I chose to do Arachnophobia, as i think thats something Drayton would TEASEEE someone for, where as Phonophobia would almost be mocking and that is out of character for Drayton to do that. 🩷

Spinarak | Drayton Headcannons (Arachnophobia reader)

Drayton first learns of your fear of arachnids on a trip to Kitakami when a Spinaak snuck up on the two of you during a nice walk. When you practically jumped into Drayton's arms to get away from the very confused pokemon that was just curious as to why people were around; Followed by you repeating “get it away” over and over again. Drayton put it together on his own.

When out together after, on the rare occasion you both encounter a Dewpider or Araquinid out in the wild, Drayton will offer to ‘Defend’ you from the pokemon, putting on this act for you to laugh at about being your hero and how he will slay the beast. Probably got the idea from one of Lacey's books.

He teases you ALL the time, not the harmful teasing but the annoyingly cute kind of teasing when someone has a fear. The saying there's Spidops in the grass when there isn’t, that kind of thing.

Colgate may tease you but he isn't mean about it, he knows this is a fear he has his own, Drayton moreover wants to make you laugh about it - To help try and lessen the fear through making you smile with his dumb jokes.

Randomly when he hugs you from behind he’ll scurry his fingers up your side which usually earns him an elbow in response. His pokemon are in on it too, sometimes when Drayton distracts you with his Draytonisms, his pokemon have planted a rubber Dewpider somewhere. Which later will be used as a throwing weapon.

And after every prank it always ends with you chuckling whilst Drayton rubs his neck embarrassed to hide his victorious smile at making you laugh with something arachnid related.

Drayton won’t stand if someone genuinely mocks you for this fear. It isn’t your fault for just being afraid of something, that's normal, you shouldn’t be ridiculed for it, so trust and believe he will stand up for you or aid you in standing up for yourself. He won’t be standing idly by, that's all i’ll say.

One time when you were back in Paldea, a Tarountula somehow got into your dorm room. This resulted in a frantic Rotom phone call to Drayton, who attempted to instruct you on how to get rid of it since he can’t. That uhhh didn’t work so the final resort was used. You went to find Nemona and Arven whoever came first.

Hope you like Halloween, remember the rubber Dewpiders? Everywhere on Halloween, you would still be finding some come Christmas time. He only did this once, he likes living.

Coffee break | Diantha x reader

“That was quite the show you put on yesterday huh!” You smiled, watching back your brother's televised battle from yesterday. Wallace won with little to no issue and decided to make a display of it by putting on a performance during the battle, hyping the audience up and definitely helping his image of elegance. “I do think the large bubbles popping over the fans was a bit too much though. I don’t think we’ve handed out so many towels before”

“Nothing is ever too much, why hold back when I can put on a show? Besides, it was quite the stunt, cough my opponent by surprise, I mustn't let them know my next move now?” Wallace teased in response, wafting his hair slightly before taking a sip from his drink.

“Yeah yeah yeah, whatever you say.” You mocked in response, waving your hand in a talking motion causing Wallace to scoff before joining you in a chuckle.

This was a rare moment for the pair of you, Wallace was used to being bombarded by the press and paparazzi, and being his sibling, you certainly weren't out of the clearing yet - most ask how Wallace is doing or if you will ever step into the spotlight in the same way he does. So when your brother found a nice coffee shop that was willing to keep your arrival a secret, you both jumped on the opportunity. And now here you both sat enjoying a nice break, Wallace enjoying a nice coffee whilst you watched his battle analysing it and teasing him whilst he retorted back. It wasn’t a unique sibling dynamic but it was special regardless.

“Did you mean to miss that dazzling gleam? You suspiciously started sparkling after using it hm?” You questioned, raising an eyebrow as his face gave everything away.

“I have noooo idea what you are talking about.” He takes another sip from his drink, a knowing look in his eyes. It seems as though he's about to continue when the chiming of the cafe’s bell catches his attention, and it seems the person walking through did as well when he starts waving them over. “Diantha, what a pleasant surprise!”

“Ah Wallace, lovely to see you again.” Diantha quickly answered, making her way over before greeting him with two air kisses on either cheek. “How are you? I saw your battle, such a performance.”

Wallace wafted his hair again, winking in a friendly manner before speaking, "Would you expect anything less from me?”

“Never.” Her response was blunt but kind, a soft smile on her face earning one from Wallace as well. So far you had gone mostly unnoticed by the champion, despite being the sibling of Wallace, you never actually encountered Diantha directly, sure you’ve seen her and thought of her as the embodiment of beauty just like everyone else did. But, seeing her in person… was almost surreal, her beauty was beyond anything you’d seen, she held herself so highly, her elegance, her confidence, it radiated off her and a blush couldn’t help but form on your face, although luckily masked by the warm lighting of the cafe.

“Ah! Diantha, I forgot to introduce you both.” Wallace gestured his hand to you, causing you to blink in confusion as to why you're suddenly being mentioned.

Diantha turned her attention directly to you and a warm, kind smile crossed her lips, a different one from the smile she gave Wallace. “Ahhh you must be Wallace's sibling, I have heard so much about you my darling! You most certainly got the looks of your family.”

Wallace scoffed in offence, raising his hand to his chest in dramatic fashion as Diantha just ignored him taking your hands in hers and kissing both your cheeks as she did with Wallace, although with you, she actually kissed them causing both surprise and embarrassment to cross your face earning a light giggle from Diantha who seemed to know exactly what she was doing.

