac’s hand from covering their eyes, his closed tight as well.
Derek cleared his throat and shifted in his seat turning towards them, “And what are you three doing?” Isaac dropped his hands knownig it was safe for the twins to look, “Playing hide-and-seek?” Eli said more like a question.
I laughed and pushed my hair behind my ear, “Well, now that you guys were found, I think it’s time to head home, hm?” “Nooo.” They groaned drawing it out.
“Can we stay till tonight please?” Thalia asked. I looked at Derek and he was already looking at me waiting for an answer. Guess he was okay with it. “Alright you can,” they started cheering, “but, you guys have to take a nap before tonight.”
“Buzzkill.” Eli whispered, “What was that?” I asked him giving my best mom look. His eyes went wide and he jumped to hide behind Isaac, “Nothing. Promise.” I hummed and waved my hands at them to which they all left.
“So, where were we?” Derek asked leaning in but I pressed a hand against his chest and sighed, “Derek. That-what just happened-I, I just don’t want things to get complicated.”
He furrowed his eyebrows, “What’s going to get complicated. This is us Lilah, we are the most natural thing in the world.” “We were yeah. But now with the twins and this new monster running around Beacon I don’t want you to get distracted and something to happen. This is dangerous shit Der.”
He placed his hand on my thigh and the other wrapped around mine. “I know that, but trust me when I say I will never let anything happen to either of them, or you. Delilah you’ve been my world since we were 15 and now I have two more of you. I lost you once, and it was completely my fault, but I’m here and I’m not leaving. So please, please don’t let me loose you again.”
By the end of his talk his eyes were locked onto mine and I could tell he meant it. He wasn’t going to let anything happen to Eli and Thalia…or to me. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach again and I leaned forward pressing a kiss to his lips.
The kiss grew more before we heard the same giggles as before, I pulled away and rolled my eyes looking up to see the three in the same spot as last time. “All right, that’s enough from you.” I told them.
Standing up I grabbed my jacket and put it on pulling my hair out the back. “I have to go see Melissa about some stuff, but I will meet you at the game so we can talk to Stiles.” Derek nodded getting up and walking me to the door.
I stepped outside before turning around and pressing a final kiss to his lips. “Have fun with them. And trust me don’t give them any sugar before their nap or they will be bouncing off the walls and never let you put them down.” He nodded and smiled.
I turned around and headed downstairs in the elevator then walked to my car. ‘This is going to work out. Right?’
…………………..
3rd P.O.V:
Delilah walked into the hospital with two coffees in her hand going straight for the check-in counter where Melissa was spinning around in her chair. “Well this looks productive.” Delilah laughed placing one of the coffees down in front of her.
Melissa pushed herself closer to the desk and picked up the cup taking a sip. “Well what can I say, slow day. So where were you all morning, Scott and I stopped by the diner for some lunch but you weren’t there.”
Delilah nodded and looked down at the cup in her hand playing with the sleeve, “Yeah, I was with Derek. The twins are actually over there right now.” Melissa’s eyes widened, “Wow. That’s—are you sure that’s a good idea?”
Delilah nodded, “Yeah, I trust him. Damn, Lissa you should see him with them. Especially Thalia, it’s like they’ve known eachother their whole lives. He’s so good with them.” Melissa nodded, “And, how is he with you?” she asked with a knowing look.
“Well, there may have been…a kiss or two today—ugh am I am idiot.” Delilah asked leaning forward dropping her face in her hands.
“No honey, no you’re not an idiot. You’re just, in love. I mean you have been with this guy for 7 years. Of course there’s still going to be feelings.” Melissa told her placing a hand on her arm.
“Yeah, yeah I guess you’re right. It did feel like being in highschool again. Like there was nothing else in the world just us.” Delilah said with a huge smile on her face. The two of them continued to talk till Melissa got off her shift which was a little over an hour later.
Delilah decided to head to the game with Melissa, which worked even better since Scott had her car. When she got there, Delilah told her friend that she would catch up but needed to check on the twins and made her way towards the school.
She saw Stiles heading inside quickly and followed behind him, but she lost him in one of the halls and started looking around.
“Stiles.” Derek asked walking over with Erica besides him and a basketball in his hands. “Derek…” Stiles said testing him. “What did you see at the mechanic’s garage?”
Stiles took a deep breath, “Uh, several alarming EPA violations that I”m seriously considereing reporting—” he told Derek evasively.
Derek simply stared at him before popping the basketball that was in his hands. “Holy God!” Stiles yelled his heart speeding up.
“Now Derek I’m sure there are better ways to ask someone a question.” Delilah said standing right behind him.
Derek turned around and she gave him a look which told him she was unimpressed with his ways of communication.
