a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted

their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"

Imaging thinking actual human writers are Not Real because they use... professional writing in their works.

Imagine thinking millions of people who have been using em dash way before AI becomes a thing are all robots.

so in the end, I've decided to split the ratiorine fic into two chapters as I know I'm not going to be able to complete this fic in a reasonable amount of time. I'm currently working on some final edits and should be posting either later today or early tomorrow. for now, here's a little snippet <3

Ratio smiled, eyes filled with unadulterated love and adoration, yet he couldn’t stop the smallest of furrows from reaching his brow.

“Aventurine, I’m so glad that I can make you happy. You make me happy too-”.

“There are so many things in my past I want to forget and, although you can’t erase my memories, being with you makes it so much easier to cope…”

Although he was speaking in the same tone he always does, Ratio could detect something eminently sad in his voice, and so the doctor reached out to his lover,  and lovingly pressed gentle lips to his forehead, palm snaking to cup the gentle curve of his jaw. The blonde leaned into the touch, eyes screwed shut, a twist of pain on his face. A few gentle brushes from Ratio’s thumb was all it took for Aventurine eyes to flutter open, and were greeted by pools of liquid sunset staring right back at him, urging him to continue - if he wanted to. 

And so he did.