“Well on that very untrue comment, I shall be seeing myself out, the people can only wait so long. Do tell me how this little ‘encounter’ goes won’t you?” Wallace motioned at you. Leaving so suddenly was out of character for him, he would normally make a show of leaving or get dragged out by Steven for whatever reason. But when he offered you a wink before leaving… you pieced it all together, he also noticed the way you were blushing like a school kid when Diantha looked at you, how it got worse when she kissed your cheeks and offered you a compliment, and now he was just digging this hole deeper and deeper for you by leaving the pair of you alone.

“You are adorable, you know.” Diantha stated, catching you completely off guard making her laugh, "I'm sorry my dear, i didn’t know what else to say to break your train of thought. What had you so focused just now?

“OH i- uh. Ahem. uh nothing nothing. You want to sit down? Those heels must hurt” You tried to sway the topic in a different direction, noticing how she was still standing after Wallace left.

That kind smile crossed her face as she sat down opposite you, filling the space Wallace had just left, "That's very kind of you to offer, you needn't worry about me. These heels are so worn down I must replace them soon.”

“You look lovely regardless.” You complimented, the honest tone in your voice made her lightly blush but remained composed until you caught onto what you had said, which made her chuckle as you tried to retort, “I mean uh, they are nice shoes not that you're lovely… YOU ARE! I mean you look lovely, the shoes, wait i-”

“Can I get you a coffee?” Diantha cut you off before you had a chance to turn into a Slugma from how red you were turning. “I noticed you did not have a drink when I arrived.”

“Okay… yeah thank you. You uh… surprise me with the drink” You smiled before awkwardly turning your face to look outside.

“As you wish, darling.” She teased, standing up and placing her hand on your shoulder as she passed. Suddenly the Starly pecking the ground outside was very interesting.

Rika | Romantic Headcannons Pt2

Dates with Rika are quite tame. Don’t get me wrong they are always special but she isn’t going to go over the top extreme for a date when she can save all her best tricks for the more important occasions you share. A nice dinner, a walk through Paldea, simple things like that.

Your birthday is an example of this. Rika shares that in common with Grusha where just like him, she will turn it into a multiple day event, pulling out every damn trick in the book and even some you would never see coming. I’ll let you decide when that is.

She plays into the male joke EVERY TIME. So many people still mistake her for being a boy and she loves it. Rika has asked you to play along if it ever happens when you're out with her and you do, it makes her day every time. She’ll deepen her voice and everything before just randomly changing back to herself again to cause the best whiplash effect in a person and it's great.

Rika is not into matching clothes and sharing clothes, she wants you to have your own style and opinions. HOWEVER! She does match gloves with you, a subtle way to show your connection. Clodsire definitely approves of the gloves.

Whilst she is naturally a lover of physical contact, adores cuddling, all the sappy stuff, when it comes to sleeping though, don’t try, not unless you want to be kicked in the face.

She has 2 sleeping moods, her regular where she sleeps on her stomach, arm dangling off the side the other splayed somewhere on your side and she will not move. Her second is if she's exhausted to the point she just conks out the moment she hits the bed. Anyone here seen Attack on Titan? You guys know Bertholdt? Sorry Burrito.  If not, look his sleeping positions up. You will understand.

She makes an excellent roast, and that is the extent of her cooking skills. 10/10 person for christmas dinner. Bout a 3/10 for a regular  dinner. Though if you like scrambled eggs, Rika is good at those and only those. At least she's a better chef than Dendra.

Constantly uses her height as an advantage, she knows she is taller than most, so if you happen to be shorter than her, she will show off her height all the time, makes a show of it too. Hair flip, hand on the hip, wink. And if you are taller than her, she will pretend she can’t reach something which she very clearly can, just so you can do the same thing i just explained. Lives for the drama, what can i say.

Movie nights and TV marathons are always great, this is one of the rare occasions she will relax completely, Rika even bought a Paldean Wooper Onesie just to see your reaction only to find out you had bought a normal Wooper one and now you both wear them every single time. Traditions, people, traditions.

Rika | Romantic Headcannons

Rika is one hell of a sweet talker. I'm talking Skyrim lvl 100 speech check smooth. And her flirting game is unmatched. 

But the SECOND you compliment her, doesn’t even have to be flirty, if you just say something nice about her with a genuine smile, she's gone. Outside she smiles and thanks you but inside her brain, Rika is on her knees screaming to arceus above because she can’t handle it. 

Has a problem of thinking you are way too good for her, so she tries to almost earn your affection by doing things for you and trying to impress you so you’ll think highly of her.

The groggiest sleeper on earth. She walks like a hunched over zombie first thing in the morning, not to mention it takes her about half an hour to actually get out of bed. Once she’s eaten she’s back to herself so have breakfast ready in advance if you need her to be up early.

Rika takes pride in what she wears, so she has A LOT of clothes, more specifically long sleeved button up shirts in every colour, pattern, design you can think of. Including 20 different Hawaiian shirts she got from a holiday she took you on to Alola. And yes she has and will model every single shirt for you.

Never talk down about yourself in her presence, in fact don’t do it at all, she will know… and she won’t forget. Be prepared to be overwhelmed with love and affection from her if you do because she will not let this awfully incorrect opinion stand.

