Great question! Depends on area, but truth be told, I usually order my beans from roasters out of state.

Buuuuuut - Madcap, Populace, Hyperion, Stovetop, Foster Coffe Co are all solid. Fractal is a small startup that just started roasting, but I haven't tried them yet.

There are A LOT of newer small roasters with so-so QC in case that's important to you. If you're just looking for a place to have a nice drink, any small, independently owned specialty coffee place is the best choice to make.
