Dragon Quest
Fantasy, M/M Tapas - KoFi
After several minutes of staring, Winston throws his hands up with a groan.
“You’re cheating.” He declares, frowning when his opponent only chuckles.
“I’m simply using moves so old, few remember them.” Fyrym claims. “Another game?” He asks, large claws resetting the chessboard.
“That’s cheating.” Winston huffs. Before he can accept the rematch, he’s startled by a clanging. A grappling hook has secured inside to the windowsill. A grappling hook that’s being climbed by yet another lost Knight.
“There’s no princess here!” He shouts down at them.
“I know Prince Winston.” The Knight responds, grinning up at him. “I am Sir Knight Levi, I’m here to earn your hand.”
“Mine?” Winston repeats, face turning red. The Knight’s are never here for his hand. Behind him, the dragon Fyrym chuckles in amusement once more.

June Prompt!
The prompt for June is.... Rainbow.
Yes, I know it’s a bit unoriginal but well, it’s Pride Month. I can’t not have it be rainbow.
Besides, it’s a versatile prompt. It can mean a physical rainbow, obviously. But it can also mean a group of diverisity and the community itself. It’s the proof that hard times don’t last, it’s a deep breath after a storm. It’s joy and celebration and it’s a symbol to reach for.
The rainbow is also a collection of colours. In the case of the rainbow flag, it’s eight - Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. If you don’t want to use the whole rainbow, you can pick and choose colours from it.
Fills are open until them 30th of June. No word minimum or maxium. All genres are welcome. All you have to do is stick to the prompt and make sure to include an LGBTA+ character! Tag me (@rainbowscrolls and #rsfill) to be reblogged and included in the end of month master post!
Happy writing!!

Question: Can pre-written stories be submitted if they match the prompt? Answer: Pre-written stories can be submitted for the master post at the end of the month (and will have their own section), but won’t be reblogged as part of the main prompt fill
First Prompt Tomorrow!
The new month is approaching, and that means a wild prompt shall soon appear. But first let’s actually set out how this is going to work, shall we?
1. Every month will have a prompt/theme The prompts will be posted between the 30th of the previous month and the 1st of the themes month. They’ll only be a few words at most, but I’ll offer suggestions and ideas for anyone needing them.
2. Everyone is welcome to join For the month that the prompt is running, anyone and everyone can fill it. There’s no minimum of words or anything like that, just fill it and tag this blog and #rsfill! Fills will be reblogged to this one. If you don’t think I’ve seen it, let me know. Tags can be frustrating sometimes.
3. Your story has to include an LGBTA+ character That is sort of the whole point, after all. The story doesn’t have to center on their idenity, it doesn’t even have to come up. But there has to be at least one LGBTA+ character, and it has to be stated. In the authours notes if no where else.
4. Fanfiction is welcome, but original work is encouraged! Fanfiction is welcome, but original work is the main focus of Rainbow Scrolls. Any kind of original works too - one shots, chaptered stories, series. So long as it fits the theme, it’s welcome!
5. Fills need details! All fills should list the title for the piece, the word count, and where on the spectrum they’re representing. Everything else is up to the authour.
As for me! On my end of things, I will be reblogging all the fills I can and of course filling the prompts as well. I hope to create a masterlist at the end of each month as well.
If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! And remember, tomorrow I will be posting the blogs first prompt so keep an eye out!

Hi!
We are offically live with Rainbow Scrolls, a blog that’s heavily inspired by my desire to bring back pulp magazines but this time make is gay (and trans, and ace, and bi, and etc. etc.).
The way this will work is that every month will have a new theme, and then at the end of that month authours will post a story with an LGBTA+ main character that fits that theme. The stories won’t necessarily be focused on the character being LGBTA+, but the main characters will always be LGBTA+.
The current plan is have people sign up each month and those people writing the month’s magazine, similiar in style to how zines and big bangs are run. Of course other people are welcome to parcipate each month, and may even be featured on the blog!
But on the note of plans! There’s still a lot of ways this blog can run, and I want to hear from you on that front!
How many stories should get posted each month? Should prompts be posted before or after the sign up? Should there be a discord for writers to discuss prompts, and for readers to interact? Should all the stories be original works, or should fan works be included as well?
Let me know in a reply, or an ask, or a reblog!
And please let me know if you’d like to be tagged as Rainbow Scrolls starts up, so you don’t miss anything important!