Bobs up and down when excited, arms in front of her, balled fists. She looks like an excited child and she could care less. You think she looks adorable when she does it and it makes you happy there for she will keep doing it. If you're happy, she's happy.

Naturally dramatic, but if you’re around she turns the drama from theatrical to Rarity from my little pony. It's an effort to make you laugh 9/10 times it works. The 1/10 is when she's trying to escape an interview and is faning ill to Geeta. (She loves her job but sometimes, 75 interviews with kids and teenagers in a row is to much)

Arm linker through and through.

Rika religiously walks with her hands in her pockets and more often than not, talks with her hands, so she prefers if you hug her arm when walking as she can keep you much closer than just dragging you behind her by the hand.

Her love language is physical touch and acts of service. She can sometimes act like a butler to you because like I said, she thinks you are too good for her and wants to impress you. As for touching ohhhh boy, let's just say one of her favourite things is to just grab you randomly when she's sat down and plop you on her lap and pretend it never happened.

Although it took a very long time to get here, your first kiss took months to happen because she kept backing out. Rika can flirt the house down and give you one liner that makes your knees weak as easily as a hot knife through butter. Kissing though? Rika brain.exe has stopped working.

 When she finally does kiss you the first time, it very very quickly becomes her favourite thing and she despises her brain for not letting her do it sooner because it was a kiss for the romance history books.

Grusha Romance Headcannons | INFJ reader

Grusha may act cold towards others, but for you he warms up a lot and tries to make everything as easy and comfortable for you as possible. Whilst he doesn’t fully understand everything about personality types - he does do his homework and tries his best to understand you.

Something he loves and almost envies about you is just how creative and passionate you are about something. When your mind runs, it runs and that creative flow just lets loose. It's a sight he adores, seeing you so latched onto something and so invested in every little detail he can’t help but want to match the energy even if he can’t.

A not so fun thing however is the fact both of you are highly determined people. Once your mind sets on something, if it's a passion you will do what it takes to get there. Grusha is exactly the same, so if the two of you differ on opinions… prepare for a pokemon battle: Winners right (even if they aren't)

On a lighter night, he is very patient with you and knows just how much of a perfectionist you are and how easily this causes you to burn out (Ohhh i have been here on the daily). Grusha always makes sure you are comfortable and has some nice hot chocolate ready for you both when you need some time to just let your mind relax and reboot.

Your caring nature rubs off on the man it really does, but he worries for you A LOT. He knows what kindness can do and sometimes it's not always a blessing. Whilst he loves how caring you are for others, he does tell you that sometimes your needs come first. 

I have stated before, Grusha is a private person through and through - you are also a very private person, a match made in heaven. Because it means you can both stay in and not deal with the public! Grusha rarely goes down the mountain unless necessary as he isn’t a fan or interactions with strangers or the public eye. So having you with him he wouldn’t want to ever put you through the same stress.

He will ALWAYS plan things in advance with you and he WILL stick to whatever it is you two plan. So don’t worry about plans changing when your mind is made up. He is too.

When it comes to cuddling, Grusha isn’t much of a touchy person so he tends to let you take the lead in that regard but he also knows you can be a little sensitive at times, he is too, so he gets it! He’ll take the lead on that case, he will only ask you if you want an ear to listen, advice, a cuddle or a murder partner.

Sometimes Grusha can be very indecisive, usually with plans on what he wants to do first in a day, that's where you come in. You are his compass. He'll ask you what he should do and get your opinion. Based on what you tell him determines what he does first.

Both of you are strikingly similar so you understand each other's struggles and victories. It’s a great way to support one another and know you both always have each other to lean on.

Dragon pillow | Lance x Reader

Lance is a stubborn man. A stubborn, stubborn man. Sometimes too stubborn for his own good. He could be lying on his damn deathbed and still be running the league and solving every problem. Which unfortunately tends to put you in a… difficult situation. He loves you so much, and he truly would do anything for you: but even you struggle to get him to rest. No matter how sick or worn down he is, Lance will stand his ground as long as possible.

“Lance, I can hear your muscles screaming from inside the house!” Your voice cut through his training thoughts, a slight twinge of irritation in your voice scratched at his ears.

Looking over his shoulder, he smiled at you, almost trying to mask the aching feeling he was having. “I appreciate your concern love, but I'm alright, I promise you.”

“Really?” Crossing your arms with a raised eyebrow you continued, not believing a word he just said. “You’re slouched dear. It looks like someone put a crane hook in your back and is trying to lift you up.”

“I’m not leaning!?” He almost sounded offended as he answered, turning on his heel to look at you only to clutch his gut and lean even further forward, his other hand on his knee so he doesn’t actually fall over.

“Now you are.” Already standing by his side, you hook your arm around him in order to act as support, his Dragonite no longer bullying a tree, is stud by his side with you. “I love you, but please Lance, you need to rest! You aren't well, I know, your pokemon knows it, and you know it.”

Lance shook his head, making an attempt to stand up straight, placing his hand on your shoulder to do so. “I’ve got it, I’m alright it's just some indigestion.”

“I will drag you into bed by your cloak and have Dragonite sit on your damn legs if that's what it will take to get you to rest.” Lance’s Dragonite grunted in agreement with you, mimicking the current stare of determination you are giving him.