Derek huffed, “Stiles, hon. What did you really see at the garage. This is important, please.” She said taking a step towards him.
“All right, the thing was pretty slick looking. Um, skin was dark. Kind of patterned. Uh, I think I actually saw scales.”
Derek tilted his head, “All right, fine. Eyes…eyes are, um, yellowish, and slitted. Um has a lot of teeth…Oh and it’s got a tail, too.”
The three standing across from his looked up and saw the exact thing he just described their eyes going wide. “What? Wait, have you seen it. You have this look on your faces like you know exactly what I am talking about…”
Stiles turned around and saw it screeching and ran to join the other three. Derek growled at it just before it pushed Erica into the wall and knocked her out.
Derek pushed Stiles and Delilah, “Run!” He started fighting it but looked over to make sure Delilah was safe, “Der, watch out.” The creature swiped it’s tail and cut Derek on the neck causing him to start to fall.
Stiles ran over and grabbed him helping him stand, Delilah doing the same. They started running away and Derek told Stiles to call Scott to help.
While trying to dial his phone Stiles dropped it and leaned down to pick it up which made Derek drop over his back into the pool, “Stiles, son of a—” Delilah gasped and jumped in the pool trying to reach Derek, pulling him out of the water.
Stiles looked between Derek and Delilah, and his phone before decideing to jump in and help Delilah hold him up.
“Where did it go? Do you see it?” Stiles asked the three of them looking around. “No.” Derek said.
“Okay, maybe it took off?” The looked over to the corner when they heard the monster screech again. “Maybe not.”
Stiles and Delilah were there for another hour holding Derek up, their limbs tired. “You gotta get me out of here before I drown.” Derek told them holding his head back to keep the water out of his mouth.
“You’re worried about drowning? Did you notice the thing out there with multiple rows of razor sharp teeth?” Stiles asked him incredulously.
“Did you notice I’m paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water?” Derek asked annoyed. Delilah groaned and spit out more water, Derek’s weight pushing her down more, “I should have kept swimming after highschool.”
“Why didn’t you?” Derek asked remembering her time on the Beacon Hills swim team. “It got too hard when the twins were born.” Stiles looked over at the two of them his mouth dropped.
“Wait you guys knew each other in highshool?” Delilah nodded, “Yeah we dated.” “Wait! Are Eli and Tha—”
Derek groaned, “Yes Stiles they are. Now can you please focus on not letting me drown?” Stiles rolled his eyes at this comment. They looked at the side of the pool where the creature just waiting there.
“Wait, did you see that?” Stiles asked after seeing the giant gecko touch the water but immediately pull back, “I do’t think it can swim.”
“Oh well that’s just perfect, we can live in here forever now. Greath thinking Stiles.” Delilah said and Stiles rolled his eyes. “You know this sarcasms really not helping the situation Delilah.” He told her.
After another 45 minutes of holding Derek up Stiles told the two, “Okay, okay…I don’t think I can do this much longer.” He said looking over at his phone. “No, no, no. Don’t even think about it.” Derek told him.
“Would you just trust me this once?” Stiles asked him. “No!” “I’m the one keeping you alive, okay? Me and Delilah, have you noticed that?”
Derek looked over at him as much as he could, “Yeah, and when the paralysis wears off, who is gonna be able to fight that thing—you or me?” Stiles rolled his eyes, “You don’t trust him. He doesn’t trust you. You need Derek to survive, which is why you are not letting him go.” Delilah told the younger boy.
Stiles looked over at his phone again and decided to not listen to Delilah. He swam over to it and jumped out of the pool. “Stiles!” Derek yelled.
Delilah tried to hold Derek up but with his weight, and the pain in her arms and legs she couldn’t any longer and they both began to sink to the bottom of the pool.
Stiles tried to get Scott on the phone but as soon as he answered he hung up telling Stiles he “couldn’t talk right now”.
Stiles turned and saw the creature running towards him so he jumped back in the pool swimming to the bottom. He grabbed Derek’s arm and pulled him up, giving Delilah a chance to swim up as well. “Tell me you got him.” Derek asked spitting out water, Delilah doing the same.
Stiles just gave them a look and they both groaned. Another 20 minutes went by, and Stiles and Delilah had enough, “I can’t stay up any longer. I need something to hold onto.” Stiles said.
They started swimming over, and at this point Derek had some feeling in his feet and hands, as they reached up to grab the diving board Stiles hand slipped and they all began to sink.
As they drifted lower and lower Scott reached in and pulled Delilah out then Stiles and Derek, throwing them on the side. He growled at the monster and begain fighting it.
When Scott threw it into a mirror which shattered it, the moster flew Scott into the broken glass. Scott picked one up and held it out facing the other. When the monster caught a glimse of it’s reflection it screeched and ran away.
