Watching how Oliver and Joe were with each other and with their daughter, so completely in love, did something to Harry’s chest.

He didn’t know if it was because he’d never really been in love or if it was because he'd never seen a queer couple in person before. He just felt a rush of envy, and he didn't fully understand why.

He wanted to feel like that with someone. And, for some reason, when he let his actions follow his heart and not his head, he found himself looking at Malfoy.

When they made eye contact, and Harry felt the familiar burn of his cheeks and tug of his heart, he had no idea that the other man was feeling the same exact thing.

Story Summary:

What happens three years after the Second War, when an unlikely confession reunites Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy?

Draco Malfoy is released from Azkaban, and he has no idea why. After adjusting to life as a free man, all he wants is to get as far away from the country as he possibly can.

Harry Potter, who can't seem to figure out what he wants to do with his life, also needs an escape. He needs a place where no one recognizes him.

With no real reason to object, Harry and Draco plan what is turning out to be a very long trip together.

Draco took his silence as a cue to carry on. “No warning, no time to get my affairs in order, no real home to go back to. So yes, everything is perfectly alright. I don’t suppose you have another grand idea to save the day again? You’re just oh so gifted with grand ideas, aren’t you, Potter?”

Potter looked down at his hands ruefully then tilted his head towards the ceiling. It was so obvious that he did not want to respond. But Potter being the unbearable Gryffindor that he is, apparently mustered up enough courage to finally spill his thoughts on the matter. “You’re more than welcome to come stay with me for a while.”