And as hard as he tried, deep down Lance knew you were right, his body was screaming at him to stop. Everything within him ached, his gut churned in discomfort, his head was rushing and the bullets he was sweating certainly weren't helping his case. “Alright, alright… I’ll take a break.”

“Good! Come on!” With a new spring in your step, happy in your victory that your beloved is actually on his way to get some rest. Seeing your smile as you carefully took his hand helping him back into the house… Now it really was impossible for him to deny you.

It was rare for Lance to let you take care of him. To him, you are his everything and he wants to take care of you, to keep you safe. So when he does let you, it's an opportunity you won’t pass up. Besides, seeing him in comfy clothes, curled up in bed relaxed is a sight too adorable to ignore.

“You stay right there and I will make you some soup and hot chocolate. There's ibuprofen in the draw, take two. I’ll know if you don’t.” Your voice stern as you point from the draw to him, turning towards his Dragonite who was sitting on the floor by the bed eating an oran berry Lance gave him. “Watch him.”

“Hold on love.” A slight croak crossed Lance’s voice causing you to contort with worry, making you want to help him even more. But then he reached out to you, “Join me, I'd prefer to have you here with me.”

“Lance…”

“Please? I can make myself something when I wake up. I may want something to ease the aching, but I need you with me.” He was dead serious, arm still outstretched awaiting you. His Dragonite makes a chirping sound to encourage you to stay.

“You are impossible sometimes.” You give in, taking his hand as he almost yanks you into his side, laying back with you, one arm around your back the other holding your hand keeping you secure to his chest.

A long, deep sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes, feeling your hand run along his arm and chest. His Dragonites head sank part of the bed as he tried to get in on the cuddles. “I already feel better. My love, your embrace is the best medicine I could ask for.”

“Rest now darling, I'll make something for you when you wake up.” Running your fingers along his jaw, you felt his arm tighten on your back as he took the hand on his face and pressed a long, loving kiss on your knuckles.

“I love you… Promise you’ll still be here? I’ll drag you back here if you get up just like you said.” Lance teased, nodding to the empty and playful threat you’d made earlier on.

I am SO SO late to this one, it got lost in the sea of requests I have but I fished it out and i shall GLADLY write for Jacq.

Jacq | General Headcannons

No matter who you are, how long he’s known you. Stranger; student; boss; partner - anything! He will greet everyone in the same exact way, every time. “Hello Hello!” With that same bright cheery smile, every time.

Jacq cares about his students so much, for the short period they are with him, he will do all he can to make their time as enjoyable and fun as he possibly can whilst still maintaining a good learning environment everyone can work in.

He can be very strict, usually only with homework however. It's rare he gives it out, usually around exam season is when he hands it out. If someone hands it in late without a valid reason or ‘loses’ it, Jacq will be VERY disappointed. He will let them do the homework with him watching as a peace offering.

Something that brings him joy is seeing his students socializing and making friends. Students from his homeroom sometimes run in excitement and will ramble about something their friends said and it lights him up. 

Jacq is exactly the same wa\y, he too loves making friends, it's why when he goes to blueberry he was so excited, not just for the pokemon but also getting to learn from the other teachers and students. He is a social person, so talking and meeting new people is something he prides himself of.

One of the most intelligent people in Paldea. If you want to know about pokemon, he is the man to go to. He'll have an answer to any pokemon question you could have! Except for eggs, he tends to ‘avoid’ that topic in a non-classroom situation.

He made the pokedex app. He is extremely good with technology, fight me. Plus he was so excited when he saw the blueberry dex that he wanted to learn all about it and fill it out! And his fascination with a school made almost entirely of technology. Took him back to being a kid again.

Apologies A LOT, and I mean a lot. One thing goes wrong and he thinks it's his fault, even if he wasn’t even there. If he thinks he said something wrong, he will apologise. Correct someone even in class, he will apologise after correcting them. He is still a teacher.

When he isn’t teaching or sitting in a teachers meeting - he is out somewhere in Paldea  or Kitakami, examining the pokemon wild life, trying to expand his already very large knowledge of the pokemon world. It's nearly impossible to find him if he isn’t at school or you have his number.

Wears comfy clothes, 20/4/7. Have you seen his work clothes!? Man is comfortable and is not ashamed of it and I love it. He will never wear socks with sandals. Ever.

Those hexagon glasses he rocks? Yeah he has 30 more, each in different colours. Do we ever see them? No. Why? Because he can never decide which ones to wear, he ends up going to black every time.

Mumbles, a lot. He is an over thinker and an over analyser. Jacq will mumble under his breath and often make hand gestures along with what he is saying.

His hair? Bed hair. That is how he looks as soon as he wakes up. He tames those few little stray hairs, then he is out the door and ready to teach.

Gurl, I'm on my period and need Lance temper/angry headcanons. I love how this man is NOT nice- he's KIND. And that kindness comes with him going apeshit when needed. People are wrongfully calling him a bleeding heart and just a "nice guy" no sis, he's a king with a righteous temper.

IKR, he is a nice guy but he is also someone with fiery temper! He can be so sweet and kind, but he will kick ass and put someone in there place. His hair don't look like that for nothing.

Lance | Anger Headcannons

Let's get one thing out of the way first. Lance has a temper, and it's a hot temper. HOWEVER it does take a lot to get him to fully snap, he’s in control of his emotions, but he is a passionate man. Getting him to snap isn’t easy but when he does, he does.