…………………..
Delilah P.O.V:
We walked out of the school and I had my arms wrapped around myself trying to keep warm. I’m surprised I can even still feel them.
Stiles and Scott set up a laptop on one of the cars and started going through files with what looked like old written notes. “Is that even a language?” Stiles asked.
“How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is?” Scott asked as he kept scrolling.
I walked up behind them with Derek and Erica, “It’s called a Kanima.” Derek told them one of his arms wrapped around me. “You knew the whole time?” Stiles asked looking pissed off.
“No. ONly when it was confused by its own reflection.” Derek answered. Scott furrowed his eyebrows, “It doesn’t know what it is?” I shook my head, “Or who.”
Stiles shook his head slightly, “What else do you know?” Derek shurgged, “Just stories. Rumors. They’re shapeshifters. But it’s-it’s not right. It’s like a—” He couldn’t find the word.
“An abomination.” Stiles replied grimly. Derek nodded. We went to walk away but were stopped.
“Derek, we need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents.” Scott suggested. “You trust them? Scott even with what you told me happened last year.” I asked him.
“Nobody trusts anyone! That’s the problem. While we’re here, arguing about who’s on what side, there’s something scarier, stronger, and faster than any of us, and it’s killing people, and we still don’t even know anything about it!” Scott said exasperated.
“I know one thing,” Derek said starting to turn away to leave, “when I find it. I’m gonna kill it.” He wrapped his arm around me tighter and we parted ways with Erica. When we got to the camero Derek pulled out a jacket from the back and wrapped it around my shoulders.
We drove in a comfortable silence Derek’s hand resting on my leg. “I didn’t think we would get out this late. Isaac texted me and the twins are asleep, so if you wanted to stay there tonight. So you didn’t have to move them…” I smiled and looked over at him nodding, “That would be great thanks.”
A smile made it’s way to Derek’s face, “I missed that.” I whispered and he looked over, “Missed what?” He asked turning his attention back to the road. “You’re smile. You used to smile all the time, but now you have to keep up this grumpy wolf reputation.” I mimicked his grumpy face and he started laughing.
“Well I find it works better with those idiots. But with you, it’s like being back in highschool.” I gasped and shot forward in my seat. “That’s what I told Melissa!” We started laughing, “Really?” He asked and I nodded.
“God, I miss highschool sometimes. Hanging out at your house after school, writing our initials on the library shelf, watching you play basketball. You were amazing, and really, really, hot when you played.” I trailed off at the end with a whisper.
His hand tightened on my leg, “Yeah?” He asked smirking. “Mhm.” I placed my hand on his and leaned my head back in the chair closing my eyes.
We got back to the loft 6 minutes later and rode the elevator up, “I definately need a hot shower, that water was freezing.” I told Derek who was standing in front of me with his arms on either side leaning on the railing. “You do too. You smell like chlorine.” I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Derek smiled and nodded, “Well it would be great if we could save water, you know for the envi—” I placed a kiss on his lips, and we stayed there till the doors pulled open.
We walked through the big sliding door and saw Isaac asleep on the couch with the twins on either side of him covered in blankets, asleep. Eli had his head on the couch arm and one leg on the coffee table, the other hanging over Isaacs leg. Thalia’s head was leaning on Isaac’s knee her feet propped up against the back of the couch.
I laughed quietly and Derek did too. “They get this from you I swear.” I told him and we walked back to his room. Well the bathroom that adjoined his room…we did decide to save water and acted like we were back in highschool again.
20 minutes later Derek and I walked out of his bedroom and I was using a towel to dry my hair. Derek had let me borrow a pair of sweatpants which I had to roll 4 times, and a shirt. I walked over to the couch and hung the towl over my shoulder.
Kneeling down I placed my hand on Isaac’s knee and shook it gently. He shot up and his eyes went yellow for a second placing a hand over each of the twins protectively. “Hey, hey it’s just me. Why don’t you head up to bed, I got them. Thanks for watching them.”
Isaac nodded and smiled, “Anytime, they’re great.” He got up and walked up the stairs just as Derek walked out of his room in a pair of sweatpants, his hair still damp.
I picked up Eli, who was in a completely different position from when we came home. He moved around a little but I pressed a kiss to his head and ran a hand through his hair and he settled back down placing his head on my shoulder.
Derek walked over and picked up Thalia, and she simply rested her head on his chest feeling his warmth. Derek smiled at his daughter and kissed the top of her head. He lead me to a room down the hall and we placed them down on the bed, they instantly drifted towards each other.
Eli’s leg was over Thalia’s and her hand was across his stomach. I smiled at them and kissed each of their heads before making my way back to Derek’s room.
