Ok time to talk #pcos and #endometriosis. Despite having a butt load of symptoms i am still battling for a formal diagnosis and treatment plan. I am not the first lady to have to put up with being dismissed and wont be the last My years dealing with #gyne units has been marred with negative experiences, and this has me concerned. I have friends who suffer worse than i do and longer than i have who are still being swept away and poo pood. Surely this isnt right? All my gp can focus on is me losing weight. Even to the point of literally telling me to go a day or two without eating!!! Ive been told my heavy batshit periods are normal. Ive been told i have pcos then that i dont then that i do. Ive never had a laparoscopy but had multiple scans each showing something different. Ive been under 3 hospital's and wiated months for appointments It is like banging your head against a brick wall I cannot have more children and i have asked for a hysterectomy and been refused incase i change my mind. I cant change my mind id love more kids but physically am unable. So put me out of my misery ? If my partner went to his gp and said his man parts were causing him.issues theyd be on it like a shot. If he asked to be snipped itd be done ( yes its reversible but still) It just absolutely blows my mind that as a woman, ive never experienced what id describe as sexism or whatever until i had to endure gyne clinics. And that generally is other women treating women....... Ive been made to feel dramatic, uneducated on periods ( im 33 for fuck sake) ignored, unimportant and uncared for. What does a girl need to do to be heard? These images show my stomach during a baaaaad time with my ovary a couple of days ago, i felt like i had a ball of barbed wire floating in a pool of acid inside me. And normal service is slowly resuming! I have been out of my game for a bloody WHILE but im starting to feel able to build it all back up again. With a little motivation, patience and inspiration i will get back my fitness and energy levels. Last night was a lovely 20 minute light spin session on my bike. This morning i was a bit tired so decided a nice quick but intensive HIIT would do the trick. 10 minutes of HIIT and im sweating my ass off but feel good. A workout doesnt need to be hours long, it can be 10 minutes and still produce good results as long as you put the work and effort in 100% for those 10 minutes. My glasses are steaming up and sliding off my face as i type. Off to shower and then blood tests and work. No rest for the wicked.