His battle anger is not actually anger. Its more intense focus. He seems frustrated or annoyed but its just how he acts in battle to give off a more commanding presence. You'll know he's fine if he smiles when yelling a command or he moves his cloak in a dramatic fashion (we've seen the Gen 4/let's go sprites we know he got some drama in him)

Lance's ACTUALL temper comes out a little different.

His anger comes out in one of two ways: 1) Silent brooding stare. This is his most common form of frustration - usually towards someone else's attitude, something going wrong for him, or listening to someone talk about team rocket for the thousandth time. He’s annoyed but still in control of himself.

2) Pure unadulterated rage. This is rare for him. Lance only loses control of himself under VERY specific situations. Someone directly harms a pokemon in front of him, someone harms someone close to him. Either of those and he will go off. Whether it's physical violence or a pokemon battle, you will know he’s lost it.

When he’s bad, constantly balled up fists, poor man has nail imprints in his pams from how hard he clenches his fists. His face is the biggest tell. He won’t go red in the face (His hair does that already) But his eyes give it all away. Dark and focused, almost vacant to anything else around him other than his target.

He LOCKS ON

We all saw how he handles team rocket, same stare, that pure focus and commanding presence is the exact same as when he loses it fully.

Now let me make this clear, he talks a lot and he is honest. He will say exactly what he means but he will try and be polite and not offend on purpose. Unless he's frustrated:

Lance will speak A LOT less when upset but when he does, he will make whoever his anger is target at, feel as small as a Tynamo. He will never do this to someone he cares for however. He will simply leave the room and take his frustrations out on a random tree before coming back.

Whilst he is passionate he will never hurt someone he truly cares for, it would go against everything he's worked to protect.

Although he is incredibly easy to calm down. Again i must specify he IS IN CONTROL he doesn’t need anger management therapy for problems of acting out, no his is a calm man with a strong moral compass so when he defends something or someone he will go to hell and back.

To get him to calm down, if he is brooding, just take him away from the situation and talk to him about something he likes, usually enough to calm him down. If he’s locked in however, that is leave him alone and let him pace around. Remove him from whatevers getting him ready to punch someone and just let his pokemon calm him down. 

If you know Steven Universe, how ruby paces around when upset. Same thing just minus the speaking, man has an inner monologue with himself.

Oh and he holds Grudges for life. He can forgive, but he will never forget.

When Colgate first learnt about your headache problem, he honestly felt bad. He thought at first it was his fault, maybe the lights in his dorm were too bright, maybe he was talking too loudly, maybe he woke you up too early, maybe he went a bit too harsh on the battle style.

But after you tell him the truth and it was just a natural thing for you, he begins to find it easier to help you cope more. Even if you already have ways to cope or even are able to completely ignore them. Man is STILL gonna find a way to put you at ease.

He’ll turn to Carmine and Lacey for help. To everyone's shock.

Using their advice, and things you have told him, Drayton starts to subtly alter some things - just to hopefully make it easier on your head. 

Dimming his lights in his room, making sure he doesn’t wake you up and that you rest well, making sure you drink and eat, being more careful with his battles whenever you watch and a lot of other small things you barely would notice.

He has caught you on many occasions whenever you do the head rush wobble, he is right there. If you are falling, he is going down with you.

Is he doing it to keep you safe? Yes. Is he doing it as an excuse to trap you in his arms? ABSOLUTELY

Unfortunately something he can’t stop is the “Tera Migraine” As he started calling it. First time he terastilized in your first battle, he saw the look of pain and discomfort on your face and the way your hand held your forehead. Back then he thought maybe you didn’t like the bright tera lights. NOW he understands you were in pain and your entire head was throbbing from the flashing lights.

He has bought you black out shades in EVERY DAMN COLOUR AVAILABLE. If you are going to watch a league, one of his battles or want to battle against him, You have those shades on. Which they do help numb the impact, doesn’t take it away but it certainly isn’t as bad.

It goes from a “Who put a raging bull in my head and why are my eyes burning out my skull!?” to “I wanna nap in a pitch black room with a Furret, leave me alone.”

And don’t worry, if you end up in a random tera battle… we all know that one. Damn. Tauros… Drayton has a pair, or three on hand

That statement couldn’t be more true than this moment right now. Curtains closed; a darkened room illuminated by only a table lamp; not a sound from outside. Pure tranquillity. Not a Pokémon in sight, just a moment of silent love. Words are unspoken, but the gaze you gave to him, even though he couldn’t see it in his slumber. The love spoke more than a thousand words from one simple look. Deep down, you wished this moment would never end. It was no secret to you just how hard your boyfriend had been on himself, and it broke your heart in two.

A moment he will never forgive, and a mistake he will never allow himself to forget. Beating himself down over and over, allowing those thoughts to plague his racing mind. A whirlwind of pain and a cascade of regrets. In this moment, do not exist, you won’t allow it. 

Your embrace a shield, your breaths causing your chest to rise and fall acting as threads, keeping his heart together and his mind at ease.

If only this night would go on a little longer. But the lull of sleep is one no one can resist. But for now, the memory is enough.