We were now both lying down my head on his chest tracing random shapes on his side, and he had one hand running through my hair and the other running up and down my leg, which was thrown over his waist.
I don’t know how long we stayed like that but soon the tiredness from the night hit me and I was out letting the darkness drift over me.

Unbroken Promises-Derek Hale (p3)
Delilah paced back and forth all morning thinking about Derek and what he said. Of course she didn't owe him anything, for all she was sure of, he had no part of her life anymore. Right?
Either way she had more than herself to think about. Dragging Eli and Taliah into the life that Derek lived was never something she would want to do. She already had fears that they would have to carry the 'wolf' gene with them throughout their lives.
Nothing had shown up yet but there was still a chance.
Continuing to walk around the kitchen she muttered to herself missing the sound of footsteps coming down the hall. "Hi mommy!"
She looked down and saw Eli standing in front of her with his hair all in a mess and pajamas all twisted. She laughed and picked him up kissing his cheek. "Hi my love. How'd you sleep."
"Good. Can we go wake up Lia? I wanna play." Delilah nodded and started walking towards their room where she saw Taliah passed out on her bed, her feet somehow on her pillow and head at the end of the bed.
Her kids definately got their sleeping habits from Derek who could never lie still either. She laughed slightly at the memories she had from him before walking over and setting Eli down on the floor. "Tal, baby wake up. Mommy's going to get breakfast started. Want to come outside with E?"
She ran her fingers through the girls hair as she rubbed her eyes and nodded. Taliah reached out her hands and Delilah picked her up grabbing Eli's hand and walking the both of them to the living room.
She placed Taliah on the couch and Eli jumped up to sit by her. Delilah turned on Paw Patrol and made her way to the kitchen starting on some waffles. Thoughts continued to run through her head, the biggest being that Derek deserved to know about the twins.
Even after everything that happened, they were still his children. "Damn you Derek Hale." Delilah whispered under her breath as she came to a final decision. Picking up the phone she called her mother and asked if she could leave Eli and Thalia with her as she ran an "errand".
......................
Thalia P.O.V:
"Okay here we go." I whispered as I walked up to the loft Derek was staying in. I just dropped Eli and Lia off at my mom's house, and now I'm at his door about to change his life.
I waited a second after knocking three times and the door swung open revealing the teenager who was with Derek at the diner. "Hey, is Derek here?" I asked slowly unable to look around him.
"Maybe, who wants to kn-" He was suddenly pulled away from the door as Derek stood in front of me. "Hey, come on in," he turned around towards the teen, "Isaac take a walk for a little."
Isaac's jaw dropped but did what Derek said none the less, grabbing his bag and heading out of the building. "It-uh, it's really good to see you." Derek said as we took a seat on the couch. I put as much space between us as I could.
"Good, I guess. Listen Derek, there's something I need to tell you, and I don't know how you're going to react." He nodded slowly and I took a deep breath, "I-" before I could say anything Isaac ran back into the room looking frantic.
"Derek, one of the girls from my high school, Erica, she's in the hospital. Just had a seizure at the school, maybe she-" Derek stood up and gave Isaac a look to stop talking. What is Derek doing?
I stood up looking at Derek, "Are you turning teenagers?" He turned his head not looking me in the eyes but I grabbed his jaw and turned his head towards me. "Derek. What the hell are you doing?"
"I need a pack." I scoffed and turned away from him but he grabbed my arm and turned me back around, "Del you know I need people to get stronger, to be able to protect who I need to protect."
"But turning innocent children, Derek do they even know what they're getting themselves into?" By now I looked and saw Isaac had left the room, not wanting to hear this argument. "Yes I told them about the hunters, and full moons, everything. Look this isn't some impulsive move, I'm giving them a chance to take control of their own lives."
"This is wrong Derek and you know it. You're putting these kid's lives in danger, are you insane?" I couldn't believe this, if Derek was using random teenagers to build his pack so he could have, what, more power? What's going to happen when I tell him about the twins...
If I tell him.
"Delilah," He started in his usual stubborn tone, "I know what I'm doing. I have things to do, but what did you need to talk about?"
I looked down at the floor. What was I going to tell him? This is all so messed up, why couldn't we just go back to highschool, everything seemed so much easier.
"Nothing. It's not important. Derek, you need to think about what you're doign, these are just children, risking their lives. They weren't born into this and still have a chance to be normal. Give them that option, think about it, please."
With that I turned around and walked out the building.
....................
3rd P.O.V:
Delilah had picked up the twins and took them down to the diner where she had her shift.
Eli was sat at the counter coloring in a page with animals, and Thalia sat on the side of him her own page with candies, and all that. A bowl of grapes inbetween the both of them.
