I'd like to give a potentially controversial opinion here after reading this article, but more of just a hot take:

There is nothing wrong with the romantasy genre or 'smut fiction' as a whole - in fact, I fully support these genres and hate the sexist judgements given to them so often by male critics. I love a steamy romance set against a beautifully written fantasy world with strong and interesting female protagonists at their core. 'Fourth Wing' is probably going to be my next read after I'm finished with my current book.

But!! I would just like to say that while all the above is true, I do sneer at 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' when people tell me they love it not because of the smut or romantasy element - but because it's BADLY-WRITTEN and has so many problematic rape-y connotations.

Support the romantasy smutty genre for sure, but don't support books that normalise abusive relationships just because it's 'hot'.

We have exhausted all our savings during the war. I know that I started my campaign very late, but that’s because there is no other way to help my family 🙏. I am fully confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these difficult circumstances 😔.

I know that the feeling of starting from scratch is painful and frustrating, but I hope to receive any amount for my family 🥺🙏.