Penny | General Headcannons

Before the events in area-zero, Penny barely attended school, preferring to stay in her dorm room behind an Alias. After however, upon meeting you, Arven and Nemona, she began to come out of her shell more and now actually has an attendance, at least in classes she shares with one of her friends.

Penny is a collector. More specifically a Pop collector, We all saw her dorm room, those shelves had figures and pops and i know she has more somewhere! 

Trust is not something our girl hands out lightly. Penny is shy and timid. To be on her trust list is an achievement in itself. When she opens up to you in Area Zero and helps Nemona and Arven, that's the moment she truly trusted you and the golden duo. The team star leaders are the only others she would pour her heart out to. Don’t break her trust - you’ll never get it back.

Gaming NERD. Knows every little thing about every game she has ever played. The tiniest little niche thing, she will; know it. Penny has tried to get Arven to game before, granted it was a partially forced interaction by Nemona and you. It did not work, good thing you were there to prevent a broken controller and possible window. 

It is NO SECRET that Penny is a tech nerd, Math is her strong suit along with Battle class,  and she has a surprisingly good mental compass (Leon cannot compute). However, she cannot draw or cook. Microwave meals do not count if they did, she would be a chef.

Penny is no Nemona when it comes to battling. BUT, she knows how to get into someone's head with her Veevees.. Whilst she has a team of 6, there are 8 fluffy beans and she uses all 8. Everyday she rotates which of her babies are with her giving all of them equal love and attention. But it makes her a menace in battles because you never know which Veevee she has when.

Hard to get her to ramble, she is naturally quiet, but if she has to be a voice of reason, she is Commander Erwin these people. Penny is and always will be the Anchor and voice of reason to team star, even after coming out from behind the screen. Only other way is to ask her how she got each of her eevee’s.

Arven has started calling the Eeveelutions - Veeveelutions because of how often he has heard Penny, you and Nemona say it. Penny plagued everyone’s mind with her nicknames.

If you are the adventurer to Arven’s caution. Penny is the calm to Nemona’s crazy. 

Penny cares deeply for all her friends. Team star is her family, we all saw what she did for them and continues to do. Our girl has a soft spot for Mel and Giacomo however. Mel because Penny relates the most to her and views her as almost the co-leader of team star: And Giacomo because he is the one she spoke the most to, he understands her better than most do. 

Almost never changes her style. Hoodies, signature Eevee bag, comfy all the way. A true Brit after my own heart.

Champion Lance vs Every Evil Team (I think)

🚀Team Rocket🚀

Lance is no stranger to team rocket; having infiltrated and destroyed multiple of their bases. Disbanded multiple groups of team rocket grunts, and prevented a second silph.co operation. He views them more as pests than anything else. Goons operating under his town that he has to fish out, and yes he will do it himself because Officer Jenny seems to be incompetent. (love her but seriously, the guy is right there)

As for individual members. Lance has crossed paths with Jess and James before; he almost ignored them the first time, finding their theatrical introduction foolish. But at the end of the day, they are causing problems for his town and him so he does deal with them. Well Dragonite does, he himself just walks past them to retrieve whatever they stole.

Giovanni however, that is a different story. Lance has NEVER liked Giovanni, he always felt something was off with him, didn’t trust him one bit. Once Lance tried to vote Giovanni off the Gym Leaders Board. To no avail as no trainer could take his place, at the time at least. Rocket boss Giovanni though, Lance wants to THROW DOWN, no messing around between these two. The Pokemon battle is usually won by Lance, but he has thrown an actual punch in before. Had to make sure he’d stay down for this one. 

Lance ultimately will deal with Team Rocket when necessary but he views them as more an irritation than problem. Giovanni is the only actual threat to him and even then Lance deals with him with little difficulty.

🔴Team Magma/Aqua🔵 

Lance has little to no interest in these groups, don’t get me wrong, he knows OF them and WILL step in if necessary but he has full confidence in Steven and his League to handle the situation. 

If he was to help however, he would deal with Team Magma, NOT Aqua. Lance would view Aqua as awkward and unorganised, not much of a threat, just a group of confused but strong trainers collective in a single goal. Going about said goal the wrong way.

Magma however, whilst having the same goal, has proven to be much more… Ambitious of the two. So Lance would make them his priority to deal with. Although he won’t have to get involved thanks to Rayquaza coming in and being Parent of the year.

In the end, he thinks both teams are as foolish as the other and will only get involved if Steven needs it or the situation gets too out of hand and the other regions need to step in.

☄️Team Galactic☄️

Now here is an interesting team, one of the few teams to be technically successful in their goal. Cyrus himself is not a problem, with his one track mind and surprisingly strong willed mind, Lance wouldn’t view him as a threat, more a final challenge if Cynthia hadn’t been successful in her mission to stop Cyrus. Lance would be there to step in. Team Galactic is one of the rare cases Lance would show up to help in some way, most likely with crowd control in Cynthia’s absence.

Cyrus is not a problem with Cynthia around, it's the rest of the team Lance would deal with, finding their antics and overall attitude disrespectful and problematic. Whilst he isn’t going to punch anyone like he would Giovanni, he will take matters into his own hands and with the help of the elite four - Drive the Admins of team Galactic out and ultimately try to disband the group entirely.

When Cynthia returns and Cyrus is locked away in Giratina’s realm, Lance would remain in the region to help with ‘clean up’ Clearing out any remaining Galactic hideouts and spreading any remaining artefacts they have as far apart as possible without causing problems for the respective Pokemon.