Delilah rushed around the room picking up and setting down plates at the different tables, thinking deeply the entire time. Everything going on with Derek was going to drive her crazy. He deserved to know about Deli and Thalia but she couldn't but them in harms way. Amidst her thinking her phone started buzzing on the table.
Incoming Call: Der
She took a deep breath and thought for a second before declining he call and turning the phone over going back to work. "Mama, who was that?" Thalia asked, curiosly. "That—was one of mommy's old friends. Nothing important baby don't worry."
She smiled at the two lovingly before reaching out to take a grape out of their bowl, but the two reached out and covered it,hating to share food. Deliliah tried to play it off with a shocked look but couldn't help but laugh.
She was the same way. It used to drive her crazy when Derek would steal something that she was snacking on, and he simply found her frustration amusing.
Her phone started buzzing again and she was ready to tell Derek off but when she answered she heard the voice of her younger cousin, Scott Mccall. "Hi Scott, everything okay." The twins looked up their faces bright. They loved Scott and would beg Delilah to call him to babysit everytime she needed someone to watch them.
"Hi Scotty!" They yelled in unison, Scott laughed from the other side of the line and told them hi back, "Hey Del, do you know anyone named Derek Hale? You might have gone to highschool with him."
Delilah's breath hitched, "Uh, yeah, yeah. I know him we acually used to date. Why?" She stepped away from the twins and walked to the back of the diner. "Well, I was wondering how much you knew about him. This is gonna sound kinda weird but, do you know about his family? Cause you were dating so maybe tha—wait, the twins...is Dere—"
Delilah was quick to cut him off, "Werewolves, Scott," she lowered her voice, "Yes I know. Why? Scott please tell me you're not involved in this whole mess. I want you to stay away from Derek."
"Well I'm already kind of involved in it." Delilah groaned and shut her eyes her had hitting the wall infront of her. "Are you at home?" She asked waiting for his answer, "Yes."
"Stay there I'll be right there, and if you're involved how I think you're involved, I am going to kick your furry ass."
With that Delilah hung up and grabbed her jacket and keys walking back to the front. She got the twins and told them that they were headed to the Mccall house, which they had no objections to.
"Scott what have you gotten yourself into?"
......................
"A year!" Safe to say Delilah didn't take the news of Scott's transformation well. He had just finished explaining everything that happened last year. Allison, Stiles, Derek, Peter, everything.
"And now he's turning more teenagers. Today it was a girl named Erika and I think we know where's he's headed next. I'm going there tonight to try convince Boyd to say no." Scott said across from me while Eli and Thalia climbed over him, the two of them in their own little world.
Delilah dropped her head in her hands and started taking deep breaths. She was going to kill Derek.
"Scott are you sure he's going to turn this kid, Boyd?" Scott nodded his head, "Okay, listen to me, when you go there tonight-if things start escalating, I want you to get out of there as fast as you can. Derek built a pack which means he's stronger. They all are, and I don't want you getting hurt. Understand?"
Scott was about to respond when Melissa walked through the door dressed in her scrubs. "Hey Del. I didn't know you were coming over."
Delilah smiled and walked over to hug her, "The twins were dying to see Scotty, so here we are." Just then Eli and Thalia ran over wrapping their arms around Melissa and laughing.
Delilah turned and saw Scott heading towards the door, "Scott remember what I said." she told him before he nodded and left.
"So how are you? I-well I heard that Derek's back in town." Melissa was one of the few people to know that Derek was the twins dad. "Well he came to see me at the diner. I may have started throwing things. He didn't see the twins tho, I went to tell him yesterday but then we got in an argument, which wasn't really and argument, and now I'm rambling and just so...stressed."
Delilah fell back onto a chair resting her head on the dining table. Melissa laughed and sat next to her, "Are you going to tell him?" She placed a comforting hand on Delilah's arm. "I know I should, but everythings just so messed up right now."
Melissa nodded, "Yeah hun, I know. But honestly there's never going to be a right time to tell him. He deserves to know." Delilah looked up at her and nodded, knowing she was right.
They talked for a few more hours before Delilah decided to go check on Scott and see how everything was going.
.................................
Delilah P.O.V:
"Okay, you two stay here. I have to go talk to someone alright?" The twins nodded and I rolled down all the windowns halfway before stepping out of the car.
I saw Derek walking out of the building with 3 kids: Isaac, the girl who must be Erika, and Boyd. Damn it, where's Scott?
Derek looked up and saw me, he said something to the teenagers and they started heading another way while he came up to me. I walked over and met him halfway.
"So you're really doing it. Turning more kids." Derek hung his head, "Delilah you don't understand." He said stubbornly, "You're right Derek I don't! I don't understand why you're doing this."
