a kid I babysit sometimes (he's two) knows I really like spider-man so when he sees me he immediately goes to get his spider-man toy and gives it to me and when his dad got him spider-man socks he took off his shoes to show me. I was magically also wearing spider-man socks and I showed him and he yelled "MATCH!!" and now every time he sees me he tries to take my shoes off to see if we're matching again. he also cooks food in his pretend kitchen but he's somehow aware I have allergies and so he'll only "cook" me fruits and vegetables bc he knows I can have those. his sisters taught him how to blow kisses and now when he says goodbye to people he just gives them at least 6 kisses.

Toddlers are so pure. She doesn’t understand that we help her with certain things because she’s little. She thinks that everyone just helps each other like that. So she tries to blow on my food and cut it up for me and tries to help me put on my shoes.

maybe love is my little brother playing his cello so the baby can fall asleep easier and maybe love is my grandmother moving hours away but her sisters mailing her food from the tree in their childhood backyard and maybe love is my mom sleeping on the couch waiting for my dad to get home from work and maybe love is my grandpa building a garden for my family so we can save money in the summer and maybe love is toys I pass down to my cousins and maybe love is in everything we do