❄️Team Plasma❄️

Ahem

Yeah this is a problem. Ghetsis ALONE had the ENTIRE POKEMON LEAGUE after him, and multiple of him were actually down to fight hand to hand. Throw Lance in and he will be ready to physically throw down if it means temporarily stopping Ghetsis.

The team alone is strong, smart and well read, Ghetsis himself is a champion level threat. Put all of them together and you have a genuine world domination threat. I mean they froze and ENTIRE CITY with little to no effort. Ghetsis has even broken out of prison, is bordering on insane and has used two prisms on two different occasions to near perfect success.

With someone this intelligent, operating a team of this magnitude and intelligence to the point they started a civil war and have a WORLD DESTROYING LEGENDARY under wraps. Lance would not be sitting idly by for this one, None of the Champions are, this is an all out war between team Galactic and the Champion’s league.

Just gonna put this out there, N and Lance would get along. Bonding over trauma level of getting  along.

🔥Team Flare🔥

Oh Lysander… I love you but… you are very stupid. Well your team is. This is another group where Lance won’t get involved unless he has no other choice or Diantha asks for his help. 

The group itself wants to cause mass extinction to preserve the beauty of the world with only team Flare remaining. A bit stupid but to each their own. The group itself is large and has a decent hold on the Kalos region, especially in Lumiose. And Lysander himself is a genius, I mean look at what he’s invented and accomplished in his lifetime. He even had the champion and Sycamore fooled, he is no stranger to this game. Lance may even fall for Lysander’s charm.

If Lysander is successful in his operation with both the legendary and the weapon, this is when Lance will step in. NOW assuming we're going off the Yveltal cannon and NOT the Xerneas cannon (as they are two very different events) Lance would be on rescue duty NOT battle duty. His priority is the people he wants to save as many lives as possible from The fire and Lumiose. Evacuation and preservation are his priorities if team Flare gets this far. Lets not forget Team Rainbow Rocket exists and are all collectively in the know and are OKAY with the fact Lysander wants to wipe out the planet including them and are just okay with this. 

Team Flare may be a pushover but Lysander has AND WILL wipe out multiple planets. Lance will not be standing idly by if it gets to this point.

☠️Team Skull☠️

He honestly wouldn’t really bother with them. Yes he has Hyper beamed a random thief before. But this isn’t a random act of robbery. These are people who are just trying to live and get enough money to survive the day. He didn’t even know Team Skull even existed until Red mentioned it once in a passing comment. And even then, his regions aren't in danger, Guzma isn’t even a problem. Annoying, sure, problem? No. He is just a single mom trying to raise his unruly children.

🪼Aether Foundation🪼

Lance would be too busy dealing with the free Ultra beats terrorising the Pokemon world to care about Lusamine and her faction. He has a couple bigger fish to deal with. Although he would not hold it against Lusamine, knowing she had good intentions and even agreed with her overall goal to help ‘cure Pokemon’ It's the method he would have a problem with. Overall he again would not be very bothered with the organisation; more what they ultimately caused. 

Though he did make an off hand comment about Gladion’s battle skills, mentioning he had champion skills in him. Something Gladion hasn’t forgotten and has promised Lance to face him when all of this is over and he can finally breathe.

🔊Team Yell🔊

Would not care. He knows of them and could care less. Long as they aren't following him, his league or his challengers around. Lance will not care, besides he has Team Rocket to beat up.

Macro Cosmos (No emoji for you)

Be honest, who knows who this group actually is? Show of hands! Imma be honest i had zero knowledge chairman rose actually operated a team. Goes to show you how much I cared for Rose. Lance is EXACTLY the same. Poor man has no idea who Chairman Rose is other than “The guy who announces Leon sometimes.” 

I mean if for some dumb reason Lance is in Galar and has to battle Rose, it would be more a massacre then battle… ALL of Rose’s Pokemon are weak to fire, with two of the five having a 4x weakness to fire. Lance’s Charizard alone would sweep the whole of Rose’s team! Or if Lance was feeling extra special, he could just decide to wipe out both Oleana AND Rose with his Ace Dragonite as it's super effective against BOTH OF THEM. And yes he will punch Rose for being Chairman Rose. And also probably for Leon to. Don’t tell Leon or Lance will find you.

Oleana would creep him the hell out though... Her obsession with Rose and the EYES. Nightmares man.

We're going to ignore the Eternatus thing because that would be erasing Leon’s lore plus Giant fluffy Doggos. So uh…. Lance is taking a nap instead.

🌟Team Star🌟

Again, He wouldn't care. He’d probably scold them for not being in school at worst. Lance would praise their battle skills and overall presentation. For a group of kids, he will give them credit they know how to stand up for what they believe in. And certainly make an impression. Just don’t do it in his region. Jessie and James do enough of that as it is.

Totally not based on my dumb ass forgetting to eat on time and making a scene out of myself during lunch break. Nope. Bonus point if she has ONE dragon-type Pokemon who knew her ass was about to go down (my symptoms are uh...very vague) and Lance understands dragons fluently when bby fusses over their trainer. Its always a Dragonite, chunky Dragonites. I mean they send out mail omg, yes they know when we're stupid. I love you so much, thank you boo!