"But, I do know that if those kids have any chance of surviving they're going to need somebody who isn't constantly in bitch mode." He then looked at me with a face that proved my point.
"You said you needed help, so fine, I'll help you. But this is for those kids, I want to keep them safe and you know you can't do that on your own." Derek smiled and nodded, "Thank you Del."
"Wow, did the Derek Hale just say thank you. That-does the word feel strange?" I teased him starting to feel less tense about everything, missing how we used to be. He smirked and wrapped his arms around me pulling me into a hug.
I laughed and tried to get out of it but his hold was tight and we started laughing. Suddenly Derek went tense and I looked up to see him starting intensly at my car. "Crap." I whispered pulling away from him.
"Who-are-Del?" He was staring at the car, not blinking and his hands shaking a little. "Der, I don't know how to say this in an easy way, and I know that you're going to just want it straight so..."
I took a deep breath, here goes-well-everything.
"That night, at the highschool, I was going to tell you something. Something big, the same thing I was going to tell you this morning. I was-I was pregnant Der, and it was twins. Two beautiful babies. You're beautiful babies. I had your kids Der."
He hadn't spoken yet and I was starting to get nervous, "And I tried to call, text, everything Derek but I couldn't reach you. I know that this is out of the blue and-" I stopped talking the second I saw a tear roll down his face.
"I-I have kids? We have kids?" He was trying to keep his voice from cracking. I started crying myself now. "What are their names?" "Eli and Thalia."
He let out a small cry before wiping his hands down his face and collecting himself. "Can-can I meet them?" I smiled and nodded, "I can bring them by your loft tomorrow. It's pretty late right now."
Derek started nodded quickly. Hopefully all of this works out...

Unbroken Promises-Derek Hale (p2)
“Derek, I’m serious let go.” Delilah let out through laughter. “I don’t know Del, cause you don’t sound too serious.” The young teen responded as he continued to tickler her sides. “Don’t make me call Laura.”
Derek gasped and playfully pushed her, “Wow, dirty move Miss. Davids.” The two fell back on his bed looking at eachother, huge smiles on both their faces. “What?” Delilah asked as she rolled on her side and started playing with Derek’s hair.
“Nothing, I’m just…happy.” His smile widened before they heard a knock at the door. “Little miss why are you still up?” Derek asked sitting up. In the doorway stood a 7 year-old Cora with a blanket in hand.
“Der-bear I can’t sleep.” She said, melting Delilah’s heart. Delilah looked at Derek smiling to which he rolled his eyes and walked over to Cora scooping her up and walking her back to his bed.
He sat down on the bed placing her in the middle and wrapping her in the blankets. “Sleep tight kiddo.” He kissed her forehead and layed next to her waiting until she fell asleep. Which happened to be not long after.
Delilah smiled at this and got up walking across the room to grab her bag. Reaching inside she pulled out her phone and took a quick photo of this moment before Derek’s mother, and at sometimes a mother figure to Delilah, Taliah walked in.
“Derek have you seen-” She looked to see her youngest sleeping on her son’s shoulder. “I see she found her way in here? When are you going to stop letting her sleep in here Derek? She has her own room for a reason.” Taliah asked with a smile walking over to pick up Cora.
“When i’m off to college, until then my little sister can crash in here.” He smiled up at his mom. “Alright then. Delilah honey are you staying over? You’re more than welcome to.” She asked the young girl.
“I actually have to head home, my mom is closing up the Diner late and needs me to finish some things around the house. Thank you though.” Taliah smiled and kissed Derek on the head before walking out with a sleeping Cora.
Derek sighed and stood up walking over to his girlfriend, “You want me to take you home?” He asked wrapping his arms around her. “Der I have my car here you’d have to walk back alone and I don’t want that. I’ll see you tomorrow, I love you.”
She placed a kiss on his lips before pulling him into a hug, “I love you too.” He whispered in her ear before she left, making her way downstairs.
…………………………………………….
Once at home Delilah rushed upstairs to her room and threw open her dresser feeling around. After a few seconds of searching she pulled out the object that had her mind in a fog. Sitting on her bed she started at the positive test in her hands.
“What are we going to do?” She asked herself placing a hand on her stomach. When she first found out her heart stopped. She sobbed till her mother found her upstairs and instantly knew what had happened. Delilah started repeatedly apologizing to her mother but was cut off by Jane wrapping her arms around her daughter and shushing her cries.
“It’s alright, I’m here for you and the baby. It’s okay Lilah we’ll figure it out.” The rest of the night was spent that way, Delilah crying into her mother’s shoulder while she whispered words of relief.
