Shinobu could practically feel the nervousness radiating from the woman, making her extremely confused but still kept the soft smile on her face.

"[Name], dear? What seems to be the matter?" Hearing her name called out, the called girl visibly flinched.

She faced her wife, clearly caught off guard. "S-Shino!" Kocho hummed, tilting her head.

"Are you feeling alright?" The smile on her face dropped as her knees too dropped to the ground, raising a hand to get the bangs on [Name]'s forehead out of the way. She then rested her own forehead, feeling the girl's temperature with a teasing smile.

[Name] felt her cheeks warm up in embarrassment, heart skipping multiple beats as she tried getting Shinobu off. "B-Babe! You're already back from work?"

Seeing how flustered her wife is, Shinobu felt the sides of her lips curve up more, she decided to stop and sit down straight, even if she is not.

"Mhm, fortunately, no other patients were admitted other than the ones already residing the hospital. I got Kanao and the others take care of it." She explained, looking up at [Name] with an absolute love struck expression. Though, her wife remained oblivious.

"Uhm, that s-sounds great! Does that mean y-you're free..?" [Name] timidly asked, looking down while biting her lips, and gripping her fists.

A sigh escaped Shinobu's mouth, she caressed her lover's beautiful hair with her gentle hand and loving gaze. "Indeed, I am. Though, you seem to be quite nervous about something. Mind telling me what?"

"Well.." A guilty look can be seen in the face of the [Hair Color] haired woman as she looked away, ashamed. "You-you know why.."

"Hmm, looks like I forgot about it. Do enlighten me, dear!"

"Shinobu, why are you acting so clueless! Aren't you.." [Name] was clearly shocked at her own outburst while Shinobu didn't seem to react, continuing on smiling.

The taller woman looked away, "A-Aren't you.. angry at me?"

Blink, blink, blink. The purple eyed woman looked at [Name] in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"Eh?"

Once again, she sighed. Kocho went closer to her wife's face, pecking her lips before standing up to go lay in their shared bed instead, leaving [Name] extremely flustered at the sudden yet bold move of her wife. Though, it's normal for lovers to be affectionate to each other- but with how busy both are with their own jobs, they couldn't be touchy with each other these days. Plus, [Name] is someone easily flustered, one simple thing like this would immediately set her face in fire.

[Name] herself, too, stood up and laid beside the beautiful woman with a bright blush across her face. She embraced the woman warmly, setting her arms around Shinobu's waist and resting her head on the woman's chest.

Shinobu had a small blush on her face, though it's barely visible. She hugged back, smelling the flowery fragrance that surrounds her wife. It never failed to fasten the pace of her heartbeat. She even felt butterflies dancing inside her stomach as the both of them cuddled.

"I'm sorry.." [Name] buried her head deeper, her hold tightened.

"I won't accept your apology if you're not being specific with what you're sorry about."

"I'm sorry!" Shinobu was startled when her wife looked up with tears flooding out of her eyes. Her expression melted into a soft one, smiling while patting the girl's head as the childish cute wife of hers tried explaining what she's guilty about.

"I-I know that we're not very open about our relationship in public and we recently just got married but! I really do love you! I-I'm sorry if I didn't fully stop that guy myself f-from flirting with me! I tried stopping him by saying I'm married a-and even showing m-my ring but he continued! If it weren't for Tomioka-san's help, he wouldn't have left me alone! I swear I'm loyal to you, I love you with all of my heart- so please! Don't leave me, you're all I have left!"

[Name] sobbed as she explained her side of things, trying to stop herself from crying further but it was obviously not working as she continued on hiccuppping and even having a hard time breathing.

While Shinobu listened carefully, she fixed her eyes on her wife as she listened to all she had to say. So, that's what's troubling her love?

With a smile, the shorter woman responded, "I'm not mad at all."

[Name] pouted, looking up. "Y-You're not?"

Oh, just how adorable can this crybaby be?

"Of course not! In fact, I'm glad that you're safe."

"B-But-!"

"I trust you, [Name]. Ever since you became my lover until we got married, I've placed my trust on you. And I'm happy that you kept your promise in loving me only."

Sniff. "You really have that much faith on me?"

"T-Then, do you love me too? As much as I love you? That's already a lot you know, cuz- I love you.. a lot." Her voice died down, she's clearly a bit flustered but Shinobu still managed to hear her words as she chuckled seeing how cute her wife being is.

[Name] had now fallen asleep, she laid on the bed, looking completely innocent, peaceful and most important of all, looking very beautiful. Shinobu couldn't take her eyes off her, just how beautiful can this girl get? Kocho can barely breathe when she's around yet she dares to look as adorable as this? Is her wife trying to kill her or something?

She sighed then looked down at her mobile phone, scrolling through her page to see anything new. And a certain news caught her attention.

“Man, also identified as "--------", had been discovered in an abandoned alley, dead. It's speculated that the man was poisoned. Authorities are currently investigating the case, along with other cases like these. Until now, they still have no idea what's causing this insane killing spree. In this year alone, there's 16 recent cases of people getting poisoned and hopes are dying out because of lack of evidence. Residents are advised to stay at home, especially at night.”

A smirk slowly crept to her face.

"Oh my, they found it fast. I guess I was quite in a hurry to find a good spot for the body to hide. Though, I'm disappointed they only managed to find half. Welp."

Kocho Shinobu, with a dark look, and certain intention hidden in her eyes, looked down at the sleeping [Name]. Her eyes already turning hearts as she bit her lips, intensely scanning all the girl's features.

"It's all right now, [Nickname]. You're safe with me, no nuisance will bother you-- even if there is, I'll take care of it."

[Name] was afraid that Shinobu might be mad because she knew Tomioka would immediately alarm her with things like these.

Giyuu really did tell Shinobu about this, and the woman wasn't as surprised as before, considering how good looking her wife is, multiple men and women had tried their luck in getting her. Perhaps, she should be giving her PDA? No, she's having too much fun.

Giyuu knows what Shinobu has been doing all this time, but he doesn't mind at all. If he did, he wouldn't be stalking [Name] and telling everything to Shinobu. He adores [Name] a lot as she is one of his remaining close friends left, and actually views her as a younger sister he wishes to protect at all times.