I did write this in a headcannon format, granted i can't read ;-; If you would like me to re-write this in story form i would be more than happy to do that for ya. I just like bullet points. lil dots make brain go burrrr. Hopefully i got this right or at least close to what you had in mind. This can be viewed as Platonic or Romantic so let your mind run free!

I based this off what my mother told me my Aunt was like. She had low blood sugar and tended to forget food a lot. When it was low she got reeeeallly cranky and would often vacantly stare off into the distance. Sometimes she would become really nervous or embarrassed as well.

Sugar | Lance x reader

Lance naturally is an extremely observant person, Given he’s a champion, he tends to notice tiny details about someone most people wouldn’t catch.

So when you rock up to face him, Lance caught onto something being… off… rather quickly.

Seems his pokemon did as well. Though he did not speak up, this was not the place or the time to get personal, so he waited, watching you a little too closely for a pokemon battle, though you didn’t seem to actually notice him staring at you with a raised eyebrow.

Despite the fact your head was spinning, the world around you blurring in and out as if someone was turning a filter on and off, you managed to stand strong, almost angry, the only outward give away was your vacant yet slightly anxious stare into the back of your Pokemon head.

The first half of the battle went surprisingly well for someone going more and more loopy, it was when you set out your Garchomp and Lance brought his trusted Dragonite out. 

Both Pokemon had little to no interest in one another, the pair more interested in the weeble-wobble currently standing behind them. Seems the dragons came to a mutual agreement at that moment, Lance taking the opportunity to cross the field, a move he typically would avoid unless necessary. 

When he reached you, his Dragonite close behind; your Garchomp had already steadied you, Lance noticed the almost disappointed look in your Pokemon's face, this is not the first time this has happened. He is no stranger to someone with low blood sugar

Lance isn’t stupid, he picked up on your body language quickly, the slightly murmured speech definitely helped catch on as well. He would usher you to sit down, ignoring any retaliation from you, now putting the battle on hold. Man may be competitive but he isn’t going to put your health in danger just to win. No matter how cranky or nervous you may be getting.

Que speedwalking Lance. You know that scene in Harry Potter where Snape walks down the hall and his cloak is just majestic? Yeah that's this - same exact thing. 

He would go to the closest staff member and basically demand rather aggressively to grab you some juice or chocolate, something that will help get your sugar levels up, almost sprinting back to you when he received what he asked for.

His Dragonite would help Garchomp out if you tried to argue you were fine or if you tried to leave out of embarrassment or fear. Though stumbling over your own feet anytime you tried to stand up got you sat back down very quickly.

Lance would make sure you ate/drank what he brought you, if you needed him to, he would eat a tiny part or turn his back on you to make you more comfortable; if you're someone who doesn’t like eating around others.

Once you do feel better, you would apologise to him if you said anything to him or lashed out, to which he would wave his hand telling you he wasn’t bothered and that you weren’t feeling well. Lance would also ask if you wanted to continue the battle or reschedule. He is happy to re-do the battle if you would rather get some rest and some proper food to keep your sugar up.

No matter what you say, Lance will walk you back personally just to make sure you get back to the town in one piece. He’d rather not hear about a body being found nearby. He would also remind you to keep food on you and restock regularly to prevent something like this happening in a worse place.

If your low blood sugar were to become a problem anywhere, at least it was nearby a friendly face.

Stubborn Lance | Taking care of him

You want to take care of Lance? HA Good luck with that. This man is one of the most stubborn people you will ever encounter.

There is only one way to actually take care of Lance when he is injured or sick. Exploit his one weakness. Spicy food. That's right, Lance’s weakness! Is food. Feed him and he will give in. Act quick though, he will only be willing to let you care for him, WHEN he has food.

The best thing to do for Lance is rub his shoulders, just let him lean into your touch whilst munching on whatever spicy treat you’ve brought him, and he is the most relaxed he will ever be.

Lance will ONLY allow you to do this when no one else is around, but he does love when you spoon feed him, it makes him laugh especially if you crack any jokes. It's odd to see him so light hearted over something that could be seen as childish.

Helping him fix any free strand in his hair, ironing the wrinkles and creases out of his cloak, playing with his Dragonite when it inevitably comes out of its ball. Seeing you do just simple little tasks that he may be unable to do makes his heart swell. Knowing you care helps him relax. His pokemon and himself are in very good hands.

Read to him please. He adores your voice and hearing you read something to him is his favourite pastime when he can’t move. More often than not, he will fall asleep to the sound of your voice, it's the only time he will go to sleep before you.

If you talk to the nurses and doctors for him, he is eternally grateful. He despises the feeling of someone hanging over his head, giving his position. At a hospital? This happened A LOT. So i beg you, deal with the doctors for him, Unless it's something actually important and not just a quick “check in” When you return, he has the softest smile on his face.

Ever heard of Exploding kittens? Lance has. It's his favourite. Since he can’t go anywhere and you won’t let him take care of you, why not play a card game. Don’t ask why he had it on hand. Or where he got it from… Some things are best left unanswered.

He is competitive though so… you could be playing this game for a while. It's a great distraction for him though so worth it.

Lance will try and stop you from caring for him, usually by trying to make you relax the moment he doesn’t have food anymore. At that point it's a lose lose on both sides. You won’t give in on trying to care for him, and he won’t give in on trying to stop you. Perhaps this hospital sells spicy curry somewhere.