Now after thinking and having time to herself she was happy, and even excited about what was to come. She was having a baby, a mix of her and Derek, and this was the part that made her most happy.
She now had to figure out a way to tell Derek but she knew she had to tell him soon, and had planned on doing it tomorrow after school.
So the next day as she drove to school she rested her hand on her stomach and repeated what she would say to Derek over and over again. Finally parking she took a deep breath and looked up seeing said boyfriend waiting for her at the bench.
“Hey you.” She said walking over and sitting next to him. “Hello gorgeous.” He placed a kiss on her cheek and reached out for her hand. “So big game tonight, school rivals, how do you feel?” She asked rubbing her thumb over his hand.
“Honestly, really good. The team has been practicing hard and I think we’re gonna blow them out of the water tonight.” Derek smiled already excited for the game. “Well win or loose, i’m with you. Besides I have some news that will hopefully make your night even better. But you can’t know until after the game.”
Derek groaned and threw his head back. “Well that’s all I’m going to think about from now until then. Thanks babe.” Delilah laughed and kissed his cheek before standing up and pulling him with her. “Come one we have class, don’t want Finstock giving us a hard time.”
…………………………………………….
Throughout the whole day Derek had been practically beggind Delilah to tell him the big news, but each time she would just smiles and say he had to wait for tonight. So here they were, Delilah cheering for Derek and his team mates in their game.
76-74. Devonford was up and there was 50 seconds left in the game. The ball was Beacon’s posesion and was quickly moving down the court towards Derek, time seemed to stop as he took a dribble to collect himself then shot the ball up from the 3.
As the ball sunk in the basket Beacon’s crowd went crazy jumping and screaming, all while Delilah ran onto the court jumping into Derek’s arms who spun her around. “Congratulations Der, how’s it feel.” Laura asked as she walked up to the couple, “Feel’s amazing. Won the game, have my girlfriend with me, and now I get to hear some pretty big new-”
Yes there was big news, but not the one Derek or Delilah was expecting.
An officer walked up to Derek, Laura, and Delilah pulling them outside the gym to be alone, he had explained to them that there had been a fire at their house and that the only person to make it out was Peter, though he was severly injured.
Derek and Laura fell to the ground, the older one screaming as her brother wrapped his arms around her pulling her to him tight, tears streaming down his face. Delilah quickly kneeled besideds him and wrapped her arms around his neck allowing him to cry into her shouler.
It seemed as if they were there forever but eventually the police officer had taken them to the station. Delilah gave Derek one last hug before her mother came and picked her up, tears streaming down her face at the news of one of her best friends Taliah passing away in the fire.
When they got home Delilah and her mother sat on the couch holding each other quietly wishing this was all a bad dream.
Delilah’s hand rested on her stomach at the thought of her baby never meeting their father’s family. Their father, Derek! She never got to tell Derek, of course now the thought of telling him would no longer be an incredible event, but he still needed to know.
She would go visit him tomorrow and tell him the news, tell him and Laura they still had family.
But that never happened, Delilah went to see Derek but was told that Laura had taken him from Beacon Hills to see some family friends. Delilah started crying, she grabbed her phone and called Derek.
After leaving the 17th message and 40th text she new that he was gone. She prayed that she would see him soon and that he would be there with her and with their baby, but for the next 4 years…she kept the same wish.
…………………………………………….
sorry this is long I know, ngl cried when I wrote about them finding out but it’s late so what can I say. hope you enjoy this story as this is only the begining, more chapters coming soon and will get into Season 2 of Teen Wolf.
for now thank you for reading this book here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come.

…………………………………………….
“Eli, Lia breakfast!” Delilah called to wherever her kids were. She was about to call again but felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist, “I think they were with Isaac last I checked, so we have some time.” Derek told her pressing a kiss to her shoulder then cheek.
Delilah smiled and turned around kissing him deeply before pulling away at the sounder of laugher and slight screams. They looked and saw Eli and Taliah chasing Isaac around who would scoop up one of them and tickle them before doing the same with the other twin. He had truly taken a liking to being a big brother. “Alright you three time to eat.” Isaac picked up both the twins, Eli hanging upside down and laughing.
He placed Taliah on a stool as Derek came over and grabbed Eli setting him right side up and doing the same. “Mama, can we have cake for lunch?” Eli asked to which she gave him the ‘mom’ look and shook her head, “No, my silly boy you can’t have cake for lunch.”
Eli looked at Taliah and whispered something in her ear before sitting back in his seat. Taliah turned to Derek and climbed over having him pick her up, “Daddy, can we have cake for lunch, please?” She asked drawing out the please.
Delilah looked at Derek as if to say ‘don’t give in’ but he looked at his daughter who had a complete hold over him since the moment he saw her. “How about, after dinner you two can share a slice of cake? Does that work.”
