I’m well aware I’m not exactly a brilliant author — I’m not a native speaker, my stories are strange little creatures, and I tend to start writing from the middle rather than following any kind of chronological order. 😅

I don’t think the narrative broke Tyler—quite the opposite, in fact. I believe that everything he went through actually helped him piece his shattered life back together and, for the first time, take control of his own story.

Granted, I’m sure the outcome will be as chaotic and surreal as a Picasso painting, but maybe—just maybe—that's exactly what he needed.

Perhaps Tyler had to come face to face with the monster inside him to truly understand who he is and where he belongs in the world. It's not about redemption in the traditional sense. It's about integration—about owning every fractured, frightening part of himself and forging something new from the wreckage.

Because sometimes it takes becoming the beast to figure out how to be human.

Look, I don’t think this whole thing is just Wenclair vs. Weyler anymore.

Lurking around the internet, I’ve noticed a trend: a lot of newer fans treat the idea of Wednesday having actual feelings for Tyler like it’s some kind of character downgrade. Like she’s suddenly weak for… having a crush?

And honestly? It’s giving major “that Veronica Mars season we all pretend doesn’t exist” vibes.

Because, apparently, a female lead is only considered strong if she runs purely on rage, vengeance, and emotional repression. God forbid she has a boyfriend. Or — gasp — a partner who gets her and maybe even waits for her at home. If she has someone, then she’s not “badass” anymore. She’s just… what? Domestic?

I’m sorry, that’s feminism now?

It just sounds like good ol’ misanthropy wearing a girlboss t-shirt to me.

Was just thinking that’s it’s actually crazy how so many people hate Tyler. I’m really guessing all the people who do are also under the age of 18 because taking a step back and realizing Tyler is like 16/17 in the show made me so upset.

My job is working with troubled youth and I’m in my early 20’s, to me the 16 yr olds I work with are BABIES.

If you’re an adult who is hating on Tyler’s character I think that’s insane. Empathy may be lost because the actors are older and everything is dramatized and unreal, but step back and just think about it. SIXTEEN AND SEVENTEEN is so small and I’m not even 25 yet.

16 being tied to a cave wall NAKED AND DRUGGED?!?!?! And we see as 17/18 in the trailer he’s chained to the wall in the psych ward? Thats so heartbreaking.

Unhealed Wounds Your Character Pretends Are Just “Personality Traits”

These are the things your character claims are just “how they are” but really, they’re bleeding all over everyone and calling it a vibe.

╰ They say they're "independent." Translation: They don’t trust anyone to stay. They learned early that needing people = disappointment. So now they call it “being self-sufficient” like it’s some shiny badge of honor. (Mostly to cover up how lonely they are.)

╰ They say they're "laid-back." Translation: They stopped believing their wants mattered. They'll eat anywhere. Do anything. Agree with everyone. Not because they're chill, but because the fight got beaten out of them a long time ago.

╰ They say they're "a perfectionist." Translation: They believe mistakes make them unlovable. Every typo. Every bad hair day. Every misstep feels like proof that they’re worthless. So they polish and polish and polish... until there’s nothing real left.

╰ They say they're "private." Translation: They’re terrified of being judged—or worse, pitied. Walls on walls on walls. They joke about being “mysterious” while desperately hoping no one gets close enough to see the mess behind the curtain.

╰ They say they're "ambitious." Translation: They think achieving enough will finally make the emptiness go away. If they can just get the promotion, the award, the validation—then maybe they’ll finally outrun the feeling that they’re fundamentally broken. (It never works.)

╰ They say they're "good at moving on." Translation: They’re world-class at repression. They’ll cut people out. Bury heartbreak. Pretend it never happened. And then wonder why they wake up at 3 a.m. feeling like they're suffocating.

╰ They say they're "logical." Translation: They’re terrified of their own feelings. Emotions? Messy. Dangerous. Uncontrollable. So they intellectualize everything to avoid feeling anything real. They call it rationality. (It's fear.)

╰ They say they're "loyal to a fault." Translation: They mistake abandonment for loyalty. They stay too long. Forgive too much. Invest in people who treat them like an afterthought, because they think walking away makes them "just as bad."

╰ They say they're "resilient." Translation: They don't know how to ask for help without feeling like a burden. They wear every bruise like a trophy. They survive things they should never have had to survive. And they call it strength. (But really? It's exhaustion wearing a cape.)
