 ive been fucking around with some character design, and my brain was like “want to do an intricate Jason Todd as Padmé Amidala/star wars bandit?” and my 2-in-the-morning-brain was like “heck yeah! lets stay up till 5 to complete it” sooo…. heres Jason as a star wars character

I was originally just gonna make him a desert raider of some sort, but come on, this boy lives on drama. No way that he’s anything less than republic royalty.

crosses on wrist: for those lost in battle (Riley was the first on he got) meant to resemble Arlington. I’m thinking of replacing some of the crosses with other denominational symbols like there are in Arlington

names on arm: names of his family, i used the names from the comics. Sarah and Gideon are his siblings, Darlene and Paul are his parents. birthdates (and maybe death dates) are underneath

stars on shoulder: for bucky and steve. ot3. all cap ship. whatever you wanna call it

orange and flowers on shoulder blade: for his family. i have to imagine large family dinners with fresh oranges in the center piece for people to have whenever they want

fleur de lis: symbol of New Orleans, Anthony Mackie's hometown, so shout out to him for being an amazing actor and man

rose vine everywhere: in tarot, roses are considered a symbol balance (flower vs thorn and all that) i like to imagine him as a rather emotional teen- early twenties, then growing and figuring out how to balance logic and emotion and how to keep his calm, so much so that he become the cool-headed one in the ot3. the rose vine is a reminder to him to always keep that mindset  

sparrows: flight freedom all that jazz, but also, sailors used to consider sparrows a symbol of luck in a fight and in an uphill battle. i just really like that little tidbit

air force symbol: obvious. paratrooper man

feathers on the hip: yeah mostly i just like them. also, the whole bird thing is a thing

Anthony Mackie also has a pretty vibrant scar on his left forearm, so i guess that's there too if you look closely.

now i just have to finish this. and there's a front side too, so a lot of work to be done.