The twins looked at each other and nodded before Taliah placed a kiss on Derek’s cheek and moved back to sit in her seat. Delilah looked at Derek and handed him a plate before whispering in his ear, “Weak.” She smirked at him and he laughed playfully pushing her away.
“Does that mean I get cake too?” Isaac asked raising his hand before stealing Eli’s strawberry. Delilah laughed, “Yes Izzy you get cake too. And stop stealing your brother’s food, there’s a plate right infront of you.” Isaac laughed and sarcastically said back, “Yes mom.”
Derek nodded his head, “Exactly, Isaac, where do you get this from?” He asked before walking behind Delilah and stealing a grape.

Unbroken Promises-Derek Hale
“Dude, that was Derek Hale! You remember right? He’s only a few years older than us.”
“Remember what?”
“His family. They burned to death in a fire like, 4 years ago.”
“I wonder what he’s doing back…”
…………………………………………….
“Isaac let’s go we have to meet somebody.” Derek called to Isaac who was upstairs in his room.
Isaac made his way down the staris confused as to where they were going. “Is it a new pack member?” He asked while he threw on his jacket. “No.”
“Is it Scott?” Again Derek replied the same, “No.” They rode down the elevator both leaning against the back wall. “Are you going to tell me who it is before we get there?”
Derek smiled and looked at him before walking through the open elevator doors, “No.”
Isaac groaned and got in Derek’s camero and started watching the scenery as they drove to this mysterious place.
When they came to a stop, around 35 minutes later, Isaac looked up and saw a small diner in front of them, “This? This is the place we needed to come to? Who are we possibly meeting here?”
Derek stayed silent as he opened his door and started walking towards the entrance.
……………………………
Inside the diner a young woman was walking around dropping orders at different tables. “What can I get you two?” Delilah asked the two kids sitting at the counter next to their grandmother. “Cake!” They both screamed out.
Delilah went to respond before hearing the doorbell ring, she walked over to the front counter area, “Hi I’ll be right with…you?” She looked up and froze when she saw the face of Derek Hale. The last person she ever expected to see.
“Hey Del.” Derek said with a small smile. Isaac went to step forward but Derek held his hand out keeping him at a distance from the woman. “Careful.”
Isaac chuckled, “Of her? What’s the big dea-” He was cut off by a piece of bread hitting the side of his face.
“Get out!” Delilah yelled as she continued to throw the objects closer to her at Derek. Isaac at this point had stepped away and went to sit in a far booth. Derek dodged the food making no attempt to stop her until she ran out of edible items and reached for a glass bowl next to her.
“Hey, hey please. I know you don’t want to see me but I need your help. Please Del.” Derek approached her, carefully, and now stood across from her seperated by the counter. “Do not, call me that Derek Hale. Why the hell are you here?”
Derek’s head dropped, he had missed her voice. Even if it was the one that was upset and close to cursing him out, he wished he could hear it all day. “Delilah, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t need to be. I’m not trying to hurt you, the kid behind me, Isaac, he needs your help too.”
Delilah released her grip on the glass and looked over Derek’s shoulder at the teenager, “Now, now you need me? What about when I needed you Derek. I tried to help you before but you left. I was there for you when your family died and you left me. No calls, no texts, nothing. But now you’re asking me for help? Get out Derek and don’t come back. Please.”
As she said ‘please’ Derek could hear her voice crack and could tell she was on the verge of tears. He nodded afraid that if he tried to speak, he himself, would cry.
Derek turned around and motioned for Isaac to follow him as he made his way out the door and to his car.
…………………..
“I’m sorry about that.” Delilah said walking back over to the 3 at the opposite end of the counter. “And are you planning to start work at all today? You’re not retired yet mom.” The grandmother of the two, Jane, sighed and stood up before making her way around the counter.
“Well excuse me for wanting to spend some time with my grandbabies. Who was that by the way?” She asked throwing in apron on. “Just, an old friend.” Delilah said before walking over to her twins. “And for you two,” She messed up their hair-Eli and Taliah-laughing.
“Who said you could get cake at this time?” Delilah was moved over by her mother who placed two slices of cake down in front of the 4 year olds. “I did. Now hush and get back to work. Mr.Johnson’s ready for his check.”
Delilah nodded and kissed her kids heads before walking away, thoughts rambling around in her head.
Why was Derek here? Why now? She couldn’t begin to explain the pain of wanting to run into his arms and knowing she should stay away. After all, he left her, and even thought she wanted to pretend she didn’t love him anymore, she couldn’t. How could she, he was her first boyfriend, her first love, her first everything.
And the father of her children.
