New music: Celestial Bums - Magnolias (I See Them Everywhere) Barcelona's hottest psychedelic outfit so far, the five-piece Celestial Bums, has released their new single "Magnolias (I See Them Everywhere)", which will be part of an upcoming psychedelic music compilation called "Trip Inside This House: Summer Solstice Vol. VII" of the same name blog and US-radioshow. The honestly great compilation is a freebie (download here), so grab it as long as it's online. Find an excerpt of the bands bio on their record company, small UK label Psyilocybin Sounds, in the following lines: Steaming from rock, Celestial Bums develop a thick and hypnotic wall of sound that emanates a monotone neo-psychedelia, like different streams, lysergic, spiritual, earthly and universal that cross each other and flow in their long compositions, wrapped up by tribal tambourines and shakers. Their lyrics speak about travels, freedom, and consciousness, influenced by the Beat enthusiasm as well as by deeper and darker roots, like Blake, Huxley or Whitman. In March 2012 they release their self-titled debut album, constining in 4 tracks and almost 40 minutes of a trippy, nep-psychedelic soundscape experience. Popular Spanish magazine Mondosonoro, ranked it as the 5th best self-edited Catalan album in 2012.

New music: Poeira - Disaster feat. Wayne Paul Since it first emerged, the swiss rap scene always has been manageable but always very constant. And even more very diverse: having four national languages of course results in many different styles in French, German, Italian and Romansh. From the French part of Switzerland comes skilled rapper/ poet Poeira. He has been working solo (releasing his fantastic debut "Jazzz") before he became a part of the Nyon based crew Emeute Infernale. During this time he released his second album "Symbolique", with which he experimented with rather electronic beats. L'Emeute disbanded in 2011 but of course Poeira is still going. For fall he announced his coming third album (so far untitled) with a poppier sound this time. For the first teasing single, "Disaster", of the upcoming album the swiss rapper is accompanied by no other than Wayne Paul of Big Dada's/ Ninja Tune's Lotek Hi-Fi. In this song sampling french chanson legend Joe Dassin and referencing Daft Punk the rapper tells about how life would be without the central part of his life - whatever that might be. As long as you puzzle about what it might be, we're highly anticipated for what is awaiting us there in fall.

Win Tickets: The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart in Berlin at Magnet Club Earlier this year, the bands' keyboarder and singer Peggy Wang announced she was leaving the band in order to focus more on her job as an editor at the colleagues of Buzzfeed. New music: Rebolledo is on a "Momento Drive" Kompakt's crazy mexican Mauricio Rebolledo is back with a highly recommendable mix. This is being released by the long-standing Cologne based label on CD and three rare tracks from it on a 12" EP version of the mix on top. And here's the contradiction of the release: nowadays, we're drowning in mixes, every internet portal, every label, every kinda party has its' very own mix from some hyped DJ, and this effort isn't really worth much these days, rather having a significance of a few days (when not hours!). So the more surprising it is that such an experienced label as Kompakt - which celebrated their 20th anniversary last year - is releasing this mix on several formats: there must be something to it - and there is: tracks by label buddies like Barnt and Justus Köhncke, contributions by Kompakt founder Wolfgang Voigt or Gebrüder Teichmann and of course of Rebolledo himself or from his side-project with Superpitcher, Pachanga Boys. So check out this great insight into Rebolledo's record case and just this good old mix flow...

New music: Handbraekes prepping 2nd EP "#2" Another favourite of us here at riskodisko definitely is french electro-dadaist Mr. Oizo. A while ago he teamed up with Boys Noize and May 26 sees the release of the second effort of their collaborative project Handbraekes via BNR. Their second EP, simply entitled "#2", lets you hear a lot of the repetitive crazy production methods of Oizo and some far out sampling, while the bang in the songs clearly comes from the Berlin producer Boys Noize. A whole lot of fun you shouldn't miss.

New video: Kate Tempest tells us about "The Beigeness" Check out talented female UK-rapper Kate Tempest rapping over rather indie'ish beats about what she calls "The Beigeness". Her album "Everybody Down" will be dropping on May 19 via Ninja Tunes' rap subsidiary Big Dada. The clip was directed by India Banks and Alex Gent and if you take a close look you'll see producer Dan Carey running around in the clip.

New music: Martyn announces second album on Ninja Tune Dutch born and D.C.-based producer Martyn is preparing the release of his third album "The Air Between Words", which will be released June 13 via british cult label Ninja Tune, founded by no other than electronic veterans Coldcut and home of Bonobo, Machinedrum or recently Kelis (!). One of the ten new tracks is a collaboration with one of our favourites here at riskodisko, the magnificient Four Tet. Check out the "8 Hours At Fabric Dub" of their collaboration "Glassbeadgames".
